Front desk lady was the best. She wad professional and respectful. The cook for breakfast was also great, what got me was that the ac was not working. We had to switch rooms at 3am in the middle of our sleep. The room was old looking and carpet messed with my allergies. The bathroom mirror has a bluetooth speaker (only interesting thing) never coming back
Check in was poor, we had to wait about twenty minutes until the hotel representative could get around to checking us in, when she did, she was polite and professional. The room was nice and comfortable, fairly clean, but the floor could have been vacuumed better, and the in-room amenities are very skimpy. No pen or note pad if you needed to take notes, the in-room coffee station and restroom were as sparce as could be, the hair conditioner bottle in the shower was empty, there's 5 floors in this hotel and an employee told me that the only ice machine that worked was on the first floor. There’s no complimentary breakfast, it’s strictly pay as you go. When we checked in, the lobby coffee station was a mess, the next morning it was dirtier and under supplied, after a quick glance we decided to get our morning coffee elsewhere. The only shuttle available is to the airport, none for the casino, restaurants, or attractions. This may have been a four-star hotel at one time but those days are gone, it’s apparently in decline. Nothing about our stay would bring us back if we were in the area again
Overall cute and comfy hotel! I’m only day two of my stay however, check in was a bit bumpy. The front desk were professional and did their best to check us in promptly. So here’s what I didn’t like...
My floor was dirty! I’m barefoot and For some reason house keeping came to my room “with shoes” and decided to have a super aggressive “conversation” with me that made me uncomfortable because I honestly wasn’t prepared mentally to have a conversation about cleanliness, especially during the pandemic.
I decided not to go back and forth with her but to see the manager. Jordan addressed my concerns and told me she’d address her staff.
I honestly felt the situation deserved more empathy from her. Especially considering if I were anyone else, I’d probably would’ve opt’d to check out. Felt like no one really cared.
Praying this is not the norm, and no one comes on vacation to have disagreements with those who are supposed to service their needs.
I expected more from this hotel it was disappointing that they were no face towels in the room upon my arrival at 9:00 p.m. I was made to have to come and get them from the front desk after an exhausting flight the hot pool closed at 8:00 p.m. there was no continental breakfast and there was a shortage on body wash soap and toilet paper I would never refer this hotel to anyone else. The location was right off the highway which gave me easy access to Miami and some other areas in fort Lauderdale in the airport that's the only reason I gave it a two star
Pretty good hotel. Staff were really friendly and helpful and the room was good but the restaurant was really not good at at, especially if you don’t eat meat. I had to eat outside of this place after trying a breakfast and dinner which didn’t work out well. Luckily there are good places close by in walking distance even. Overall it was pretty good, except the food.
It was a wonderful experience! The hotel is beautiful and The amenities were great! There was one employee I ran into by accident to ask for direction and she was simply awesome! If you have the pleasure to stay here make sure you run into Kara!!
My husband and I stayed for 5 days while my apartment was getting work done. The hotel is nicely updated with colorful artwork throughout. Morning and 2nd shift staff are incredible! They really made us feel like we were right at home. They remembered my name and room number and when I had to come back because the work wasn't properly completed at my apartment, they gave me my same room back and had it sparkling for us when we returned.
One thing that was unfavorable was the toilet in our room wouldn't flush properly. At one point I had to use a plunger I got from the front desk that they had in their office. However, when I had issues again at 6am the last morning I was given a very different guest service experience than previously received. The girl was very short on the phone with me telling me I had to come down and get the plunger myself. So when I did I came down to her in her pajamas behind the front desk flirting with golfers who were staying in the hotel.
After all this this says she doesn't even have a plunger (without looking) which I knew to be incorrect. When I asked for a new room because my husband would be back from work to sleep at 8am she said no, they were sold out. So I asked her to go and look for the plunger because I knew that's where they got it from before. She scoffed and then took her time walking to the office while humming a condescending tune. After 30 seconds of not looking she returns and says she can't help me until security gets here because she can't find it.
