Flight days are always challenging. O'Hare handled my flight delay and multiple gate changes with patience and grace. It was good to be there and even better to finally be home.

Nice airport in Chicago with a good selection of food and shopping options. The toilets could use some cleaning. Otherwise not bad. I liked the food court area in terminal 3. Pretty wide options to choose from and ample seating areas. Lots of shops to get souvenirs from and me and hubby also grabbed some chocolates from Rocky Mountain chocolate factory.

Relatively clean and modern airport, if a bit sprawling. Plenty of quick food in terminals 1,2,&3 as well as a small amount of sit down dining. Food options are limited in but available in term. 5. Plenty of restrooms throughout the airport. Gate lounge seating is adequate. I've never had any trouble here.

Staff: The staff is very helpful. The only issue I have here is how big the place is.
Building: The building is spacious and very well taken care of. The bathrooms are clean.
Concourse: They are spread out and can make for tough navigation when you have short layovers.
Parking: plenty of parking.
Star rating: Great airport for being sooo huge.
I have no problem coming back here every chance I get.

A very nice airport with many planes to fly on. This is a very large airport with lots of terminals, shuttles, buildings, and, especially, a lot of people most days. This can make the experience here a bit more stressful, but airports are always stressful. In the actual airport past security, there are shops everywhere and rarely will you be too far from some type of food to eat. It’s a place I enjoy but I don’t rave about it.

I used it to transfer from a domestic flight to an international flight. The boarding gate was easy to find and there were many benches to wait. Overall it was clean and the staff were very friendly. It happened to be snowing that day, so I was able to enjoy the rare scenery.

The part of the airport we saw was pretty nice.
I really liked the seats, some big ones and super comfortable. I even saw people sleep on them.
A kid can totally fit.
We were there early (7ish) and many stores were open

Big airports come with big things both good and bad. If you don’t mind huge crowds and sometimes long waits in the security line, or a fare terminal work then O’Hare won’t be a problem for you. I understand somebody can’t handle that and get too stressed out. But the good thing that comes with that , is more airline options, rental car options, and hundreds of restaurants to choose from. This is one airport I do recommend arriving early if your flight is during peak times!

O'Hare Airport's art collection adds a cultural touch to the travel experience. The vibrant sculptures, paintings, and installations throughout the terminals enhance the ambiance and provide a welcome break from the hustle and bustle. It's a pleasant surprise for art enthusiasts.
In summary, O'Hare Airport offers a convenient gateway to Chicago and the world. While it boasts a vast array of amenities and dining choices, efficiency and weather-related delays can be issues to consider when planning your trip.

Very large airport but needs some updating like the bathrooms etc..
They have a lactation pod which is pretty neat
The shuttle/train connects everything which is pretty cool however expect to walk/travel between 15-20 minutes to your carousel/car rental.
So if you are flying in for a last minute meeting or in a rush do not land close within that! Unless you plan on I wrong!

As a US citizen, if you arrive at an airport that has the look and feel of a developing nation, but doesn’t require a passport and has no immigration checkpoints from your gate to baggage claim, don’t be confused, you might be at O’Hare.
On arrival, I walked far enough in one direction past do not enter signs on moving walkways headed the opposite direction to think I had missed the signs to ground transportation, or at least missed the train to baggage claim. Nope. No train to baggage claim, just an unending walk in a narrow, constantly curving hallway until eventually there is a very narrow escape route to baggage claim and eventually the street…where they don’t let ride share pick you up despite all the airport signage indicating otherwise. Not to worry, there is one sign propped up against a bus shelter saying ride share has moved to terminal 2 and you need to take something called an ATS which is on a different level. No mention of what terminal or level you are currently at or on.
Thankfully the third airport employee I found was able to assist, I had to go “up to the top and get on the train”. So I found options for going up, and boarded a train that mentioned terminal 2.
It was here that I met other passengers from the same flight, one who had a friend in Chicago texting helpful information.
Following the text messages and looking for coherent signage while going up and then down multiple levels, we found a train going to chicago and I abandoned my ride share quest entirely.
Overall it was nice that I didn’t need a passport or have to exchange currency. And they get 4 stars because the Clear + Pre-check lines were efficient on the return. But in terms of airports, I wouldn’t consider O’Hare a joy to navigate.

