This location is far from embassy suites standards. Looks more like a low budget hotel chain. Concrete stairs chipped and cracked. One elevator broken. A/C can't cool room. Room is dated, wallpaper is bubbled and peeling, furniture worn, and ALL corners are dirty.
I wrote a long review and wonder where it is!! Long story short. Staff is wonderful. Especially Kelly who works front desk. I was severely over charged and hidden fees also charged to account. $2500+ later wouldn't think that would happen especially by Hilton. The Accounts staff member Katie and I came to an agreeable amount to be reimbursed. It has been 3 days later and still NOTHING reimbursed!! Keep you updated on all details according my overcharging & untimely reimbursement. Stay tuned....
We loved our stay and can't wait to return! The staff was great, the shuttle bus was extremely convenient and happy hour is awesome.
Not sure if its different because of Covid, but there are some Embassy Suites still doing breakfast and evening reception, and some like this one are not. Maybe its a state by state thing.at any rate, this is an exterior corridor that could use a few upgrades but still not bad.
Great place to relax in complete comfort pool a bunch of shade.. The only thing that I'm really upset about is that Jerry's Dinner is no longer there 😠😠
Nope. I wouldn't stay again. I only lasted 3 days on a 2 week work trip.
They only good thing is the pool is outside, AC is horrible, staff laughs at you if you complain about anything, needs renovated and smells like cigarettes in every room.
Staff was very nice and helpful. Everyone had masks and social distance. 😁
Absolutely the worst experience of my life. Two different rooms where the ac did not work. The temperature just kept rising. When I mentioned how much colder it was in the lobby the receptionist laughed at me. I decided to take a cold shower and absolutely no water. Cancel my membership. I will never stay with you again.
Personally I love coming to embassy suites. This one was OKAY. I honestly feel like renovations need to be done. The rooms were kind of clean it definitely was done quickly. The bed was very comfortable. The elevators were very small compared to other embassy suites I've been to. Overall not a bad place to stay but if you've been to other Embassy Suites you will see what I mean.
What a nice place to stay! The lobby was nice and clean. The breakfast area was large. There were several kitchen staff members constantly monitoring the breakfast items and I really admire that. all of the staves were also very helpful and professional. I am very happy, so I decided to make a review for you. I should highly recommend your Hotel to everyone!
This place is usually great, but we were there this weekend, and it wasn't. The dine in breakfast was gone, but the price of the room was still the same. The air was not working which made the stay really uncomfortable. Pool was still open though. They did provide 2 fans for us, which helped a little. Staff was on point as usual......the room just wasn't this time around
The front dest lady Kelly was an amazing woman perfect host!! Everything was great but our ac didn't work to well could use work would I recommend this hotel yes if the get the AC running cooler
Nice place. Breakfast was great. Those cooks do a great job, aswell as the staff. Very nice. Rooms were good. I will definitely stay again.
Beautiful courtyard - Unique uplighting, beautiful pool and landscaping. One of the best happy hours and a top notch cooked to order breakfast.
Rooms are great. Pool, restaurant and exercise room are fine (but could use a refresher).
The staff is wonderful and make up for the tad enhancements the facility could get.
Even though my Uber driver let me down, the shuttle driver did not! Just for that reason, this is a 5-star review.
The building is really cool and the landscaping and pool are beautiful and well kept. There aren't indoor hallways, the doors to the rooms are directly outside, which is kinda cool since it's so hot most of the time anyway. The first room they put us in smelled like smoke, so I asked for another room, and honestly the service here wasn't that great. She seemed confused that the room smelled like smoke since they're all non-smoking, until she remembered that people take their smoking breaks right next to that room... Don't take room 104. The room they moved us to was fine. Again though, service not great. Check out is at noon and at 10 the laundry guy knocked on our door to see if we were checking out soon... But the hotel as a place is beautiful.
This is an embarrassment to the Hilton and embassy suites brand. Smoking is a free for all. People smoke in the staircases and there are ashtrays at all the tables near the pool which is the center courtyard, as well as the tables outside the lounge, indicating they encourage it. So much for fresh air. It's a dicey area so even though there are sidewalks many establishments nearby have metal grates over their doors/windows. I was suggested not to go walking along the canal after dark as there's a large homeless population. The staff are the redeeming factor. Every single one was kind and obviously do a great job despite the property they have to work. Not modern rooms. Tiny bathroom. Sink outside the bathroom. Plenty of other hotels, choose one of them instead.
**** BED BUGS!!! ****
I had a horrible experience at this hotel. They have bed bugs and THEY KNOW IT. The customer service has been terrible. Management promise to make it right and give me compensation and now they’re not returning my phone calls.
Shower pressure was horrible in both rooms we stayed.Tv kept turning off by its self every 30 mins in 1st room and second room had broken shower handle but was so tired of changing rooms I dealt with it but front desk said they would fix it but never happened. Also changing thermostat to 80 deg did not make heat come on,still blew cold air. Breakfast was awesome and bar was awesome but other than that can not give a good rating
Very helpful friendly staff. We even checked in at 2 am. This is a very nice place we come to few times a year. This time was just gals weekend. Great room service hot food. Breakfast fresh always and happy hour Happy
Big, clean rooms with a living room and kitchen attached. Perfectly located for quick access to the airport or a great concert at Celebrity Theatre. Lots of restaurants nearby also. Secure property and grounds.
Dirty and out dated. Rough area with few safe walkable food options. Twin beds in the rooms. TV is hit or miss and ancient. Gym was depressing. Shower was gross. Ice machine broken. How is this place a Hilton? Stay away.
