Ever since the new management took over this place has turned around so much. It is so peaceful here now and I just love being able to walk around and greet friendly staff, and the night security is a major plus. Family, friends or business the accommodations are excellent with more than fair pricing. Thank you to all the new staff for turning this place around and making it better for our family and business.

In the deep of kent. BUT is basically like an apartment. Staff is nice and friendly. And was a place to stay for a few people during covid 19

Tracee the night manager was very welcoming, ensured we had been accommodated well and switched us to a better room after our original one has some problems. Went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you Tracee!!

Rooms are small but clean. Has a 2 burner stove, a fridge, a sink in the kitchen area. Single room with wood floors. Blackout curtains over the windows makes it easy to sleep.

This place was clean have a decent pet area and make sure all guests with pet follow the rules on where the animals go

Rooms were clean and spacious. Employee's we're kind and helpful.

My wife and I have stayed in our fair share of local hotel/motels in King and pierce county and I can honestly say out of all those places we have visited Home Towne Studios in Kent has to be in the top 3 of my most enjoyable experiences. From the exemplary Customer service from wonderful and friendly ladies such as Tracy at the front desk to the hard working cleaning staff that are always busy keeping the living areas clean and home like. There is definitely a positive and enjoyable camaraderie amongst staff and local regulars like myself it's definitely my choice for home away from home 5 stars Tracy and staff keep It up we appreciate you

The location was the priority for us and the rooms didn't measure up to the images presented online. Our bathroom had a hole in the wall and plaster flaked off the wall.

Whilst there is a kitchenette there are no pots or pans provided and no plates, bowls or cutlery so pretty useless from a visitors point of view.

Parking was not a problem and you are issued a pass to display whilst you stay.

Stayed there for 3 nights



Room was clean and taken care of, bedsheets were clean from what i could see, microwave was cleaned



Kitchen are was clean



Bathroom was clean



Didn't have any disturbances that prevented me from sleeping



Other reviewers mention motel wasn't clean and noise disturbance, not sure if i was lucky that i didn't experience that



Car was safe in parking lot, had no issues.



If you are booking through 3rd party, u have to contact 3rd party to add any guests who will be staying with you.



Overall i had a positive experience, for the price it is a great place to stay



You will have to go to reception to get new towels



Reception doesn't always answer phone at night incase if you are calling



Grocery store is walking distance too.



No issues with getting deposit back

Everyone that works there is very nice!!! THE PROBLEM IS THAT AS OF TUESDAY THE 17TH OF MARCH THEY WILL NOT PROVIDE CLEAN SHEETS ,CLEAN TOWELS,OR TOILET PAPER. WE PAY A LITTLE OVER $2000 A MONTH.THIS IS MY ONLY COMPLAINT!!!

This place is beautiful now because the GM they have right now his a good man and being alot of change right now he clean out all the crack head now the place is so nice thanks to GM Dane

**Great Perks, but Some Issues**



The hotel offers some great perks like free parking and a well-equipped room with a fridge, stove, and microwave. Unfortunately, there were a few downsides—my toilet was clogged, the Wi-Fi was very slow, and the elevator wasn’t working, which caused some inconvenience. I hope these issues can be resolved soon because the hotel has a lot going for it otherwise.

I'm not sure why everybody is complaining and for the person who's saying there's cockroaches I have not seen one cockroach so I don't know what you're talking about I haven't seen any problems actually the room is really clean the sheets were nice the towels were soft which is rare for some hotels.. the staff that they do have they're amazing Tracy started about a month ago and has been working so hard to keep everybody happy Tracy this advice is for you you can't please everyone although you're so sweet for trying you just can't I think she's amazing she does a great job she definitely knows what she's doing and is willing to go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of her guests great customer service which is hard to find the manager Alberto is very helpful I appreciate the both of you and all your hard work put into this hotel with basically just you two running the front desk keep up the good work we were definitely pleased with our stay thank you we will see you again

Was there for a friend but seems like it was a comfy cozy and clean place to stay..I wouldn't recommend for long term though unless you were trying to pick a few pennies.

Affordable clean rooms and great staff!

Great rooms at a reasonable price. Also feel like its home away from home. Every room has a small kitchen for cozy cook in nights.

Nice place :-) . I did have to plunger my own toilet, but the room was clean, and is next door to a very nice grocery store. It's more meant for extended stay. Full kitchen.

Fair price for the offer. If you travel and want a reasonable price, this is the place. Pay attention to where you park your car, though.