As an extra icing on the cake she tried shaming me in front of the golfers she was chatting with by telling me not to raise my voice. (I wasn't at all, I was half asleep and barely talking above a whisper). Then she went on about her flirting like I wasn't even there. I received the plunger 40 minutes later from a very kind staff member.
Overall a nice stay! The room was clean and there were plenty of amenities that were readily available. Only 15 minutes from Downtown Fort Lauderdale which was convenient. The staff was friendly, check in & check out was quick, and parking is free. They have a $100 security deposit which I didn't know of until arrival, so be prepared when you check in. The only reason I took a star away is because the pull out bed (from the couch) that we had in our King Bedroom smelled disgusting when we pulled it out. We ended up just closing it back and not using it. Other than that, everything was great!
This year I added another brand to my options of hotel properties I will visit. I added hotels by Marriott, e. g. Residence Inns. . . . My weekend excursion to the Cambria Hotel Beach deserves five stars. I truly appreciated being booked into hotel suite Room 511. The room was spacious, quiet and comfortable. I also enjoyed the privilege of having an on-site restaurant and wet bar with a nice selection of wines.
The hotel is an average 3 star. I did receive my reservation as a comp because my spirit air flight was delayed overnight. Spirit called this a “premium” hotel. Nope, average.
It does have a pool and hot tub that are functioning, and the room seemed clean. The pool and hot tub however haven’t been updated in years. The hotel feels like your average motel in the Midwest.
The reason I’m writing this review though is because the Restaraunt seemed annoyed at me for ordering my spirit comp food and didn’t know how to ring it in. Then, when I got to my room, a cockroach came out of my salad. I later noticed another cockroach in my room. I reported it to the front desk, who acted shocked and did try to send a maintenance person, but by that point it’s too late.
I’m sure it’s not the first time staff have seen roaches in the hotel. Unfortunately this is common in average hotels from time to time.
The hotel is average, certainly not premium. I did enjoy the hot tub. But the hotel is aging. And the staff is average to low quality. The hallways have drywall pieces in them, and things don’t look vacuumed.
Classic Spirit airlines move to put people up here. Just good enough that most people won’t complain.
I only hope that by posting this before I leave that I won’t get hassled more.
I won’t be back. But, just clean it up. Too many hotels like this across the USA. Also, Spirit airlines needs to up it’s game as well in several ways. I guess you do get what you pay for LOL.
Nice Hotel in the cut right off Stirling and 95. The Suite had the bed sectioned off from the couch which I liked so someone watching TV wouldn't disrupt someone sleep. The place was very clean and came with a lot of amenities.
My family and I spent the weekend here and from the shuttle ride to the check in process. We were met with exceptional customer service. The wonderful lady at the front desk Ms. LeShandra, took pride in her work. She made us feel at home, she was very welcoming and friendly. Her customer service was amazing. This hotel had comfortable upgraded rooms and it is not the only hotel I would stay in whenever I’m in Fort Lauderdale. If I could I would give this place 10 stars!
This is an impressive hotel that won't break the budget. The common amenity areas are modern and very nice with a very high end feel. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Keep in mind a mandatory $100 refundable deposit is enforced and must be on a card, not cash. This is part of Choice Hotels who also owns the Comfort Suites facilties, but Cambria properties are Choice Hotel's new high-end competition to other more pretentious, swanky brands. And an FYI, it was about 25% cheaper booking directly through the hotel website than hotels.com or Expedia prices; keep an eye out for seasonal promotional rates much lower than one would expect.
Absolutely love it!!! The staff is friendly and helpful. They have more than what u ask for. The place is clean, big rooms and well kept. Rate is great !!, Would definitely stay again in the future
My husband and I stayed at this hotel last night, on our anniversary, and our stay was wonderful. The room was super clean, up to date, very well appointed. The staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. HIGHLY recommend, will seek to stay here again, next ti.e we are in the area.
Clean an the staff is polite an nice
The hotel staff was great
Spent a month here. Girls at front desk are great! Very friendly and helpful! Rooms clean, housekeeping cleans room every 3rd night unless you ask for it more. Debbie is great at the bar! Food is good, little pricey! Washer and dryer for guests works good.
