Wyndham SNA Airport

My company loves Sonesta Irvine! We have held multiple employee meetings in the Work Suite and stayed at the hotel many times. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful, the rooms are well appointed and clean, the food is great and they are walking distance to a lot of great restaurants. Their events team is fantastic and their bartender makes great drinks, is super patient with a large crowd of thirsty people and if it’s late enough you can even talk him into competing (and winning) and impromptu arm wrestling contest.

Claire is an amazing person. Helpful, accommodating and professional. Answered all our questions. And helped ease the process of checking in and out. God bless her soul. We will be back.

Just want to give a shoutout to Saint Augustine, Dave, Juan and Andrew I think ( contractor ..).



They are awesome people. They communicate well and get to know you in the best way. Remembering names and dates, not a problem with this team, they are historic as far as great humans go.

The rooms are clean and well maintained but the overall customer experience is wanting.



To top things off they charge 5.00 per bottle for their house bottled water on the room. There is no indication of this anywhere so it’s a surprise at check out. I’m staying elsewhere next conference.

Had a wonderful time at this hotel! Great view from the window. Front desk was friendly. Great location close to beach and airport. Airport Shuttle was free and timely, and the driver was SO nice and friendly! They finished the lobby construction while I was visiting, and it looks wonderful. Still have construction going on restaurant and bar. One complaint: walls of the hotel are quite thin.

Room was clean and the staff at the front desk and restaurant were really friendly and accomodating. It's only a 15-20 minute drive to Newport Beach and Downtown Disney District, in a nice, quiet area. I would stay again!

Pet friendly hotel with kind service, cleanliness and convenience going for it. Be careful not to blind yourself with the bathroom lighting however-super harsh 😖! Rooms are actually serviced with regularity! Nice change from other places that cut back to minimums.

Not sure why there is a thread of bad reviews but I love this place. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The property is INSANELY well kept and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant/bar is currently closed for renovations but will be open in two weeks. There is a marketplace with a variety of adult beverages, food, and snacks that can be charged to the room. Parking is $25 a night but it’s well worth the extra price with how amazing the property is. Very clean and welcoming room. 10 stars!

Excellent customer! We decided to stay a second night at the same hotel because of the great staff. We were helped by Martha and Lucy, and both were very kind and accommodating. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.

This hotel was just updated! I’ve stayed at Sonesta 15+ times within the last 6 years. The rooms are better even though they were already nice before. The views are great, especially if you face the Main Street. Hotel is super clean and staff is super friendly. Rooms have walk in closets and mini fridges. In the middle of the hallways, they have a microwave and a washing and drying machine.

It's a very nice hotel, clean and beautiful however, self-parking charges 39$ per night for guests and valet is 49 which is very expensive. I don't think any hotel guest would like to pay a high parking price plus they don't have complimentary breakfast. Other than that it's a nice hotel

A very comfortable place! We had an excellent stay at your Hotel. We arrived at the train station and were pleased to know the hotel was only a few shorts blocks away. When we arrived, the receptionist greeted us politely. The place was also very beautiful and the staff was very helpful. What a nice hotel!

The truth about this Sonesta is that it's not your typical Sonesta. This is honestly a very high end hotel. One thing I want to point out is the property is within walking distance to numerous great restaurants, so I am not sure why it doesn't reflect that here. Outside of that, the restaurant at the hotel has great food. The bartenders and servers there are excellent and very enjoyable to speak to if you are dining by yourself. So I have dined in and out for my nine nights of staying at the property.



As for the rooms, completely remodeled and beautiful. The floors do night have carpeting which is very important to me. The most important thing about the rooms though is the bed. I have a high end mattress at my home that I routinely brag about, but this mattress is more comfortable than mine. I have had some of the best sleep of my life in this bed. That should do it alone to hear that the bed is comfortable, the room is super clean and updated, on-site restaurant is great and also within walking distance to a variety of highly rated restaurants. Right?



