Nice room. Clean. Conveniently located near the airport. Free shuttle to airport. But not many places to dine within walking distance outside the hotel. A little bit stingy on amenities. Coffee in the room, soap, and shampoo not replenished at all during our three night stay. In fact no housekeeping at all during our stay. In house restaurant was adequate, but not more than that. Expected more considering the price.

The only good thing about this hotel is the breakfast food, and its location near the JFK airport.



We experienced a poor customer service. When we arrived at the Federal Circle shuttle station the Crowne Plaza shuttle wasn't there. It was about 2 AM and we had to wait for about 45 min for the shuttle to appear.



Then, at the front desk, the staff gave us little information about the breakfast time, check-out policy, etc.



At the breakfast, they took around 35 min to bring our food, which is a lot of waiting for a regular American breakfast.

We needed a hotel close to JFK and we're really pleased with the proximity. The hotel is located primarily in a residential area. It was easy to order food from restaurants nearby for delivery (Sofia's a must!!!). Having shuttle service was a BIG plus. You're able to connect to the Airtrans then the A Train to all the tourist spots, during an extended layover.



Staff/customer service was excellent and friendly. We left an item behind and they graciously helped arrange mailing back to us, thanks to George the Front Desk Manager. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Because of our travel issues, AA referred us to this property. We had a 7:55am flight and this was very convenient. From check in to the shuttle, our experience was five-stars! Clean room. Clean bathroom. Comfortable beds. All good!

I stayed here after a cancelled flight and reschedule that put me on the next flight at 6am. I was super tired and I had no reservations so I called and the receptionist said to find the shuttle and just come in. The shuttle was easy to find and when I got to the hotel I was given a room right away, it was really late and I was exausted so it was a blessing to be given a room so quickly. I had eaten at the Airport so can't review hotel food. I had a clean comfy room with great shower and slept really great. Very clean and well appointed. My main concern was to make it on time the next day to the Airport but the receptionist said the shuttle ran every half hr and I was able make it to my flight on time. I'm writing this a year later but now that I'm planning another trip to NYC I remember how much I liked the convenience of this hotel and will stay again after a late flight. Looking fwd to it.

The only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because their customer service was great. Otherwise it would only be a 1. Had to change rooms because stains were on the mattress cover which showed through the sheets. Next room had Dustin the night stand, etc so apparently not properly cleaned. But this place has the nerve to have a sign in the room about their room cleaning policy. Apparently, someone didn't show that to housekeeping. Very disappointed. And I usually like Crowne Plaza.

Not impressed AT ALL. I have called the front desk at least 6x since arriving 3 hours ago. Our double room with 4 ppl 2 adults, 2 kids only has 2 towels & 2 washcloths. I asked for two blankets since the bedding only had a sheet set. They sent one blanket. When I inquired about the blanket for other bed the guy that dropped off the blanket said my manager said only bring one. Finally received 2 blankets and both have huge holes in the same spot like a rat chewed right through it. Why would you give guests blankets with holes in them? So far it’s so not impressive and it’s the first night.

First: BE extremely cautious when booking w/a credit card online. They took my credit card and booked someone else's name with my card!! When we arrived to check in at the Crowne Plaza JFK airport hotel the agent said they don't have a reservation for us under our name. When my husband asked if they have our credit card info the agent said yes, but under a different name! She wouldn't check us in until all was resolved

The agent at the hotel lobby called this entire situation "weird." This is straight RESERVATION THEFT. One hour later the agent booked us 2 new rooms - but NOT adjoining as we had reserved. Before making our final decision to stay we checked the room. It wreaked of cigarette smoke, had a broken thermostat (heat was absolutely necessary that night), and the lamps had dim light bulbs. We decided we can not stay here.



Twice we called to speak to a supervisor. Once they said they'd call us back within 48 hours. That never happened. The next time we called to resolve this issue and the supervisor hung up on me. This is shameful and disgraceful. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, even for a night's stay.

Want to say big ,,Thank you ‘’to Alina , one of the staff people who was in charge of the shift about a week ago . She was extra helpful in every way to make our stay pleasant . It was really helpful and less stressful when she arranged a separate ride to airport port when I really needed to be on time to meet my sister who did not speak the language.Other staff was really nice offering free extra bottle of water when I needed one. Safe, clean , pleasant environment. Very much recommend for staying .

We had a lovely stay at the Crowne Plaza JFK. The woman at the front desk, Shanna (something like that), she was very sweet, helpful, and accommodating. Being a member, we were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a junior suite! The rooms were very nice and clean. We are at the restaurant which is open until midnight which was a big plus! The food was good, the service was great, and we were impressed that the manager came around to check and make sure we were enjoying everything. We took the shuttle to the airport in the morning and had no issues. They run every half hour. They also have a park and fly option which is great.



Only minor issue we ran into was there not being anyone at the 24hr lobby market for us to purchase some snacks and beverages before leaving. Other than that, everything was great and I would certainly stay here again in the future!

Isn't what I thought it would be. A little disappointed. When we got there, there were only 2 towels, 1 washcloth, and the 1 roll of toilet paper that was already in use. There wasn't a microwave, not even a clock in the room. But the Buffalo wings from the restaurant was very good. Dominic greeted us,was awesome the entire time.

