This is a tired hotel that is strategically located near the airport. Needing a refresh but the staff couldn't be any nicer. The lounge is nice, drinks good and food pretty good.

Stayed here overnight as like so many other people the night before a flight. I did do the state park and fly package, which I thought was very reasonable for the overnight and up to eight days of parking the package was still less than one night at the Marriott next-door Not including parking the hotel overall was nice. I did get an upgrade complementary, which was nice as well I was a little disappointed. There were no restaurants on site. The staff was very nice though in giving us a paper that appeared to be premade up with the local restaurants that you could go to if you want to drive and/or Uber and also a list of restaurants that delivered The lounge that they have for Marriott members was not good at all. There really wasn’t anything in there when we got there in the way of snacks I think there was some bottled water and maybe two or three soda options and I think they had like wrapped apples and maybe some bananas Nothing salty or sweet to speak of the shuttle coming and going was prompt timely the shuttle drivers although different on the pick up and the drop off were still very good. Nice professional took the bags. I would recommend the place. Just no going in that you’re not gonna get much in the form of the concierge‘s loungeor any sort of bar on site restaurant on site. They do have a small little snack store but even that was mediocre.

Overall a very nice hotel. The staff was great. Only downside is the rooms are a little old but the bed and pillows were comfortable. Only issue I had is one time the shuttle didn’t stop to pick up to go to the airport which made me run behind a little for work but otherwise it was a very nice stay.

Overall an excellent place to stay. Arrived with a Rental car and decided to check in first. Spent 36 minutes in the hotel and was charged a full $16... I was 6 minutes longer than the free allowance. The room was very nice and the staff were friendly. Excellent shuttle service to and from Newark airport.

Great stay here the night before my early morning flight. Beautiful gym. Welcoming front desk staff. Good bar. Room service was super fast. Comfy bed. Would definitely return.

It was one of the best Marriot branded hotels I've stayed at. The gym stood out. It was a full gym! The front desk was also great. Room can be improved but it was comfortable .

Conveniently located across from Newark Airport. Not much in walking distance. On-site parking is not complimentary. Room was clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. Quiet stay. The on-site restaurant recently has closed and made our stay less convenient.

Sherae at the front desk was the utmost professional. She was pleasant, knowledgable and really went out of her way to accommodate us. As a travel advisor I can only wish my clients run into front desk professionals like her. Great job Marriott!

Hastily made reservations here after multiple flight delays. I promised my young daughter that we could swim in a hotel pool, but soon discovered that just about every local hotel does not have a pool even though they all have pictures on Google maps.

Renelle and the other young lady behind the desk at the Renaissance both have redefined quality service by calling a number of local hotels to check for a pool, helped cancel my registration while I made a new registration at the hotel they found with a pool, and arranged for their shuttle driver to take us to the new hotel. Helpful, happy, and without hesitation while helping me take my business to another girl. All of this to help a father keep his promise to swim in a pool. Those two women have single handedly won my loyalty to their hotel, which I will plan to stay at whenever I fly into the area. It was a rough travel day but they brought back a little bit of that travel magic.

I didn’t stay at the hotel. However, I walked around. Very elegant. I will stay in the future while flying out. I parked there for my travels out of Newark Liberty International AirPort! They run shuttles every half hour. Hotel personnel very nice and helpful.

Departing from airport must get to P4 parking area for all shuttle passengers pickup. Ask at airport for clear directions.

This is my go to Marriott when in Newark area. The staff is all very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The shuttle service is convenient and it’s the best full service gym of most hotels.

The rooms have been renovated and a very comfortable bed. The Kevin Murphy bath products are luxurious.

The restaurant and bar is closed and certainly hope it reopens again soon! Would’ve been five stars otherwise.

Rooms are clean but in need of an update. The interior looks a little tired. Great place to spend the night if you are going through EWR and need a place to stay. There is also a complimentary shuttle to take you from the airport and back to the airport.

The room felt a little unorthodox, but the bed was extremely comfortable. Staff was very nice. Only thing really off was the shower situation. It goes from cold to baking in a volcano with the slightest of touches. Took me 5 minutes to get the sweet spot, but all in all in all a very good experience.

I recently stayed at the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel, and it was a pleasant experience. The room was immaculate and well-maintained, with a cozy bed and fresh linens ensuring a great night’s sleep. The decor was modern and elegant, creating a relaxing atmosphere.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, making check-in and check-out seamless. Its proximity to Newark Airport is a major plus, especially for travelers. Additionally, the onsite amenities, including dining options, added to the convenience. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and hassle-free stay near the airport!

Very friendly staff. Wonderful facilities, big gym with stair stepper. Hardly anyone there at most hours.

The lobby and bar and restaurant were nicely decorated and spaced out nicely.

Ok hotel. Gave me a regular room to start and it was very small. Checked with front desk and they gave me an upgrade to what I would call a normal room. It is quite being near the airport. Older decor but it is clean. This property does have one of the nicer hotel gyms I have seen.

We had to pick a place to stay near the airport bc of flight cancellation. Comfortable bed. But the hotel needs an upgrade and a thorough cleaning. I found a long piece of curly black hair hanging on the top of the shower curtain. Carpet and wall in various places of the hotel are falling apart.

No restaurant in hotel. But the hotel gave us 3 paper flyers of local restaurants we can order from. Hotel had a small grab and go counter with some beer, wine, chips, cup o noodle and such.

Free airport transportation shuttle

Runs every 30 minutes. The 4:30 am shuttle was FULL (we were advised to be downstairs in line at 4:20am)

Make sure to use HoteITully.ᴄᴏm when booking your resort. This website will compare hundreds of booking web sites and usually will have prices much cheaper than others! You're welcome :)! This resort is one of the highest rated in the area. I have been staying here for a long time. If you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed.

