Unfortunately, our experience with this location was negative and I hope they can fix how they handle their reservations. I made a reservation for a room with two queen beds and paid for it but when we arrived there from the airport, they said they had a room with one king bed even though I had paid for it about 10 days ago. It was a terrible night!
This is the worst hotel to stay in! Please don't! The room stunk. Pillows are stained! They don't clean the rooms at all. Paying $100 a night but feels like a $20 motel. So disappointing.
Great customer service. Good location if your over nighting to go on a cruise or fly. I had a clean and comfortable room The location is great if you have a car and are "exploring the area" the price was great
Me and my husband are longstanding Marriott members. So when we wanted a weekend getaway, and some warm weather we booked this hotel. Which we've stayed at before, about 6 years ago. This was not the kind of Marriott experience we've come to know and stayed only 2 of the 4 nights booked.
The poor customer service began as soon as we landed and called the hotel to request shuttle services. This task took 4 calls and 45 minutes, with a strange run around back and forth for something which seems pretty standard. We tried to reset our expectations from there but when we got to our room it smelled really stale and moldy. The carpet was not clean, and because of COVID no housekeeping service (which I understand). In order to get fresh towels you had to carry your dirty towels to the front desk and practically arm wrestle the man at the desk for clean (and clean was questionable)trade-ins.
Our second night a child threw-up in the outdoor pool/sauna and it went unattended to by any staff. The next morning we checked out.
This hotel is well situated with restaurants and shopping within walking distance and the beach a short car ride away. The grounds are lovely as well and it feels tucked away. So it is extremely unfortunate that the service was so lacking.
The only person we encountered that was at all helpful was Eunice. Eunice happened to be at the front desk the morning we checked out. Eunice heard my complaints, remained calm and completed our checkout in a very professional manner.
I'm not sure what is going on at this property but it could use a customer service intervention!
The toliet was hard to flush. Check in. Was pleasant wonderful guest rep. Terrible. Grab and Go. televisions kept going in and out. Customer service was awful last night. I locked myself out and was told to wear a mask. Will never stay here again. Air stopped working in the middle of the night.
Bed was comfy some good free breakfast selections. I'm sure the room cleanliness will be improving. We all should pitch in and buy them a vacuum cleaner. 🙂 Safe travels......
Arrived and my bathroom has never been cleaned.
Carpets are dirty and stained. Hair on the bathroom floor.
Also the hotel is located on a very busy area with a lot of street noise.
Maybe consider another option before choosing this hotel.
Stayed here with wife and kids. Overall the accommodation was good. The room was large and the bed mostly comfortable. The issue with this hotel is with complimentary services. The breakfast which was included with our room was not available before we had to leave for the airport. Not even a box meal was available. Another family with kids were told the staff was running behind on getting the breakfast out. Additionally, the free shuttle was packed with guests. The hotel stated we could wait for 30 minutes when the shuttle returned but it might be full again. With Covid-19 this is truly not acceptable. We did inform the front desk at check in the day before to reserve room on the shuttle so It was not due to a lack of planning on our part nor a lack of knowledge on the hotel's staff. If the hotel stated that the shuttle was going to be full we would have arranged a Uber for transportation. With all the other hotels in the area we will stay elsewhere in the future.
This hotel is absolutely filthy. Blankets full of hair and dirt. Manager refused to do anything about it. Below is the air conditioning that sounds like a truck. My company has a corporate account with them, nice way to treat someone that gives them so much business. Stay away from this place. They actually said it was my fault somehow for the room being disgusting. Don’t waste your money.
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I am a lifetime Platinum member of Marriott and this place is the worst I have ever stayed. It’s really like a motel 6 under a Marriott logo and a nice lobby. The staff was very unhelpful but the room was even worse. Everything looks dirty and outdated; it all seems to be covered in a thin layer of grey grime or in the case of the shower and sinks, a yellow staining. I asked for extra towels and they never delivered... In the pullout bed we found wads of hair — disgusting. I was extremely disappointed, but I understand sometimes things happen. However I just have to say that my entire family and I regret this stay and will never, ever come back. We will think twice before staying at any Springhill Suites.
It was nice to get off the plane and have someone come and get you. Within minutes good job and thank you for the stay
I chose this hotel because of its location. Read reviews before booking so I was expecting an outdated room. The main issue was slow and unstable internet which caused problems for me to work remotely. Front desk staff (a tall gentleman) was very helpful and provided me with a phone number to call to resolve the issue but still very inconvenient. Anyways, it's good for one night. At least I enjoyed location.
I am a Platinum Elite member with Marriott. This hotel is very old and outdated. The staff that I met was tremendous, but the room was terrible. I found long black hairs all over my room (on the sofa bed, on the shower and inside the bed sheets in multiple areas.) I was very disappointed but obviously understand sometimes things happen. I showed the front desk agent and she said they would give me some points for the issue, which I said would be perfectly fine. Well that didn’t even happen. Sadly, if you need a place to stay near the airport, this isn’t it.
I used the parking lot of this hotel and this review is related only to that experience - I did not stay in that hotel.
I parked my car at SpringHill Suites Fort Lauderdale International Airport from 11/11/20 to 12/05/20. When I picked up my car on 12/05 it was hit in the front (right side) as you can see in the attached picture.
Upon checking the issue, I went to the front desk and the receptionist asked me to reach out to general Manager, because she immediately said that the hotel was not liable for that. The shuttle driver also checked out the issue.
Although I emailed the General Manager and called him during a whole week, I haven't heard from him, not even for a simple "apology".
That level of service and lack of feedback made me post this review. I don't recommend this parking service to anybody.
Overall we enjoyed our stay . Close to shopping. Good breakfast. Clean hotel amenities and rooms. Nice pool and friendly staff .