I’ve travelled through O’Hare Airport (Terminal 3) 8 times now and I love it. It’s well laid out with good signage, huge selection of shops to buy souvenirs/presents for loved ones and a varied selection of cuisines to tantalise your taste buds.
The staff are always helpful. There are lots of bathrooms scattered around and they are immaculate.
It may be a long walk to your departure gate so be ready for a trek. Once you get there plenty of seating is available to take a rest.

Busy, huge airport that may require updating some of its facilities although it has clean and decent toilet facilities. Very long queues for the custom that took us almost two hours to be processed. I met one of the staff at the airport lounge by the name of George G. Who was very nice and kind to me as he directed and help me catch my connecting flight in time, as well as my positive experience to some of the staff at o’hare hence giving then my highest feedback rating, highly recommended airport to experience your once in a lifetime journeys.

I like to fly into O'Hare airport from Milwaukee. O' Hare has flights to many destinations. It is easy to maneuver through, and I always allow myself enough time to reach other parts of the airport. It has some nice artwork, and it is a very clean airport. There are many shops here too. I highly recommend this airport.

Big airport. Not easy / intuitive to find the ride app pick up zone on arrival - poor signage and long walk to the designated area.
Also lack of lounges in Terminal 1,2,3 for some reason (not a single one on priority pass?)

Great experience, had to transit between Terminals, wasn't a hassle. Easy to hop on and off through the train service. Good food options. The terminal shuttle runs every few mins, so no worries of missing a train shuttle.
Bathrooms are clean, plenty of baby changing tables, easy to access at multiple locations at all terminals.
Duty free shops have many options to shop for. Food courts have good amount of cuisine variety.
Overall ORD transit was a good experience for me!

Well maintain airport. Biggest airport. Clean and not too much busy. Plenty shopping option. My flight was from the terminal 5 and I arrived in the terminal 1 from the alska. Then I took metro train for the terminal 5. And security check in like also busy for immigration.

Overall the experience was good. Huge airports are typically difficult to navigate but signage in most areas were great. It was also a very pretty airport. Unfortunately, I don't think this airport has appropriate signage for travel options. I found myself wondering around confused as where to find the rental car area. Finally asked someone because I was going back and forth trying to find signage directions. Tip: for the rental car area you have to get on the train outside and get off at the last terminal (depending on the direction you are traveling). Once you are actually on the train the stops are listed in advance so it is easy from there.

O’Hare Chicago Airport is very big, they have managed it so well. It’s very neat and clean. They atmosphere inside the Airport is so nice 😊
I liked this Airport because of cleanness, many options for food and shopping.
Passengers waiting areas for their flights are very nice and relaxing.
Suggestion: I only find ATM on B16, please add more atms on other gates as well.
Thanks, I had good time there.

O’hare is a super nice airport! However because of its hugeness, expect about long taxi times if your not that lucky…
But this is a super nice airport even with construction that will change this airport forever!
But when we landed from our Red Eyed flight from Seattle, the staff led us to the wrong Shuttle Exit with was out of Vestibule 2E instead of 2C. So he took us to 2E, thankfully the shuttle driver stopped for us at 2E. Last time we went out of 2C but instead took us to 2E which was the wrong spot. 2C was where our shuttle Loews was coming from.
But this airport is amazing!

Pretty convenient. You can take the tram, bus or walk between Terminals 1 to 3. There are lots of places to eat and a variety of options. If you're on the go there are a bunch of unique vending machines that sell anything from Sprinkles Cupcakes to Lego Sets.
Overall it can get quite busy and a pain to get to and through the airport so plane to use up more time than expected.

