It’s a small but ok airport. So far all the flights I had here were ok and no bad experience at all. I like the way it is connected to an efficient tram service. Bathrooms inside the terminals are new and updated

Nice, France, is a beautiful coastal city located on the French Riviera in the southeastern part of the country. Known for its Mediterranean climate, stunning seaside views, and vibrant culture, Nice is a popular destination for tourists from around the world.
The city is famous for its **Promenade des Anglais**, a scenic walkway that stretches along the coast, offering breathtaking views of the azure waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The old town, or **Vieux Nice**, is a maze of narrow streets filled with colorful buildings, local markets, and charming cafes, where visitors can enjoy traditional Provençal cuisine and local delicacies like **socca** and **salade niçoise**.
Nice is also a cultural hub, with a rich history and numerous museums, including the **Musée Matisse**, dedicated to the works of French artist Henri Matisse, who spent much of his life in the city. The city is also known for its annual events, such as the **Nice Carnival**, one of the largest and oldest carnivals in the world, held every February.
The combination of beautiful beaches, historical architecture, and a lively arts scene makes Nice an exceptional destination for travelers seeking a mix of relaxation and cultural experiences on the French Riviera.

I love this airport. So modern and so technological. You can reach everywhere so easily. There is a train between the terminals. Also you can find good thinks to eat here. The rental car offices are in Terminal 1 and so easy to find.

Nestled between the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and the hills of the French Riviera, Nice Côte d'Azur Airport serves as a picturesque gateway to one of the most glamorous regions in the world. As the third busiest airport in France, it balances an impressive volume of international and domestic traffic while maintaining an ambiance of sophistication and ease reflective of its luxurious surroundings.
Location & Accessibility:
Strategically positioned just 7 kilometers from central Nice, the airport’s location is one of its strongest assets. The seamless access to the city via the newly expanded tram line is a notable improvement, offering a cost-effective and efficient alternative to the traditional taxi or private transfer options. The proximity to prestigious destinations such as Monaco, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez makes the airport a hub not just for tourists but also for business travelers and the ultra-wealthy heading to exclusive enclaves.
Architecture & Design:
The design of the airport is a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. Terminal 2, in particular, stands out with its sleek, modern design and expansive glass walls that offer breathtaking views of the sea. The architecture cleverly integrates natural light, giving the space an airy, open feel that is both calming and elegant. The sight of aircraft taking off and landing against the backdrop of the Côte d'Azur is a visual treat, and the proximity to the coastline creates a sense of intimacy with the Mediterranean.
Terminal 1, while slightly older and smaller in scale, still maintains a polished appearance but can feel congested at peak times, particularly during summer when the influx of travelers peaks. The terminal layout is intuitive, though during high-traffic periods, the flow of passengers can become less fluid, causing bottlenecks at security and boarding gates.
Check-In & Security:
Efficiency is key at Nice Airport. The check-in process, particularly for major airlines, is generally smooth with multiple self-service kiosks and a well-staffed counter system. Security is well-managed, with queues moving at a reasonable pace, although like any airport, there are occasional delays, particularly during the summer tourist season and peak travel times around major events like the Cannes Film Festival or the Monaco Grand Prix.
One potential drawback for some travelers is the variability in processing times at immigration. While the airport typically handles Schengen-zone travelers quickly, non-EU passengers may experience slower processing, particularly during peak hours. The airport could benefit from increasing staffing levels at immigration during these times to mitigate longer wait times.
Amenities & Services:
In terms of services, the airport offers a broad range of amenities catering to the diverse needs of its clientele. The selection of dining options is solid, though somewhat polarized between high-end restaurants and quick-service counters. For those looking for an authentic taste of Provence or the Riviera, there are a few quality local eateries, though they are interspersed with more typical international fast-food chains.
Shopping at Nice Airport, however, is where it truly shines. Reflecting the affluent nature of its clientele, the airport houses an array of luxury boutiques featuring brands like Chanel, Hermès, and Montblanc, offering travelers the opportunity to indulge in last-minute splurges. The duty-free sections are well-stocked with premium wines, local delicacies, and high-end cosmetics, making it a shopper's paradise for those seeking exclusive French products.
One notable downside is the seating capacity at the gates, particularly in Terminal 1, which can be insufficient when flights are delayed or boarding is postponed. Additionally, while complimentary Wi-Fi is available, the connection can be erratic and slow, which is somewhat surprising for an airport that serves

Super easy to navigate airport very close to parking, tram & taxis. For a small airport very nice shops and cafes all before security and a funky little food truck area just outside the main door

On a peaceful Tuesday evening during sunset, I embarked to the airport to wait for my bus in terminal 2. The airport was very clean, there were minimal crowds, and it was easy to navigate. Signs were posted amply and the customer service staff was also friendly. Bathrooms are easy to find, which can be important.

Nice fairly modern airport. The staff was friendly. Lines were short at 7am on Saturday morning in late April. Total time to check in bags, get through security and get to gate was about 35-45 min. There are places to pick up a quick bite to eat at far gates in concourse A

Good experience. Nice food and shops right at the gates. No long terrible walks required to find your gate. Could use more signs to send people straight from check in A over to embarking security if they already checked in online AND have no bags to check. Also, as you pass the security scanner, it would be nice to know for sure that your paperwork is valid to fly. Felt insecure that I would be stopped later...

Excellent care and support from the assisted travel team, despite the impact of the immediate travel restrictions staff were, calm, confident and thorough. It was incredibly busy and so they were all under a lot of pressure, my only concern is that they really should have been more gentle when removing my boots and patting me down because I have an acquired brain and spinal cord injury and I'm in a lot of pain and have limited use of my legs which seemed to annoy them at security.

