I was checked in to a room for wheel chair disabled. I had to dry up puddles each time I showered. Irritating accommodations but, I survived it. I would use them again. I will check my room status in advance. The room was on reserve for a month. I am certain that they gave better accommodations to those who were before me. Slept Well..:)
This place went beyond my expectations. It was lovely. Service was great, rooms were clean. The restaurant that's in the hotel was great. I would recommend and also visit again
The rooms were fine. However had to change rooms after being there for 30 minutes. The toilet clogged up and overflowed. The front desk was pleasant and quickly accommodated me with another room. The restaurant in the hotel had good food and the staff in the restaurant were great. Hotel shuttle to airport left on time. Other than the room issue, I enjoyed the stay.
Have stayed here many times and have always been very pleased. Excellent customer service, clean, well appointed rooms, room service available at very nice restaurant on property (Ted's.) There is also a convenient coffee/snack bar open 24 hours a day. Parking is not a problem and park-n-fly packages are available. Shuttle to air train runs every 30 minutes.
I stayed on the first floor of the hotel, room 136, right near the gym. As I was laying on one of the beds, a bug crawled over the sheet. Upon further inspection, I realized it was without a doubt a bed bug. I have my bachelors in hospitality and tourism, so I am very familiar with how bed bugs look and the procedures hotels need to follow after a guest finds a bug.
The man at the front desk was very kind, and moved me to a much farther room. His reaction is the only reason I'm giving any stars at all. I was very unimpressed with how the GM handled my complaint via email.
Since I had already unpacked some of my things, I still had to quarantine my things and buy the necessary items to ensure no bugs came with me home. When I finally got in contact with the assistant GM of the hotel, she said the room was inspected, none found, and then stopped responding to my emails.
I dont believe it was asking too much to be refunded for my stay. The stress of having to inspect all my belongings, having to pack up and change rooms, and then not being able to use my things until they were cleaned and quarantined thoroughly, not to mention the cost of buying disinfectant products, fully warrants a refund. I've attached pictures of the bug, which i put on my room key and showed the front desk.
Stay at your own risk, but DEFINITELY avoid the first floor
