The airport was not quite busy and relatively small compared to other airports in the Capital city. It’s not an international airport but a medium-sized joint civil-military airport. The interior was clean and well-organized in general.

The interesting finding is that there is the place close to the gates to play arcade games, motorcycle racing or take the fun photo in the Photo Booth, while you are waiting for the flight.

There are only four baggage carousels at the baggage claim area on the first floor. You can look at the individual screen on each carousel to verify your flight for your luggage.

The BOI is just the right size; however, it is growing quickly to accommodate the growing population. Change is happening QUICK! There are relaxing areas to wait if you are early or have a layover, there are places to grab a bite to eat (sit-down and on the go). TSA can get backed up at key times for departures, check in 1 HOUR prior to flight departure and you should be okay, any later than that and you may be bumped from your flight or have to run to your gate!

Nice, small airport. If you have an early flight TSA security doesn't open up until 3:50am. Seems like some stores open at 4am.

Y'all REALLY need a better cell phone waiting area. That little thing on the side just in front of the parking garage frequently gets backed up and causes traffic jams. Like most things in Boise, it cannot keep up with the population growth. But inside the airport the operations are smooth. I've taken many flight in and out of this airport and it's been delayed like once out of all the times. Second best airport I've been to for speed of TSA next to Colorado Springs airport as well.

Very small but organized airport. The airport has a nice little gaming area to kill some time. Plenty of restaurants for a small airport. TSA is pretty chill unless you decide to go full throttle Karen/Darren. Massage chairs are available. Filtered water stations are available at this airport too.

The Boise airport has an easy to understand layout with just the right amount of amenities. As of November 2023 there are two sit down type restaurants, three fast food, one coffee shop with your typical shops you will find in an airport. Security is fast with a regular route, TSA fast pass, and clear. Really one of the best small airports you will find.

Small airports are the best. Our oversized luggage (skis) were ready for us when we got to baggage claim—NEVER happens elsewhere. Easy access to rental cars, super quick transaction. Clean and deserted even at 8pm on a Saturday night. We loved Boise airport and will be coming back through for more adventures.

This is a spacious, well-designed airport.

The staff, including TSA, are friendly and efficient, resulting in short wait times.

There is plenty of dining and shopping post- security.

They could improve on their baggage handling speed, if I had to find a fault.

Super clean and easy to find everything. Restrooms in point and everyone was super friendly. Can’t recall food option want to say Smashburger is there. Near united gates. Security was a breeze and crazy friendly

Very easy airport to navigate and to fly in and out of. Security lines are reasonable and move quickly and they have some of the friendliest TSA workers I’ve ever dealt with. The airport is very clean and has easy access just outside the terminal to get a rental vehicle. Enjoyable experience!

First time at BOI. Small, clean and friendly employees. I had a 2.5 hour layover and there were plenty of comfy places to lounge or workspace to get some work done. It was interesting exiting and entering with an outdoor jet ramp. Keep a jacket handy if you are there in cold weather because you will have a 100+ yards to get inside the airport.

April 2022 = good luck getting parking near the terminal, save yourself the hassle and just go straight to the economy lot, park near one of the pickup points, shuttle comes about every 15min.

Running late and still made it, no line at security and gates are pretty efficient to get to.

Always a pleasant experience through this airport.

Cool and unique that it has a little arcade on ground and air side.

Like the ACH home ad display bench with charging outlets too!

Love the art for sale display area(not staffed, you have to send an order or notice in for anything you want).

Boise Airport is very nice. It is easy to navigate. It is very clean and not cluttered. It was not busy on a Tuesday afternoon and there was not line at security.

Love this airport and how quick it is through security (especially if you have pre-check). My only negative previously has now been fixed, they now have the self tag stations at the Southwest counter so you don't have to wait in the long line anymore just to tag your bags.

Smaller than I expected. Super fast security, nice and spacious with a few eateries and shops. Mostly small planes here.

It's simply a wonderful airport. Easy in Easy out no long lines whatsoever, friendly service especially in first class. Very clean and I actually feel very safe in this Airport. And the view is quite wonderful as well.

Pretty good. You don’t have to expect very long TSA lines. You can pretty safely show up 1 hour from departure and be good to go. (plan accordingly for busy holiday weekends).

One gripe, they shut down everything early and open late so be sure to get drinks at the very first shop after security because good chances all the others are closed by the time you walk all the way down the terminal.

No issues flying out of the airport, car rental is located within walking distance and not a shuttle. This was important when you are flying out at 5:30 am.

Air side massage chairs are in a terrible high traffic area, the ones ground are much better located but not super clear on cost or time or features.

Decent assortment of arcade games before and after security unique that you usually don't see at airports.

Nice of bsu to have provided charging cable setups but not helpful when phone is losing juice faster than it gets it while "charging."

Running late and still made it, no line at security and gates are pretty efficient to get to.

Need more power outlets and old worn out ones replaced in all areas.

