It’s been a while since visiting Jax International Airport and I’m very impressed with the service quality and efficiency throughout the airport. Picking up my luggage from baggage claims seemed fast compared to other airports!

I also loved touring the art gallery and learning about aviation history! Very cool! ✈️

A quite modern and easy to navigate airport. TSA has all the new scanners and automated bins, so going through security is pretty fast. The airport layout is simple, so it's hard to get lost. My only critiques are that there aren't very many check-in kiosks, so it can get a bit backed up on busy days; and there is only one coffee shop (Starbucks) behind security, so the line is crazy long almost all the time. Make sure you have plenty of time before your flight if you're getting coffee.

A very well maintained airport, TSA procedures are very organized and it’s nice that there is a digital sign lets you know what is the estimated time to go through. A pianist is in the lobby playing some music to enjoy while your time is up. A meditation room/Pray is available too.

I wanted to write this because I wanted to share it with the rest of the world. Jacksonville airport (JAX) is the best in the world in my humble opinion. I Travel around the world internationally. I visited many countries, from the east to the west, including Japan, South Korea, China, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Bahrain, KSA, Qatar, UAE, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, South Africa, Tunisia, Morocco, UK, Ireland, Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, and of course the United States.

When you walk out, you will see a display about flight history. It’s like a small museum. The airport is very clean, and let’s not forget the person who plays the piano. You can feel the good energy and vibes when you are at that airport. On my way back I had a horrible experience due to flight cancellation from Jax to JFK. When I arrived at the airport the young man who was helping me with my luggage, took my luggage, carried it around and took me to the airline agent and stayed with me throughout the whole time, till my reservation was fixed. The lady [Elain] she went out of her way to help me out. She was an amazing person. She made my horrible experience enjoyable because of her dedication and kindness. Above all at that airport, the most impressive part is the staff. Everyone who works there, seems truly happy, even TSA staff. They were all cheerful, well experienced , pleasant. They check everything out thoroughly but are well organized.

I’m telling you this airport is like Heaven and everyone who works there are Angels. JAX management, please keep doing what you’re doing. This review was written by myself, no one have asked me to do that.

Been a while and love the new look inside! Much brighter and modern looking, too. Quick check in and TSA was fast & efficient. On the way to the West Coast for a family reunion / homecoming...

Who on earth would give 5 stars to an airport? Okay, for this one it's a relative scale. Airports suck. But this one was barely busy at all, easy to get in and out of and had cute art galleries. Overall a great airport pickup!

Beautiful terminal with lots of options for quick shopping for last minute needs or a meal.Easy access to the rental cars. They installed the new automated TSA bag check system (like the one at LaGuadia). Still getting the process down. It wasn’t that crowded and it easily took 20 minutes to get through. You have to be patient.

One of the friendliest airports. From the easy parking, shuttle to the airline check-in counters, fast and effective security screening and short walk to the gates. Excellent experience.

JAX Airport is pretty good! It’s easy to get around, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The security process was smooth, and I didn’t have to wait too long.

The airport is clean, and there are enough places to grab a quick bite or drink. It’s not too big, so it feels manageable and not overwhelming.

Overall, I had a nice experience and would definitely fly through JAX again!

The bustling atmosphere of an international airport is a unique blend of excitement, anticipation, and a touch of melancholy. Travelers from all walks of life pass through its gates, each with their own destination and purpose. Amidst the chaos of check-in lines and security checks, there is a hidden gem waiting to be discovered - the airport art exhibit.

Many international airports around the world have recognized the importance of showcasing local art and culture to travelers passing through their terminals. These art exhibits serve as a window into the soul of the destination, offering a glimpse of its history, traditions, and artistic heritage. From vibrant paintings and sculptures to interactive installations and multimedia displays, airport art exhibits provide a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of travel.

Indulging oneself in the local art exhibit at an international airport is a truly enriching experience. It allows travelers to immerse themselves in the culture of the destination they are visiting, even if only for a brief layover. The artworks on display often reflect the unique identity of the region, offering insights into its people, landscapes, and customs.

As travelers wander through the exhibit, they may find themselves captivated by a striking photograph of a local landmark, intrigued by a contemporary sculpture that challenges traditional notions of art, or moved by a poignant painting that captures the essence of the destination. Each piece tells a story, inviting viewers to connect with the culture and heritage of the place they are passing through.