Enjoyed my layover sat O’Hare international airport. Plenty of options for eating and drinking. Staff is friendly. Facilities are neat and tidy. Very happening place. You can get bored.
This is what they offer (as per their website):
“While you are passing through O'Hare, we offer a number of services and amenities to ease your travels. Our USO locations offer a relaxing and comfortable space for active military personnel and their families.
The Hilton O'Hare is an on-site hotel providing accommodations for travelers who require an extended stay, or are looking for a place to rest in between flights. There is also various airport art throughout the terminals.
We have worked extremely hard to ensure our airport is fully accessible to passengers with disabilities and special needs. Our Accessibility Guide will point you in all the right directions and help you navigate through our airport.
We are happy you're here!”

This airport is straight out of the 1990s. Some may see that as dated, others (like us) see that as cool!
The architecture is throughout is really interesting and unique. All of the concourses & terminals have some sort of unique architectural element to them. The airport is also very well lit throughout.
Both underground tunnels are really cool as well--very colorful.
Airport is pretty clean, staff are friendly.

O'Hara is a very busy airport but things tend to flow smoothly. There are good places to purchase gifts, good, drink, even the famous Garrett's Popcorn has a shop there. The people moving through O'Hare seem to know where they're going which makes it all work. The restrooms are clean actually, the whole airport seemed to be clean. It's a nice airport, huge so wear comfortable shoes as you may need to do a little walking. O'Hare does have transportation to get you from one location to another if needed.

being one of the busiest airports in the world has some disadvantages. I think depending upon which terminal you are flying into or out of greatly determines your satisfaction with this place. I fly United often and those terminals have been upgraded with great food and beverage options along with multiple United club locations. And you always get to walk through the groovy neon people moving sidewalk.
The newly added tram to the Rent-A-Car parking destinations lot is nice in the winter as you don’t have to go outside to catch the train.

I came back to Chicago airport after a gap of 14 years last time it was 2010. It is such a big airport and has so many terminals. All terminals are connected. You will feel that it is shopping mall and also allow flights as there are so many shops. You can do find so many popcorn shops. First time I saw Lego dispensing kiosk.
I did not go out of the airport as it was only transfer from Toronto to Portland. You can find so many places to relax and enjoy. My flights were mainly from Terminal 1 and 2.
Airport is fully accessible and washrooms are clean. One of the best airport.

Lots of people traffic. If you are going to talk as a group, don't do it in the walkway. It gets congested. Other than that, it was pretty organized and informative. So long as you look at the signs, you shouldn't get lost. Plenty of places to eat, drink, and relax. The bathrooms are fairly clean (or at least when I looked at them).

Exceptional! The air port is very very busy. The hallways are crowded and there seems to always be someone running to catch a flight. But guess what? It’s an international airport and their whole staff is doing there very best to allow you to have a good experience. Instead of saying it’s crowded think of how many people they are helping. The flights are great. They have tons of different places to eat and shop. You have to remember to be patient and make the most of the fact that there are airports like this that can help lots of people.

Charging ports worked on the chairs and there was food. Can't ask for much more. There was a popcorn stand next to me. I wanted popcorn the whole time. I didn't end up getting any cause I hadn't even eaten breakfast yet, but it was tempting. This got off track. Service was good when questions were asked, and the chairs weren't horrible. Over all good experience.

Had a one hour layover at this airport and it is fairly easy to move around in with lots of space. The design of the concourse is beautiful with the arches and natural lighting coming from all sides. It’s a steampunk-like concourse design. Very efficient airport with some modern features. It’s also the base airport of United Airlines so this is the signature United experience. Super cool airport!

Overall, Chicago O'Hare International Airport sets the standard for excellence in airport design and functionality, making it a top choice for travelers.

A good international airport. The airport security is fairly quick, and the check in desks are efficient. It has plenty of car parking space, plenty of vending shops, and plenty of seating near the departure gates.
However the vending shops are expensive, and the car parks are expensive.
All of these observations are when there were no extensive delays in the flights. It could very well be very different if events like bad weather cause extensive delays.

