Staff at the front desk were excellent very nice and helpful and the location is great super close to restaurants and shopping centers that is why I gave two stars.



However it is very overpriced for how outdated it is, it’s very old my room (414) smelled like mildew and mold very badly it was terrible, I didn’t even run the A/C because it just made it worse. The bathroom water had a slight yellowish tint to it.

Loved the room. Was big enough to accommodate 4 plus size people with two Queens and a sofa bed so me and my brother had enough room. Breakfast was good, with it being a regular breakfast rather than grab and go. Would stay again

I stayed at this property from July 3, 2021 to July 6, 2021. The first room that I stayed in was infested with sugar ants. The sugar ants were along the bathroom sink in the coffee making area in also on the nightstand next to the beds. I made management aware of this information and they advised me that they would adjust my rate that I paid for my entire stay and they would also move me to a different room. Due to me having my children with me I advised the management that I was OK with that request and it will take me some time to gather my belongings. The new room was not ready at the time. The representative said that was fine and we could store our bags at the front Desk while we went out to enjoy our day and they would call to notify us when our new room was ready. We left the property around 1 PM as it got later in the day I realized it was nearly 6 PM and I still had not received a call from the hotel stating that our new room was ready. My family and I decided to head back to the room and when went to the front desk they had a room key waiting for us. Still unsure as to why we never received the call we were promised. Fast forward upon entering the new room we did a brief inspection of the room. This was on July 5, 2021. Immediately we noticed that the room was not clean properly. They were red substance stains on the nightstand and there was a feces like substance that was on the wooden tray that was on top of the Ottoman in the room. As a tried mother traveling with four children, I took photographs of all of these items and with having such an early flight I decided to take out the extra blankets and lay them across the couch and I will bring the concerns up to management upon checking out. It should be noted they also have a texting service through their Marriott app but they do not respond so that was out of the question. When I went downstairs around 2 AM To check out and head to the airport,there was not a manager available and the front desk rep was very apologetic about my concerns. He (Marquis )advised me that I can call back around 9 AM later that day to speak with a member of management. I did that and it seemed as though I was getting the runaround a little bit finally contact with me with a manager Fernando and he stated he had to reach out to the other manager who advised she was going to address our rate. On Wednesday I finally received a telephone call from a woman who stated that I would receive the adjuster rates. I brought up my issues with the second rule to state that that room would need to be further compensated as the room was outright disgusting. The woman advised me that she would have to speak with the manager Fernando and she will get back with me. Still to this day I have not received a follow up call… Photos available not once did a member of management asked me to send on my photos. If you are traveling with young children please be very mindful that these rooms are not properly cleaned and your children can pick up God knows what in a second.



***UPDATE*** 4 weeks later (8/10/21)- no-one has followed up with me regarding my complaint- although they claimed I would be contacted ***

It was extremely clean, the staff is friendly, patience and went beyond for everyone. Not just me. The breakfast was decent and the room was extremely clean and cozy, very close to the airport and free shuttle rides .. Thank you to the entire staff, job well done ..

I stayed at this hotel to attend a wedding in the Dania area. During my 3 night stay, I never received room service. Went to the front desk after midnight to ask for towels for the room since no one ever came to clean the room. No one came to the desk to assist. Several guests came in to check in. No one ever came to the front desk which caused those people to walk out to attempt to find another hotel. Please find another hotel to stay. This hotel is not a place to spend your money.

This hotel has really gone downhill. I think the whole property has been neglected by Marriott (if they even open it). The beds were clean and looked fresh but the carpet was so dirty and frayed especially around the room entrance. That is not what you want to see when you enter! Even the hallway carpets were dirty (why didn’t they clean or replace during the pandemic?). They do not tell you that there is no room service for beds made, clean towels, restock toilet paper, no plastic bags for trash cans, etc. until you call the front desk. I was told to leave trash and dirty towels in the hallway to be picked up. That’s a nice look walking down the hallway and seeing dirty towels and trash sitting everywhere by the room doors. There are 2 elevators for the whole building and during my four day stay only one worked causing huge delays. WILL NOT STAY THERE AGAIN!

Horrible experience.. The smoke alarm went off all night and the maintenance guy just came bye and looked up in the air. He said he could not reach it and just left. The front desk lady stated she couldn't move us. I had to wait until the morning. The bathroom shower curtains did not stop the water for going on the floor and the bottom on the shower looked like it was mildew. I paid 200.00 per night and it was not worth it. The manager did credit back one night but this was a horrible stay.