In addition to showcasing local artists, airport art exhibits also provide a platform for emerging talents to gain exposure and recognition on an international stage. For artists, having their work displayed in a busy airport terminal can be a career-defining opportunity, opening doors to new audiences and potential collaborations.

Indulging oneself in the local art exhibit at an international airport is not just a way to pass the time during a layover - it is a chance to engage with the world in a meaningful and profound way. It is an opportunity to broaden one's horizons, expand one's cultural awareness, and appreciate the beauty and diversity of the world we live in.

So next time you find yourself with a few hours to spare at an international airport, take a moment to explore the art exhibit. You may be surprised by the treasures you discover and the connections you make with the destination and its people. After all, art has a way of transcending borders and bringing us closer together, even in the transient and fast-paced world of air travel.

Very easy airport to get to. It was also very easy to get through the security checkpoints. This is a moderately small airport by today's standards yet they have many options for food and shopping. Very well lit and easy-to-navigate airport with plenty of Easy-to-Read signage and lots of bathrooms.

Smaller airport with not much traffic or waiting lines inside of the terminal. I appreciate how festive this airport is decorated during the holiday season. Also, If you have time before your flight, It’s pretty cool sitting in the rocking chairs solo or with family and friends in the area just before going through TSA. The art exhibits are also a remarkable experience showcasing local talent. Thank you for keeping this airport clean and assisting travelers with a stress free journey. Safe travels ✈️!

Thank you, JAX airport, for your speedy kiosk check-point ticket services...

We really appreciate your walk-up kiosk to attain our airline tickets and "lickedy-split!

We rated your airport 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Because of your friendly staff, clean restrooms, recognition of all armed services, volunteer piano entertainers, storytelling of culture heritage, and visitors center. And easy to read departure menus for flight numbers, destinations, times for departure/arrivals, and most importantly, convenient gate numbers for connecting flights... Of, "More miles... "More memories...

Thanks again, "JAX," your airport bistro style eatery's, is great for a convenience, travelers experience...

This airport is nice simple, it’s not overcrowded or anything. It’s clean and quiet, I like it here it also have stuff from Pam-Am along with military stuff. The TSA is super easy and close to the gates, you don’t have to worry about running for your flight. The food options not that bad, maybe it could use a bit more of other options. Starbucks here is pretty quick compared to others, my favorite lol. They don’t have Clear here that kind of sucks in my opinion. They don’t harass people for parking spots at the pickups like other places. I will enjoy it every time I come there.

It's the Holidays and lots of people flying in. I have traveled a lot and always enjoyed our airport. Easy parking and short walk to terminal areas. Lots of seating when waiting for someone. There has been a lot of revamp to the place making flow of traffic easier. Nice coffee shop. Be sure to check out the art gallery. Also, not a lot of people know this, but the art on wall behind baggage claims is all stamps. Next time your there, give it a close up look!

Don’t Stress - It’s a Good Vibe. I hadn’t flown for quite some time so I was nervous about all the new regulations and the growing airport terminals. I arrived at 0500 for an early flight and it was such a breeze. The Delta check-in desk had the most efficient staff who were also courteous and quite helpful. I did my pre-check in at a location in Jax a month prior so it made the boarding much easier. This airport is clean and very well organized. Met a couple of nice airport police when I stopped them to ask about a friend of mine who worked there. Very cordial men and still watching every move around them. From the background in which I come I respected that. I was so happy with the ease of parking and getting in and out that I have already planned more flights in the very near future.

Nice airport with car rental services on-site. There are plenty of spots to grab a bite to eat & drink as well. On the smaller side, so it's fairly quiet!

Jacksonville is a nice little airport! Very easy to navigate and gates, restaurants, and all is well organized.

One thing to keep in mind is this: Even though the airport doors are open in the departure terminals, the security checkpoint doesn’t open until 4:00 am. So you’ll have to wait if your are here early. I didn’t know that.

Also, I was flying with American Airlines and they too, do not open until 4:00 am. 3:45 am is the earliest they open. This is only if you need to check in bags. The self-serving machines will only print boarding passes. At 4 am or so, they get rebooted and now you can print bag passes.

Same goes with the restaurants. Right now it is 4:20 am and they are closed, I am assuming they open at either 5 or 6 am.

