I used Rodeway for a one night stay before a cruise. The ground transportation from the airport took 45 minutes for pick up at 11:00 pm. The check in process was quick and easy with a very friendly receptionist. The room itself was sufficient with a very comfortable bed. In the morning a complementary breakfast awaited. There was fruits, cereals, breads, waffles and drinks available. The shuttle to the ship was on time and took us straight to the dock. Overall, a great experience for a good price!

This is a great budget hotel near Fort Lauderdale and is great for cruises or airport runs. Rooms are clean with no roaches and the breakfast was actually more than the continental advertised with sausage and eggs. People are way too picky as it’s a very clean budget hotel and it serves its purpose! This hotel should have higher ratings especially for a Rodeway Inn which are typically much lower end than this one. I also forgot to add that the on-site restaurant has great food and burgers.

Staff was really nice, the restaurant nextdoor was awesome and the rate was on point. The downfalls were minimal and could be overlooked, so I won't go into them.

I've been to this property many times over the last fifteen years. It's always great. Rooms are clean, the pool is lovely, and they have everything you need right on property. Even though it is not near any other stores, they have a great gift shop and sell all the things you might need while there. Great bar/restaurant. Big thanks to Marvin, who made us feel welcome right away. The shuttle service and parking options are a huge plus as well. There's a reason we keep coming back and we have a ton of friends who do the same.

Room was dated, the front staff very helpful but room staff not so much. The room was clean except for the floors which seem to not have had a mop used on them in a good amount of time. It was a very basic room. Also the directions to get a shuttle were not very informative and I am a truck driver. The drivers were talkative and if you have questions ,will give good information. The restaurant on site has decent food, but are short of staff, so waits happen. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly. Just take the hotel is for, a place for a night or two.

I came with my family for a getaway. This was a nice place centrally located to the beach and shopping. The nice thing it was off the main road. Our room was nice with 2 queen beds tile floors. Look like they had done some remodeling. Hey its a room we just used it as home based for going all over. I liked the pool and garden area place was pretty decent and clean.
I would come back. the manage was very nice he gave us lots of suggestions.

I absolutely loved this place! My husband and I had a long layover between getting off our cruise and our flight back home. Instead of waiting at the airport for 6hrs, we decided to rent a day room here! I absolutely enjoyed the short amount of time we were there! Shuttle driver was the bomb!! He was so organized and got us where we needed to be!! Front desk crew was amazing as well!

I really liked the room it was very clean and I really liked the shower design. I also like how close the hotel is to the airport and to other restaurants and tourist attractions. There is also a club near the hotel and different activities going on for people that like to mingle and have fun during their stay.The staff and housekeeping team is great and whenever I had a problem they always workes with me to solve it. This is a great location and I recommend you stay here especially if you like a fun atmosphere.

Highly recommend this Rodeway Inn! Everyone is extremely hospitable - especially the manager! Rooms are clean and updated and the property is beautiful. If you’re cruising this is your place to stay! They have everything you need to prepare for your cruise (printer, a shop for anything you forgot, etc). The free cruise and airport shuttles are a major plus and super organized and on time. This place was great, especially for how affordable it was. The woman who met us at the front desk (Hipp... her name began this way but at 4am my memory wasn't great) was so nice even at such an awful hour of the morning. She offered us a later check out time because we had gotten in so late. The breakfast was standard continental fare...but the coffee was hot and the outdoor ambiance was delightful. Beware if you aren't a fan of bird sounds...the boat-tailed grackles are pretty boisterous! I felt so lucky to have found this place. A great stop over in our travels.

The staff was very friendly. We were highly impressed with the courtyard in the middle of all the rooms. Very pretty and relaxing. The room wasn't bad at all! Actually better than I thought it would be. The bed was really hard and we didn't get a very good nights sleep because of how hard it was. We had a jet tub in our room.. and I do mean.. IN our room (not the bathroom). We were excited about the tub but it wasn't very relaxing taking a bath in the room while your SO is watching TV. Not being able to shut a door was a little off putting. There wasn't even a shower curtain around the tub. That brought on another problem. If you used the jets it would splash water all over the floor. My suggestions for the hotel staff is to install a shower curtain and to provide a bath mat and towels by the jet tub along with having them provided in the bathroom. The pool is supposed to be heated but the heater was broken and shockingly enough the pool was actually cold so we didn't get to enjoy it like we were hoping. But overall the experience was pretty darn good!

