Stayed here two separate occasions in August. First stay my room was given to someone else and I was upgraded no problem, that was awesome. Ordered room service got their iconic burger medium rare, came well done and was terrible. Made sure to ask before check out if everything was being put on my corporate card and they ensured it was, to layer find out they charged it to my personal card. Called in and in the most customer service way I was told to kick rocks. Second stay, my room had no air conditioning so it was just under 80 degrees in my room. Asked if they could help me out and they put me into another room that smelled and the shower barley worked. Most likely never using this establishment if I need to come back here for work.
Upon arriving to the hotel, my husband and I were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman named Tony. He proceeded to escort us to the front desk. We were then greeted by Kortney who explained to us that the hotel was under construction upgrades. She was so helpful with checking us in and making sure me and my husband had a great stay she even upgraded us to a suite. The suite was very pleasant and probably the best night sleep I've had in a while. Comfy, Cozy, Clean, and Customer Service. The four C's I absolutely love in a hotel stay. I usually never give reveiws, but because of great customer service and the bellman I would highly recommended this place and we will definitely be back.
Nice hotel and great location as well (being close to Airport means airplane noise, so not going to fault the hotel for that). Room was nice, but bathroom lighting should be brighter (very full). Great water pressure and soft linens and towels. Starbucks coffee in the room and downstairs in the lobby. Great continental breakfast, with a build your own omelet bar.
Management and staff were rude. My company hosted an event there and I needed to stay an extra night. They insisted they had no additional rooms but when I check the Marriott app and another travel site both were available. I pointed that out only to be told they were definitely “sold out”. I don’t think they wanted to extend the room rate to me for another night even though my company paid a lot of money between rooms and meeting space/food. My room didn’t have working AC and that’s no fun in Dallas in July. I wouldn’t pay to stay there if I had a choice. Plenty of other hotels in the area will take you money and treat you better
Usually, the Westin would be a 5 Star experience and maybe that's why I ranked it a soft 3 Stars. Or maybe because the staff was phenomenal as always and the bartenders delightful. The room however is another story. The toilet water tank must have had a slow leak, so it was refilling every so often, so not a great night sleep. The shower handle almost came off the wall in the morning, I was concerned that I would not be able to take a shower. It worked after a couple of minutes of messing with it. The hotel was booked so I did not bother with asking for another room. I was in room 404 the night of 7/15/19, please send someone to make the necessary repairs. I was in a real hurry at checkout while on a short break from a meeting.
