Traveling northeast from LA over Lake Mead Nevada and Aspen Colorado on to Cleveland where Superman himself greets you is a great way to see the western USA founded by Moses Cleve Eiland in the 1700s, they misspelled his name thus the mistake on the lake was born. We grabbed a ride and checked into our gorgeous west side Airbnb apartment, the converted industrial building with its signature red brick walls a fabulous kitchen lots and lots of open space to stretch out after the flight and even an herb garden to take one's tea on to playhouse square which has 10 performance spaces five of which date back to the 1920s Cleveland gourmet institution. Heinen's started in 1929 when Joe Heinen opened a small meat market on kinsman road by 2013 with the company now headed by Jose twin grandsons Tom and Jeff, they opened a flagship store at Euclid and ninth which boasts the world's second-largest Tiffany glass ceiling you can sample the fresh baked goods and even sip wine from the high tech vino tech while you're shopping back-to-back bars bowling cupcakes why yes please on fourth which is Cleveland's Beale Street you find the butcher in the brewer we're for ambiance sake they've even turned their TVs to black and white but follow me downstairs and you will find the on-site brewery where they bottle growlers to go for thirsty locals and tourists alike ever felt like beans above the frank well then this is the place for you unless you're Irish where flannerys does a great chef its prior nice chilled Guinness and has a ton of friendly locals on downtown and a quick visit with one of seven equine offices to the warehouse district for local historians have done a really great graphics job with historical building declarations.

The Good Side of CLE

With the Browns the Cavaliers and the Indians Cleveland is most definitely a sports town crackerjack anyone since the name McCartney is synonymous with rock and roll we naturally had to stop by the rock and roll hall of fame and museum follow me as we go into the rock and roll hall of fame in Cleveland Ohio and the band rehearsing in this public space. Kindly obliged with a Beatles song right on cue Lauren Anki arranged for our own private VIP tour with this overwhelming five-story structure including the Beatles area featuring Ringoes legendary lead with a kit and all I'm thinking Richie's missing his sketches. The 150,000 square foot space features everything from Les Paul with his revolutionary guitar sound in archival footage to the iconic Elvis sign and even his golden wardrobe which is surprisingly petite close-up Beyonce's recent tour and video costume bling is also on show and there's even a Pink Floyd wall featuring Gerald Scarfe.

The Bad Side of CLE

Monstrous creations hungry fans can feast in the cafe and shop tally drop the rock hall truly has it all when's your salami has like some nice fall spice to a very fatty chicken liver mousse for the adventures. I like putting on the bread myself a little sandwich onion jam on top of that house of bread and crackers because as well urban farmers chef Matt did us proud as did the Huron square deli crew serving up great pancakes and coffee. The next morning with fruits and vegetables and Lake Erie fish being sold on this glance at the 1840s the west side Lobby so come with me and let's take a look inside hey Bourdain you breakfast ready pink cheats on me. Everything is local is all Ohio beeping four and my husband gets up at four-thirty to come down here and cut this fresh battle every day so in between the secret stand in the coffee stand between the tambourine girls look left it's like this deck is up to a super Belkin. In the last 10 minutes we have Turkish Delight falafel me back over the bridge after a quick local pint we hopped on and nearly fell off the lolly trolley as we went to pay our respects to Cleveland's veterans in this peaceful Park ending our day at the fountain of eternal life Marshall Frederick's majestic centerpiece of Veterans Memorial Plaza Thank You Cleveland we had a great time.
