Visited from Toronto with the family to explore New York City. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were great. The beds are super comfy! My only complain would be that if you get a room where the balcony is inside overlooking the hotel lobby, you’ll hear people talking. Especially over breakfast. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay! Thanks for having us!

Staff polite, welcoming & helpful. They deserve 5 stars however, the room we were assigned to was OCCUPIED! Fortunately, no one was in room, we didn't enter, beds unmade & suitlcases insight.

The food & service at the conference was EXCELLENT! The chicken, carrots, mashed potatoes & asparagus were cooked to perfection!

Clean, comfortable Room. Parking can be a challenge since they have public parking for the airport. Bar was fun and lively. Bar tender (Vincent?) was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was a disaster as poor service. I think staff need some training as it seemed like not well organized. We left after 10-minutes of no service.

Located near the airport, this company has a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. It is nicely decorated and has a pool. I wish I had more time to explore rather than a 7 hour layover. The cookies are delicious but contain nuts. The staff and were a bit rude with each other at times in front of guests and our room had a bit of a smell upon entering. Although it appeared nice and clean, it almost had a staleness and cigarette smell to it in a non smoking room. If you can get a good price, overall it seems like a good place to stay.

Free airport shuttle. Greetings with a warm cookie as soon as you walk in. Comfortable bed and good water pressure. It's limit outdated, renovations would be welcome. Very busy at the time I went. My room was facing inside, view on the bar and it was noisy. I would recommend room facing outside for quieter stay.

I personally didn't stay at the double tree hotel, but i did assist my best friend with decorating one of the banquet hall rooms for an appreciation dinner. The banquet room was very spacious, and the customer service was exceptional. I would like to recognize the director of banquets JUDE KELLY for his awesome customer service. He exceeded my expectations as he made accommodations for us to have our room fixed the way it was supposed to be when booking. Because of this, i am looking forward to hosting my own event there one day. Thank you!

we had a very happy stay at the hotel. Erika at the reception went far and beyond to help us check in and stay welcomed; the rooms are also very clean and spacious. Overall they made a long trip seem stressfree with the relaxing and yet family friendly atmosphere. I love this place and would definitely visit again.

Great experience. I took a trip to New York City for my birthday and this hotel was exactly what I was looking for from day 1, close to the city, great amenities, and they really take care of you. Specifically Tim at the front desk, people like him are what makes staying in hotels worth it. He treated me like a friend from the moment he met me and left a lasting impression. Double tree if you read your reviews please give this man a raise because he single handedly makes the guest experience better! And Tim if you see this and remember me, I’m sending a big wuddup from Canada, hope you’re well!

The service here is unparalleled! They are AMAZING! Everyone is so friendly and happy to help! This is the best hotel that is close to Newark Airport!

The rooms are clean and quiet! They have refrigerators as well! It's a very comfortable hotel with great amenities!

The only thing that is off, was a strange orange spray paint on the outside of my window....However, it wasn't a deal breaker. They fantastic staff made up for anything amiss!

hello, this isn’t a review but more so a question I’m going on a trip for my 18th birthday and where I live is a good distance from the airport so I was just wondering if I could check in on my own with a valid form of identification, and maybe a written note or so from my legal guardian?

Now for the review- I have stayed at this hotel three times in the past year or so, usually accompanied by a legal guardian, and every time it has been pleasant the trip to the airport after has always been smooth. staff is very kind and understanding of things that you may need help with. rooms were a great size and very comfortable.

Just stayed one night enroute to catch an early flight at neighboring Newark international airport. Folks at check in were very nice and hotel and room appear nicely maintained. We didn't use the bar or any facilities, so I can't judge them. Additionally, we planned in advance to park here during our trip via way.com and they have around 130 dedicated/reserved spots for those individuals. Those spots are in reasonably close proximity to the hotel. We read lots of variable reviews about way.com, but so far so good. The hotel is very well attuned to ways.com parking, so I was very pleased with the business communication between the hotel and way.com. They have a 24/7 shuttle that leaves about every 1/2 hour to the airport, so we'll see how that goes tomorrow!

