Couple years ago I went to this hotel with my family and it was wonderful. This weekend my family went for vacation and I recommend this hotel. As we went this previous weekend we were honestly so disappointed. You do not feel safe. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Mostly for a family vacation. I expected for my family and kids to enjoy the trip and they were so excited for the pool area. As we seen the pool area we left, towels were thrown everywhere and it just smelled like pure weed. It is not a place I would love to take my kids to. No housekeeping, the rooms were dirty. No towels. There is signs that says “No smoking” yet every corner you turn, you smell weed. It was so disappointed that I recommend this hotel when it is now terrible.
This hotel wasn't so great. First off, it need to be updated inside and out. The rooms itself wasn't in the best condition. Customer service was very rude and unprofessional. It was hard to even get wash cloths and towels. Would have given them 1 star but the food was really good. Other than that nothing great about this hotel. Will not stay here again.
Stay away from this hotel.
1. Rooms are not soundproof. Train whistles, airplanes, spring break guests running up and down the halls.
2. A new room was requested. That was two hours ago. Manager has yet to follow-up.
3. As a Hilton member one expects better service.
4. I will never recommend this hotel nor stay here again.
Have the front desk staff trained in more than just checking in. Also staff the front desk with more than just 1 person in a busy check in and check out day. It took more than 30mins to do both.
Employees need customer service training by acknowledging while they are waiting in line and maintenance crew needs it also.
Rooms needs to be upgraded badly!
Entrance of hotel needs more signage and direction on how to get into the property.
Can hear the train whistle at 4am and it went on seems like every hour so ask for the rooms on the left side of the property, maybe you can’t hear it there!
I was in Miami for work and had a room booked here by a coworker. Overall it was a good experience. Has a pool area with a hot tub and big patio. Also a bar that serves food. It was ok and served it's purpose if you didn't feel like going out. The breakfast at the hotel was good. They have omelets made to your liking with sausage, bacon, pancakes, etc. From there they have normal cont breakfast items. Was there during spring break so it was pretty packed and not normally so busy, so said my coworker. Masks were worn pretty much everywhere indoors in the common areas. They also offer shuttles to and from the airport. I had to utilize it for the ride out on my departure. I'd stay here again.
I’m a Hilton silver member. Reserved a non-smoking room for a work trip. Was told only smoking rooms were available. Of course it reeks of smoke. Embassy suites is a good brand but I can’t believe they would mess up a reservation like this
Nice hotel for the price and great breakfast. Excellent customer service provided by Mateo, he’s so incredibly accommodating and provides great customer service. He was so nice in listening and helping out not just myself but also multiple other customers ahead of me.
We used Embassy for airport parking. We had previously reserved parking and paid when dropping the car off. Upon returning, with no attendant at the gated exit, it wasn't clear how to exit since I only had a hang tag with only text on it and hand written "paid". I asked the front desk clerk and she said to just press the button. The only button to press was the intercom and no one answered. Fortunately the bus driver saw us struggling and opened the gate with his key card. I still don't know how to exit properly.
You can hear and feel every plane every couple of minutes. All through the night. Rooms haven't been renovated in decades. Sink pipes were missing. Baseboards were pulling away from the wall. One whole curtain panel was missing. Almost forgot to mention the trains that passed through every hour. Choose a Motel 6. You'll be happier with your accommodations. One positive: first floor has been nicely renovated so I assume the conference facilities are nice.
One of the dirtiest rooms I've ever experienced. Stains on the furniture. Holes in the arm of the couch. Was prepared to have breakfast that didn't start until 7:30. Was NOT prepared for no hot water for my shower in the morning.
It was convenient to the airport and the shuttle driver was prompt and very courteous.
The attitude of the employees is not normal for Hilton properties. They are all expecting you to realize they are giving you an opportunity to stay here.
The hotel is old and not in line with any other embassy.
The television is just the best example I could find. Welcome to 2007.
My new favorite hotel when I visit Miami. Rox was amazing. Best customer service. Don't listen to the other reviews, I stayed in 2 different rooms add they were both clean and comfortable.
I have been in many motels, suites, hotels in US. This is the worst experience I had. The rooms are filthy. They have stinking smell. The coach has stains on it. The pipes make sound, I hear water when my neighbors flush. The beds very old. Totally all the appliances and furniture are very old. Being operated by Hilton and maintaining in this way is disgusting. Not recommend, paying 250$ per night is worthless.
Very few towels in the bathroom, no covers for the pull out sofa, bathroom room was very out dated,
The ac vents where very dirty, and I was unable to reach anyone at the front desk when I needed to get covers and additional towels. Not worth the price I paid... Very frustrated!