2022 Sep 9 = another smooth experience through security and on board, thanks!

Pretty nice Airport. We were in and out, not too busy. TSA were cool, calm and hilarious. My son almost got a cavity search on his first flight for trying to bring a Power ade on board.🤣🤣🤣Thanks for keeping our Airways safe!1🤣🤣😂

I like the Boise airport. It was quiet and clean. My TSA pre check was easy and efficient. The food options are good. As are places to just generally sit and hang out to work. I had a pretty comfort chair, table and outlet to plug in my stuff.

Had the misfortune of being rerouted and stuck in this airport for 12hrs due to Delta. Airport itself is very nice, clean and people working there are friendly (excluding Delta they act like toddlers just now learning how to make words) Also these people know how to deal with snow and work hard to keep the place running in the winter 🙌

I've been flying out of this airport for years to see family. You can generally rely on the Boise airport to be clean, efficient, and friendly (even going through TSA).

For new travelers, be aware of limited dining options. You will have a selection to choose from, but as this is a smaller airport, expect limitations. The same goes for in-airport stores, if that's your thing.

For whatever management team reads these reviews, my only complaint has been inconsistency with TSA. Kudos for the process itself usually being very quick. However, every time I've been here, asking questions as I'm preparing to get my things through the security line seems to always be met with an air of annoyance. Almost every airport seems to do things a little differently, and many no longer require the removal of tablets and smaller electronics from bags. The same can be said for taking off sweaters before entering the xray machine or removing liquids from bags. I felt the two staff members who were ushering us along could have given more concise instructions (and more helpful responses) instead of simply seeming annoyed and in an hurry. I was one of three people going through TSA on a Friday morning at 7am, and given how dead it was, it just seemed unnecessary and quite frankly detrimental to how good Boise Airport can typically be. I hope this feedback helps, as it seems that there were several folks training in TSA positions when going through. Believe me when I say, we want to get through our security process as quickly and efficiently as you guys do, but help us help you!

Great small airport. Security is a breeze that takes about 10 minutes. This is one of those airports that you can literally show up 30 minutes before your flight, print your ticket and run through security. Showing up 2 hours early for your flight is a minimum for a lot of airports, not Boise. In fact, don't waste your time showing up too early, as you will just end up waiting around.

There are a few restaurants to choose from but not much. Cross Grain is a great option if you want to have a cocktail or a bite to eat before your flight. There's a 'Hudson News'-type store where you can get magazines, books, snacks, drinks, etc..

Nothing else significant to report.

Great Airport, nice home feel with all the employees. Security was quick. Lots of good food options and a gas station at entry of airport to fill up the tank before dropping of the rental. Enjoyed flying in and out. Easy drive to Twin Falls.

If you only have 3 womens restrooms, maybe put signage up at other restrooms that one is closed. This would have helped many of us who thought we'd use the restroom close to our gate, only to discover it was closed. When returning to the restroom near Gate 11, finding an extremely long line of passengers. So, I continued on to the restroom near TSA. It was just inconvenient. Overall, the airport was easy to navigate and find everything.

Beautiful Airport. Saturday afternoon before Easter was not very busy. All staff were helpful and friendly. Especially Victoria my wheelchair helper. As a senior with mobility issues these wheelchair helpers are vital to keep the airport running efficiently. Big cheer to Southwest Airlines, your the best!!

Easy to navigate, gates are close, usually the security line is pretty short and fast. There aren’t a lot of options for food and things close pretty early and open late. Prices are insane but that’s typical for an airport. You’ll wait forever for food at most locations. However the airport is pretty clean and easy to navigate so overall they’re doing a pretty good job. They need a lot more cell phone parking spaces though.

By far the most cleanest and easiest airport to navigate for parking, gates and everything else. On top of that they give you brand new nice white cloth face masks. I don't have one negative thing to say about the airport or the employees, such a very pleasant experience.

Hands down my favorite Airport to fly out of. Looks modern and staff is very nice and I can always expect to go through security quickly. Has some food options not a lot but that's understandable due to the traffic that they get. Parking is also a reasonable price.

Beautiful and easy to get in and out of. A few more destinations and maybe some horizontal walking escalators would make this place perfect. Parking is small and the drop lanes can get busy. I think the food options here are great and the rental car services are in the airport so no need to shuttle. All in all a great airport and a easy place to maneuver.

TSA check in is separate so faster. Smaller but modern airport. They offer digital library and computers even have arcade area (great for kids). Been through lot of bigger airports and they didn't offer these relaxing features. Definitely local airport.

Everyone was exceptional. The young lady who helped me get across the airport... my bad knee... was personable and friendly. I tried to engage her in some mischief and she wouldn't bite. My kids do remind me I don't act my age.

This is such a nice airport! I made it through TSA so smoothly! And got to my gate very fast. I also love all the restaurants inside! I'm also so glad I got to take this picture!
