The stay itself was good. Transportation however was horrible. We had to stay at the airport terminal waiting for almost 1 1/2 hours, only to have to ride to another terminal for pickup of additional passengers. It's insane. DO NOT USE THE SHUTTLE. It's definitely not a perk staying at this hotel. You will do better staying somewhere else. We stay the Marriott pass by 3 times before our shuttle arrived.
Our stay this past Sunday through yesterday sadly was to attend the funeral services, Monday & Tuesday, of my husband's father.
My mom was able to call Friday & get a reservation for 2 rooms with the hopes of those rooms being adjoining as well as one of the rooms being a handicap accessible room with bathtub. Upon arrival Alex handled our room needs like a pro.
We want to give a huge Thank you & kudos to Alex & Will. Both of these incredible compassionate as well as accommodating front desk specialist did everything to make our stay less stressful as well as made us feel at home.
They both made every effort to make sure they were going to take care of our family through this difficult time while we were staying at now what we call "our Hilton Home."
Thank you Alex & Will for going above & beyond the call, your customer service made us feel like family & being so empathetic to our needs every step of the way...from check in to check out.
These 2 people are not just employees, they both showed us what customer service truly means & made a very sorrowful visit not sad or difficult in any way. Will & Alex Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support of our family through grieving.
Hilton is the place you want to stay at. Period.
Arrived/stayed here for 12 nights/days for work reasons and had a comfortable stay. Couldnt complain at all. The staff were friendly and polite as can be. Not one complaint can be given. Just wished the pool was open but due to the epidemic, I understand.
Our flight home was cancelled and wasn't sure what we would do.
Was able to quickly book a room at a rate that didn't break the bank. There was transportation from the airport provided by the hotel and transportation the next morning at 4:30 AM back to the airport.
The staff, food, and transportation was great. Couldn't have asked for more.
Came on a business trip and was greeted by very friendly staff at the front desk who promptly got our group checked in. We were offered some waters and were updated on some changes that’ve been made for COVID. Breakfast is no longer being served daily in the lobby but can be purchased individually for $8.99 and housekeeping must be requested (to reduce unnecessary interactions for safety).
The room, bathroom, and shower were all immaculate when I arrived, though the mattress definitely leaves something to be desired. It was not exactly what you’d call plush but I also didn’t wake up with any back pain so that’s a plus I guess.
Had a great stay - was not planning to stay in Houston but was forced to find lodging due to a United Airlines flight delay and missing my connecting flight.
The team at the Hilton Garden in was fantastic handling the large number of customers due the number of missed flights that day.
The stay itself was great. The shuttle staff from the airport where amazing. The only co.plaint I had was with the in room food service. The individual who brought the food to the room was rude and literally entered our room without asking. Instead of me signing for it at the door. I felt like she had violated our right to privacy in our room as my husband was comfortable (in his underclothes) and had to cover himself. The house salad I ordered was $8 and it looked like $1.50 worth. Other than that it was okay.
The hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Bed was unusually hard (room 114) and shuttle driver was hostile. Expected some kind of breakfast, even grab and go muffins and fruit but nothing was offered as part of the stay.
We had a terrible day at the Houston airport and ended up having to stay the night here. We were not happy when we arrived, but the front desk was so nice, helpful, and empathized with our situation. There were about 30 other people in the same boat as us. It was a bad airport day. The front desk at the hotel was packed, but the representatives at the front desk had smiles on their faces and provided great customer service. Sasha Sinishtaj was the Manager on duty and she was so great! Her personality was contagious and she made me feel better without even now it. Thanks for a great stay and even better service.
Mark at the front desk working the night shift gave exceptional service! We were very tired arriving after 1am after a hotel debacle at another nearby hotel and Mark quickly and efficiently took care of us. Wonderful employee with a great attitude.
If you are a Hilton person, don't get your expectations up on this property. Interior is ok, but exterior needs help
Trash all over the parking lot. Don't want to hear about last weeks ice storm, was the same last October. No breakfast. Stayed at many HGI's over the last 6 months and they all had cooked to order breakfast. Was charged $5 for an 8oz chocolate milk from the Pantry, so bring your own drinks.
These are facts, not emotion.
If you are someone just looking for a room, you should be good.
If you are a Hilton Honors member, beware.
Not sure if this is a Hilton franchise or corporate property, but if corporate get someone down here ASAP.
Location was great and room was decent, biggest problem was not being advised that there was no running got water or potable water until I arrived and had paid for my reservation. But i had no choice. I was allowed to cancel my reservation so the receptionist was very helpful. Not their fault I was not advised. This was strictly the rewards operator in the philippines that did my reservation.
