The staff was friendly, the entire hotel was extremely clean and accommodating. The room was very clean, and comfortable. I would recommend to friends! Extremely pleased. A+

I had the poorest experience during my 6-night (20-26 Feb 2020) stay at DoubleTree - Newark Airport. Sent them my suit to dry clean but was returned shrunk and bubbled like blisters as if it was thrown in the washing machine or something. Unfortunately I only found this out after I had checked out, when i put on the suit, but by this time i was already in Toronto. I tried calling front desk but no one was interested to help (bounced around various departments) or get the manager to return my calls. So when I returned to Singapore I continued trying.
Finally the night manager responded on 2-March but said it had to be handled by the day manager and so day manager was informed (by email). I didn't hear back though, until 8-March after i followed up and was told again that it would be looked into but never heard back until 19-March after I chased up (again).
On 19-March the day manager finally gets back to me but said she couldn't do anything and I had to ring the dry cleaners myself. I expressed my disappointment to said day manager but that was the last correspondence between us, haven't heard from them since.
Tried contacting the dry cleaners in hope for someone to be reponsible, they too have ignored my emails and calls. So I guess I'm left with my damaged wedding suit.
Beautiful hotel with spacious, comfortable rooms. The gym is top of the line with everything you need and the breakfast is a much. I enjoyed the executive lounge because I was the only one in it and I got alot of work done.
I used the Double Tree for long term parking and did not spend the night here. First thing I thought was why does this place offer parking when it can barely accommodate the cars already in the lot. The lot was full of cars! I mean full. Cars parked everywhere, on the curb, next to trees and definitely not in designated parking spots. I wish I would have taken a picture! It must be some kind of safety hazard?? I did eventually get a spot because luckily someone pulled out. If not I would have missed my flight or gotten swiped because I had to park on the grass or next to the curb. Secondly. Front staff. Awful. Both the ladies that helped me when I arrived and the young man who helped me tonight when I returned we’re rude. No hellos or how are you. Very strange customer service. There was a woman named Edith (I think) who gave me instructions on the phone on how to get to the shuttle pickup area at the airport. She was very polite. Shuttle driver on the way to the airport was awesome. The guy who picked us up tonight, not so awesome. Drove kind of wild for my taste. So overall, not the best experience for me. Maybe other people will be luckier. But for me I will not be using this lot again. I’ve always had such pleasant experiences with Double Tree hotels (staying and long term parking). Wonder what happened to this one....?
Friendly people, rooms were clean! Beers a lot higher 7.50- 8.00 a bottle. I guess we should be bringing our own next time ! Shuttle Service is on the money! Hope this helped !
Hated when I stayed there. The customer service is horrible, there was no mini refrigerator in my room, and you have to pay extra to park in there parking lot. On the bright side they have an inside pool the lobby looks nice and the room looked decent. That was my first and last stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport.
Waited awhile to check in although only 2 people were in front of me. We I got to my room there was a bedbug on the shower which put me off. The only reason I'm giving to stars is because my room had a nice view over the indoor pool area
I'm a Hilton honors member and I don't want to sound silly but they forgot to give me water iwhen I checked in I asked three other time before they finally gave me my bottle of water and I don't have any bottles of water or water in the room... So far I've been here 5 hours. Let's hope the next 43 hours get better. My experience changes I'll change my review.

This was a nice place to rest your head for business, and sometimes you can get a pretty darn good rate at a real Hilton. I love the view, because it shows the broad broad shoulders of central New Jersey. The airport is just crazy awesome piece of human accomplishment and then behind it are the truly awesome Newark docks.
Stayed one night, but, left my car there for 8 days. Can't beat the price.