This hotel is not far from the airport but also not far from the Hollywood Beach area. This is located near the cruise ports in Fort Lauderdale. The staff was friendly the rooms were clean and there is a new area within walking distance with lots of restaurants and shops.

This can’t be a Marriott, we paid good money to stay here and this place was disgusting. The outside was nice but the rooms were dirty, carpet was disgusting and dirty, room stunk, the toilet did not work, the A.C did not work, the bed was so gross and dirty I had to call and asked for new sheets in order to sleep on the bed. There was hair on the sheet, it smelled like someone bath in some nasty perfume and they never change the sheets. The comforter was so dirty it had, brown and yellow stains all over it. I will never again stay at another Marriott this was enough for me. I spent the night there because it was so late when we arrived with three small children. If it wasn’t for the fact that it was so late and we were all so tired, I would have left. Never again 🤮🤮🤮😡😡😡

After calling the property to have the airport shuttle pick me and my guests up from the hotel. I was greeted with, your cancellation was cancelled and of course they were sold out. No email, push notifications on the Bonvoy app, or even a heads up from the associate when I was giving her my reservation email. So much for a fun birthday weekend bumming it out in some hotels lobby. What was great way to celebrate your Gold Elite Bonvoy members. Trash!

Gym machines were poorly maintained. Elevators were scary to ride in. Have nothing positive to say we checked out early and stayed at one of the much nicer hotels nearby (that are also cheaper)

Unfortunately, our experience with this location was negative and I hope they can fix how they handle their reservations. I made a reservation for a room with two queen beds and paid for it but when we arrived there from the airport, they said they had a room with one king bed even though I had paid for it about 10 days ago. It was a terrible night!

This is the worst hotel to stay in! Please don't! The room stunk. Pillows are stained! They don't clean the rooms at all. Paying $100 a night but feels like a $20 motel. So disappointing.

Me and my husband are longstanding Marriott members. So when we wanted a weekend getaway, and some warm weather we booked this hotel. Which we've stayed at before, about 6 years ago. This was not the kind of Marriott experience we've come to know and stayed only 2 of the 4 nights booked.



The poor customer service began as soon as we landed and called the hotel to request shuttle services. This task took 4 calls and 45 minutes, with a strange run around back and forth for something which seems pretty standard. We tried to reset our expectations from there but when we got to our room it smelled really stale and moldy. The carpet was not clean, and because of COVID no housekeeping service (which I understand). In order to get fresh towels you had to carry your dirty towels to the front desk and practically arm wrestle the man at the desk for clean (and clean was questionable)trade-ins.



Our second night a child threw-up in the outdoor pool/sauna and it went unattended to by any staff. The next morning we checked out.



This hotel is well situated with restaurants and shopping within walking distance and the beach a short car ride away. The grounds are lovely as well and it feels tucked away. So it is extremely unfortunate that the service was so lacking.



The only person we encountered that was at all helpful was Eunice. Eunice happened to be at the front desk the morning we checked out. Eunice heard my complaints, remained calm and completed our checkout in a very professional manner.



I'm not sure what is going on at this property but it could use a customer service intervention!

The toliet was hard to flush. Check in. Was pleasant wonderful guest rep. Terrible. Grab and Go. televisions kept going in and out. Customer service was awful last night. I locked myself out and was told to wear a mask. Will never stay here again. Air stopped working in the middle of the night.

Arrived and my bathroom has never been cleaned.

Carpets are dirty and stained. Hair on the bathroom floor.

Also the hotel is located on a very busy area with a lot of street noise.

Maybe consider another option before choosing this hotel.

Stayed here with wife and kids. Overall the accommodation was good. The room was large and the bed mostly comfortable. The issue with this hotel is with complimentary services. The breakfast which was included with our room was not available before we had to leave for the airport. Not even a box meal was available. Another family with kids were told the staff was running behind on getting the breakfast out. Additionally, the free shuttle was packed with guests. The hotel stated we could wait for 30 minutes when the shuttle returned but it might be full again. With Covid-19 this is truly not acceptable. We did inform the front desk at check in the day before to reserve room on the shuttle so It was not due to a lack of planning on our part nor a lack of knowledge on the hotel's staff. If the hotel stated that the shuttle was going to be full we would have arranged a Uber for transportation. With all the other hotels in the area we will stay elsewhere in the future.