The staff greeted us and was very helpful getting us to our rooms. The hotel and rooms were clean, the fitness facility is AMAZING. Had dinner in the hotel rest. Food was good and the staff was very kind and virtuous. Great location from the airport and rental car facility.

It's a dated hotel but the bed was comfortable and the TV was large and user friendly. The heating unit failed overnight but engineering was quick to respond. They were unable to repair it and offered a room change. I was checking out anyway and decided not to. They said they'd block the roof off after I checked out to ensure future guests were comfortable.

I was chosen to come to Elizabeth New Jersey to train new hires for the Ruby Tuesday which is in walking distance. The hotel is so comfortable, can't say quite because of the planes landing and taking off. That aside it's a very relaxing place. The only downside is they removed their swimming pool!

Nice hotel, the lobby area, gym, restaurant etc are great and the best of the Marriott hotels in the area. I've stayed here multiple times for work and can say the rooms are in need of a remodel, each one had holes in carpeting, tubs were falling apart and had drainage issues. Location is lame nothing within walking distance except other hotels.

The rooms were only a three out of five because they need remodeling. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly. The lounge area for Bonvoy elite was missing some quality and options compared to other properties. Location is great for Newark access and the shuttle is on time every 15 minutes (though in high demand in the AM) arrive early.

An older Renaissance Hotel but still nice. All good, especially Airport shuttle. Gym Huge. I had an early flight just not sure no coffee or grab to go breakfast. Only downside no coffee shop bar or restaurant. I am platinum elite Marriott. I expect coffee and a grab and go breakfast. Bed so comfortable.

Thank God for Marriott point bonuses. After a canceled flight, this place for only 20,000 points, came in a free shuttle to pick us up and it was not that bad for an airport hotel. Our room was pretty big and clean. Some things were dated a bit and the bathtub clogged up. There is nowhere to walk to get any beers or food so we felt stranded and only choice was to eat in their restaurant. It was decent. 55$ bill for 3 of us. Waitress was wonderful. Whoever hires here does a good job because the crew of employees were very friendly and treated each other like best friends.

Don't be scared!! We stayed here for 1 night and it was fine. I am a platinum member and this airport fit our needs for a stopover for a cruise. This hotel has all the features know for Renaissance hotels. We did not use the shower. But that is a personal choice in precaution to starting a long cruise. If not cruising I would have used the shower. Great staff service.

Airport shuttle runs less frequent than others but was comfortable and easy. One of the closer hotels to airport, but quiet. Very friendly staff even when we arrived at 11pm! They notified the heck out of us regarding the possible Legionnaires - multiple emails, we called to ask a question unrelated and told us, and upon arrival asked again. They made it clear the only risk is breathing water droplets, and it's really only a risk to immune compromised (but we didn't shower). Most comfortable bed in the last 3 nights of hotels.

Kenn and Takeria really saved the day for us after getting more or less stranded in Newark at 1AM due to a missed connection. We made an error when trying to book and the quickly accommodated us in the middle of the night. Truly thankful to have found this hotel.

The fitness center is also incredibly well equipped.

The rooms themselves are a little dated and the bathroom was very small even for being a junior suite. Carpet was also coming up in multiple areas especially around the television area. The location and service at this hotel was fantastic and I would stay again as the bed was very comfortable and it's convenient to the airport. What does recommends some room updating.

I didn’t stay overnight at the Renaissance Newark Airport Hotel, but I booked parking through a third-party app while flying out of Newark for a long weekend. Overall, the experience was smooth and the staff left a great impression.

I arrived around 4 AM on a Saturday. The parking lot was well-lit, and I found a spot quickly. Although I missed the first shuttle, the next one arrived in under 30 minutes—right on time.

One important heads-up: the third-party app did not mention that you need to check in at the front desk to register your vehicle. I only learned this after returning from my trip—when my car battery had died and I went inside for help. Had I not needed assistance, I would have attempted to leave using the QR code provided by the app, which wouldn’t have worked. That likely would’ve resulted in having to pay for parking a second time and trying to dispute the original payment, with little chance of success.

Fortunately, the front desk staff was extremely helpful. A team member came out with a portable jump starter and got my car running again. It was such a relief after a long day of travel, and I was truly grateful for their willingness to assist—especially since I wasn’t even an overnight guest.

While I can’t speak to the rooms or accommodations, the professionalism and kindness of the staff speak volumes about the quality of service here. I’d absolutely consider staying at this hotel in the future.

Great location, rooms are good not great. But the service is awesome. Everyone at the front desk from Lyle, Nafeesa, and Angel greeting me by name when I walk in making you feel special. Then you have the restaurant and bar crew Angel, Stella and Frank always taking care of me at dinner time. Such a great group, they make it much more enjoyable to be away from home. I appreciate these guys!

Pros: the woman cleaning my floor was so friendly and helpful. Love the Aveda and Kevin Murphy products. My room was available, so they let me check in early. Convenient to airport. Bed and pillows were comfortable.

Cons: room didn’t smell good. The carpet was rippled. The a/c was not working when I arrived, but I told them as I left and when I returned the room was cool. No pool. No continental breakfast. The shuttle pick up from the airport was delayed and too crowded. People were waiting 40 plus minutes. I pushed my way onto the shuttle so I don’t know when the other people got picked up

Definitely starting to show its age. Staff is nice enough, but doesn’t go above and beyond.

Gym is amazing! Definitely top 5 hotel gyms I’ve ever been to.

Concierge lounge is nice and quiet and usually has a decent dinner.
