The rooms are lackluster, the food is basic and the staff specializes in telling you no. This hotel is good if you're expecting a motel feel. If you want a nice and hospitable place to lay your head, seek elsewhere

Room was clean .. parking lot available for free .. the attached restaurant had great servers but food wasn't that good.

There is small overpriced store.

There is coffee maker in every room.

Ice machine + vending machine in every floor.

Parking lot is safe.

Monique was just the sweetest phone person I have spoken to out of all hotels I called. Just the best attitude and beyond professional. She did not sound like a robot and appeared to be a very happy person. We need more people like Monique. If I can’t get a refund from the other hotel, I will call you 1st on my next trip.

Lobby looked very nice with decent pool and gym areas. Restaurant wasn't bad. The rooms were lackluster, and very dry. Free internet and a satisfactory range of TV channels. Decent hotel.

The location for an airport layover is fantastic and the free shuttle service is great. The restaurant is quite expensive as are the little shops inside. We paid for a room with 2 queen beds and got a room with 2 double beds. Also, the water was hot even on the coldest setting. Could not have a shower as a result, luckily the front desk gave me access to a nearby room so I could shower. All in all, the stay was fine but nothing to write home about

Needs a renovation and TLC!Not the best hotel for cleanliness! The hallway carpeting looks old and stained, dirt embedded.

Bedroom closet door off hinges. Peeling wallpaper as well as lounge chair torn and material chaffing. Furniture is old and outdated. I bathed cold water since the hot wouldn't come on and when it did, it turned cold fast.

Bed was okay but comforter had some tiny stains.

The noises can be heard outside my room and in the next room. Made it very difficult to get rest.

This is an older hotel. It was a very comfortable stay. The shower pressure is very sufficient, making the task of taking the shower very efficient and comfortable. Bed is comfortable as well. Staff was very friendly including the shuttle bus driver.

Excellentvalue for our money. Also I was extremely happy to have real coffee mugs in the room not Styrofoam or paper also for the coffee stirrer they use a wooden straw instead of plastic. They also offered in room organic coffee pods which is amazing. my only suggestion for that is to have actual creamer instead of powdered creamer to complete the early morning coffee experience.

The hotel is a little older in appearance however it is extremely clean the staff is friendly and professional.

we also enjoyed the restaurant both for the dinner and breakfast excellent service excellent value-for-money.

Booked a room through my travel agency for work. Apparently there were issues with the card. So instead of reaching out to travel agency, I learn that my reservation was canceled. 1AM stranded in Newark, NJ with bad weather. A simple call could have addressed the issue... Would not recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a convenient and simple stay.

For the price, you get what you need - homebase while you run NJ/NY. Room service is overpriced and not good. Don't expect more than a luke warm shower. You'll hear your loud speaking neighbors. Dated, but not too outdated. Otherwise, clean facility, the beds are comfortable and the location is perfect for getting around.

The staff is very nice and helpful. Victor at check in was excellent.

Was staying here because my flight was delayed. Airline gave me a $15 voucher for dinner. Used it at the bar but my credit card was still charged $15. Tried calling accounting and front office manager but no answer and mailbox is full (been a week). Talked to front desk (very helpful lady) who got my information and forward it but still no call back from accounting. Customer service is not their strength.

I've been to many great Crowne Plazas, this isn't one of them. While it's great to have an airport shuttle it's by no means unique. And a location with no sidewalks in the street outside should mean guests are to be warned they're stuck unless they have their own means of transportation. Much worse though is the appalling hygiene of the breakfast buffet and the attitude of a staff that'll happily chat on between themselves when a guests walks up, and offer no explanation or apology when the guests key for unexplained reasons have stopped working. Most likely due to incorrect coding or maybe just because the mag stripe is such an outdated technology that wasn't designed to be near modern mobile phones... There are better hotels at similar or better price around...

Crowne Plaza has some of the nicest people I have ever met. Timely service and absolutely great food and atmosphere. There's a guy who usually works Saturdays who is wonderful to talk to. If you ever see him tell him I said hi πŸ˜‰

Stayed there on the way to and from Aruba. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. We had dinner in the lounge and the food was good. Never got to use the pool. Good place for a layover.

Been traveling to Newark on business for last 20 years at least monthly. Stayed at every hotel several times around airport including this hotel. 35 minutes for shuttle to arrive, previously called hotel 4 times for info from front desk and customer no service and for 10 minutes no response. Arrived at hotel with 13 people wanting to check in at 7 pm and only one person at front desk and no manager and they wouldn't call one. There are dozens of competitors NEVER STAY AT THIS HORRIBLY MANAGED FACILITY .15 minutes later line hasn't moved now going to bar.

Not bad for an overnight, but if it's for a few days, might have to think about it. The place is a bit outdated, and could use an upgrade. Plenty of parking, although you need to pay for it. The morning staff was helpful, but the night shift needs more training. The room was your standard king size bed in tight quarters, and it was in need of carpet cleaning badly. Not sure when was that room last used, as dust was visible in most of the room. Tried to get some room service, but was put on hold for more than 10 minutes. Decided to order from somewhere nearby. With more staff training, and perhaps, a due renovation, this spot could earn more stars.

Stayed weekly over a period of two and a half years so I know the Crowne Plaza in Elizabeth very well. The hotel rooms are a tad dated but shouldn't discourage anyone from staying. It's always clean and the staff when I was there was top notch. The restaurant is dated and can get backed up at times but is very convenient. Cant say the hotel location is the greatest but it has 24/7 security and secured parking. Plenty to do and eat nearby just be careful.

This is a convenient hotel to the EWR airport. It's nice enough. The towels could be fluffier. The bar/restaurant has a nice happy hour, but only discounted prices on drinks, not food. The staff is super nice.

The Crowne Plaza Elizabeth is my hotel of choice when in the Newark area. I have been staying here almost weekly for nearly 5 years. There have been many changes! It's the staff that makes it special. Leslie at the front desk is possibly the nicest person you will ever meet! She has always gone out of her way to help me with any concerns I might have. Stella in the restaurant is always courteous and friendly....and a good listener as well!

The entire staff from the housekeepers to the van drivers are excellent.

The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The exercise facility is fully stocked and the guest laundry is always clean as well.

Before I opted for this hotel, it was a struggle for my friend and myself but this hotel exceeded our expectations. From the reception to our suite was gorgeous. They are polite, gentle and appropriately connect with their customers. Checking in was like a piece of cake. They have more than adequate elevators with lightening speed. The rooms are very clean and feel comfortable. The rooms could have been a little bigger, but it wasn't an issue. I will recommend this place always.

Restaurant is nice and clean. Great tasting food. Would like to share that restaurant staff Estella carries a very pleasant personality. She is very hard working, serving tirelessly with a great smile.