This place is really convenient to the Miami Airport which makes staying here perfect if you have an early flight in the morning or a late arrival. They advertise a 24 hour shuttle. Yet with covid those hours are reduced. Please contact hotel directly to get updated info. Staff was friendly and the food was good for a hotel restaurant as well.
My review is not based on my stay since I didn't. It's based on the service I dealt with, the lobby, the store, the cafe Alfred in the lobby. The hotel decor is very artsy with swerving back side of chairs in the cafe, concrete walls and interesting furniture designs for the lobby. Service was friendly and greeted well as soon as we arrived. Pool and Openaire restaurant is on second floor.
We unfortunately did not take advantage of the restaurant which I now regret but we sure did order room service every day! They deliver your food covered and wrapped in a towel, true Korean style and its adorable. I had the best croissant and fruit for breakfast on our last morning.
DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!! If I could give this MOTEL -10 Stars I would. I normally book with Hilton Hotels and decided I’d give Embassy Suites by Hilton a try & it was the worst decision ever. I booked for 5 days in a king suite and upon arrival there was not a sanitation seal on my door showing my room had been sanitized. The bathroom had one towel and no wash cloth. When I saw housekeeping on my floor I asked for extra towels, wash cloths and bed sheets I was told only one person was doing laundry today and to notify the front desk. The living room tv cut on/off I notified front desk and was told somebody would be by in the morning at 7am to check out the tv (nobody ever came). The comforter in the bedroom had cigarette holes in it. The sheets on the pull out couch had stains on them. The refrigerator did not get cold. At this point I asked if my room could be change b/c of how unsatisfied I was. I notified guest services and was told all of there rooms were the same so basically there was no point in moving. I was also told I could only be compensated by having parking removed off of my bill. When I got my bill at check out it was the same price that I was being charged from the beginning. Hilton should remove there name from off of Embassy Suites by Hilton b/c it gives them a bad name unless they want to own a Motel because that’s definitely what it is.
SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL!!!!!!
I've stayed in motels that were better kept. The pipes were so noisy I could hear when the neighbors flushed.. There were cobwebs on the walls.. The plate on the shower was missing.. And the pillows offered no neck support.. The only bright spot was that the quality of breakfast has remained.. And the safety measures were good..
Terrible, had to wait 2 days to get clean towels. Carpet smell, mold on the a/c area none if the room phones worked. Got move to a supposedly Presidential Suite as a Diamond member and it was same room different floor. A/C not working, bathroom sink not working and last microwave wasn't working either. There for 1 week, my trip was Bussiness and definitely not a Hilton standard that I am used too. Will never stay again. By the way, as you can see on the picture a car freshener on the fire extinguisher?
In room 414. Mold and mildew. We checked in and carpets by the window are soaking wet. Bottom of window/glass door is moldy. The water must be coming in from there. The smell is horrible. We can’t wait to leave in the morning. Thankful we have been out most of the time. We called about the carpet and smell. They was going to send someone up to dry it. Just never-mind because how do you dry mold and mildew. Wouldn’t just offer us another room. The lobby does not match the rooms. When you walk in the hotel you think you are getting a nice hotel. Rooms are disgusting and outdated. Looks like an old La Quinta hotel.
My experience was rated a 1 our of 10. Called for early check-in when we arrived it would have been a charge of 75.00 dollars per room. I was never had to have an extra hold on my card is that an African American thing. I requested room service 1 day out of 5 to arrive back after a day of touring Miami too rooms not clean after 700 pm for the front desk and the(rude room checkers)to tell me they where so busy and my rooms where not on the list to be clean. So i was offered sheets to make the beds because we had removed the sheets really. I( was offered a discount on ! night I just want them to know its not all about the money) asked for the Hotel Manager which I never got. After one of the ladies at the front desk remembered I did request the rooms to be cleaned , it was cleaned.
The suit my family stayed in was the worse room I have ever seen. The couch and beds were disgusting. The room was so dirty that we asked to be moved to another room. They moved us hoping it would be better then that one, but it was not. It’s was still not clean there were stains and marks on everything. I will never bring my family to this place again. I was so disappointed in how dirty they kept there rooms. I wouldn’t recommend anyone ever to go to this place. The worse experience I’ve ever had.
I had a premium suite and it was a lovely room and clean . Only complaints I have is not being told about daily parking until we got there, the toilet being stomped up the entire time we were there , and the tv was small compared to other embassy suites I have been too. The staff were nice and friendly and brought everything we needed. The premium suite was clean as well and it was spacious.
