Not bad for the budget. Just don't walk around like a typical tourist at night...it is on Van Buren. Met a beautiful young lady there and wish Eye Gave her my contact info. Now back to the property...the staff is over worked and under paid, the area has economic struggles, it is legal to carry your firearm so do it, and there is a great carniceria 1/2 block away. Great stay of you're not scared of shadows. Don't expect professionalism just enjoy the sun and palm trees.
It was nice hotel I just got off the.train was five hours late and still took me in for. Five straight hours. Then my train ran out of food for coach but I finally got their at my destination late but at least I finally made it here safely this is the only hotel that was willing to help thank you days inn am so grateful I thought I was stuck outside I feel so much lighter.
God is good and all the time he is good.
I tried reaching out to corporate before posting a review, however I had the absolute moat unpleasant, unprofessional and horrible experience I have ever had with a hotel employee. Information was so completely backwards, I was getting texts being told one thing, calling corporate and being told another and then being discriminated against by the actual front desk employee upon arrival. Did not catch her name but she is a middle aged woman with an accent. She tried to charge me $180 MORE than the price of 2 nights room and then actually told me that the rooms all sold out as I was standing there in the lobby, simply because I was questioning the amount when it was not what was agreed upon. I asked multiple times why I was being given different amounts as well as different information to which her response was to call corporate and when I walked outside to do so was when she locked the door. I was left without a room needless to say and had to go elsewhere. Absolutely horrible horrible experience and business practice.
This place in disgusting and the staff is very rude. I called and made a reservation and needed to cancel it the same day and they wouldn't refundy money at all. I wouldn't ever recommend going to any of these hotels in their grouping because I feel as though they are not going to be a customer is always right company and will treat everyone the same Way. I would recommend stay another place before ever returning to any of the locations associated with Wyndham hotels
Very strict about registering your guests... As well as traffic... No coming and going. It's a hotel/motel...A place people go to rest, a place people go for privacy and to just get away or maybe the old fashioned reason..."A VACATION!!!!" LOL 😂
Enjoy your stay... Kick back, spend some quality time with that special someone at "The Days Inn"...
Lovely room. Great breakfast. The only issues we had were the blow-dryer didn't work and the shower handle came off as soon as you turned it on.v
The staff were friendly but not well trained. Our room had the TV on when we entered the room which was strange. The hotel is not a good area of town and police were on the premises when we arrived. The condition of the shelves in the bathroom were terrible if you put anything on them they would have fallen on the floor. The toilet was not working properly. The walls were old and faded. and the baseboard was old and coming out of the walls. The tile was cracked and broken in several spots. I expected a Wyndahm property to be better cared for and have better upkeep. We will never stay at this property again. We hope the main company will evaluate whether this property is up to their standards. The beds were comfortable but the comforter had cigarette burns on them and seemed to be dirty or very old and needs to be replaced.
They tried to upgrade with wood floors and tile around the bathtub. There was a poorly plastered hole made by someone's fist in the bathroom door, not sanded down or repainted. Only 1 towel and 2 hand towels, def not enough for 2 people. Blanket and sheets were clean, but had stains on them. It's close to the airport, but NOT in a good neighborhood. The outside is dirty too. No smoking within 20 feet of your room, so we couldn't figure out why the room smelled of cigarettes. When checking out in the morning, we saw the cleaning lady smoking and figured it out. No bugs. We ordered delivery and didn't see any bugs trying to get to our food. The guys at the check in desk were nice. Oh and there was an outlet with the cover off and wires sticking out of the wall 🙄 the TV was hooked up to the cable wire that was also coming out of that outlet area. Oh and FYI if booking through a 3rd party, there IS a $100 deposit that you have to pay when checking in.
Do not stay here! The hotel doesn’t look like the pictures. The room was not clean there were stains on sheets and some towels, when asked for more, they said they didn’t have any more clean. None of the amenities listed were a available. The vending machine had nothing in it. The shower did not work properly. Made my first night in a new city terrible. No manager to speak with about a refund. Very sad way to try to get a break from my hometown. Please don’t waste your time!!
Pretty ghetto place but its close to the airport. My room smelled like smoke and the room was definitely dated. Over all quality of room was reminiscent of my hotel stays in south america. But for 79$ a night i cant imagine getting too much more
*Purchase in person* Sketchy af!! Slept with the chair against my door. And thank god I had something to put in the window to block it from being opened. 🥴 Room wasn’t swept and mopped, with a funky smell to top it all off. If I wasn’t alone and arrived during the daytime, I would have never stayed. But with people hanging out in the parking and arguing outside your room all night. There was NO WAY I was risking going back outside.