My Husband & I stayed the night before our cruise and as we came back for the day from and waited for our flight home. We have stayed at many hotels in the area and this one beats hem all. They have it down pat and will take care of you getting anywhere you need. Older hotel but very clean, free breakfast. The manager Izzy was amazing and knows his job well. Completely unexpected and certainly a welcomed surprise. At the front desk CNC Marissa nobody will take better care of you in the state of Florida. All the rooms are clean they have renovated the hotel. They now have vinyl floors. Super clean. Spacious bathrooms with tile. And the bear essential amenities in the room. Such as television refrigerator microwave shampoo and soap. For all the extra Necessities that you might want bring him or go to a different hotel that will charge you $100 more per night. This honestly is one of the best kept secrets in Fort Lauderdale. And right off the main Highway. If you found this review helpful please give me the thumbs up.

Rodeway Inn Ft. Lauderdale - best "motel" experience I've had staying at a Motel. We only choose to stay here bc they offer shuttle service for BOTH the airport & all the cruise ports. The place itself was clean plus they have breakfast! I personally don't eat breakfast, but my husband was very happy with the with the selection.
Since we arrived after midnight we didn't get to use the amenities though they did look very welcoming. Our had a large bubbling bathtub in the room and also have a separate shower in the bathroom. The pool looked refreshing and have several photo props setup on the grounds.
The shuttles to the port in morning we're very organized by the roadway staff.
I have no complaints (and I usually can find many) 😁 I do recommend Roadway if you're looking for an inexpensive way to stay overnight before your cruise instead of risking the chance of missing your cruise if your flight is delayed.

Front desk staff answered all questions. Rooms were clean, spacious and up to date. Restaurant was very busy, we waited about 40+ minutes for our food, but server did inform us of the wait prior to ordering. Food was delicious! Courtyard area was well maintained with plenty of sitting areas. Breakfast was good. We used the shuttle service to get to and from Port Everglades without issue. Car was left on their lost while we were on our cruise. Will stay here again for our next cruise.

We stayed here for 2 nights. We will stay again, if ever we find ourselves back this way and in fact, we may just have to find a reason to do so, just so we can see the friendly staff! Each one of them presented with a genuine smile and attitude that wanted to make sure you were happy not only with your service, but with the day ahead. John, at the front desk, was one that you hope others would be like. Polite, helpful, caring, and had a light that made you feel happier! We even went to the gift shop while waiting for our shuttle and they had exactly what was needed along with another great attitude from personnel. Cannot speak highly enough, about the experience we had.

A great little hotel by the airport. The shuttle worked great. We did a dayuse and they gave us a late checkout. The restaurant attached to it was good with great service. Of course not the nicest hotel out there, but our stay was wonderful. Oh and when they say be there 15 minutes early for the shuttle they mean it. (Why call it a 8 o'clock shuttle if it leaves at 7:52?!?)

The gift shop was fully equipped and a pleasure to browse. The courtyard garden was a surprise oasis and the serenade of the birds at dusk was a remarkable event. The staff did an excellent job organizing the transportation of airport and cruise guests. We will definitely stay at this safe an affordable hotel in the future. We thought this was a great hotel. Very clean and pleasant and Russ was a wonderful host checking us in. Very quiet!The grounds are nice and they do have a limited breakfast but decent. There is a bar and grill on site with good food. Saved us from having to elsewhere for dinner. Nice pool also. They have a shuttle which pick us up at the airport and took us to the cruise port the next day. We would definitely stay here again.

There were certainly some highs and lows with my 1 night stay. So let's start with the price, definitely a 10 as the price was very reasonable compared to other hotels nearby. Next was the airport shuttle, another 10. They kept me updated as to when the shuttle would arrive and even texted a link for real time tracking. The hotel lobby, well that's a 1. It was brightly lit and looked more like a combination of a cheesy gift shop and liquor store. It was so odd. There was also a woman sprawled out on the one couch. Check in...a 10. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was very basic and clean, but....there was a strong cigarette smell even though it was a non-smoking room. Also, the air conditioner was so loud that I had to turn it off to sleep. So a 4 for the room. The bathroom however was a solid 10. It was freshly remodled and was very big. Honestly, it was the nicest hotel bathroom I've ever been in. The pool area looked clean and well maintained. I skipped the complementary breakfast, so I can't comment on that.