This hotel is one of the biggest hotels in town. Their rooms are spacious and clean. It has also access to the mall so it is very convenient to get anything that you need like food, groceries, and coffee. The lobby lounge has also good ambiance if you just want to relax have coffee. All in all. it was a good stay. Highly recommended
Place is filthy. It looks pretty on the outside but the rooms are nasty. Unacceptable. Definitely not covid approved. Be safe choose somewhere else.
Love this place except the Air Conditioner barely works in the rooms. If im paying for a hotel in miami i should be able to adjust the ac instead of just turning it on or off. Come on Hilton fix that please i still love you guys by the way.
Night auditor, was above standards of customer service. Great attitude, and made my check in seemless.
Possibly the most disturbing lodging we've ever had. When you hear Hilton you automatically assume it will be a better hotel but this was definitely not the case here. The room was musty and dirty with large stains on the sofa and chair. I had medication that needed to be refrigerated and the stench in the room refrigerator was horrible. Do not recommend! The people who monitor these franchises most definitely need to come inspect soon.
About there surveillance they stole
I stayed several times and I had never had such a bad experience.
A day after My first night stay the damage and stole From my vehicle and 2 days later I overheard another guest complaint about the same exact scenario very upsetting after trying to come to a place to relax.
The hotel apologize and adjusted my bill to try to make me happy but I had to spend close to 600 to fix the damages this was way over what they credit. I don’t feel safe at this hotel and I feel the security are
Involve with the breaking in vehicle. Be aware before you park . Will never stay here again so sad it used to be a great
This was by far the worst hotel ive ever stayed at. When we first arrived the front desk lady was rude while checking us in, i had to have my friend finish checking in. We asked for bags and they never brought any so we had to go downstairs to ask for some and they gave us the wrong kind. They took hours to bring towels and wash rags. Housekeeping took our comforter and left us with just sheets!! There was a bunch of people having family reunions and parties at the pool every night so we couldn't enjoy the hot tub. The pool was dirty and seemed like it never got cleaned & oh my gosh a false fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. I couldn't sleep for hours after that. Terrible, i will never stay here again.
The negative comments on here are all lies smh. I stayed at the embassy many times and it was never dirty. Very clean beautiful hotel. The staff are very friendly . The rooms are amazing. I have never seen garbage in the halls at all. The pool is beautiful. The lobby is beautiful. Best hotel I've seen. Please post honest comments on here. Its not fair to potential customers.
Great hotel near the airport. When we were there, they had a social every night where we would get free drinks and snacks. It is a bit outdated but that's fine. The service was phenomenal and that's all that really matters.
If you are going to pick a hotel near a lot of the sites in Miami and with a great staff that cares about you, this is it! I spent 7 months at this hotel and the hotel staff ensured that I felt like I was at home the entire time. The personnel at the front desk will do everything they can to ensure that you enjoy your stay and the housekeeping staff will ensure your room is cleaned and stocked with towels and wash cloths on a regular basis. (Don't forget to tip the housekeeping staff. Some of you leave your rooms a mess and they have to clean up after your dirty mess so the least you can do is tip them. While you are leaving a tip, leave them a nice thank you note and don't be surprised if they write you one back because they are nice like that.) The free breakfast in the morning is amazing and the drinks in the evening will make for a great start to your evening plans. (Again, don't forget to tip those that are pouring your drinks. The drinks are free so you can spare a few dollars for tips.) I would leave the hotel through the pool area on some mornings and I can tell you that the pool and hot tub are well maintained so enjoy the pool and hot tub knowing that you are swimming in clean water. The maintenance personnel will ensure that anything that is broken in your room is taken care of quickly so if you find something wrong with your room, just ask to have it taken care of, no reason to be rude about it. With all of that, I would like to give a huge THANK YOU to all of the staff at Embassy Suites by Hilton Miami International Airport! You all are the best!
When we arrived we were told that the room we had originally booked on the hotel’s website was unavailable because they didn’t have very many house keepers and it hadn’t been cleaned, so we checked into a different room. When we turned the shower on in that room, the water would not get hot. Since the water wouldn’t get hot we were relocated to a different room. The 3rd room we were given was EXTREMELY hot and the thermostat read 81. When my daughter got into the shower the next morning the fire alarm went off from the shower steam and hot temperature in the room waking everyone up. I DID NOT enjoy my stay.
Brian is really nice and accommodating. The breakfast was really good and decent considering covid restrictions. Rooms are big with a great view of. It’s and airport.
I left a bag of clothes and was told no bag was found although it’s the only place it can be. Marcia is extremely rude and abrasive. She’s non helpful and I feel my bag was stolen or thrown away since I’ve been giving the runaround. Story still developing....