When we arrived at the hotel, we noted that it was an unsafe area. A girl at the desk attempted to book a room, but the attendant informed her that there was a deposit of a hundred dollars, and the room she was booking would not have a TV. Apparently, they had some “repairs”, and there were not any rooms available with TVs. There was a sign indicating that you would automatically lose your deposit if there was law enforcement called to your room. As we booked the room, someone was repeatedly calling the desk, and the attendant threatened to check them out. Additionally, we had to sign a document stating that if there was smoking in the room a fine of 250 dollars would be charged to our room. This is hilarious because upon walking into our room it reeked of cigarettes, and there were even cigarette burns in the comforter. We attempted to get a refund but the room was not refundable. The attendant allowed us to switch rooms. The second room smelled clean. However, the same dirty walls and molding were present. The comforter had several cigarette burns, and stains were present on the sheets. We cut our loses and left. I would give 0/5 stars if possible.
Days Inn was very neat and clean, completely remodeled. The staff were nice and very helpful. The rooms had been sanitized but there is no breakfast. You have to have your coffee in your room. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
Definitely a 3 star motel, but everyone was nice. We walked a half mile down the road for food and passed a prison, so there's that. If you want the shuttle to the airport, they will tell you to request it the day prior, but they either forgot when we told them at check-in(we had an overnight layover) or still had to call the shuttle at 4am to shuttle us to the airport. It only took 5 minutes to n get to us, but just a heads up.
It was quiet and the bed (although not the room I reserved) was comfortable enough, so those are the pluses.
The "just okay" rating is based on the following:
Wrong room assigned (reserved a King, got a double double).
No bath towels (I used a hand towel to dry off after showering and finding out -- should have checked first, but somehow didn't just notice).
No laundry room available (closed for COVID reasons) and needed to do it.
I was told the rate I was paying was because of these things, but I recently stayed elsewhere that cost less and had everything covered fine.
It will work if you need a place to stay and don't want to pay a few dollars more elsewhere.
Did you guys say your rooms is updated?!! Let me show other people your updates!!!
I don’t understand something. Can you explain me that?!! You guys have a hotel in Arizona, days temperatures is around 100F and more from April through October...and you guys didn’t sell water here. Come on, it’s 21st century, but you guys still live in 16th. That’s from me...look the pictures for updates with some old office furniture. What a joke 😂😂😂
I'm a truck driver and I needed a room for one night. Date october 10, 2020 I was giving room 221. Almost immediately I felt like I was getting beaten by something. I assumed it was a mosquito. All night I felt like something was biting me. When I went to take a shower in the morning I noticed my skin bright red full of bites. All down my back, arms, and head.Unbelievable . I will also call the health department because I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. If I could put a zero for a review I would.
It's a ghetto inn. I was bitten by a roach on the bed. Nasty sheets dirty room poorest services. Don't regret after. Look for a better place
Not a good place rude people. Got bit up by bedbugs, termites in room. Dirty place and sheet even dirty. Check my photos.
No batheoom ventilation. No carafe or filters for coffee. Broken fridge. Dirty. No remote. Drug addicts everywhere. People LIVE in these rooms. Unsafe neighborhood. Charge 100 deposit and the rules are ridiculous, you could lose your 100 if you so much as stain a towel. Would not recommend.
Are all right it was in a bad place the restaurant overpriced the rooms are priced good they're nice clean rooms two beds and they're playing this coronavirusno free breakfast in the morning but yet they open for lunch and dinner so that doesn't make any sense or just trying to keep the money from from giving a free breakfast scandalous third world like other than that it's not a bad place to stay
The room was disgusting, there were roaches no hot water, and the bed wasn't made and air didn't work I have stayed here before and the room was nice and clean.
The front counter girl was friendly and helpful. Thst is what the second star is for. There are no cups for the coffee in the room. There is long black hair in the sink and I am bald. I would try to make a wig but not enough hair. The sink faucet is not attached to anything but the water lines. Pictures included.