Great stop. Had a flight early out of Newark International Airpot the next morning so I thought I would keep it close in case I over slept or something. Front desk ladies were great even allowed their personalities to show up so it wasn’t just transactional. I like that. The room was clean with a view of the New York City skyline. It worked out great. Highly recommend this hotel. I’ll definitely be back when in town again.

The front desk clerk charge me 25$ plus tax for parking and all night long the gate bars were left open and no parking security available. I feel like if the hotel going to charge for parking than I should feel like I'm paying for something safe and secure. She charge me for the card and I not once had to use it to enter or exit the lot. It really felt like parking was free. I was charge for parking because I mention it to the front desk clerk. So I Would like my money back

I’d like to especially mention Tim Butler from the front desk for his exceptional and most professional hospitality skills. He made us feel welcome, safe and accommodated for, like we were VIP guests. We were all exhausted from a six-hr flight but he reassured that we were taken cared of. He deserves 10/10 and should be the standard for welcoming guests. Other than that, the rest of the services were average. No daily housekeeping. Two sets of towels were replenished once on a four-night stay in a 4 guest max room. Water bottles were way overpriced at $5 per small bottle. Overall, we felt safe, which was most important to us in a chaotic city.

Beautiful hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. The gym is top of the line with everything you need and the breakfast is a much. I enjoyed the executive lounge because I was the only one in it and I got alot of work done.

Really close to the airport about 5-8 min. Free shuttle to and from hotel. Our rooms was impeccably clean although a bit cold for us (oldies here 🤭) , but we just turned off the AC and voila! Staff member Raul was super helpful and the ladies taking care of the housekeeping too, and except for a young girl with long braids at the front who looked a bit moody when I spoke to her, everyone else was super nice and professional, especially Tim and the ladies with glasses. We paid only 20$ extra for a small fridge to keep our drinks cold during our 4 day stay besides that everything else was included in the original reservation. We used the microwave in the bistro and the guys there were so nice also. Bed was so comfy, we slept like babies. We’ll definitely come back! I can not for the life of me understand the complaints. It’s not the hotels fault how the streets and highways are built in NJ. Too many loops to get anywhere, hence the longer ride times. Also ALL hotels change a deposit for incidentals that if you are a decent guest is refunded. Here is a pic of my hubby in our wonderful room.

We stayed here during a shopping trip in NJ: the stay was WONDERFUL!!! The hotel is just so beautiful and well designed. The staff were friendly, professional and engaging. Miss Jessica was just AMAZING; During Check-in, she greeted every customer and handle all of the guests concers with ease and efficiency. Our room was CLEAN, SPACIOUS, and COMFORTABLE(especially the PLUSH PILLOWS.) My only negative is, there was no microwave or refrigerator in the room(it would have been nice to have those.) Other than that, the HILTON lived up to its BRAND & STANDARD. This is why I prefer HILTON HOTELS hands down and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location. 😁😁😁😁😁

My flight arrived at 1 am. Got to the hotel and was greeted with warmth and cookies. I was exhausted, and with out having to ask, I was given an extended checkout without charge. The room was clean and quiet. I love the Crabtree and Evelyn bath products. I ate lunch at the restaurant in the main lobby and it was very good. It took a bit longer than expected, but I was happy with my Cesar salad and salmon. The house chips and onion dip were good as well. The hotel has a great gym and pool as well.

We stayed in room 540 on the night of July 28th. The people at the front desk were very accommodating, I had asked for some extra bath towels, and for someone to unbolt the balcony door so we could open it (it is bolted for safety unless you request it open). They sent someone immediately, awesome service. The room was comfortable, the beds and shower were fine, and the layout and architecture of the hotel are quite interesting. The building is fairly old, and it does show it's age here and there, but is decently maintained. Our only complaint would be that the on-site restaurant is expensive and slow, but at least the food was good. There didn't seem to be any other places to eat within walking distance. We will stay here again if we are in the area.

This hotel has excellent customer service. The staff really wants to see you enjoy your stay. And goes out of there way to make sure it happens. When I have to stay in Newark this is my number one place to stay. The 2 managers I have come in contact with are great. And I look forward to my next stay at the hotel.

We stayed for 1 night and it was great.

It was fast to get from the airport with the shuttle.

The front desk was very welcoming and we were greeted with warm cookies and check in was super fast.