Now the real reason why I would recommend, or choose, this hotel over any other hotel in the area is the STAFF. I have never felt so welcomed at a hotel in my life. I travel a lot for both work and pleasure. Let first start by giving a shout out to Vanessa at the front desk. She could be one of the nicest, most helpful, humans I have ever met. She is just too sweet along with the rest of the front desk crew. Anything I have needed they have made sure I got it. The housekeeping crew was also incredible. I have a service animal with me so I kept my DND sign on most the time and the one time I asked her to just restock the towels and cleanup to floor while I walked my little guy Gucci, she literally did the entire room before I got back and it looked amazing, including little extras to make us feel special. I already raved about the service in the restaurant but again they are fabulous.



I hope this helps anyone having doubt about whether or not to book a stay at this property. It's a no brainer and you can feel confident that you will be treated special your entire stay at the Sonesta. They also treated my service animal so nicely. He really enjoyed his stay and made some new friends .

Everyone was super nice and accommodating. We got in in the middle of the night and had to leave in the middle of the night, plus we extended our stay by a day, and no one made a fuss. The pool and spa were really nice. They are at the tail end of some renovations so there was only one working elevator which was inconvenient, but obviously to be expected. The location was really nice since we went to the beach and inland. Clean, smells new, and everything works well

What an awesome hotel! Rooms are super clean and the swimming pool and jacuzzi are fantastic! The wonderful ladies up front, specially Vanessa, Martha and Ashante, made us feel so welcome with greetings every morning and evening. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience! Amazing view and really clean rooms. The staff is awesome! We dearly appreciate Marissa and Ashanti for helping me make a birthday celebration even more special. We will definitely make this our first pick when staying in Irvine.

Update: Checkout was more time-consuming than I expected because I had to show reception my Sonesta-generated email that said that the reservation price included the daily resort OR DESINTATION fee of $19 (+ $.035 state tax + $1.90 city tax). Of course, this was honored. It was my fault for not having printed out the email and reviewing it with the staff when I was checking in.

Thanks to the reviews here for alerting us to the water-bottle charges. No charge: The exercise room is large, with weights, and has a pitcher of ice water and cups. There is a large decanter of lemon water in the lobby that you will need to ask the front desk about re-filling.



The shampoo and soap dispensers sound like an efficient idea, but the springs on the buttons eventually fail, so check that your dispensers work before showering or bring your own products.



I called the hotel directly and reservations came up with two different rates, one of which included an optional $27 noon check-in rate. Try to get written confirmation on the parking rate because the posted rate is $39 nightly self-park. (The staff graciously honored the rate that we quoted as having been told over the phone.)



Our room was surprisingly quiet. We opted to use the staircase, which is clean, unlocked, and clearly labelled, except on floor two. Front desk helpful in calling an escort to help us find the entry and "unlock" it (which turned out not to have a lock). I hope that this information simplifies your stay and inspires the hotel to have its staff take the stairs one time.

Excellent rooms and food. Nice place to stay if you just landed at John Wayne Airport after a long flight. The front desk is very accommodating and polite. The only downside is that overnight parking is $20. But other then that its a nice hotel.

Reginald whom works vallet and bell service went out of his way to bring me my items to my room. Like amazing and such a great service! My company uses this hotel for business travel and I really enjoy every stay due to service like this!!!

I just checked into Sonesta Irvine for the weekend, and I have to say, the service has been incredible from the moment I arrived. Vanessa at the front desk greeted me as soon as I walked in with a warm smile and outstanding customer service. She made sure everything was in order and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome right away.



David from valet was also amazing. He was friendly, efficient, and handled my car with care. Both Vanessa and David made my first night here so comfortable, and I’m really looking forward to the rest of my stay. If this is just the beginning, I know it’s going to be a great weekend!

Bill and the staff are amazing people. They go above and beyond to ensure all the guest needs are met. Bill sent Champagne to room as a gift to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The kind gesture was not necessary but it was very appreciated. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. The gym and pool area are very well maintained and cleaned properly. I’m excited to see what else they are adding to the hotel with current construction, we will definitely return.

I love Sonesta Irvine!. The hotel is gorgeous, the location is high end.

