Used to be better service back in the days. Now waiting for shuttle 30-40min to be picked up from car rental center (2nd time waiting that long). When calling to check where is the shuttle rep. saying it was there already when shuttle wasn't ever. At 5am you cant miss shuttle when there is such a low traffic. Will find better place to park.
As a preface, I was traveling with my wife, 6 month and 2.5 year old. 3 suitcases, 2 backpacks, 2 handbags, a stroller and a car seat.
Dropping off was fine. They were a little short with me, but it was 6am, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Driver was friendly enough but he left my family's bags on the road at the airport, rather than taking them to the curb. With so many bags, it took multiple trips to just get them to the curb.
Picking up was pretty bad. We had to take 2 shuttles to get back to our car, which I didn't realize ahead of time. Not ideal with so many bags, kids, and needing to deconstruct the stroller each time. The ohare shuttle to the car rental center was good, minimal wait, plenty of room, friendly driver. Then we waited 30 minutes for the Routes driver. So in total, in took about 45 minutes to get to our car. At least our car was ready when we got there.
I used Routes several times for parking, all other times were fine. I guess things have changed since my last parking. I arrived at the airport around midnight, called Routes for a pick up. I was told to catch a shuttle to Rental, (he drove like a snail) and I will then be picked up by Routes!! Really??? It took too much time getting back to my car! I will not be using them again parking!
Dropping off and picking up were quick, but after I got home I found out someone went thru my car and stole my transponder from my windshield. I live in a gated community and couldn’t get in since my transponder was missing. My insurance papers were in my cup holder and my sunglasses holder was opened! Don’t risk getting stuff stolen out of your car.
There is zero organization here. Employees have no sense of urgency to get you your car back if you park here. They prioritize everyone coming in the door renting a new car. Stay away if you can.
I was a little hesitant/nervous to book parking through Routes based on reviews that I read. I wanted to do further research and SpotHero had better reviews. I figured I would take the risk since I had the time to spare in case something went wrong. I arrived at facility and services was quick, I presented my reservation and filled out valet voucher/ticket. Attendant did not talk much which was fine with me as it was early in the morning and I did not feel like talking. Overall, I checked in and was on the shuttle in less than 5 minutes.
I read reviews in how pick-up can be a nightmare but to my experience it was not bad. Valet tells you step by step what to do, head to rental car shuttle, call once you arrive and wait to be picked up. For some this might be an annoying process, I had to wait 21 minutes for shuttle to arrive. Driver was friendly and called in reservation number so that upon arrival at lot my car would be up front. Within two minutes arriving I was already driving out of the lot.
I neither loved it nor hated it. Based on what I paid, really good price for 3 nights, I gave it 3 stars. It was okay.
Will I use in the future, probably will.
We flew in from California. We found Routes online and it was the cheapest one we found. The Business is not next to the airport. You have to catch a buss to the main area where all the Rental Businesses are. Than you have to wait for a Route buss to pick you up there. May not be worth the money if you are in a hurry. Must put a deposit down and you must have an insurance card for liability. They do not take a Debit card. You have to put a deposit on the car. If not don't waste your time. All the other rental cars company are right outside the airport. You catch a shuttle from baggage and you are there. The gentleman behind the counter was very professional and took good care of us. So you just have to weigh options, if you are not in a hurry this could be for you. For me it was worth the money and the cars they offered were awesome. He also shared some info about tolls you have to pay. Thanks for you help. Awesome job

Pretty slow service. Also, seems if you're not a girl, good luck getting your car back in a timely manner, and then they try to tell you that you should have called to have it ready. The number they give you doesn't exactly have that option and when I did call to let them know I needed to be picked up. They should ask if you are a person that is going to rent or if you are picking up a personal car so they can have it ready. Very disappointed with the service.
Slow and unfriendly service. Took longer than I would have expected to get to the airport, had to wait a while to get picked up on the way back, and after getting back had to wait some more in the rentals line and then some more for them to pull the car around. Considering that I called immediately after getting off the plane this seems excessive.
The shuttle drivers on the way to the airport and back both rudely requested a tip.
Price was worse than simply parking in lot G and only slightly better than parking in lots F or E.
We have parked here before. I parked Thursday and picked I up my car Friday. Drop off was wonderful and easy, picking up is a ride on the Phase shuttle to the rental car area and then a pick up there by the Routes van. It's fine if you are not in a hurry to get home. Friendly drivers. I got a cheap rate on Spot Hero. May use again.
We used Routes parking when flying out of the Chicago O'Hare airport. Just turned out to be a really great alternative to parking at the airport. The rates were reasonable and the staff was very nice. It was a quick trip from the parking area to the airport and the driver took us right to the gate we needed. Upon our return we were able to locate the driver quickly and get back to the routes parking area. they took good care of the vehicle and were quick to deliver it up front and help us load baggage. Overall agreed experience I will definitely be using them again.
Routes parking service used to be very fast. The last two times I've parked here have resulted in an extremely long wait at the airport and at the service desk. They need a separate line for personal car pickup. Rental car pickups take much longer and slow everyone else down. There are not enough shuttles and never enough people working at the counter. The low cost does not make up for my time wasted. Over 1.5 hrs after landing and I still don't have my car. I will not be using Routes again.