My experience at the Roadway in was pretty excellent. I was getting back from a trip and needed a room. Ray was very kind and helpful, it was no problem to get us an early check in and we ended up staying there a second time a week or so later. The service was great as was the price, the rooms I feel were well worth the price paid and I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Ray.

We really are going to miss coming here! My wife and I are owner operator truck drivers and have been using this property as a home away from home for the last 3 years. It was the trifecta, with nice rooms and services (for pets as well as humans), very convenient restaurant Marina 84, and ample truck parking.
We had a 3 night reservation starting yesterday and was told our parrot Mikey was no longer allowed due to corporate policy. Mikey has made a number of friends here over the years, which is a bit sad.
That's it. No criticism of the Hotel or Izzy or Rus. It is a great property with great services. It is just a shame I won't be able use anymore.

Impressed by our stay. When we booked 6 months prior to our cruise, the price was so much cheaper than any other hotel that my expectations were pretty low.
Turns out it’s really a fine place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights before our cruise and it turned out to fit our needs perfectly.
Obviously the rooms are not freshly renovated or anything, but the people were very, very nice with our family and helped with everything we needed.
Since we could not used the planned 10 or 11 o clock shuttle to the port because we would’ve arrived too early, they offered a late shuttle at noon that included late checkout for $5 per person, which I think is very much a bargain.
The breakfast was fine for our taste especially for just a night or two.
The only downside is we arrived on a night when there was a motorcycle event in the restaurant attached to the hotel, and we had a few episodes of kids waking up because of loud motorcycle burnout noises which was very unpleasant.
Otherwise, haven’t seen many family with kids around here, mostly elderly couples, but our kids are very well behaved so it wasn’t an issue at all for us, only made our stay better because they all loved our kids.

Our flights were canceled out of Ft Lauderdale into Cleveland because of weather. Unfortunately, this hotel and their sister hotel were all booked up. Izzy made sure to get us a late check out and a private shuttle to our next hotel. Bar and grille was an added bonus with pretty good food. Would definitely stay here again.

This was the most amazing experience the staff is incredibly friendly, the manager is one hell of a guy and so inviting. I love the suites we stayed in the jacuzzi room at an affordable rate, there’s a tub and shower included and they offered a late checkout at noon for free of charge and only 10$ to upgrade to a later checkout time! I will 100% be staying here every time I come to the Hollywood/Miami area! They also offer free shuttles to and from the airport and cruise ports!

This hotel is really very good because they have many advantages. The location is excellent because it is a very close to Airport. They offer free shuttle from/to airport alao free parking if you have car.
All guests get free breakfast, it's available from 7am to 9:30am. Just don't forget to bring your breakfast card that you received at your check-in.
The property of the hotel is extremely comfortable and the rooms are all really very clean and spacious, especially the king bedroom with jetted tub. The most remarkable thing is the human team that works at the Rodeway Inn since without exception they are all wonderful. Special mention should be made of the people at the Front Desk, especially Mr. Swan who works usually night shift at front desk and always willing to help you and solve any need you may have.
Overall I highly recommend this place and will stay again.

Overall a good experience. The rooms were clean and sufficient. We were apprehensive about how things would be considering the huge flood last week. But the pool was in good shape and the rooms were fine. The staff worked hard all week to make repairs.
The shuttle service was handy. Our drivers Juan and Antoine were super friendly and very accommodating.
The hotel front desk was a very busy place but always helped and made sure I was taken care of.
The breakfast area was a bit of a disappointment during the week as the full breakfast wasn't available. (We were told only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mo days - cruise days). But the breakfast staff was quick to stock and clean up.
The hotel staff cleaning the rooms did a fine job.
The attached restaurant was great. Good food and staff.
The only thing we didn't particularly like wad there was no convenient way to walk to restaurants or grocery stores. Every trip required shuttle/Uber.