This hotel is absolutely filthy. Blankets full of hair and dirt. Manager refused to do anything about it. Below is the air conditioning that sounds like a truck. My company has a corporate account with them, nice way to treat someone that gives them so much business. Stay away from this place. They actually said it was my fault somehow for the room being disgusting. Don’t waste your money.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I am a lifetime Platinum member of Marriott and this place is the worst I have ever stayed. It’s really like a motel 6 under a Marriott logo and a nice lobby. The staff was very unhelpful but the room was even worse. Everything looks dirty and outdated; it all seems to be covered in a thin layer of grey grime or in the case of the shower and sinks, a yellow staining. I asked for extra towels and they never delivered... In the pullout bed we found wads of hair — disgusting. I was extremely disappointed, but I understand sometimes things happen. However I just have to say that my entire family and I regret this stay and will never, ever come back. We will think twice before staying at any Springhill Suites.

I chose this hotel because of its location. Read reviews before booking so I was expecting an outdated room. The main issue was slow and unstable internet which caused problems for me to work remotely. Front desk staff (a tall gentleman) was very helpful and provided me with a phone number to call to resolve the issue but still very inconvenient. Anyways, it's good for one night. At least I enjoyed location.

I am a Platinum Elite member with Marriott. This hotel is very old and outdated. The staff that I met was tremendous, but the room was terrible. I found long black hairs all over my room (on the sofa bed, on the shower and inside the bed sheets in multiple areas.) I was very disappointed but obviously understand sometimes things happen. I showed the front desk agent and she said they would give me some points for the issue, which I said would be perfectly fine. Well that didn’t even happen. Sadly, if you need a place to stay near the airport, this isn’t it.

I used the parking lot of this hotel and this review is related only to that experience - I did not stay in that hotel.



I parked my car at SpringHill Suites Fort Lauderdale International Airport from 11/11/20 to 12/05/20. When I picked up my car on 12/05 it was hit in the front (right side) as you can see in the attached picture.



Upon checking the issue, I went to the front desk and the receptionist asked me to reach out to general Manager, because she immediately said that the hotel was not liable for that. The shuttle driver also checked out the issue.



Although I emailed the General Manager and called him during a whole week, I haven't heard from him, not even for a simple "apology".



That level of service and lack of feedback made me post this review. I don't recommend this parking service to anybody.

Katherine is a real bitch. Very unprofessional doesn’t know how to multitask and deal with phones and customers infront of her. Definitely not a friendly face you want to see when walking into a place that’s supposed to me hospitable. She was disgusting with a terrible attitude.

DON'T TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY...GET IT IN WRITING! Requested checkout one day early due to infestation of ants in our room. They said don't worry and here's an extra 2,000 points for your inconvenience. I asked should I come checkout in the AM and she said no need to. Well, I was charged for the extra night and of course no points. In addition, they tried charging me $300 extra!! There is something definitely "crooked" going on at this hotel. DO NOT TRUST ANY VERBAL PROMISES AND CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS!!

So, I expect a lot from Marriott, because they say they offer the best. This is NOT Marriott quality at all. Staff was not very friendly. Didn't welcome us when we walked in. The carpet was really gross, needed to be cleaned. The couch had a ton of stains! Needed to be vacuumed. I checked in online and asked for extra towels, none were left. Asked for foam pillows, didn't get them. Don't stay here if you want the Marriott experience.

Hotel was good. Stay was fine. However i worked with the GM over a dispute of being charged more than what was discussed. The GM refused to do anything for me while admitting that his employees made a mistake. I had to check out a day early to receive the money they over charged me. The GM was extremely unprofessional. Being in customer service myself, If any one of my employees dealt with a customer the way he dealt with me, they would no longer work in my company. It’s a shame another GM had to step in to do what he could have done so easily. He ruined this entire experience for me and my guest. I can’t believe the way he talked and treated me. I pray this is not how he treats all his customers but unfortunately i believe it is. If having to deal with a GM i HIGHLY recommend the young female opposed to the male. She was great and fixed our problem. But his behavior out weighed any help i could have been given after the fact. I even presented him with the opportunity to amend his terrible customer service and yet again he failed. I will be filing a complaint about this gentleman to his corporate.