It was good the night I arrive. The representative by the name of Chris was very helpful even with the line that he had at check in. I observed him taking care of everyone mutually but Saturday afternoon, I approach a representative for assistance and he was threatening and unprofessional. This interaction changed everything because his behavior was unnecessary. I recommend working with employees like Chris but whomever was in the baby blue blazer needs customer service training.

The room smelled like smoke when entering and was very dusty. I wanted to open a window but they were all sealed! Spacious room but would not stay there again. Staff was nice and professional.

My stay was quite pleasant though the room was cold because of the weather but I was able to increase the temperature.

The receptionist was helpful when I checked in as she helped me to carry my bags to my room since I was coming from the airport and I had 3 boxes.

There was no one to help me when I checked out so the hotel needs to improve on this by getting a bellboy/man to help people with their stuff.

Overall experience was okay.

I booked a room for Valentine’s Day with my fiancé and we were so excited to stay at this hotel. We read good reviews and had no doubts we’d enjoy our stay. WRONG!!! Not only was the service terrible, they cancelled our reservation with no notice and then refused to help us claiming to be sold out. The front desk associate went to get a manager because at this point I was distraught. It was Valentine’s Day! He seemed to busy to help me and was very rude! Not once did he offer an apology or a suggestion to help. I work in customer service and that is NOT how you handle a potential customer. Overall the management there needs improvement. I will not be spending my money here and I will direct ALL of my friends and family away from your hotel!!

Hallways flooded with weed smell , really felt like it was coming out the hvac unit it was so strong. Had to change room because of heavy smokers everywhere. Other than that great service and food was very good. If you love to smoke weed this your hotel.

Traveling for 25 years around the world I have certain expectations when I book a hotel for over $100 per night. For example, I am used to a clean room with a bathroom that has soap in it. Upon checking in and settling down in my room, I discovered that there was no soap in the bathroom. I was too tired to go and demand a piece of soap from the front desk, and used a body wash instead. The second strange disappointment was that the lotion bottle was already greasy. During COVID-19 pandemic that wasn't really pleasant. Of course, even a bigger unpleasant experience was that the toilet was stopped up. It seemed to work in the evening. But, something happened overnight. You can see the picture.



I am giving this review a 2 star rating mostly because I enjoyed the sleep that I needed so much. The area and amenities are left out because I had no time to explore or use anything extra. But, I hope to stay in a better and cleaner place next time I am in New York.

Stayed at this hotel last night. First off, no recognition for my loyalty as an IHG Platinum Elite member upon check-in. I am not even referring to a room upgrade just a “thank you so much for your continued loyalty,”I got zilch. Of course, just my luck I got a room on top of someone seemingly hosting a huge party. Throbbing bass and loud music underneath me shaking my room and hearing everything through the vents. Met a staff member who went to talk to them and supposedly “shut it down,” it did nothing as they restarted when he left. I tried messaging hotel again to do something and got no reply. I did not sleep at all. Rooms were nice and overall a nice looking hotel and convenient from JFK but customer service is lousy. I know I will probably get a message saying “we are so sorry... and we strive to do better next time” and will probably not offer any compensation. Next time there will be no next time” if this is how guests are treated there.

I never complain but this was just too much. I hope you can improve for future guests.

Not very friendly staff at the reception.The room is lower average standard, but t really, the food inside their restaurant was just absolutely disgusting - sorry to say. I returned it almost untouched, but was charged for it nevertheless ("all or other guests greatly enjoy...").

There are plenty of other hotels nearly to choose from.

Best hotel near JFK, at least the I can book for business travel. The staff is great and very helpful. Room has been clean on every visit and the shuttle drivers are timely and friendly. I will continue to book here for my business trips.

Upon arrival the receptionist was unfriendly, he really must hate his job.

I booked a King DeLuxe room, I indicated in my special requests that I want the room to be clean.

My room smelled, no it actually stank! There must have been heavy smokers in this room before. The carpet was so old and dirty, it was gross. There were stains on the bedding!

I requested another room. When I got the other room there was no smell, but the carpet and the bedding was as dirty as in the room before. On top there was old water standing (not draining) in the bathroom, so that I was not able to use the tab. I was too tired and exhausted from my previous travel, so that I did not try to get a 3rd room.

When I wanted to eat breakfast a man asked me to complete a form. I refused, I just wanted to get my breakfast and then back to the airport to get my connection flight. Next this man wanted to charge me for the breakfast, that was already included in my room charge. After a discussion he went to the reception to verify and then came back in a bad mood.

The charge on my credit card is still pending, but it is more than I booked the Hotel for.

I traveled the entire United States, and I have to say that this was the WORST hotel I ever had to experience. Never again



Update 11/23/2020 Interesting response: the GM's takeaway from my review was to look into the charges? So the dirt, the bad plumbing and the unfriendly staff is normal to them?

We never received an apology, nor any kind of refund. Stay away from this Hotel

Very courteous and helpful staff. Great location in relation to the airports and large highways. Very diverse food options in the area with local bodegas open 24 hrs. Well kept building and grounds, limited parking available.