Clean, well appointed suites. Very convenient airport shuttle 24/7. Breakfast buffet and happy hour are free. Very little vegan food in restaurant, but otherwise it has everything we needed and we will stay there again.
Clean, well appointed suites. Very convenient airport shuttle 25/7. Breakfast buffet and happy hour are free. Very little vegan food in restaurant, but otherwise it has everything we needed and we will stay there again.
Had good service. The are not many places to eat a evening meal only one. If you wish you are able to go to the restaurants around the area. They do provide a shuttle service. The breakfast was very good
It's self service.
This hotel is great! The decore is very contemporary and the staff is very friendly & helpful. The restaurant serves good food as well. A couple of outstanding highlights are the evening "Kickback" sessions; which allows you to sit back, relax and enjoy the snacks and free drinks. The other highlight is the delicious, hot, made to order breakfast. This is a great way to start a productive day! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at this hotel. When we return to Miami, we'll definitely be staying here again.
I worked there for a total of 11 years and 4 months. The people I worked with were wonderful. The benefits package is very very good. The volume of work though can be very overwhelming at times.
From the moment we arrived from the airport (Took 3 shuttle buses to finally arrive)to ordering food at their restaurant (Grill 305) is horrible. Costumer service what is that around here? Will update after speaking to management.
Restaurant Manager made it all better with some ice cream for the kids and a discount.
No hot water in some rooms. Malfunctioning items in rooms and some missing toiletries. Front desk tried their best to accomplish a pleasing result with my stay. So much for being a member.
I would like to thank Victor at the front desk for taking care of us at 1am! After being giving the run around by overbooked hotels, Victor saved the night! My hat to you Victor, you are an asset to the company.
Our room was great and breakfast was GREAT!
The staff was very helpful when we asked them if we could park our trailer. Parking was $20 each spot, so we paid $40 in total.
The ground level looks very nice. The pool is outdoor, so we could not use it because the temperature was not high enough:(.
It is located in the middle of industrial are, but we felt that the neighbourhood was relatively safe.
Breakfast was good. The egg station lady is so skillful and experienced.
Well I am a Gold member with Hilton and this hotel needs help. They are very under staffed at the front desk. The person there was working hard but only so much one person can do.
No one answers the phone. Tried room service, front desk and no one answers the phone. Not good for customer service.
The rooms need to be renovated. Looks like they have not been touched since the '70s. The lobby has been remodeled but nothing else.
The breakfast was cold. If they want to do buffet style that's all in well, but keep the food warm at least.
This could be a great place to stay it just needs help.
The room was as clean as you can get a 1970s hotel room and the TVs need to be updated to at least the 2000s vintage.
Come on Hilton, you Can Do Better.
I booked and prepaid for our room in March for one night prior to a cruise. We waited 90 minutes to check in and I was the only the 4th person in line. One guest took one hour to check in and the clerk left the desk 4 times in the process of checking them in. The hotel was oversold and even with the Orange Bowl in a couple of days the hotel didn’t staff up. Our room was dated and a carpet dryer was left in the room. We requested a double bed but received a king. Then again we were happy just to get a room. Definitely won’t be staying here again in the future.
I would say this hotel is mediocre at best. The hotel is similar to other embassy suites that we have stayed in, but looks a bit old and run down.
When we first walked into the room there was a sort of unpleasant musk. The breakfast was closed early and horribly crowded. Many guests complained.
Then there’s the elevators. 2/5 were shut down, and it was hard to get up to our room with the crowds waiting for the elevators. Once we were in the elevator and it got stuck between floors for a few minutes. Once we got out, the staff mocked everyone in the elevator for being frightened, like this was a regular occurrence.
The parking is outrageously expensive and not particularly convenient, as it is hard to find a spot.
We have a family of 6, so we used the pull out couch which is one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever encountered. Overall, not great.
Location location location. And this hotel has it, or at least it is centrally located in Miami. Close to downtown, Everglades and zoo. Rooms are typical embassy suites. You can hear a train whistle on one side of the hotel so we had to move. Staff was super friendly and helpful.
Very friendly staff beginning with the reception and every one throughout our stay. Older 2 bedroom suite, but very clean. Excellent cocktail hour with all free drinks and snacks. Constantly replenished. Amazing breakfast buffet and made to order omelets. Their "PARK AND GO" program is ideal and the best price for anyone flying out of Miami Airport - only 8 minutes by shuttle - or going on a cruise. We certainly will be back. Thank you for the outstanding experience!
This is a nice place. Happy hour is great. Breakfast is great. It looks like they remodeled the atrium, however, I don't think the rooms have been upgraded in a while. Everyone is nice and our group had no problems here. However, for the money you pay, the place should be a bit nicer, hence the 3 stars.
