We stayed at Sonesta during our PCS travel extravaganza. The conierge, shuttle, and housekeeping staff were all beyond wonderful to us. Our room was clean, and in order when we could check in, they allowed us to chill in the lobby pre-check-in as we arrived slightly early.
There is a little doggy bowl by the main entrance, and you're free to walk your pup around the property. There are plenty of trash cans around, so there isn't any dodging of doggy bombs to do during the walks. It was supremely quiet, and the bed itself was incredibly comfortable.

So far my stay is lovely, but the first impression of the staff is just as the other reviews. Lackluster attitude. Both women stood there when I walked in. One made eye contact and went back to what she was doing. I stood there for a few seconds and the same lady said I can help you. I walked over and stated that I wanted to check in and she said hold on a minute. A minute or two later she starts to check me in. The nice thing she did do is tell me parking isn't free and said "but I can sign you up for a membership if you want." So I said yes. She handed me the keys and directed me to where my room was.
The whole hotel is nice and be try quiet. Everything is clean and tidy. No issues with my room that had two queen beds and a sofa couch l in a room and a separate area with a sofa couch and tv with a little kitchenette. The bathroom area has a sink and then a separate room that houses the toilet and shower. Our room has a view of the pool which is luminescent at night and very pretty. Now where is that glass of wine?

Great hotel right next to the airport for our family of five. Room was very clean and huge! Front desk said hotel was remodeled in Feb and it really shows as everything seems brand new. Staff was very friendly with reliable shuttle service to airport (both when I dropped off the rental car and the following day for our flight/departure). Would definitely stay here again!

We’ve stayed here a few times for airport travel. The rooms are always super clean. The staff is what makes the hotel. They are always so warm and welcoming and go beyond to help! The shuttle has been great never an issue! Again I cannot say enough about the customer service! They are so nice! Tonya is so sweet to our kids! Definitely stay again and price fair!

I stayed here for a few weeks and it’s pretty nice, the the best hotel I’ve stayed in and the rooms are fairly simple with no microwave but they do have a mini fridge, the tv it come with is fairy old and kinda I’m the smaller side but it dose let you hook your phone up to it to play Netflix, YouTube and amazon prime but that’s it no Hulu it Disney plus or hbo max but still a fairly nice hotel with super friendly staff

Awesome hotel close to SJC, 101, located in business area, with an army of very friendly staff. The restaurant serves a basic set of food and drinks. The rooms are pretty spacious and room service is good. The broadband was kind of shaky despite complaint which was readily attended.

Very kind front desk. Nice clean rooms. They shuttled me to the airport even though I was by myself. (I luckily decided to ask about the shuttle the night before--Apparently it seems you need to SCHEDULE the shuttle beforehand?) I wish the hotel industry in general pushed for hotel walls to be soundproof, or at least pushed for cheap $10-$15 white noise makers to be in each room. Hearing every creak, footstep, and conversation around you is uncomfortable. "Elizabeth" is right about the TV position--it is in the literal worst spot you could put it in--It almost seems like the room designers were intentionally trying to position it in the most absurdly awful location in the room possible as a gag. The extending thing to slide the TV out further doesn't help at all, either...But it didn't matter too much to me in the end, because I was too embarrassed to watch TV for longer than a few minutes, since I assumed my neighbors and hallway walkers could hear literally everything I was watching. I also luckily brought headphones with my computer, so I could distract myself from the awkwardness of all of us being able to hear each other's slightest movements through the paper-thin doors and walls.

Great experience! Multiple week stay with changes we made that that were managed very well. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful especially Jessica, Tanya, Sierra, AK, Lydia and Ellis (hope I got names right) and all the support staff! . They were all sincere in making our stay comfortable for us and our cat. The whole staff made sure the facility was clean and always smelling fresh. Good people who care about their customers makes this a perfect spot for short or long term stays. We highly recommend them!

Great location for business. It's super close to the airport and they provide airport shuttles as early as 4am (yes i had to be at the airport before dawn). Service at the front desk was so excellent - very friendly and informative. Airport Shuttle Driver was nice and helpful and made sure I jumped off at the right terminal. Overall great stay for business.

I stayed here unexpectedly after my flight was canceled. Tonya was the front desk, she was fantastic. Clearly a seasoned professional, she made sure I was well looked after. The room was comfortable and I slept well.
Does it have a few issues? Yes. Did I see a giant cockroach in the lobby? Maybe. Was the staff in the morning at check out rude? Of course. Did the airport shuttle driver tell me I was SOL on the empty shuttle and had to take a $14 uber? Also yes.

Another benefit is that it was just a 5-minute walk to grab the VRT southbound line to the University and that five mile trip only took 14 minutes.

We stayed here the night before catching a flight. Appreciated the complimentary shuttle ride to the airport the next morning. While attempting to drop our baggage with the airline, my husband discovered that he did not have his wallet. I called the hotel and asked them to check the room. They did so immediately and found it! Then, they had the same shuttle driver deliver it back to us at the airport without me even asking. So incredibly thoughtful!! The staff are accommodating, and as a walk-in customer, we paid in cash for a deluxe premium suite after paying they suddenly upgraded us to an executive suite for free. The room is very big clean and elegant. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary! I highly recommend staying here.

The first thing I noticed was that the carpet was littered with various stains throughout the room as well as in the common areas, which for such a seemingly fancy hotel (relatively speaking) was a bit off-putting.
I wish the room had had a microwave (tho not a huge deal). And not having in-room coffee is LAME..!
Lots of hangers, functional/not vandalized TV remote, lamps & night tables on both sides of the bed, and plenty of light sources - all thumbs up. Also, really liked having a private kind of mini patio-like area accessible thru a siding glass door & screen door at the far end of the room.
Bathroom had lots of counter space in the sink area. Separated by its own door, the toilet & shower area was spacious and comfortable. Loved that the full-size top-pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner & body wash were installed on the shower stall wall, which frees up the in-shower shelf space for any other shower necessities.

Tanya was amazing! I’d consider her a concierge by how helpful she was with locating nearby entertainment/food/drink. She seriously was a huge part of how pleasant our layover became. We would come back just to see her again. Other staff members, meh.
The hotel itself was very convenient as well. We hopped onto a random shuttle destined for the facility and fortunately a room was available. The shuttle runs at 4am, which is perfect for our 6am flight. Very affordable and relatively clean, but I took a star off because of the crud found on the edge of the beds floor.

Had a great stay here for work. The staff was great, when the printer wasnt working they had me email documents to them and they printed them for me right away. I had the avocado toast and a latte every morning in the cafe and was very happy with it although it was a little expensive. Rooms were nice and comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Sonesta. Our flight was canceled and set back 2 days, so Alaska put us up in this hotel for 1 night (we had to pay for the 2nd night ourselves, thanks Alaska 😒) The staff was very pleasant and the room was very clean and comfortable. There are only a handful of places to eat and things to do within a short walk, so it's better to have a car if you stay here. It is however conveniently a very short distance to the airport. The AC unit is very loud so if you're a light sleeper you won't be able to use it at night.

We chose the Sonesta after seeing they had fair prices and good reviews online. From the moment we got there, we were treated well by the lady at the front desk. She even gave us a room on a different floor and other side of the hotel from a very noisy and rambunctious group that came in directly after us which we definitely appreciated. She was warm and welcoming and at 10pm, that's not usually the kind of attitude you get from people. The room was the cleanest room we stayed in during our week and a half trip which included 5 different hotels. The room had a clean seal on the door and even the tv remote was sanitized and left waiting in a sealed bag for us. I'd give this place more stars if I could and if I'm ever back in San Jose, I would absolutely stay there again!
