On-Street Parking
Metered parking is always a good option, but it’s now always easy to find one. Spots are obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend early arrival if you plan to park on a street near the Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center. Most meters in the vicinity have two-hour limits and are enforced from 8 AM to 8 PM. If you come across an available stall, be sure to read the sign carefully to avoid expensive Boston parking tickets or towing.
Accessible Parking
All public parking areas in the neighborhood offer a limited number of ADA parking spaces. Since you cannot reserve an ADA stall ahead of time, you should arrive early to allow enough time to find a convenient spot. You can also use your spare time to check other Back Bay attractions, including Berklee College of Music and vibrant Newbury Street. Note that all parking lots require a disabled parking permit or placard and charge regular rates.
How To Save Money on Parking in Boston
Finding a safe and cheap car parking space in the City of Boston is impossible if you’re not familiar with the area and parking regulations, but that’s where we come in! We singled out a couple of reliable ways to reduce your expenses; check them out.
When searching for a low-cost parking service, pay attention to the following:
- Evening rates
- Weekend discounts
- Holidays
- Early Bird specials
If the event you plan to attend takes place after 4 PM or during a weekend, you can cut your costs significantly. For instance, the Boston Common Garage has a standard daily parking fee of $32, decreasing to $14 on weekends and holidays. If you arrive after 5 PM on a weekday, we suggest that you head to the 126 Dartmouth Street Garage, which offers a $10 evening rate Monday through Friday.
Alternatively, consider reserving one of the personal spots often available on platforms like SpotHero—you can book a space for as low as $10! If your travel plan includes getting a hotel room in the city, find one within walking distance of the center so that you can get free parking.
Use Public Transportation
The venue is located near four subway stations—Hynes Convention Center, Copley, Prudential, and Back Bay— and each is served by either Green Line or Orange Line. The Hynes Convention Center Station is within a 5-minute walk of the venue, while the walk to other stations takes 6 to 10 minutes. The MBTA’s one-way cash fare is $2.40, which is notably cheaper than Hynes Convention Center parking.
