Located on Main Street in Flushing, Queens, this urban oasis is an absolute gem of New York City’s borough. The site covers 39 acres and includes several gardens, an art gallery, and an administration building adjacent to Flushing Meadows–Corona Park. Visitors and members can use the modern Queens Botanical Garden parking lot or take advantage of cheap public transportation. The site is open every day except Monday from 8 AM to 6 PM (4:30 PM during winter). While admission is free from November through March, the following prices apply in other months.

The car parking lot, also known as the Parking Garden, offers 117 parking spaces obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis, including six accessible spots. The entrance is at 42-80 Crommelin Street, and visitors can use it during the garden’s working hours.
Park on the Surrounding Streets
Metered parking spots on Main Street are enforced from 9 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Saturday, and there’s a four-hour limit. The hourly rate is $2. Alternatively, you may also park on other nearby streets, as long as you read the posted signs. Make sure you park legally to avoid pricey NYC parking tickets.

Take Public Transportation
Bus riders can reach their destination by getting the MTA Q44-SBS or Q20A/B bus in the Bronx, Jamaica, or Flushing. If you use the subway, take the 7 train or LIRR’s Port Washington Line to Main Street/Flushing. The station is a 12-minute walk from the garden, but you can also take a bus to get there. The MTA single-ride fare is $2.75.