I love staying at the Embassy Suites but this one didn't live up to their reputation especially being at the airport. The staff was extremely nice and very helpful and the lobby is beautiful. But the hotel rooms are very outdated. The sofa bed in our room was very old and the pillows were torn/shredded and smelled like mildew. There was an air freshener plug in the vent which I'm assuming was to try to cover the moldy, mildew smell. My parent's bathroom smelled of old urine even though the room had just been cleaned. The doorknob on the room next door to ours was falling apart when the door was opened. Luckily we were only there overnight in order to be ready for our cruise the next morning. Breakfast was good but very chaotic & unorganized compared to other Embassy Suites hotels when it came to the meal tickets. There was no way for the staff to know who was really staying at the hotel. She walked around asking for the tickets after people were already seated or were in line for the omelet station. Overall the price was cheap for our overnight stay but unless it's completely renovated we won't be back for an extended period.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week and we enjoyed it. The location was very conveniently close to every place we wanted to visit. The room was big, clean, and felt comfortable. Breakfast and happy hour were great. I highly recommend this hotel.
I found staying at this hotel to be a very pleasant experience. I was here for a couple days for a work meeting. The hotel has a great breakfast and the staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs, even helping me look for a lost item. If my travels take me back to this area, I'll look forward to staying here again.
The staff does a lot for this hotels rating, as they are personable and very helpful. The hotel itself has a nicely renovated lobby and good restaurant/bar but the rooms need a major facelift... If it weren't for the staff this would be 2 or 3 stars at best.
My husband loves this hotel! He appreciates Brian (I hope I got his name right) and the housekeeping staff very much! We stay here quite Often! Out of the majority of the Hilton properties in Miami, he enjoys Embassy’s hotel, location and most of all their breakfast! Lol! The gentleman who checked us in was amazing! I didn’t catch his name but his interaction with my 2 year old was super sweet and very much appreciated!! In my property we focus in forming a bond with our guest! We try to ensure to make our hotel their home away from home and it’s evident Embassy suite has the same value as we do! Thank you for that!
Embassy suites MIA is located just around the corner from the airport, MIA, and run a shuttle every half hour back and forth from the airport. There is plenty of parking at the hotel, however they charge you $21 a day which is extortionate! Baring that it is a well located hotel for the airport, and they have a nice lobby and atrium, with a nice gym and an outdoor pool. They also run a manager's reception between 5.30pm and 7.30pm with snacks and drinks which is great. The rooms are a good size but could do with an update as they are showing age. Another drawback is that it is right on the flight path and the train line which both are noisy. Overall a good hotel at the airport though
The only reason that I give them 3 stars is not to have a separate and individual way to access the swimming pool! It’s very DISGUSTING to see shoeless and topless people wrapped in the towels without any flip flops walking in the lobby and dripping water everywhere. Imagine you are sitting in the lobby enjoying the atmosphere then see wet footprints everywhere!!! They must rather find a new hallway or put some strict rules for guests to dress up appropriately after swimming!!!
Its okay. Its nothing fancy about it. The lady at the bar is awesome and very nice. We had a great time visiting and just having fun. I enjoyed myself and the room are big and spacious. We had 4 people in one room. Two beds and sofa bed....can’t beat the price.
Embassy suites by Hilton, has a great name. You arrive at the door and are greeted by the pleasant scenery and smell. Past the entrance is a most beautiful water fountain. At this point im well pleased. But that's where it stops. I am very disappointed, in the customer service - I had to call twice for an extra towels and I seemed to be bothering the front desk with my requests. The cleanliness - where are the cleaning products and vacuum on the maids carts? Why is my room not cleaned till after 5pm everyday? Are the sheets changed at check out? If you looking for a great experience, I recommend staying somewhere else.
When we stayed there was an elevator down and construction at the front entrance. The rooms are unique, not very modern but provide plenty of space between the living room area and bedroom. The bed was comfortable enough and the room served it's purpose. Nicely situated near the airport and shuttle service is provided. Customer service was good.
I enjoyed my stay here. The rooms were not the most updated but they were CLEAN!! The breakfast was great. We wanted to check in early so we put our name on the waiting list and we had a room by 1pm on the top floor just as I requested. FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE IS ALWAYS A PLUS!! 3 minor issues with this hotel. First, the front desk needs some help. Every time I went to it only 2 people were working but the line was long. Customer service was great though. Second the elevators are tiny. Third I was very confused about if this hotel was smoking or not. Outside of every room it’s says no smoking but online it gives you the option for a smoking room. All in all I would definitely stay again.