Terrible service. They just DON'T care. And they are happy to admit it.
I dropped off my car and had to wait 20 minutes for a shuttle. They only have 1 shuttle and 1 driver. We loaded up, the driver disappeared for about 10 minutes and then off to the airport. We were at the international terminal, and he wasn't too familiar with it.
Coming back you need to take the bus to the rental car lot and then wait 20 minutes more for a shuttle to take you to the car lot. Then it was 39 minutes waiting in line just to pick up my car. They explained they were very busy, and their main business is renting cars so parking wasn't a priority.
Finally when I got my car I found a brand new crease in the bumper. They insisted it was there when my car was dropped off (it wasn't) and showed me their walk around diagram showing there was an issue marked. They never offered me the option of walking around the car and signing off on the initial inspection. They just took my car and drove off. When I asked about this they told me, "80% of our customers don't want to do the inspection - they just want to drop the car and leave, so we don't offer to do the inspection with them anymore." The fact they could say that with a straight face was beyond belief. My guess is they put the mark on the sheet AFTER they damaged the car realizing nobody could argue with them.
BTW, after waiting 40 minutes to pick up my car, finding it damaged, and going back inside to talk to someone about it, it took the manager more than 5 minutes to come out of his office. He seemed reluctant to come and look at the car, but agreed to. I said, "Let's go." He stopped in his tracks, looked at me and replied, "Don't rush me!" Ugh.
1. Long wait for the shuttle both going to and returning from the airport. Give yourself 30-45 minutes just for shuttle wait and drive time given traffic.
2. Long wait to pick up your car. Plan an extra 45 minutes.
3. If you're stupid enough to use these guys after reading this review, INSIST on doing a walkaround inspection before you surrender your car.
AVOID THEM!!! Pay a few bucks extra and go somewhere else. WARNING: ONLY PARK HERE IF YOU WANT TO CHANCE DAMAGE OR THEFT TO YOUR VEHICLE THAT WON’T BE DEALT WITH! They left a 2-3 foot long gouge on my passenger side and left me to discover it! Wish I could give 0 stars. Estimates are $2000 of damage(see pictures below).
Hose the lot manager said he would pull their camera footage and it would take 48-72 hours then never called. When I called them, they are not returning calls. Putting me on hold and nobody ever picks up. Manager always on an errand. Was hoping they would be honest but looks like this is a very shady operation! Wish I had read the reviews before using them. Looks like unpaid for damaged cars and theft is a common practice.
There are things they need to work on and things that were great.
Drop off was good and efficient. Pickup, however, needs some work. Upon pickup you need to go to the car rental section of the airport which is about a 5-10 minute bus ride. It’s strange that you’re not picked up at the airport itself like other transfers.
They tell you that once you arrive to the rental building to call for a ride. My husband and I called, along with 2 other women, for about 25 minutes before someone answered, and we didn’t even select the “request a ride” option on the phone- I think my husband got someone when he requested to make a reservation. They said someone was on the way.
1 van arrived and people were literally fighting to get on it because there were so many of us. One woman yelled as she was getting in that she’d waited over an hour to get on. Another van came during the loading of the first and we had to push our way to get on before the families that JUST got there and only waited a few seconds.
They definitely need to work on staffing, and making sure they’re circulating more pickup vans and answering the phones more. When people fly home they want the quickest and easiest way possible to get home, not to have to wait and fight to get there.
When I got to my car there were no noticeable issues or scratches so I was good there.
I have used this parking lot several times in the past due to having slightly better customer service than others. However, this last time about 2 weeks ago was the worst! When we returned from our trip, I called the number as requested for pick up. I was told to stand out where the shuttles were picking up and the shuttle would arrive shortly. Well 20 minutes later, there was no shuttle. I contacted the office for an explanation. I was told that their pick location had changed and needed to take another shuttle to get to the location. Please note that I had my daughter who has special needs and my mother who was in a wheel chair with me! I asked why I wasn't told when I called earlier. I was told that I needed to learn to read, and I needed to get off the phone so they could continue to do their job! I was livid! We took the shuttle to the new location to get picked up which took another 30 minutes! An hour to get back to my car and it wasn't even ready to go when I got there! They still had to go and find it after my first call an hour earlier! On top on everything else, the bathrooms were disgusting! They told us they didn't know what they looked like and when they had last been cleaned! They have lost my business! I would never refer anyone else here or use their services in the future!
It was my first time parking at Routes for almost a week. Online purchase through SPOT HERO was pretty straightforward. Here is my feedback.
Location - 4. Easy to find, but entrance is a bit tricky. A one way or Entrance sign would make it easier. ADD a note in SPOT HERO also.
Space - 5. It is spacious inside and easy to pull in most of the time.
Parking - 5. Valet drop off and pick works like a charm at the parking location. CALL ahead with your parking ticket number on the return.
Staff and service - 4. Staff is courteous and responses quickly in person and over the phone. Rental and just parking gets mixed up and confusing.
Shuttle Service - 3. Drop off to Airport was awesome. IMPROVE - Pick up from the Airport at Rental terminal in the night. Directions are confusing for first time and long wait. Have a few shuttles available. It was very painful to have families waiting, left out and kids sitting on a lap.