Beautiful hotel. I stayed there during a weekend conference and the facilities were nice and the food served at the conference was really good. Very convenient to Liberty Airport. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and modern. The only problem was that the elevators seemed to have problems that caused delays in opening and closing the doors. Sometimes the elevator would shudder weirdly before stopping at a floor and sometimes the doors would open and close partially a few times before opening or closing completely. I suspect that the switch that controls the doors and possibly on some floors, the switch that tells the elevator that it has arrived at a floor may be broken. It's probably not a safety issue, but it may be the kind of thing that gets you stuck in an elevator with doors that won't open. For us it was annoying because it almost made us late to catch a shuttle to a meeting we had to attend.

The room service staff has apparently moved to a location where they can't be reached by the phone. I'm serious, that's what the front desk said when I called them to ask why no one is answering the room service line.
The breakfast included is inedible. Not joking. It is rancid and disgusting, and offered in a conference room that looks like something out of the shining, only designed in a palette ranging from poop-brown to Newark concrete Grey.
The check-in took over 30 minutes (there were three people in front of me, and three working at the check-in desk). But no worries, they offered me a cookie.
Good travel or layover hotel. Luck at the front desk started us out right with a warm, kind reception. The renovations look great.
I was an adult chaparone with a large group of band kids that stayed earlier this week. Rooms were nice and clean, beds/pillows were comfortable, and the breakfast both mornings were excellent. At checkout, a girl in my group had lost a shirt in the towels that housekeeping had removed the previous day. The nice gentleman at the front desk took its description and my info in case it was found. In the meantime, when returning home, my son (also on the trip) lost a bag of dirty laundry when he was packing to leave. I called to check if it had been found, but the woman who answered the front desk line was short with me, and transferred me to a random voice mail. I don't even know if it was housekeeping or not. After attempts to get back to the front desk, and being continuously blind transferred, I left a message. I guess you have to be there to get helped.
The hotel itself is very nice. But late check in at 4pm. Try to get them to validate parking. Very clean but took forever for them to have my room ready. We changed our days staying cause it was so much confusion about our room being ready. The room was nice and clean. And the cookie was tasty.
Updated and modern. Great service. Big comfy and clean. With all the amenities you'd expect from a modern day hotel. I highly recommend it.
My flight arrived at 1 am. Got to the hotel and was greeted with warmth and cookies. I was exhausted, and with out having to ask, I was given an extended checkout without charge. The room was clean and quiet. I love the Crabtree and Evelyn bath products. I ate lunch at the restaurant in the main lobby and it was very good. It took a bit longer than expected, but I was happy with my Cesar salad and salmon. The house chips and onion dip were good as well. The hotel has a great gym and pool as well.
Located near the airport, this company has a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. It is nicely decorated and has a pool. I wish I had more time to explore rather than a 7 hour layover. The cookies are delicious but contain nuts. The staff and were a bit rude with each other at times in front of guests and our room had a bit of a smell upon entering. Although it appeared nice and clean, it almost had a staleness and cigarette smell to it in a non smoking room. If you can get a good price, overall it seems like a good place to stay.
Staff polite, welcoming & helpful. They deserve 5 stars however, the room we were assigned to was OCCUPIED! Fortunately, no one was in room, we didn't enter, beds unmade & suitlcases insight.
The food & service at the conference was EXCELLENT! The chicken, carrots, mashed potatoes & asparagus were cooked to perfection!
Visited from Toronto with the family to explore New York City. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were great. The beds are super comfy! My only complain would be that if you get a room where the balcony is inside overlooking the hotel lobby, you’ll hear people talking. Especially over breakfast. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay! Thanks for having us!
we had a very happy stay at the hotel. Erika at the reception went far and beyond to help us check in and stay welcomed; the rooms are also very clean and spacious. Overall they made a long trip seem stressfree with the relaxing and yet family friendly atmosphere. I love this place and would definitely visit again.
Free airport shuttle. Greetings with a warm cookie as soon as you walk in. Comfortable bed and good water pressure. It's limit outdated, renovations would be welcome. Very busy at the time I went. My room was facing inside, view on the bar and it was noisy. I would recommend room facing outside for quieter stay.