The new management is really turning the place around! The bad crowd that use to hang out there and the drug sales have both basically stopped completely! Big plus that staff is so friendly and helpful too

I arrive at the hotel office and nothing out of the ordinary the lady at the front desk was nice and accommodating she gave me my room card and all the information needed she only asked for my make and model of my car, I went upstairs and I tried many times to unlock and open the door but it wouldn’t work so I went down and asked for a different card. she gave me a different card as she heard that I struggled for a while she told me how to open it and sometimes it’s hard to get it opened, I went in the elevator I met a gentleman who was very polite and staying on the 3rd floor, I went to the second floor I was able to open the door only after a different guy on the ground floor outside told me a tip on how to open it properly I struggled a bit but those who were around me were very helpful even the ones who were just staying, some problems I can note when I came in there was a odd smell which I got used to, I looked in the freezer (I didn’t get a photo of that one) I saw a corner of a Reece’s peanut butter cup label on the freezer so that tells me that the freezer doesn’t get wiped down, as I entered the bathroom there was no curtain so I wasn’t able to shower when I arrived so the next day at night after the event I came back to the hotel and asked for one 7/21/24 12:05AM the night shift helped me and gave me one and apologized I forgive, another problem and this is not your fault but the couple near me were arguing loud at 1:30am and slamming their door but I was able to sleep after. Owners of the establishment it’s a huge request but can you please have better door unlocking mechanisms it would ensure as a woman traveling solo I am safe to quickly open the door and go into the hotel room safely I didn’t mind this stay but if a person with bad intent was on the same level and went for me I would have been a goner I might come back if I ever need a quick hotel to stay at thank you! Depending if I get my deposit back It might be a 5 star

I have stayed here before many times. The rooms were always dirty, but i kept coming back because of cheap prices. This time 10/26/2019 there was new employee, the gentlemen that clean my room is beyond friendly and so helpful. Room was extremely clean. Unfortunately I forgot his name, he was thin build and looked hispanic. I was hoping to see him today again 10/27/2019 sad to find out his working thru some agency and is not an actual hotel employee.

The new management is on top of things!! So much quieter. More pleasant atmosphere. Not afraid to sit outside at night. Thanks to Miss Donna and Bonnie. I truly appreciate everything!

I love this Motel it has the cleanest Motel I've ever seen that is like a small apartment thank you guys so much I had such a good rest while I was there cuz I was mainly there to sleep.

The hotel was a great choice for a cost effective option in Kent, WA. The staff at the front desk (GM Ms. Donna) was very inviting and in a positive mood upon arrival considering it was pretty late in the evening. When the issue arose, which would be the one and only reason I was considering never returning to this property in this lifetime or 10,000 afterwards, the staff was extremely resilient and surprisingly cooperative (to the best of their ability) when having to be subjected with my overwhelmingly unfortunate circumstances in trying to find a resolution. Because of their professionalism and cooperative effort to reach a resolution or solution to my problem it's the saving grace that would make me return in a heartbeat. If you've ever dealt with Hotel staff in the front desk before you know how difficult it can be to find some kind of human inside behind the nametag and uniform. This staff here is the Michael Jordan of hotel concierge and I just wanted them and the rest of the world to know it. Thank you, Donna and Terrence, for your help with my situation.

I've been staying at this hotel for 4 months now and it has become my home. The staff are very kind and understanding. Myesha the new manager is awesome, I can tell that she truly cares about her job and the hotel.



The rooms are cleaner than most, nice wood floors, FULL KITCHEN, new TV with cable, always parking available right out front, and I swear they must have the cheapest rates in town.

The sunset motel is literally next door, the place is a dump, so gross, and their rates are literally DOUBLE.



I love it here and I have no plans to go anywhere else. If you need a clean, easy to find place to stay for a day or a month, I highly recommend you stay here.

I have to say Ryan was extremely helpful and very pleasant to work with! We enjoyed our room and our stay and will definitely stay here again. Very convenient and quiet location. :)

The employees are hella laid back and don't ever bother you during your stay. The only downfall is that they didn't have ANY complimentary, miniature shampoos & conditioners乁⁠(⁠ ⁠•⁠_⁠•⁠ ⁠)⁠ㄏ

There are many types of guests who frequent this type of establishment. I happen to be a professional and travel quite a bit. From the first phone call to Check-in, Terrance handled my reservation. I was running late and September then picked up my problem. I have had nothing but a great visit with more than courteous staff. Miss Donna has been super pleasant with me and my family as we are relocating. More than willing to point out points of interest, helps us with the local activities, and guide us in the right direction wherever we may be going. Professionals all the way from the maid staff to the front desk 100% delightful and easy to deal with. 5 stars is not enough. If your in need of an extended stay, and in the Kent area this is the place to stay. Thumbs up Miss Donna, September and Terrance and the rest of the staff! One truly happy guest!