Where to begin? Made all the appropriate reservations, got to the hoteland told us that we needed $100 deposit for the room, go get the money out of the ATM and come back and they sold the room right out from under me. Had to sleep in my car at a truck-stop in a hundred and ten degree weather in Phoenix Arizona. So I go back the next morning to find out what happened and they confirmed that they did sell the room and so I had wanted to go ahead and keep the reservation so they charged me $40 more almost $50 more for the same reservation I had the previous day. Rooms are disgusting, toilet seat is broken, mold around the bathtub and the baseboards, and to top it all off there are zero amenities but are still charging full price for the rooms!
I definitely not recommend stay here because of the rooms are NOT clean! Beds are dirty with stains n hairs on pillow walls n furniture are not wiped nor disinfected bathrooms are also NOT well cleaned the toilet had urine stains the shower wall was not wiped it was full of shampoo stains n hairlines n full of other dirtyness and also floors are NOT fully swept n mopped I see hair n little crumbs on the floor... everything in the rooms are NOT fully cleaned n sanitized I had to ask the housekeeper to give me some cleaning supplies to clean it n also when i asked the housekeeper that the rooms are not fully cleaned all she said was " what's wrong with the room?" And so I had to ask for cleaning supplies to clean it myself and the price here is very expensive with dirty uncleaned rooms that are not Sanitized...this is NOT a good place to stay nor waste your money on.
This is the most disusting display of false advertisement and lack of communication between the establishment and customers. There was absolutely no warm welcome and severe lack of customer service. The rooms were dirty and stained and the establisgment looked for any and every way to take your deposit. In short the place practices roadside robbery. The windows didnt lock and the plumbing was held together by duct tape.
Customer service needs a little improvement and the check ✔ in time was flexible but still recomend that you arrive about 2:30.
Besides the night attended gave a couple a room key. I had all ready occupied. And the ice machine was broken. There room are 4 star clean. Has hair dryer, iron and ironing board, unstocked mini refrigerator and microwave. And the basic unit furniture. The surroundings you need truly be careful.
Price was great and staff helped us. We stayed over a month though and didn't get our deposit back. We didnt ask for house keeping either and said that the liens would be trash because I'm a female and my menstrual cycle came in the middle of the night.
This gets two stars instead of 0 because the people were good. The room was dirty (I walked around bare foot and when I got in the shower the water turned black.). Sooo much stuff was broken or in disrepair. I just could not recommend this facility.
Decent place to stay. At least my TV worked this time. The big draw back was my coffee maker was missing the tray to put the coffee in. They didn't get it reached for my second night's stay either. That was a big disappointment. Since no breakfast is being served right now, it was more troublesome because I had to stop for coffee on my way in to work.
The worst area to stay the night. The hotel is old, rooms are out dated with most of the light bulbs burned out. The window in the bathroom did not lock. It was over priced, staff was rude and there were people yelling all night. Don’t stay here. Jeff Mullins Photography Adventures. Happy Hiking!❤️
The customer service there is so rude. There was an issue with my fiance's check in, and i called personally to ask questions to find out what happened. She was so dissatisfied with how my fiance handled the situation that she would not let me even ask the question before she started going off on me. All i was trying to do was understand why they wouldn't let him check in if i already pre-paid for the room. I got two words into my question before she started to tell me an answer that didn't even fit the question that i asked. I am not a hot headed person, and i try to always ask questions when i don't understand something and i felt that she handled this horribly.
Location is convenient and close to downtown. All standard amenities available. Clerk at frontdesk behaved as if she is unhappy with her profession. Management is not paying much attention to the upkeep of the area. Gave an unclean look.
Worst room I've ever stayed in!
I'm a trucker on vacation and have stayed in many hotel rooms. This was by far the worst. Night staff was extremely rude and unhelpful! The king bed was sunken in, tons of damage and worst of all no hot water for my shower! Speaking of the shower. The knob was literally broken upon arrival. Had to use my leatherman to turn on the water and it never got above freezing! Worst $110+ dollars I've ever spent and that's with Airline / Wyndham Rewards Discounts! The only positive was how friendly the day staff was. Conclusion: I've stayed in far better for $50 or less.
It was an adventure but the room was safe, clean, comfy and a good price. It was functional. I had an encounter with a cat named Mr. Waffles who was not amused to be travelling with his family but it didnt bother me any. Would recommend.
Stayed here for work and tried to get the Wyndham points added to my card however the ladies at the front desk refused. One lady said “ you shouldn’t worry about it since your work paid for the room!” It’s sad the ladies acted like I did something wrong by requesting my points be added to my card. The company pays and allows the employees to use the points. My company will be getting a heads up about the rude front desk staff at this location.