In the midst of a winter storm in Houston of all places, the front desk staff showed extreme poise and professionalism with intermittent power outages. This meant no key cards, no elevator, so you had to be walked to room. The front desk calls were constantly ringing with questions regarding the power and water as well as alerting everyone there was no availability. The storm also made it difficult for staff to come in, so rooms were slow to be cleaned. Again, the staff kept their composure. Was impressed.
We didn't book a hotel stay here but we did park and shuttle to the airport. The front desk man was very friendly and then we was the one that took us to the airport. It was a very nice hotel inside and would definitely park here again maybe even stay next time.
I love Hilton... This establishment is super clean and deals with travelers like myself... Rooms are clean, staff is polite and willing to help... Parking is absolutely no issue... Very close to the airport and they do drop you off to airport...
Nice little bar area... Due to Covid, very strict protocols... Over all, I find the Hilton Garden Inn brand better the other...
I have stayed at this establishment a few times and enjoy coming back... (Its always for work)...
Me and my family used the Hilton’s airport parking For 5 days while we were on a trip. When we came to pick up our car it had been broken in to with the window knocked out and someone covered it with a tarp. The tool box And glove box was looked threw. AND NO ONE CALLED US to even let us know the car was broken into. And when we spoke to the hotel staff about it they did not care one bit and were not helpful at all. I will never do business with this hotel again. And I do not recommend anyone else using their parking or their hotel. This was completely unacceptable.
After a long exhausting day, I ended up in Houston. The staff were very friendly and prompt. My room was very clean. Although it was only for a night before my next flight. I had a great night sleep!
Great place to stay!!!! Was in Houston area for business and stayed here. Everything from checking in to happy hour to dinner was outstanding. Have not had this service for some time.
Shout out to Will for the best wings I have had in a long time and to Laura for those cold ones!!!!
Everything looks great food great pool and other things to do.. calm peaceful
I had two rooms, both of the tvs in each room did not work both days I stayed. The front desk never told us we need to let them know if we want our room cleaned so our room did not get cleaned. The thermostat in the room didn’t work either. The security gaurd of the hotel harassed my elderly dad while he was smoking outside wanting to know his name, room number and other personal info. The windows are filthy, the pool is filthy. Also they lock the doors at around 9 and the key scanner doesn’t even work so u have to knock and wait for the front desk to come let you in. Very unimpressed with my stay.
Do not stay here they will run your card even if they have their company's card on file and in charge of company and you twice do not stay here they are frauds and Liars going to call the. Up they don't want to take care of it they want you to take care of it and go through your company even though they charged you the rooms are dated they don't even have updated USB ports and the staff is rude when I checked in
Happy to have a room with out dated style & decor, with multiple issues. Slow internet, TV goes in and out and the room have a funky smell.
I have to say the staff is outstanding, definitely a plus.
I did not catch the name of the worker but it was the older back lady with very short gray hair who treated me very unkindly. She worked the morning on September 4, 2020. I had worked out an agreement with another manager and the lady I was speaking with did not trust regarding this situation but she wouldn't listen to a word I had said. An easy solution would be to have called the manager but she did it as a last resort. I was locked out of my hotel room with all my belongings inside so I did not have my ID or phone to call for help. She did not let me use their phone to call my husband whose name the room was under. She was absolutely disgusting and completely unsympathetic to me. I was crying trying to figure out how the heck I'm going to get out of this mess since this lady was clearly not helping me. She tried to charge me over 200$ for my pets and when I agreed to the charge, she took the option away from me. She basically kicked me out because she made up her own rule that was against the agreement I had set with the manager. It really seemed like she just simply did not want me there and that broke my heart. I explained to her my situation and how my home was not liveable due to a natural disaster. She really caused me so much unnecessary stress and tears because she simply couldn't call my husband (room contact person) or the manager. I had to leave the hotel with my pets all on my own in a city im not from because of this pitiful lady. I had 3 hours left until check out to figure out my next move but she decided to end my stay because of my pets right at that moment. I have reported this lady and honestly hope she does not get to work there anymore. She completely broke my heart by making me leave without a plan of action.
Good service. Didn't stay here, just used their parking and airport shuttle service. It was quick and efficient.
Thanks for being super hospitable to me and my crew. From the moment we walked in you guys were very welcoming. Also your van driver was kind too. Just overall great service, thanks for taking care of us in the best way possible during these COVID times.
Hotel was good and appeared near and clean. The room had bed bugs and it appears the staff was aware of it. They quickly moved us to another room. We had to clean out the room ourselves and hopefully didn’t bring any bed bugs back home with us.
Staff was cordial and friendly.