Katherine is a real bitch. Very unprofessional doesn’t know how to multitask and deal with phones and customers infront of her. Definitely not a friendly face you want to see when walking into a place that’s supposed to me hospitable. She was disgusting with a terrible attitude.

DON'T TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY...GET IT IN WRITING! Requested checkout one day early due to infestation of ants in our room. They said don't worry and here's an extra 2,000 points for your inconvenience. I asked should I come checkout in the AM and she said no need to. Well, I was charged for the extra night and of course no points. In addition, they tried charging me $300 extra!! There is something definitely "crooked" going on at this hotel. DO NOT TRUST ANY VERBAL PROMISES AND CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS!!
Rooms are clean and nice. Lobby is great. Staff is amazing. Thank you for everything you guys do.

So, I expect a lot from Marriott, because they say they offer the best. This is NOT Marriott quality at all. Staff was not very friendly. Didn't welcome us when we walked in. The carpet was really gross, needed to be cleaned. The couch had a ton of stains! Needed to be vacuumed. I checked in online and asked for extra towels, none were left. Asked for foam pillows, didn't get them. Don't stay here if you want the Marriott experience.
Hotel was good. Stay was fine. However i worked with the GM over a dispute of being charged more than what was discussed. The GM refused to do anything for me while admitting that his employees made a mistake. I had to check out a day early to receive the money they over charged me. The GM was extremely unprofessional. Being in customer service myself, If any one of my employees dealt with a customer the way he dealt with me, they would no longer work in my company. It’s a shame another GM had to step in to do what he could have done so easily. He ruined this entire experience for me and my guest. I can’t believe the way he talked and treated me. I pray this is not how he treats all his customers but unfortunately i believe it is. If having to deal with a GM i HIGHLY recommend the young female opposed to the male. She was great and fixed our problem. But his behavior out weighed any help i could have been given after the fact. I even presented him with the opportunity to amend his terrible customer service and yet again he failed. I will be filing a complaint about this gentleman to his corporate.