I arrived at 12 p.m. I was waiting at the airport for a shuttle they booked the room with my credit card over the phone but they could not get ahold of the drivers for the shuttle pick up that came along with the purchase of the room. In the room there was dead bugs under the bed in the bathroom hair from the last individual who stayed there so the room was not clean smudges on the covers they ended up telling me to take a taxi and that they were going to pay for it all I had to do is provide a receipt and from there when I did so they almost tried to dismiss the taxi driver and until we refused to pay them the full amount and they felt guilty so they ended up giving their personal credit card to do so so now the company has to call their employee there was no communication. The room was dirty I was even afraid to eat there so I'm going to eat breakfast at Denny's instead of at Bear free buffet. The neighborhood was quiet no noise no crime but the facility itself was a disappointment I ended up booking appointment at 10 I waited for their shuttle till 12 I was finally told after calling the fourth time that they have to pay for a taxi to get me there but I had to take the taxi and almost try to force me to pay the taxi driver when they told me they would pay. I would not recommend this location to anyone. The guest worker day has been kind it's the institutions that worries me
helpful employees! breakfast could have a little more variety, but other then that. Had a great weekend
the neighborhood looked (interesting) at first but i was delighted with my stay. The young lady @ the front desk was very friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The mini fridge was a nice addition to the room. kept my brews chilled.
excellent stay. easy check in, friendly service. I appreciated the free shuttle to the airport. the hot cup of coffee & the quick grab muffin on my way out of town. Great price for stay. I will be returning.
I gave it a 4 star because I felt it needed a really good cleaning. Beds were comfortable, shower was hot and soft.
Continental breakfast was good but the coffee was not hot.( maybe heating element in the maker is not working right)
DO NOT STAY HERE. If I could give 0 stars I would. My door would not work with any key given (3 different keys each reassigned 2 times) and needed to be escorted to my room each time I needed to get in, they didn't even ask for my ID or anything, just a room number and felt very unsafe. Room was dirty with paint splatters all over and got my suit dirty before I even got to wear it out. Bathroom took 3 flushes to get all of the waste out of it.
Asked for a new room but was told this was not possible and instead a note would be left for the manager and maintenance to fix issues, 2 nights later it wasn't fixed. I left before my reservation was completed because of so many issues that went unresolved, it felt as though everyone just said what I wanted to hear then did nothing to fix it.
We checked in very very late due to a late flight. If I could have recalled that shuttle bus I would have. Our room keys did not work and the desk clerk had to open the room with his master key so be the batteries in the lock were dead...(?). Why?! Sandy bed! A friendly cockroach! A homeless person sleeping on the property. Not a place to older women felt comfortable at all. But at 1:30 am after trains planes and automobiles and shear exhaustion we slept till daybreak and fled the scene.
The photos of this place are very deceiving. Avoid the whole area is possible.
I enjoyed staying here and love what they have done with renovations. The rooms are well maintained and clean; and always a smooth hassle free check-in with paid in full online reservations. Staff is always friendly and by far my favorite location to visit when I can score a smoking deal through Priceline. *Side note don't let what you see in the neighborhood affect your judgement, property is always clean and quiet the 3 times I've stayed here.
Person working at front desk was nice and helpful, however, rooms are not in good condition. Had to change rooms because the sheets in the first room were dirty (did not look like they had been changed--that or not washed very well). I would not recommend staying here unless absolutely necessary.
If all you want is cheap, go here. But that's about all it's got. The room had half of its lights working, the ironing board had the fabric removed, and the blanket had many holes in it from cigarettes. "Breakfast" consisted of your choice of two cereals (the choice I made was totally stale), and some muffins. Area is sketchy. Price is just about the only good thing about this place, but that's not surprising.
WARNING: Even considering the cheap price, it is no worth staying here!!!
Water stopped up in shower
Very dirty shower
TV didn't work
Hotel telephone didn't work
Didn't send shuttle service to airport for pickup
Molten bulb in the room
No waste can in the room
No bottle of water in room
Repeatedly bad customer service attitude at the front desk
Did not have breakfast, they had cereal but no milk
Not a safe area. The guy at the front desk on morning shift was awesome though! I only give this place one star because of the location. I didn't even feel safe outside during the day. Pretty sure someone tried to solicit me at one point.