The people at reception and at the restaurant were at all times very friendly and helpful.I loved the fact that there's a Keurig coffee maker at the room, a big plus for me.

My only complain is that the A/C is quite noisy. I could hear the A/C going from the rooms next to ours, and it was a bit hard to fall asleep.

I will sure be coming back, since we enjoyed our stay.

Modern, updated luxury hotel that can be relatively affordable with seasonal deals. The staff are courteous and friendly, rooms have a fridge, walk-in shower and some neat stuff like a handheld steamer. Not a bad choice at all but can be a little tricky to find the entrance.

The front desk worker was very informative and kind. The beds were super comfy and the soap is nice with a nice scent. Wish the had an outdoor pool. The lobby was very neat and hotel was really quiet so I was able to get a great night's sleep.

Beautiful lobby and hotel. The employees were so kind and cheerful. We even did our family Christmas in the lobby and loved having a cozy decorated space. Very convenient to the airport.

Great valet service! I normally don't valet my vehicle. They they guys were really professional, greeted my family with kindness and made me trust them with my 911. They took photos to ensure the condition was the same when they return the vehicle. They made sure the attendants drive manual as well when transporting the vehicle. Friendly staff held my wife's bags as we load the vehicle when we were leaving. Thanks guys!

How glad I am to have the chance to stay in this beautiful hotel! I stayed here for three days last week. I was so pleased and fulfilled with the experience I had acquired when I stayed here. The check in and check out process was very easy, quick and seamless. The staff are very helpful and attended to my queries with a smile. The room was great and very clean. Everything was spot on and where it should be. My only comment is that the room is a bit on the smaller side, but other than that it was great. Also the parking fee $25/night is way too high. Last is that they charge a $100/night as a security deposit and when I asked for what, I was told in case I broke anything in the room as the hotel has been recently renovated. $100/night is too much specially if someone is staying long term. Overall the hotel is great and loved my stay there.

The Wyndham Hotel has comfortable beds and fairly spacious rooms. AC in the room was cold. Water in the bathroom was hot. Only gripe was the lack of a refrigerator.

We had a wonderful stay at our hotel and the concierge service, to be specific David G was very helpful! Even though we did not use the valet, he was very kind and friendly to help us in the rain and windstorm.

Wow...after a long day of travel issues, missed conections and the usual travel nightmares we are all too familiar with, Claire at your Irvine location stepped up and turned a nightmare into the best travel experience ever. She totally understood what my day was like and made check in a true pleasure. It was late i was exhausted and she made the trip worth it just by her excellent customer service. We would all have better travel with a few more Claires in the world. Sonesta should be honored by her presence.

Enjoyed our stay at Sonesta Irvine! Biggest pro is the comfy bed. We stayed in a Deluxe King Room on the High Floor. The bathrooms were not very clean. There was hair on the toilet seat, and the parking fee for $28 a night is crazy.. other than that, no major complaints. Very easy check-in and checkout.

Pros: This hotel is in a convenient location to John Wayne Santa Ana airport and restaurants. The hotel, lobby and rooms appear updated and modern. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom and shower very nice and clean. Room Air conditioning works well and comfortable. Cons: The 2 pillowcases on one of the beds were dirty and each had large stains on them. I called the front desk for new pillowcases to replace the soiled pillowcases. I waited 2 hours for housekeeping to deliver clean cases. No luggage racks in the room. Staff didn’t understand what a luggage rack was, we had to go to front desk and show them a picture. It took staff another 3 hours to deliver a luggage rack. The indoor pool area isn’t as nice as the pictures show online. The small 5 ft deep pool was not a desirable place to hang out. There weren’t any lounge chairs to relax on. Final review: Would I stay here again? Maybe, however, for about the same cost I might choose the Hilton by John Wayne airport instead because they have comfortable rooms and a nice outdoor pool. Note: Management did follow up with a call to me apologizing for any inconvenience they caused which was thoughtful.

Nice hotel, comfy beds, excellent service. The only negative was that the walls are so think you can hear everything going on next door. Otherwise, solid hotel near John Wayne Airport. If you’re looking to venture out they do have a shuttle that will take you within 3 miles.