Finally after sooo many years of travelling I found an airport which is connected with the city. You can walk or take the normal train. You dont need to take an extra airport shuttle cuz the airport is right connected with the city. And if you land it feels like you land in the sea. Kinda cool

Really modern and clean airport very close to the city you can get cheap public transport within 20/30 minutes. Good free public wifi as well. One star is lost is because there are a lot of locals who bother travellers asking for money which is annoying and I had to move into the departure gates which is more crowded

The airport is well connected with public transport and having arrived and flew from here on a Sunday it was efficient all across. The airport itself was also clean, tidy and modern in appearance and I would definitely use it again.

Nice place and well organized. The line at check in was moving fast and the personnel was well prepared. Plenty of restaurants and duty free stores. Lots of available chairs to rest and plenty of restrooms. It has a pretty nice view also, being near the sea.

A comfortable place to be in. It can be quite busy, but still coping well with the influx of people. Small, yet rich duty-free zone, nice place to have a snack, smoking area and east transfer between the two terminals.

We arrived at the airport heading straight to Cannes, and the place to meet your Uber driver is right next to the depot minute which is right opposite T1 arrival parking area.
Returning back to the airport from Monte Carlo 3 days later was a smooth 30 mins drive ride. The airport itself is extremely well organised. BA check in desk is right next to the fast track security gate, and its very sufficient and passport controller was swift.
The business lounge is right next to Gate B once you pass the passport controller gate and lift takes you straight up to the upper floor. Amazingly our broading gate 41 was directly underneath the business lounge.
There's also a smoking room on the ground floor right next to the B gate area. Absolutely incredible how convenient and thoughtful everything was! A big thumbs up 👍 to this airport!

Very clean airport with a lot of airlines and cheap flight prices, especially to and from the UK. Includes countless shops and very nice staff which makes the entire experience a lot more enjoyable. Information screens are fully working and any updates around airline flights are updated on the dot so you aren't left waiting wondering what is happening with your flight.

Beautiful and very clean. I like the architecture, the open space gives it a unique look and the palm trees makes it more amazing. The airport is easy to navigate and the tram is just directly outside the airport. I like the little Christmas decoration as well. 🙂🙂

Lovely airport in Southern France. Both T1 and T2 are modern and feature enough seating area with duty free stores. The approach over the sea is also one of the best in Europe. Easy helicopter transfer to Monaco or bus/tram to downtown Nice.

Good Airport, big and bright. A lot of duty free shops.
A lot of private jets are taking off / landing there, + a lot of airlines, so the airport is overloaded and we had to wait ~30 min to take off. Also there are a lot of people in the airport.

Great airport layout! Accessible to Everything you need. Bonjour merci
However, on our departure an airport security has been tightened by scanning a boarding pass twice while on a busy queue with our stuff through the scanning machine, that was ridiculous, it’s not necessary.

The airport was very easy to navigate although there was some confusion over when hold luggage drop off should be with easy jet. This resulted increased waiting times.
Security was quick although there was a bottle neck at 8/9am entering. Compared to other security check outs, this one felt a lot more forced and stressed.
Within the actual airport, the facilities were lovely, many shops and food places which catered to different dietary groups.
Unfortunately within the men's loos there was a broken toilet.

Although the airport is might look small, it has everything you would need for a last minute shopping, enjoy a delicious meal or simply sit and relax before your flight! All traditional trademarks in terms of olive oil and chocolate have been kept, so if have missed something in the city, you would be able to complete it at the airport. 4 restaurants, couple of newspaper/ book stands, smoking area, souvenirs, clothes and chocolate as far as the eye can see ;)

Clean and great staff. Bathrooms could use a cleaning more often. Arrived in Nice and there are official taxis and the tram outside the carriage carousal. I recommend to get the Nice cote d azur transit app if you have android (only 1.7€ to use the tram/bus transfer within 74 minutes in one direction) as getting formal tickets at the airport is 10€ and you have to buy round trip. They don’t offer individual tickets. I’m told within the airport, the tram is free until you exit so you can exit at the first outside stop and buy the individual tickets (to save some euros). This is because Unfortunately for iOs apples, you have to have the physical transit card first to use the app.
For my next visit, Entry to departure from using the tram was easy to get to. Directions to departure were easy to navigate.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the immigration officer who helped me and my family at the Nice airport. After a long journey from London Stansted, where we were treated quite rudely after missing our flight to Marseille, we opted to fly to Nice and take a coach to Marseille. Upon arrival, we were faced with a long queue at passport control, and I was struggling to manage with my children.
To my surprise, an immigration officer approached me and, in French, kindly directed me to use the French exit point. She brought my family to the front of the queue, sparing us an hour-long wait. Thanks to her quick and compassionate intervention, we were able to catch our coach at 4:30 without any issues.
If it weren’t for her help, we might have missed our connection. We are so grateful for her timely support!
Thank you once again for your prompt assistance. It made all the difference!

The airport is on reclaimed land so it seems like you're going to land in water, but don't worry, you're not.
Arrivals is very straight forward and you'll be out in no time. Departures is a bit more complicated as there are two sections of the airport and it can be confusing if it's your first time at the airport.
Decent amount of shops and lots of seating. Staff are helpful too and will point you in the right direction.

This is the main airport serving the Côte d'Azure region of France. There are connections to all the major cities in Europe. The airport has very good facilities.