When we got to the room it was very clean and beds and pillows very comfortable. Shower was also very good. No complaints in any form.

Every person we came across working at the hotel was very friendly and helped us out quick.

We would stay here again 100%.

(This is coming from a picky person that needs it to be very clean in a room and it was!)

While my room was not updated and had mold in the shower/tub, the staff at the hotel more than made up for it. I was one of many stranded travelers who missed flights. From the minute I walked in, everyone went out of their way to make people feel better. The concierge offered cookies, the front desk assisted me in trying to find vegan food and also increased my meager airline voucher, the bar staff was kind, the chef came out and offered to make me something that was vegan and the staff made sure I was safe when I ran. New Jerseyans really do try harder and despite the disaster of missing an evening flight, the staff here did everything in their power to make things better. I'm sure my room was one of a few that needed updating and that probably be fixed in the future, but overall, I think the hotel staff was outstanding. Thank you for making this experience less miserable. I appreciated it very much.

I was an adult chaparone with a large group of band kids that stayed earlier this week. Rooms were nice and clean, beds/pillows were comfortable, and the breakfast both mornings were excellent. At checkout, a girl in my group had lost a shirt in the towels that housekeeping had removed the previous day. The nice gentleman at the front desk took its description and my info in case it was found. In the meantime, when returning home, my son (also on the trip) lost a bag of dirty laundry when he was packing to leave. I called to check if it had been found, but the woman who answered the front desk line was short with me, and transferred me to a random voice mail. I don't even know if it was housekeeping or not. After attempts to get back to the front desk, and being continuously blind transferred, I left a message. I guess you have to be there to get helped.

Our daughter’s bag was lost at the airport today and she has an early report time tomorrow morning 5:00am. We called at 12:00 am and Erica at the front desk jumped into action. In a matter of minutes, Erica made sure that our daughter was able to get a Phone charger and toiletries. She also called to inquire about the delivery of the bag and was able to clarify the approximate delivery time. When I asked Erica about letting her manager know, she didn’t want any extra accolades and simply said, “ I understand being away from home and I want to make sure that everything is ok.” The level of customer service that we received from this professional allowed my wife and I to rest easier because someone was looking out for our daughter. Although we may never meet you, Ms. Erica, God bless you and your family and thank you for your service.

Sincerely,

Central Hicks

Beautiful hotel. I stayed there during a weekend conference and the facilities were nice and the food served at the conference was really good. Very convenient to Liberty Airport. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and modern. The only problem was that the elevators seemed to have problems that caused delays in opening and closing the doors. Sometimes the elevator would shudder weirdly before stopping at a floor and sometimes the doors would open and close partially a few times before opening or closing completely. I suspect that the switch that controls the doors and possibly on some floors, the switch that tells the elevator that it has arrived at a floor may be broken. It's probably not a safety issue, but it may be the kind of thing that gets you stuck in an elevator with doors that won't open. For us it was annoying because it almost made us late to catch a shuttle to a meeting we had to attend.

Good spot.

Stayed one night, but, left my car there for 8 days. Can't beat the price.

Huge room, king bed. Very nice looking place, great breakfast.

Free airport shuttle.

The staff is wonderful and very accommodating the the needs of the guests. Only reason I didn't give a five star rating is because I found an empty water bottle on the floor of my room when I checked in. After a couple of days I requested to have my room cleaned and the same water bottle on the floor was still there. Other than that I had a great time speaking with several staff members. I will be back again.

This was a nice place to rest your head for business, and sometimes you can get a pretty darn good rate at a real Hilton. I love the view, because it shows the broad broad shoulders of central New Jersey. The airport is just crazy awesome piece of human accomplishment and then behind it are the truly awesome Newark docks.

Due to a flight delay and missing my long haul flight, United put me at this hotel.

The hotel is actually beautiful and well designed, it's just a bit dated and tired ( waiting for a makeover 🥰?), but still nice

Location is very near the airport.

The staff were friendly, though the restaurant seems to be very short staffed.

The front staff are professional, efficient, and kind. Arriving late at the hotel, everything being closed, the manager took me to the bar and offered me, free of charge, something lite from the bar fridge and I accepted a yogurt.

