For a trip from 8 a.m. October 20 to 6 p.m. October 27, Economy Lot 4 comes to at most $49, while the three hotel lots ParkingAccess can book near the airport cost $62.47 to $88.13 with taxes and fees. Bradley International's own lots and rates
Bradley runs five public lots plus a garage through its parking operator, SP Plus, and every posted rate includes tax. Prices run from $7 a day in Economy Lot 4 to $30 a day in the Garage. In the surface lots the weekly rate equals six days, so the seventh day is free; the Garage's $135 week equals four and a half days.

The Express Lot 1 and Economy Lot 4 shuttles pick you up and drop you off at your car. Park & Walk Lot 2 is also the short walk to the International Arrivals Building. When a ParkingAccess hotel lot makes sense at Bradley
Book one of our three Windsor Locks lots when you want your space reserved before you leave home, when you want a hotel night before a dawn flight, or when you would otherwise park in Express Lot 1, Lot 2 or the Garage. Bradley's own lots take no reservations, so you can't hold a space there ahead of time.

What we found checking Bradley's numbers on October 5
Two things on Bradley's own sites don't match what most parking guides say. Bradley's parking site compares its lots with three unnamed off-airport companies at $15.39 to $19.31 a day; the three hotel lots we could book for the week of October 20 came to $7.81 to $11.02 a day, taxes and fees included. And the garage was far from full: the airport's own sensor feed showed 3,134 of 4,159 tracked spaces occupied (75%) at 1:58 p.m. ET on Monday, October 5, with 1,243 visits logged so far that day.
Method: we divided each ParkingAccess total by the 8 days it covers, read the rate table and lot statuses from parkbradleyairport.com, and read the occupancy counts from the status file the airport's parking widget loads. One Monday afternoon is a snapshot, not a forecast; holiday weeks fill faster.
Getting to Terminal A without parking
CTtransit's 30-Bradley Flyer runs between Terminal A and downtown Hartford, stopping at the Connecticut Convention Center and Union Station. The ride takes about 30 minutes, and buses run every 40 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays and about hourly early in the morning, late at night and on Sundays.
- Where to catch it: Terminal A baggage claim and arrivals level, door #6, outer curb.
- From the train: CTtransit Route 24 links Bradley with the Windsor Locks railroad station every 20 minutes from 4:10 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. on weekdays, for connections to the Hartford Line.
- Rental cars: every rental company now works out of the $210 million Ground Transportation Center across from Terminal A, so there is no rental-car shuttle.
Picking someone up at BDL
Wait in the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot on Light Lane, less than three minutes' drive from Terminal A. Bradley doesn't allow waiting at the curb or in the arrivals pick-up area, so the lot is where drivers sit until their passenger calls.
The Cell Phone Lot also has 2 electric vehicle charging stations.
sPARK Rewards: Bradley's frequent parker program
Bradley's parking operator runs sPARK Rewards: you earn 1 point per dollar spent in any Bradley lot or the Garage, and 70 points buys a free day in Economy Lot 4, or 420 points a free week. Joining costs a one-time, non-refundable $30 for the automated pass, which arrives by mail in 5 to 7 business days.
Free days cost 300 points in the Garage, 120 in Express Lot 1, 100 in Park & Walk Lot 2 and 80 in Economy Lot 3. Accounts with no activity for 18 months are closed and their points forfeited. Bradley's parking site also has a sign-up for parking specials and promotions.