One of the most artistically beautiful airport that I’ve seen! I had a layover at the airport and had the chance to witness quite a lot of modern art on the ceilings and walls. It’s soo beautiful that they even have signs which warns you to watch your step because you might get distracted. They even have a big sized statue of a Dinosaur. I love when the airports have some sentiment and story behind it. Makes you more connected and enjoy your time at the airport. One of the terminals actually looks more like a train station than an airport terminal.

All in all a really great airport. You do have to hustle to catch your flight as the terminals are big. So definitely don't book a short layover. Very nice selection of restaurants. Would love more comfortable seating areas to sit during layover. But one of my favorite places to land

It's a busy airport and flying international may require a transfer between terminals via bus. Fast & efficient.
Going thru Terminal 5 today. It's worth noting that if your gate is beyond M20 services are limited but scheduled to improve soon(?)
The photo shows construction of a couple new food outlets.
It's a great place to watch planes though.

Nice airport with plenty of shops for last-minute survivor. There are a few modern installment of fashion competition display which make traveling from one terminal to another more enjoyable. There is also kids playing area which looks great. One complaint I do have is that not all the outlet works. After trying to charge my phone for 30 mins, I discovered that the outlet I used did not charge. I tried out multiple ones as I searched for a working one, and it's pretty random. I talked to other passengers and many of them just found out that their device was not charged and not happy about it. Would be great to have more working outlet for all the travelers!

It’s our first time in this airport. Terminal 3 is huge. Extremely busy. Inspection was fast. Staff were courteous. Foodcourt offers a variety of meal choices. If you’re a McDonalds fan, you’ll be happy to pass through here. There are 2 chocolate shops I saw, and a popcorn shop too. Charging stations are available in the food court as well as in the gates.
The seating in each gate is not enough for the big number of passengers. Close to boarding, you’ll see passengers standing on the hallway. Some gates are dimly lighted; light bulbs need to be replaced.

There are many good food restaurants and stores.
The toilets are clean, the staff are polite, very good signage inside the airport, easy communication, very fast through security, at every airport I saw signage and wheelchair access, clean toilets. All terminals 1, 2 and 3 are connected to each other and you can easily walk between them. The walk from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 takes about 10 minutes, and from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 can take up to 20 minutes if you're walking from the far gate to the far gate. They also have shuttle cars. They take people between the terminals.
Just one thing: the traffic to get to the airport is very heavy, so I recommend leaving at least 2.30 hours before your flight to avoid any problems.
Chester Cunningham

As far as airports go, this one is decent. Despite having to go from one gate to another, a long walk is only about five minutes.
There are signs that clearly mark pretty much everything. My flight was in the evening, and despite having tons of restaurants, most were closed. I did find decent food at the Chic Filet, even with their limited menu.
The only bad thing I will say about this place is that it is in Chicago.

All the terminals 1, 2, and 3 are connected to each other and you can easily walk between them. The walk from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 takes about 10 minutes, and from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 can take up to 20 minutes if you're walking from farthest gate to farthest gate. They also have shuttle cars. That take people between terminals.
There are many good food restaurants and shops.

This is a very nice airport.
It is very clean.
All the people were curtious
It could be a little overwhelming to say the least.
I liked flying with Southwest.
They offered free movies
I had a flight credit
So I took a quick flight out to Chicago
My stay was nice
The airport also offered shuttles to get you to your hotel.
That made for a great addition.
I would like to come back here again

For it's size, O'Hare is pretty well organized. The terminals are clean and updated. Good signage and plenty of restrooms ( although the restrooms are pretty basic). Ample food choices. The TSA agents weren't all that friendly, but they kept the lines moving. I loved all the flags along the walkways. Plenty to look at as you walk to your gate.

It's a good airport. Plenty of food, shops, seating, and things to keep you occupied between flights. TSA is decent and lines move fairly quickly. Be sure to read signs y'all.
By the way, if you're headed into the city, slip the taxi/ride share and take the L (blue line). My hotel is only a block away and I got to skip all the traffic drama.