First time staying at the Wyndham Hotel! Staff was friendly at Checkin. They answered all my questions in regards to my stay and parking! The room was just like I expected! The bed was very comfy and soft. Housekeeping was very nice and did a great job throughout the week I was there! I really liked staying in the area as it was centrally located to the places We needed to go!

Lucy was AMAZING, informative and gracious! We had a wonderful check-in. The manager upgraded us shortly after we became members. I always stay at Sonesta, beautiful rooms and the indoor pool is very nice. And ROMANTIC! ♡

This place is pretty nice and chic it's kept pretty clean the atmospheres pretty good. Of course the location makes it pretty pricey but you get what you pay for. They could work on the price some and make it little better for people I guess. Try telling that the corporate..lol.. it's got a good location with other shopping centers around it.

Beautiful hotel, bar, and restaurant on site. Happy Hour from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. Note no food but $6 drinks. We had a corner room, really spacious. First time I ever saw a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall that was not in front of the bed, but a nice couch. The latest you could order breakfast to be delivered was 8:30 am. We passed on this option to sleep in a little longer. Wyndham always does a great job. We have been staying with them for many years now. Check them out, they are a class act.

On a business trip and found this hotel to be much better than expected. The rooms are clean, they have a shuttle for airport pickups, a decent breakfast and great location that’s convenient to restaurants and airport. I recommend for business travel.

This Hotel is just ok. From the out side and from the pictures online it looks awesome, but once i stayed the night only thing that set it apart from a Holiday inn express is that it had a Decent restaurant. And staff was Cordial so that was good

Just wanted to give a special shout out to angel at the front desk . He went above and beyond with amazing customer service . I made a BIGGGG mistake when it came to booking and he was able to take the time to fix it and was so polite and patient about the situation . Thanks again angel!

Also the rooms and the hotel are so nice and clean. The staff is polite . The gentleman bartending on 7/30/2024 evening ( sorry didn't get name ) made amazing cocktails and the best espresso martinis ! I'm def going to be staying here from now on and I visit frequently .

Every time I’m in the area this is my go to hotel. They are clean, courteous, and great pricing for the service you get.

This looks like a tall office building but it’s actually a nice hotel with reasonable pricing. $110+tax on a Sunday. The rooms are remodeled with nice linen. And they don’t charge you for parking! Most hotels will charge about $25 for that.

First off customer service is great! Chrissy was super sweet, helpful, and welcoming! This is our second time staying here and she recognized us right away! The rooms are clean, aesthetically pleasing, and comfy! We will definitely be back soon and check out their new renovated area on the lobby floor :)

Commuting airline pilot. Very modern, clean and upper end hotel at a great price. Free airport shuttle. Location is in the larger building business area near the airport, which is just a couple minute van ride. I didn't explore the area much as I arrived late and left early, but definitely a very safe area. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially at the price.

Had a great stay. Stayed here for two weeks and it was cheaper than most Airbnb’s in the area. They offer room service and have a bar inside the hotel that closes around 11. Didn’t really interact with concierge much. Parking is offered but it’s around $15-20 a day. I didn’t really notice to be honest. Beds are pretty comfortable and it’s in a central location. Everything that you need is pretty close. Many restaurants, bars, breweries, places to shop that are close by

I came here after getting locked out of my Airbnb without any of my belongings. From check-in to check out the entire staff was so kind and ensured I was taken care of. I showed up after a long stressful day and David, one of the valets, helped get me checked in and made sure I was OK. The following two days Reggie and Edgar helped me take all my stuff up to my room (after I recovered my personal items) and then load it into my car at check out. While my stay was initiated by a bizarre series of events, I’m grateful to the whole staff! If you’re looking for a clean, quiet and safe place to book I highly recommend it! I definitely plan to return!

The staff at this hotel was very accommodating and polite. I have always stayed at this hotel and have never had a bad experience. The food was also great and worth giving every food a shot. Overall my experience in this hotel was an unforgettable moment and would definitely recommend other people to try it. Sure enough, I would love to return here. Thank you!