My room was pretty nice and very quiet. Yes, the room and bathroom are dated, but are spacious and comfortable. Everything I needed was there. I was able to get a toothbrush from the front desk. The beds are very comfortable and that crisply ironing linen is wonderful.

The next day I had lunch and the food was delicious and didn't take long to arrive

Best part about this hotel is 24 hr shuttle service to the airport every like 20 minutes. Would be 5 stars if they got their elevator act together. Everything else was great including the breakfast.

What a pleasant surprise. A modern, spacious facility close to NYC, but world's apart from the hustle-bustle. Here, I found an oasis of comfort and convenience, polite, friendly, professional service. Clean rooms with COVID protocols clearly identified. Warm and friendly staff in the dining areas and well-coordinated by Rocco. NYC pizza on the menu, yum. Prices were high, but portions were generous. I would return here in a NJ-minute!

This place have a very courteous, friendly and helpful staff. We would recommend it to anyone and hope to be able to come back soon. This is what we especially liked about our stay. Accommodation: very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need and more, extremely clean with a nice balcony, good Wi-Fi and air conditioning. They also have an awesome pool and terrace area. They would offer free water, motorbike rental at a reasonable price - daily cleaning and fresh (beach) towels -‎ tour and restaurant tips. They also served delicious breakfast at reasonable price. Strongly recommended!

My family and I came here for a dinner party, and we had a pretty good time! The food was okay and the dessert was better- everyone loved that apple pie! Before leaving, this one guy told me to stab anyone who tried to take his apple pie! (He came back like 30 minutes later and still ate the pie even though it got cold.) My mom thought the decor was too old-fashioned, but I believe the gold and red colors worked nicely together. And the service was great; we immediately got help whenever we needed it. Anyway, this hotel seems like a nice place to host events, especially if you're just interested in the dessert!

Most amazing staff ever! After a long and troubled flight Imani the shuttle driver kindly and personally assisted my exhausted and disabled grandmother. Edith graciously checked us in, making everything 100% comfortable and easy for our stay. The food and wait staff was beyond our expectations. Beds were a delight and the sun rising over NYC was brilliant to wake up too!

I don't understand why my food delivery person can't deliver the food to my room. I paid for this room and I should have the right to invite people up to my paid for room. When I order food to be delivered, I give the delivery person permission to deliver the food to my room. What is the point of the "pickup your food in lobby policy" for and how is it different from that delivery person delivering to an apartment or house. It's actually more safe in hotel because of all of the cams in the hallways. So if I paid for my room and I'm the guest, the hotel have no right to tell me who I can allow to my room. I paid for service. I don't pay to inconvenience me.

This was a wonderful hotel. All you want is a bed, toilet, friendly staff, and a place to eat and everything was 5/5 stars here. The flights to LAX from Newark only leave ridiculously early now (6:10am JetBlue) so I had to be at the airport by 4:15am. I was able to get to sleep by 8pm and the room was quiet with little to no noise. AC worked great and the bed was so very comfortable that I slept through til 2:30am. I caught the on-time shuttle at 3:30am which safely got us to the airport. The bar and restaurant had tasty food and every person who I had the pleasure of using their services was friendly and kind. Strongly recommend this hotel. My only regret was that I didn't get to stay for another night. I plan to stay again, especially if the flight on my airline doesn't add back their afternoon flights.

We were sent to this hotel in Newark, NJ, by our airlines after they unexpectedly canceled our flight home! We had to wait in long lines to receive our voucher for hotel accommodations.

Our room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable with a good medium firm mattress. We slept comfortably, thank goodness. We were able to watch the sunset from our room.

The bathroom was spacious with a shower in the tub. Everything was very clean. It had a large counter to hold our personal items.

We had dinner at their restaurant downstairs and had a good meal. I'm doing a separate review for that.

There were large rooms for business meetings as we walked thru the hotel. We also saw a large indoor swimming pool.

We were happy that Doubletree provided a free shuttle to the airport. The staff was helpful and friendly.

