Overview

Last verified: September 15, 2026, against Valet Connections' website, Detroit Metro Airport's official parking pages, the lot's Airport Parking Reservations and Way listings, and ParkingAccess booking data.

Disclosure: ParkingAccess sells reservations for this lot and earns a commission plus a $9.95 service fee on each booking.

Valet Connections is a valet lot at 27299 Wick Rd, Taylor, MI, 2.8 miles straight-line from DTW, with a free 24/7 shuttle. Median ParkingAccess quote: $11.00 a day.

How much does Valet Connections cost next to Detroit Metro Airport's own lots?

Valet Connections prints no daily parking rate on its website; its booking page only quotes the dates you enter. Across 581 ParkingAccess quotes from June 17 to September 15, 2026, the median was $11.00 a day before taxes and fees. DTW's cheapest official lot, the Green Lot, charges $20.00 per 24 hours, and every rate here changes by date.

The 3-day and 7-day columns multiply the daily rate and leave out taxes, the ParkingAccess service fee and the 2.65% fee DTW adds to card payments; the airport prints no effective date. With taxes and fees, the median ParkingAccess quote here came to $13.10 a day.

A 7-day trip is close to the 6.9-day average stay on ParkingAccess bookings for this lot. Over 7 days the base-rate gap is $63.00 against the Green Lot and $280.00 against McNamara valet. Quotes ranged from $11.00 to $22.00 a day, so the highest was double the median.

Car care done while you travel is extra and subject to change: a full-service wash is $25 for a car, an oil change $50, and details $110 to $235. Every DTW garage and off-site lot is compared on the Detroit Metro Airport parking guide.

How does the Valet Connections shuttle reach DTW's McNamara and Evans terminals?

Valet Connections runs a free shuttle 24 hours a day, and its homepage and FAQ say it comes every 10 to 15 minutes. The FAQ puts the ride at 5 to 7 minutes to your terminal. The lot is 2.8 miles straight-line from the airport's map point, and the driving route is longer.

DTW has two terminals, McNamara and Evans. The airport's Shuttle Services page says off-airport parking shuttles board at the Ground Transportation Center at each terminal, and its terminal-to-terminal shuttle leaves about every 10 minutes if you need to switch. Valet Connections' valet page names the McNamara Terminal but no curb or door.

Sources disagree on frequency: the operator's About Us page says every 15 minutes, while the lot's description on Way says every 5 to 10 minutes. A full 15-minute wait plus a 7-minute ride is 22 minutes before check-in at the desk, so leave room for both.

Arriving at the lot:

  1. Drive to 27299 Wick Rd, Taylor, MI 48180. The lot's instructions on Way say to follow the side driveway to the back, make a U-turn and pull toward the automatic door.
  2. Drive inside, park and check in at the front desk. You get a paper ticket plus an e-ticket by text message.
  3. Hand the car to the valet staff. Airport Parking Reservations' listing says an insured staff driver then moves it about 3 miles to a secure outdoor lot.
  4. Board the free shuttle to your terminal and note where it drops you.

Coming home:

  1. After you collect your bags, open the text link from check-in to request a pickup, or call (734) 992-4946 with your ticket number ready.
  2. Go to the off-airport parking and hotel shuttle area. The lot's Way instructions say to take the escalator up from baggage claim, cross the skywalk to the parking structure, go down and turn left.
  3. Ride back to Wick Road, where the operator says your car will be ready and waiting inside a climate-controlled pickup area.
  4. Walk around the car before you drive off and raise any problem at the desk.

ParkingAccess customers booked this lot 103 times in the last 12 months, with an average stay of 6.9 days. Four short excerpts, quoted as written:

  • "Easy to get to. And quick process of leaving car and to be shuttled to Airport." (June 2026, 5 stars)
  • "A good choice to avoid the congestion of onsite airport parking. Courteous staff; quick pick up and drop off. Prices are comparable." (April 2026, 5 stars)
  • "the car apparently had been taken to another dusty and dirty lot. It was returned quite filthy." (June 2025, 3 stars)
  • "I emailed to cancel my reservation hours after I made it and still have not gotten any reply." (March 2026, 2 stars)

The praise repeats three things: a quick drop-off and shuttle, courteous drivers and counter staff, and a lower price than airport parking. The complaints are few but specific: a car returned dirty after storage at another lot (June 2025), which fits the reseller description of a separate outdoor lot, and a cancellation email unanswered for more than a week (March 2026).

What are Valet Connections' rules on cancellation, vehicle size, keys and payment?

Valet Connections publishes few written rules: its homepage says reservations can be changed or cancelled by phone or in its app "within 24 hours" without saying 24 hours of what. It prints no vehicle size limit, key policy or payment list. A ParkingAccess booking follows the ParkingAccess receipt terms, with a full refund if you cancel at least 1 hour before the reservation start.
PolicyWhat the sources say
Cancelling a ParkingAccess bookingFull refund up to 1 hour before the start time; no cancellation after it; no refund for unused days or early returns. Cancel by chat on parkingaccess.com, at [email protected] or at +1 (256) 364 0551. To change dates, book again and cancel the original.
Cancelling a booking made on the operator's siteBy phone at (734) 992-4946 or in the Valet Connections app. Refund terms not published.
Vehicle sizeNot published. Call before booking a tall van or oversized truck.
Keys and who drivesValet only on both reseller listings; staff drive the car to storage. A written key policy is not published.
Covered or uncoveredThe operator does not say. Airport Parking Reservations lists valet, uncovered; Way lists outdoor valet.
Payment at the lotNot published.
HoursShuttle 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Airport Parking Reservations lists the lot as open 24/7.
OffersValet Connections runs its own offers on its site.

Two leftovers on the operator's site should not alarm you: the booking form heading reads "FastLane Valet Parking," and the Terms of Service give a registered office at 27075 Wick Rd. The booking page's map pin matches the 27299 Wick Rd lot, the copyright line names Detroit Airport Parking, Inc., and the About Us page says the company was founded in 2011.

Who should skip Valet Connections and park somewhere else at DTW?

Skip Valet Connections if you want a covered space, do not want staff driving your car, or want to walk from your car to the McNamara Terminal. It is also a poor fit on busy dates, since the operator warns space can be limited at peak travel times.

This a good choice to avoid driving into the congestion of the airport. The shuttle is relatively quick for both drop off the and pick up. The price is less expensive than onsite parking. Staff is courteous.

I emailed to cancel my reservation hours after I made it and still have not gotten any reply. That was over a week ago. Yet I get 2 emails a day asking for a rating. We cancelled because the process felt unsafe and some of the reviews supported that feeling. Just awaiting a reply. Booking process was easy though.

The system and personnel were good, but the car apparently had been taken to another dusty and dirty lot. It was returned quite filthy. Dust and dirt were in every seam and crevice.

The two shuttle drivers I encountered were hard-working, albeit overworked, service providers. They deserved their tips! The problem is that there is obviously only one shuttle operating at any given time. The wait time was over 30 minutes going to the terminal which meant I was cutting it close after getting through TSA. On the return trip, it was again more than a 30 minute wait for the shuttle. Thankfully, the weather was better on the return because I could not have stood outside for 35 minutes the week before. Again, NOT the driver's fault! The driver was great! But I saw 4 Quick Park shuttles while waiting for my Valet Connections shuttle. I will go back to Quick Park for my next trip. A little more money but worth it for convenient shuttle service.

I love the fact that this company moves your vehicle into the heated garage when there is an opening. They are professional and polite. I feel safe at the facility and would highly recommend them. And they are less expensive than on sight parking.