Breakfast was a great surprise since Covid a lot of places have stopped offering hot breakfast and with the price I wasn’t expecting much. I was so happy to have free waffles, sausage, and eggs. Beautiful hotel and room just FYI booking on a 3rd party booking site the hotel still bills an additional charge which is sorta sketchy. *EDIT* The cable here has been out 1 day, front desk has been lying since yesterday customer service department has a lot of lip service with no results deflecting about becoming a rewards member that's useless bs and run around, repetitive questions, and obvious reasons why I said what I said!!! The cable situation has been fixed 24 hours later after I called. I'm looking forward to those great waffles in the morning, thanks 😊 !

The shuttle ride from tge Airport was great. Oliver, the driver, was funny and helpful. The hotel was well run and efficient. They have a good size shop and an attached bar-restaurant (Marina 84- Sports Bar (see separate review). Rooms are roomy, with a large bathroom. Toilet seemed to run continuously and self flushed. Rooms are clean but older. Ceiling needs help. There is a small frig with a small freezer. They have a free breakfast with coffee, juices, eggs, sausage, pancakes, muffins, yogurt, etc. Good, but super busy!

My wife and I had the PLEASURE of staying "Rodeway Inn and Suites" for a couple of days after our latest Cruise. We wanted to visit a few friends in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea and not bother them with picking us up at the Cruise Port.
Rodeway Inn offers FREE shuttle to and from Port Everglades as well as to and from the Airport. The price was reasonable, the Continental breakfast was a plus, and the location was perfect.
OK, YES you do have to wait a few Minutes at Check-in, but think about it, you have to wait to check-in for the Cruise or at the Airport, so why the big fuss about the wait. Don't arrive when ALL the Cruise Passengers arrive and no wait.
The Hotel is NOT the Ritz, but you also are NOT paying for the Ritz... It is VERY Clean, with comfortable beds a very enjoyable Restaurant. What else do ya need?
When we were leaving for the airport, the shuttle was running behind and we might have not been able to catch our flight. When the General Manager, Izzy Fintz, became aware of the situation, he took the Bull by the Horns, and provided a private transport at his expense.
I will never applauded someone for doing their job, THAT is what they get paid for, but when an Individual such as Izzy takes it upon himself to satisfy a customer that is LEAVING, that my friends is going "Above and Beyond".
I was a General Manager of Multiple Retail Locations, and would have loved to have an employee such as Izzy on Staff.
You can bet your Bottom Dollar, "Rodeway Inn and Suites" will ALWAYS be our choice when going on future cruises out of Port Everglades, or just going to visit friends in the Fort Lauderdale Area.
Thank You Izzy we JUST made our flight with a few minutes to spare, and without your intervention it would not have happened.

Izzy and Ruslan were the best help to us during our stay and made sure we were taken care of and after hearing about our bad experience at the other hotel gave us free wine and comfort in an unfamiliar place. We travel consistently for work and this was the best experience of hospitality we've ever had. Highly recommend this clean inn!

Izzy with cruise transport provided us excellent customer service... they have a well oiled machine for getting you to where you need to be! Loved the guy dressed as a cruise captain at breakfast making us waffles, nice fun touch to get us into vacay mode. Room was clean, loved the gift shop and options to purchase wine for not much more than you would pay at a grocery store...very convenient since we flew in from TX and wanted to take our two freebies on the ship. I was nervous when we first arrived at 2am for check in 😂, but I would definitely stay here again! 😍😎

This hotel is the best at getting people to their cruise.
Picked us up at the airport, next morning transported us to the cruise ship very efficiently...and took care of baggage.
Check in took longer than expected but they were very busy.

Upon checking in I was welcomed by a warm smile, easy check in, nice and polite staff working the front office they make you feel very welcomed. Walking into my room it smelled so fresh and clean! Beds are super soft plenty of fluffy pillows and the bathroom was stocked with extra towels. You can tell the cleaning staff does a thorough job. I did take a dip in the pool (it is heated by the way) was so refreshing on such a hot day! They also have a restaurant/bar in the front of the hotel, I had dinner there and shockingly food was amazing! Great prices and drinks are made perfectly good job bar tenders! Over all experience exceeded my expectations definitely don’t judge a book by its cover with this Hotel!