In the middle of nowhere. They provide hotel shuttle and if you’re not familiar with the airport you do have to take a train to P4. I wasn’t aware until we stood outside departures waiting. The staff were nice and welcoming. It was just a 1 night stay and overall it was decent. Bathroom is a bit dated and there weren’t enough wash clothes. Called and received more. The cookies were good

Flew in last weekend and staff were super accommodating at 7AM with my two kids and let us check in right then when the prior booked hotel didn't work out. They were super accommodating with check out too as we had a certain request. Room was nice, atmosphere, overall was nice too. We will be back again on one of our weekend trips into New Jersey/New York.

Rooms: The mini island in your room makes an ambient noise that helps with sleeping. The outlets are loose, but the water is FRESH.

Service: Service is amazing. The staff team make you feel at home and even give you a cookie when you first check in. Housekeeping does a good job and the maids are kind as well.

Location: Good, stores and places to eat aren't too far away.

Overall: Other than the loose outlets and overpriced snacks, I had a great time. The pool and rooms are neat, organized, and easily accessible while keeping safety and privacy in mind. They have all the essentials you need in the bathroom with great crowding control. There's an internet cafe and lounge area where you can go to relax or work. Service is amazing and was definitely one of my favorite parts during my stay. Gotta love the location, especially if you work at the airport across from the hotel. Great experience, would recommend.

Hotel Lobby is very Nice and staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had a great experience and my only reason for giving a 4 star ⭐️ is that the hotel rooms are a bit dated and there was only 1 elevator working at the time of my stay. And I also noticed a defect in the window wall in my room and since it wasn’t a nice sight to look at I closed the blinds even though it was beautiful outside.

A very nice airport hotel, very close to the airports and has a shuttle coming to and from the airport. Everyone was so nice and the restaurant was amazing. The pool and gym were great too, the only not so great thing was how the 10th floors keys were not working for the first 20 minutes but they were so kind and amazing and fixed everything so quick. The rooms and bathrooms were great as well. This hotel has good views and the elevator was glass so you could see right out. And the elevator was brand new and so smooth. If I am ever back in Newark again I will be coming back.

When I arrived from the airport, the shuttle was swift into picking me up and taking me to the hotel. Hotel staff were very kind and friendly when checking me in, and even when I needed small help for certain things they were fantastic about getting it done swiftly.

They seem to be a understaffed (I saw similar faces from day to night), but really hard working here. I really feel for them and hope most people are patient especially during these busy weekends. Even still they have been on the ball the entire time. I hope they are compensated well!

Breakfast was fine, I paid for the buffet and i really enjoyed the French toast and pork sausage best with everything else good.

Dinner was also good, nice and hot with tender chicken and yummy asparagus to go with it.

The room was a bit outdated, but clean and comfortable. I loved how comfy the bed was and the pillows weren't fully sunken. I think my only complaint is that the room needs some TLC repairs to it. Chipped painting, ripped carpet, a strange burnt orange aura around one of my windows, old and loose plugs and handles etc. Housekeeping did a lovely job with what they could, but some upgrading would be great in the future.

I will say the lobby looks wonderful too. So open and exposed with a great lounge area and simple contemporary decor.

Of course, the cookies are super addictive. You have been warned

Stayed at the Hilton Honors for a day. I really liked the property. It is well maintained and contemporary in terms of the facility and services. However, i didn't quite like the staff. Some of them were quite rude honestly. Unwilling to walk the extra mile. Kindness to guests doesn't cost much. One of the guys at the front desk was quite helpful during check in.

The room was good, very comfortable. Because this was a quick trip, with early flights, we needed to stay close to the airport. So the location was great for that. It was also very easy to Uber into the city.

What absolutely impressed me was the service of every single employee spoke with. These amazing people couldn't have been more helpful for every question I had. I can't say enough about the management and staff. Kudos to all.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree in New Jersey near New York, and it exceeded all my expectations. The warm chocolate chip cookie upon check-in set a friendly tone. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and the room was not only immaculate but also offered breathtaking views of the city. The hotel's proximity to New York made it convenient for my explorations. The amenities were top-notch, and the on-site dining was a delightful experience. I highly recommend the DoubleTree for a luxurious and convenient stay. Five stars without a doubt!

We held our IPUNi Convention here and it was a blast. The staff are friendly. The only complain I had was that they didn’t offer free breakfast and you know everything is expensive when you stay at a hotel. Besides this, it was a wonderful experience.

The elevator system i super cool, very savvy. The view from your room is breathtaking
