Very memorable experience. Stayed only one night, last minute booking for the night before departure flight. I mentally prepared myself for a grungy airport hotel nightmare! Wrong! Total opposite. This is a REALLY NICE hotel in a nice area. I spent the night in the comfiest bed ever away from home. The room was the best laid out for function and convenience I've ever experienced. Lovely upscale complimentary toiletries, better than usual lighting, even. Very early morning airport shuttle was great. I loved it all. Even considered changing my plans just to stay another night in that fantastic room. Only complaint was limited restaurant menu. If you aren't a drinker, there's not much in the way of food.
The hotel is nice and the staff is nice. I depend on the transportation there and that's my biggest issue. I've had to wait an hour plus for the van to pick me up on some occasions. The staff doesn't have the tools necessary to properly dispatch the drivers or find out their current position to calculate wait times, so they make up a wait time and more than half of the time it is incorrect.
Also no microwave in the room or on the floor so you have to go all the way downstairs to heat something up.
The floors are some sort of laminate which is ok but a carpet runner by the bed would be nice.
Also the fan on the air-conditioning can't be made to run constantly which is irritating to me. It doesn't save energy because I just run the air-conditioning cold to get circulated air.
We came in late on a Saturday. The hotel was short staffed. We waited over 30 min for the shuttle to arrive to get us. Mind I called and the shuttle extension rang and rang - 0 to get to the front desk except she was busy. The check-in was fine except there was no food at all other than a lousy vending machine. The actual food you could buy was covered with plastic with out of order ... though it looked very edible to me. The room was nice except I couldn’t sleep because it’s literally 6 feet from the A/C roof top compressors. One of them was making a lot of noise. I’m quite disappointed. The breakfast was $15.00 and the buffet was poor. The staff felt bad and comp’d the breakfast.
Basically one of the worse stays I’ve had in years.
I do not like that the hotel had flight attendants who cussed like sailors from both WestJet and Spirit...not only is it unprofessional but as a result I will never NEVER stay at this hotel again but never fly those 2 airlines as well too...too much of a cluster Chuck to ever want to deal with again...all this happened in the hotel restaurant...seems like these airline people cannot hold their alcohol down
Nice updated rooms. Plenty of outlets to charge devices. I wish every room had its own microwave but there is a community one on the first floor.
Decent hotel. I really wish they had a microwave in the room. Really good location for sky train and airport.
Quick, free shuttle to/from airport every 30 minutes. 5 minute walk to Circle K and light rail station. Reasonably-priced, decent restaurant and bar with local tap beers. Suite room with wood floors. A couple of other restaurants within walking distance.
Hotel shuttle, baggage check, excellent staff, great food. Excellent experience and knowledgeable staff. Appreciative of my stay at the Radisson! Thanks!
Our experience at the Radisson Phoenix was a disaster.
We check in 8/30/19 and were initially impressed by the hotel. We had to be up at 2am the following day and went to bed early. The fire alarm went off at 10pm and we had to evacuate. The staff provided no direction as to when we could go back to our rooms. We assumed it was okay because the emergency response team left.
8/31/19 at 1am I was woken up to an unknown man entering my room. It was terrifying!!! The man informed us that the hotel had given him our room! Then Vanessa from the front desk called our room and answered by saying "who is this". There was no apology for waking us or for the disregard of their guests safety and privacy. I wish I could say this was the worst part of my stay but it wasn't.
9/1 we went down stairs to have breakfast (where the waitress told me I could pour my own OJ because they were short staffed). After breakfast we returned to our room to discover all of our personal items were removed (we had the room reserved for another night). The front desk blamed housekeeping. Housekeeping tried to suggest the man who entered our room the previous night stole it/blamed the front desk. Again no apologies or empathy whatsoever. My tennis shoes were missing and we had hiking plans that day so we waited for our items. After an hour they still weren't able to located them so we decided to continue with our plans minus the hiking. We informed the front desk we weren't going to wait anymore and she told us that she'd tell her manager about what happened. We never heard from a manager.
The whole experience at the Radisson was disappointing. When I go to a hotel I expect basic hospitality and a comfortable and safe stay. Instead their was a lack of concern for our safety/privacy and no acknowledgment of our inconveniences.
Staff very helpful, but they have to pass on the news that the hotel has NO SOAP for their rooms. What no soap???? We need to bring our own?? No one had the idea to run to Costco or something?? Come on!!! Corporate here in the hotel, what are they doing? Before reserving a room ask if they have soap or bring your own, good luck.
Again staff helpful and pleasant but I won’t stay here again!
A very nice room, i can highly recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for something close to the airport.
They have a shuttle bus to PHX every 30 min, that gets you there in no time. The service is outstanding, I wished every hotel was like this!
Had a great stay at the Radisson. It was easy to get to from the airport, had ample parking. The hotel was clean and modern, everything up to date. The rooms were comfortable, got a great nights sleep on the beds. Got a margarita from the hotel bar and hung out by the pool for a little bit. Great experience, would stay here again.
