Relaxing compared to other airports, TSA is almost always chill and friendly, the terminal and bathrooms are clean, and there's always available parking with no need for a reservation, even on holiday weekends. For most of the year, arriving 1 hour before your flight is plenty of time even when you have small kids and lots of gear. Add on 30 minutes if you need to drop off bags or if your mobility is limited. They have a dedicated TSA PreCheck line. There is 1 cafe and 1 restaurant in the terminal but they're not always open so I don't rely on them. Even though flights tend to be more expensive from BLI compared to SEA, I find it's worth it given the cost of gas, ease of parking/TSA/walking to the gate, and overall time spent on traveling.

Usually fast line through tsa or no line. Very small. Two parking lots. Costs less than seattle to park. SW Air, Alaska/Horizon and Allegient fly from there. Food concessions with sandwiches and drinks and one restaurant with alcohol.

Tiny (4 gates) yet functional airport. Much easier than dealing with Sea-tac.

Really like this airport! Landed and departed from this airport in July 2022 for our Southwest Airlines flight to/from Denver. We usually use SeaTac International Airport when we visit family/friends in Vancouver, but this airport gives SeaTac a good run for its money. Bellingham International Airport (BLI) is much smaller/compact, no huge crowds, and TSA/security was a breeze to get through - no long queues, no wait, no fuss. And they have TSA PreCheck too. There are only 5 gates, all at ground level, so you have to use a ramp to get on/off the plane, but it's all part of the fun of using a small airport. Luggage came out very quickly, and rentacar desks (Avis, Budget, etc.) are all located inside the terminal building, so no shuttle bus rides to a distant, off-site location. Southwest doesn't fly directly to BLI from Denver, so one can connect through Oakland or Las Vegas to use BLI, but it sure beats the long drive up from SeaTac on Interstate 5. BLI is only 20-30 minutes away from the Blaine/Pacific US/Canada border crossings. There's a Costco nearby too, if you need to get some eats and fill up the petrol for your car. Overall a great little airport!

2024-July. This is a small airport.
We had to de-board outside upon arrival.
We arrived 2 hours before our departure and we got our luggage checked in and we went through security in about 5 minutes.
The airport was clean. 5-stalled ladies' restroom & water bottle refill station is across Gate C.
There was one nursing pod beside Gate C.
There were 2 quick bites stores when we arrived early in the morning.
Benches do not have the armrest so we can lie down across the seats. There are plug-in stations along the windows.
Have a safe flight ✈️.

Absolutely beautiful airport. Great staff, great snack shops, great service! They have upgraded their airport, and altho it may be small it is so clean and well built. Love the new technology they have upgraded since the last time I flew in. Amazing job keeping this place spotless and clean!!! Definitely recommend this airport! I guarantee you will have a good experience at this airport! Just remember to treat the staff the way you want to be treated! Were all humans!

My visit was VERY short - I merely flew in from Seattle on Alaska Airlines. What I saw was nice, and the staff were pleasant. TIP: If someone is picking you up, and you they can get in and out of there in 30 mins or less, parking is free.

Flight was great as always. Took off and arrived exactly in time. The airport priority staff, the TSA folks were fantastic, but the head Flight Attendant was rude, unfriendly, not helpful to a handicapped traveler. Shame on her!

This airport is so cute! The way that you board is a throwback to old times. I'll be sad when it gets big and crowded like all the others. Three days b4 Thanksgiving and it was practically empty. All of the employees (especially the lady at the coffee shop) were so friendly! As you can see the SW employees were getting ready for Christmas hanging decorations. Loved it!

It's so tiny and cute! However, it's perfect for the purpose I needed/will need. I know with Southwest running nonstops a couple times of day from Oakland/the Bay Area this airport will get a lot more traffic from people like myself who are visiting Vancouver or British Columbia.

Small airport.
Great parking and easy access. Signage is as good as any large airport, and it made it very easy to know where to go again going both ways.
Very easy flying in and out.

Great airport. Small, but well organized. Not very crowded, and you don't have to walk a mile of lines like SeaTac. Plenty of parking. Get a ticket when you enter and a ticket booth (machine) when you leave. Pretty self-explanatory. I also saw a Best Western shuttle van. You can stay the night and leave your car at the hotel for a small fee while you're gone.

The airport is tiny but that means incredibly short lines (if any at all). The workers have always been super friendly and helpful. Never had a bad experience here (so far).

Great regional airport that avoids the hustle and bustle of the larger ones. Small TSA group that can make for a longer screening if they are busy, pick your flying days carefully. Reasonable parking rates..

Sister airport to the Abbotsford airport, but on the other side of the border. Like the Abby airport, this one has 5 gates too and offers some decent flight options to US and some international(?) destinations through low cost carriers. Because of the small size, you tend to be in-and-out in no time. Security is pretty easy as well. Have found the staff here (of Allegiant air, which is what I have flown) to be very helpful and courteous.
Airport also has long term car parking with options to park closer (more expensive) or at a small distance to the airport (cheaper at about USD10/day) with shuttle service.
I have noticed though that this airport typically does not show as a "Nearby" airport when searching with SEA or YVR. So I have to literally search with BLI

Best little airport. Only 5 gates, and they still walk out to the airplane! Haven't done that since I was a kid. Great alternative to Seattle. 45 min drive to Vancouver.

It's very nice. It's the perfect temperature. The planes and equipment are kind of old. But it is safe and usable. There's also a restaurant and a place to buy food and snacks. The bathrooms are clean. There's rental cars and a bus stop.

This airport is extremely small, four gates. Park right outside the front doors. This is a fantastic airport to get in and out of quickly. There are a couple things to eat, a great little coffee shop with some food, snacks, and coffee, etc.