O'Hare Terminal 3: Where Time Flies and Cake Vends
Chicago O'Hare Terminal 3. It's not just a gateway to the world, it's a bizarre and wonderful world of its own. Forget the usual airport stress, this place is like a fever dream of efficiency and unexpected delights.
First off, navigating this terminal is surprisingly painless. Clear signage, moving walkways that actually work, and a general sense of order that's shocking for such a massive airport. I half expected to get lost in a maze of identical corridors, but nope, I found my gate with time to spare. Maybe I should start questioning my sense of direction...
And then there are the shops. Sure, you've got your standard duty-free and Hudson News, but then things get weird. Need a last-minute birthday cake? Boom, there's a vending machine for that. Forgot your lipstick? No problem, Kylie Jenner's got you covered (also via vending machine, naturally). I even saw a machine selling neck pillows that looked suspiciously like giant plush croissants. Who needs human interaction when you've got automated retail therapy?
But the real highlight is the sheer variety of people-watching opportunities. You've got stressed-out business travelers glued to their phones, excited families heading off on vacation, and the occasional bewildered tourist who clearly took a wrong turn at Albuquerque. And let's not forget the fashion show. From sweatpants and slippers to full-on suits and gowns, it's like a runway of human existence.
The only downside? The constant temptation to spend all my money on those ridiculous vending machines. Do I really need a slice of red velvet cake at 7am? Probably not. But hey, it's vacation time, right? And who knows, maybe I'll invent a new travel trend: the "cake-and-carry-on." Just picture it: me, strolling through security with a slice of cake in one hand and my boarding pass in the other. A true pioneer of airport indulgence.

This is a massive hub to all North American flights and we had a 2-hour transit stop here on our destination. You can navigate through the terminals easily and you’ll pass by many food and drinks options options on your way. You can also find United and American Airline lounges for more private dining options (of course you need to be a member to enter).
The airport is clean and organized. There are many seats, charging stations and lounge areas to rest and wait for your flight.

O'Hare International Airport is one of the busiest and most well-known airports, with a wide range of flight options and connections. That also makes it not the best place to fly in and out if.
Though it has various amenities, including dining and shopping, the layout is not great confusing, with long walking distances between terminals.
While the airport was functional, navigating through it was a bit stressful.
It was a mixed experience for me.

Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is one of the busiest airports in the world, and it certainly lives up to its reputation with a wide range of amenities, efficient operations, and a modern infrastructure. The airport is well-connected, making it a major hub for both domestic and international flights.
The terminals are spacious and generally clean, though they can get quite crowded, especially during peak travel times. Signage is clear, and getting around is relatively easy, but you might still need to allow extra time for transfers between terminals, as O'Hare is large and spread out.
The dining options at O'Hare are diverse, offering something for everyone, from quick grab-and-go meals to sit-down restaurants. Whether you're in the mood for local Chicago cuisine or international flavours, you'll find a good variety of food options. The airport also features a range of shopping outlets, including duty-free stores, luxury brands, and convenience shops, allowing travellers to pass time while waiting for flights.
Security lines can be long, particularly during busy periods, but the staff generally handle the crowds efficiently. The airport also offers various lounges, including airline-specific ones and independent options, which can provide a quieter and more comfortable space to relax.
On the downside, due to the high volume of traffic, delays are not uncommon, especially during winter when weather conditions can severely impact schedules. However, the airport staff are typically responsive and work hard to minimize disruption.
Overall, Chicago O'Hare International Airport provides a robust and efficient travel experience with plenty of amenities, though its size and traffic can sometimes make for a hectic journey.

O’Hare is a major hub with extensive destinations, making it great for connecting flights. However, the airport is showing its age, with some terminals, like Terminal 3, lacking amenities and looking dated. While it was recently cleaned up for the Democratic Convention, cleanliness and safety can be concerns. Despite these issues, O’Hare remains a top airport for its connectivity. Check out my photos for tips on navigating the airport.

Very busy but nice airport. Had a shelter in place for a tornado warning in the area. Seemed chaotic but the employees kept everyone safe. Easy to access throughout airport. USO that was in terminal 2 was awesome!