I can't believe Hilton allows this place to have their name on it. Furniture seems like it was new in the 70s, soft goods (towels, sheets, etc.) seem new but one level down from what I typically expect in an embassy suites, but biggest issue is the HVAC.
Room was 78 inside. AC no help. Front desk said HVAC was in "neutral" setting building wide, where neither AC nor heat works because building is too old for rooms to have individual control. Why they use the neutral option instead of letting some guests get what they want is beyond me. Facilities came up to remove the bolts that kept the sliding door shut, so I can get outside air, but now also get the lights from building next door.
Staff seems professional, but ownership is letting them down by not upgrading the property. Would never stay here, again. Too many nicer options nearby.
One of the best place in the city. Guest liked the large room and appreciated the friendly, professional staff. I loved this place !!
Overall great experience , yes the building is old and problematic doors not closing all the way and not really able to control the ac unit but things that ate easily fixing by great staff. Also has security over night conducting regular patrols. Constantly moving insuring the safety of guest vehicles and guest in general.
Would never go to any other suites inn or hotel. This embassy is the full package. They have happy hour from 530pm to 7pm everyday and full service breakfast that will satisfy all the morning needs. They make you feel at home right when you walk in till the last step out the front after check out.
Better than we expected. Aging property that could use some freshening. Cocktail hour was a nice touch. Made to order breakfast looked good if you don't mind waiting in line. Buffet for those who do mind. Large room. Overall not fancy but good at the price. Dunkin Donuts across the street.
An older hotel but nice. A bit dated items are made up for with huge rooms with bedroom, living area and kitchen. It is built like a fort with the pool in the middle. Perks like free happy hour in their restaurant on the top floor. But the reason I have booked here more than once is for the free hot breakfast cooked to order. Im drawing a blank on the cook's name but he is excellent and makes what you want right in front of you... or there is also a breakfast bar. He is very friendly and energetic for someone up working at the crack of dawn. I wish I could remember his name because he deserves a raise. My only disclaimer is check the perks for yourself as I am not sure if this is specific for my business travels or for everyone who books there...but it would be worth paying for too in my opinion.
We had our wedding here just a little over a week ago.
Owen, the event's coordinator we worked with, was amazing.
This is an older hotel, but everything turned out absolutely beautiful. The pricing was also significantly more reasonable than many of the other venues we looked at, which trust me was a lot.
The staff was kind and catered to every request I had. They worked tirelessly to make sure our day was perfect.
The chef was very kind and made sure to not only introduce himself during the taste testing but also to come personally congratulate us after dinner at the reception. Everything by the way tasted fantastic. We received so many compliments regarding the food.
The room for both the reception and ceremony were set up meticulously and were absolutely beautiful. There were also many places for beautiful photo opportunities.
As for Owen, he was amazing. He kept in constant contact and despite my wedding falling on his birthday weekend he was there all day making sure everything was perfect.
Everything I asked of him was taken care of like magic, sometimes before I even asked.
If you are getting married and looking for a one stop shop that will dedicate themselves to making your day perfect, this is the place for you.
The staff was so very helpful and did everything to hello make our stay as comfortable as possible. I suffered a very bad fall and could hardly walk. Upon check in the front desk gal saw my condition and brought a wheelchair, set us up in a room very close to the parking lot, helped me to my room, the bell man brought our luggage from our vehicle, desk clerk brought me ice, an ice pack, and helped us throughout our stay! I highly recommend this hotel. The food is great, the atmosphere is welcoming. Thank you Embassy Suites.
Easy to get too, customer service is amazing!!!! Kelly did a fantastic job of taking care of my concerns that I had. The 1000 point program they have for conservation was a welcome change.
The one star rating is for the nice staff. To make it clear, NO ISSUES with the wonderful help I received. It is missing four stars due to cleanliness of the rooms. As soon as I walked in, my nonsmoking room smelt like smoke. Asked for another room, was happy, got to my new room and immediately started sneezing. I found mold in the bathroom, hair on the ceiling, the tub was stopped, light switch panel is broken. I really don’t think I stayed at the same hotel that these other reviewers stayed at. I did not feel comfortable here whatsoever.
What a great Hotel! Service was really incredible. They strive for cleanliness here. Our room is a little bit outdated however the clean part makes up for it. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is incredible they make any type of egg for you. Omelettes are delicious along with the French toast pastries fresh fruit and many other amenities. On the 5th floor they have a restaurant. We had a great time up there. They serve free drinks and appetizers from 5:30 to 7:30 absolutely a two hour happy hour. Now we received another bill on my credit card for parking. You've got to be kidding me.
Our stay has been great . The staff has been great, the service great and we love the breakfasts and the Squaw Peak Cafe. We really like the front desk staff and Jim, Andy & Anthony in the cafe. My husband had open heart surgery at Abrazo Heart on 6/11 & is still there & that is why we are here. They gave us a great rate because of that. Then last night, 6/22/19, they had a private pool party. There were a lot of people here for it. They took all the parking spaces, they played loud inappropriate music & most of the women wore very little clothing consisting of thongs & fishnet cover ups. I felt that we were at an adult X-rated strip club. It was not appropriate at a family oriented hotel. Some of the other regular guests had small children with them. The smell of pot was very heavy & there were 2 police officers here that did nothing about it. I feel this party was in very bad taste for a Hilton property. I felt really bad for the guests that had small children with them. We talked with another couple & they had their grandson there until that day and they were glad they had taken him home.
