Large rooms with good desk for working. Comfortable and clean. A little worn. There was a real leather lazy boy chair in the room with foot rest...worn but extremely comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Candlewood is great for both short stays and more long-term trips. The rooms come with a kitchenette that's stocked with all manner of cookware, silverware, dishes, and cooking utensils. You also get a full sized refrigerator/freezer. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. There's a little convenience store across from the lobby. The best peek of this place is free laundry. Absolutely free!
Only hotel we stay at when in Cleveland. The location is perfect and the staff here is super nice. Definitely home away from home
First visit to Candlewood. Rooms and amenities are nice. The long term rooms are well furnished. Nice efficiency kitchen with all the needed stuff. Bathrooms are large. Separate bedrooms are a plus as well. Prices are good. Front desk staff was very kind and helpful during my stay. I will return.
I have had extended stays in hotels in the past but I must say the Candlewood Suites in North Olmsted has really been a pleasant surprise. The rooms are clean and well stocked with everything you need from pots and pans to a pitcher. The property is well kept both inside and out. The most outstanding feature however is the staff. I have yet to encounter any employee who didn't smile and say hello. There is truly a pleasant atmosphere. Kudos to the management and the entire team.
Amazing staff.. Beautifully clean rooms as always. I had a lung transplant and I need that. And the rrates are great. We highly reccomend Candlewood Suites.
Incredibly noisy between floors. Only one staff member was available around midnight to try to calm the guests above us. Ultimately we had to confront them and ask them to quiet down a bit. If the guests above us weren't partying it probably wouldn't have been an issue.
Candlewood Suites North Olmsted Review
My husband & I stayed at the Candlewood Suites in North Olmsted, Ohio, for two & a half months. It was very reasonably priced. He was getting medical treatments, & it was close to the clinic, which made Candlewood convenient. On top of that, there was a huge mall with all the major stores just a few blocks away. Restaurants were within 5 minutes—any type of food you would want. I often walked across the street to Walmart.
Our one bedroom suite had a very comfortable bed & the best pillows (Pacific Coast) I’ve ever slept on.
There were 2 TVs—one in the living room & another one in the private bedroom. When my husband watched football, I closed the bedroom door & watched my favorite shows.
The kitchenette was stocked with all the kitchen utensils you need to cook small meals, & a full sized refrigerator & dishwasher!
There were free washers & dryers at the hotel—so convenient—along with exercise equipment. The hotel itself was very clean & the grounds well cared for. The parking lot was being repaved while we were there.
We would recommend the Candlewood Suites in North Olmsted, Ohio. If we visit that area again, we will definitely stay there. Dave & his staff were very welcoming & accommodating with our needs, always with a smile.
Excelent internet. Of all the IHG hotels and resorts i have visited, this property has the best internet. It is also nice and modern and has a lot of extras to make your stay comfortable.
The hotel smelled very strongly of some kind of spray in the hallway...so strong that it gave my husband and I a headache immediately. Room didn’t smell as strong, but is in need of repair, and if you like Firm beds, this place may work for you. Guests near our room constantly banging the door until after 10:30 pm. Front desk attendant with blue hair was short with me when I asked about IHG rewards, and her excuse was... “I’m new and Chloe (I think was the name she said) will have to help you”, knowing that she was in the back room trying to get through to Priceline for another matter. Positive would be if you are planning on staying for a week, it may work for you because it has a small kitchenette with even a mini stovetop. That’s awesome... Unfortunately, it doesn’t work for us because we are passing through for one night and don’t have time to buy food at the grocery store. Next time, we will stay at a place that offers at least a small continental breakfast with coffee. Blunt, but honest. My husband calls it “working man’s suite”...
I really liked it there. The people were really nice. It's in a good area with a shopping mall in walking distance. I would advise not to take a cab if you are not from that area.
Best water pressure and most comfy beds....Slept like a baby. Friendly staff. Overall it was a great place to stay.!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My husband and I were moving across the country with our two cats and had been stopping at Candlewood hotels because they are pet friendly, up until this one they have been great. After a long day of driving we went to bed only to be woken up at 12AM by the fire alarm - we were in a state of panic and confusion thanks to the ear splitting sound (us and the cats) whom we had to dragged out of hiding. We get outside and NO STAFF IS AROUND TO TELL US ANYTHING AND THERE IS A MASSIVE THUNDERSTORM. Thankfully we'd been driving, so we put the cats in the car and waited...after 30 minutes with no change, we found another hotel! Didn't even spend a whole night there yet we paid 175+20 pet fee. When we checked out we learned the storm caused the fire alarm to go off...WTF. If you want you're best to have a safe and restful place to stay - don't go here in bad weather.
It could be better. Some of the staff are super nice, but two of them are not nice at all.
I was there for 9 days before anybody clean my room, that's a management call, but the housekeepers were very professional and super nice.
The room was nice and clean, and even had a full kitchen. The location was excellent, very close to a mall and some great breweries and restaurants. My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely stay here, so much so that we decided to cancel other plans to stay another night! Unfortunately, the price rose significantly on the 2nd night and we had to stay somewhere cheaper.
We checked in and found our room to be very large and spacious, clean, and the most comfortable bed we’ve had in any hotel. Though our stay was awesome, we were a bit surprised by the authorization policy which placed a hold on my debit card at check in but did not apply the hold to my bill at check out. The result was a two night stay and the authorization both being charged to my card. When I called the hotel and spoke with Sarah she explained everything to me and then went more than the extra mile to help me get the funds returned to my account immediately. I thought Customer Service like this was a thing of the past. I would like to once again thank Sarah for being so helpful, thank You Sarah. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Cleveland
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit HotelBuIly. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere!
Couldn't have asked for a better overnight hotel. The room was pristine and the finishes were modern! Extremely comfortable and quiet, too. I would definitely consider staying here again!