But the airport is comfortable, and going through the security was not too bad!

Easy checked in and out. Almost returned rental car(Avis) staffs very helpful and friendly. Maybe city of Jacksonville might need some upgrade for…sidewalks or 1-2 stores? Because of Double Tree hotel just doesn’t have much snacks and drinking outside and you have to walk like 2-4 miles or ride transportation bus.

I flew into the JAX airport on frontier. This is the closest airport to Gainesville on frontier.  The airport has been nicely remodeled. It's a nice size airport for Jacksonville and easy to get around.  They seem to have plenty of restaurants and shopping.

Most rental cars are onsite and was easily accessible from the airport  following Baggage and Ground transportation. The airport was easy to get to upon my return.

TSA was very busy with a long line but it only took about 20 minutes to get through early Friday morning.  We took off from concourse A that had plenty of seating with charging stations at the seats.

The gates are pretty close with an automatic walking escalator within  the concourses which is great for those who are concern with lots of walking between gates.

It's pretty empty right now during the weekdays. It's smaller with over 3 restaurants and 2 Starbucks and a Java Jacket. The restrooms are decent and the prices are pretty high, for example, a 1.05 qt bottle of water and a chocolate bar is $9 true story. Bring some food from somewhere else, but other than that all of the airport staff is friendly and very helpful.

Easy to maneuver from side to side.

TSA is in the middle of the airport which makes it easier to get to.

Bright, well lit. Lots of artsy displays around.

Plenty of restaurants to choose from.

Lots of shops to kill time in while waiting.

Several 🔌 outlets for charging.

First time flying out of this location. TSA was quick. A variety of parking options. We choose economy parking that has a shuttle that runs about every 5 minutes from the airport. They are decorated for Christmas. My child loved the moving walkways. It kept her entertained while waiting for the flight. We arrived 2 hours early for our flight. It took about 20 minutes to park, get on the shuttle, and get to the airport. About 20 minutes to check in. Security took about 15 minutes. When arriving, the economy parking shuttle is located outside of baggage claim across the street. Look for the sign that says economy.

Honesty I love this airport so easy and chill to go through. I have been here many, many times. The airport is small, but easy to navigate. Basically a center hub entry with TSA in the middle and once you are done with TSA you either branch off to the left or to the right. Each side has their own airline and each side has their own set of stores and restaurants to go to. Also did a long term park 3 days and that was nice had a shuttle from the economy lot and it couldn't have been easier. The staff is usually very nice here never had a bad experience.

Small for an international Airport. However, good things do come in small packages as well.

The check in process was efficient and structured. We were through security in maybe 15 minutes. But it was also 5pm on a weekday.

The airport is clean but a lot of the electrical plugs near the seats do not work. Also, the terminal didn't have too many shops or food options.

On the north end of Jacksonville, this is a really good size airport. Lots of parking, with several lots in various price ranges, depending on amount use time. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well maintained for the volume of people going thru.

I’ve had the privilege to be at multiple airports through the USA.

This airport is so enjoyable to fly out of-

The Pre TSA feels like a true preTSA. They quickly get you processed and on your way. Organized, professional, serious business but not rude.

The airport is clean and relaxing even in its busyness.

Seats are in good condition and kept clean.

Plenty of restaurants, eat stops, and little shops to buy a souvenir and browse.

Restrooms are monitored and clean.

There are sensored water fountains to fill up your Personal Water bottles.

Plenty of USB charging areas.

Parking is good. Plenty of extended airport parking at reasonable prices. Police do monitor heavily here so be sure to follow the posted rules.

This airport is such a breath of fresh air. Simple layout. Signs are easy to follow. Baggage claim is convenient to the exit doors and it’s easy to meet the party you’re meeting. Car rental agencies are in the building and not out in the hinterlands offsite.

Pleasantly surprised by this airport! Lines weren’t bad, bathrooms were clean, and Starbucks was present for me to juice up on caffeine before rolling the dice on a regional jet…

Sure beats JFK!

Wow. Very nice facility. It's a medium-sized terminal but very spacious, modern, and clean. There are several nice stores, bars, and restaurants. The TSA baggage scanners resemble jet engines. Very cool.

Good airport with friendly TSA and new equipment, so lines move faster. Lacking local food (all chains for example 2 Starbucks next to each other lol)

There could also be better lounges.