Nice and clean, new resort with a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are quite large and the beds as well as the bedding is so comfortable that once your in it you'll be asleep before your head hits the pillow! Quick check in wih the friendly staff and your at peace in aye matter of minutes.

Overall very safe and nice hotel! Vanessa was very sweet and attentive at the front desk. Helped with any issue and was very knowledgeable. Rooms were nice and spacious anything that was wrong with the room was fixed within 10 minutes.

A quiet and comfortable hotel experience. I'd like to especially recognize Adella and Maribela, EXCEPTIONAL servers at the lobby restaurant. I ate breakfast there every day for 6 mornings of my stay. They are the BEST!

Stayed for 3 nights. Was amazed by its modern decor (by North American standard). The cleanness was a plus.



Breakfast - i am not a fan of buffet and they offered only a la carte now. Great idea. I didn’t have to pay for something I didn’t eat.



Gym - decent and basic. Cable machine



Coffee machine however was not working properly.



Big difference to my stay at Four Point Sheraton LAX the night prior.

Best hotel in Orange County! The staff has the nicest customer service and front desk people, I mean everyone from Bill the manager , Maleena at front desk to Big Joe the building engineer! Beds are comfy, rooms are clean and the basketball ball court is the best!!! I recommend if you're ever in the OC you stay at the Sonesta!!!

Solid for an airport hotel. A little off the beaten path from SNA in a very quiet business park type of area (google maps takes you past it, turn in on Morse St). Big and clean, not a ton of amenities, but the staff was friendly.



Self Parking is $20, but it’s easy and close, while the gym is apparently closed. Pool deck looks good, and the rooms are comfortable but would be nice to have some USB plug support.



Overall totally great for a 1 night stay before or after a flight but anything longer isn’t serviced well by lack of upper amenities or location off Von Karman.

We are locals in Irvine and needed a hotel because of a maintenance issue in our rental. The supervisor Angel checked us in, gave us two great rooms, and even helped us find the best rate. He and all of the staff were kind, considerate, friendly, flexible, and responsive during the whole stay. The rooms are clean, remodeled, and have hard flooring (no carpeting). The TV cast system (for streaming your own content) worked well, the WiFi is strong, and there are plenty of outlets and USB ports in the room. The pool and jacuzzi are indoors, there is a small convenience store, and there is a casual bar in the lobby. Although we didn't need it, the airport is very close (but no plane noise). We will definitely recommend this hotel to any guests in the future!

Chrissy is the one to see. She helped me at the front desk her customer service was outstanding. she went above and beyond employees like this are what make companies better.

Reasonable price, clean and quiet place, great location, not too much traffic, great views from the room, easily the best parking accommodations for a building that tall. Staff doesn't interfere too much, get your room-cleaning scheduled upon request. It's been a comfortable stay so far

We had a bad encounter with the previous hotel we were booked at and luckily , the Sonesta hotel was able to accommodate such a big party last minute. Not only was the place clean and smelled heavenly when walking in but the staff was very welcoming, the rooms were very clean and we had the best time there. I also noticed how pet friendly they are and that's a plus for us. We will definitely be staying here in the future!!!

I really enjoyed my stay, the staff was friendly and very helpful without being over-bearing! Rooms were quiet and clean. Adella and Augustin were wonderful at the restaurant! And Daniel at front desk was helpful with all my numerous questions

The Sonesta hotel is beautifully decorated and has a very serine vibe to it. The rooms are very nice and have the basic amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent even though the service is a little slow, but the wait staff are professional and friendly. Only complaint right now is the elevators are being serviced and there are two big company groups staying here so moving throughout the hotel is a little annoying.

My favorite hotel in the city! This establishment is a really nice place to stay, because it's really amazing. The staff are very polite, and everything else has been provided, especially the amenities. I really had a great time here, and I'm sure I'm going to stay at this hotel again for my next visit. Highly recommended to all of you!

We checked in at The Front Desk. We were greeted by Vanessa and Martha. They took care of us and helped us out with our group. Very attentive the rooms are beautiful. Thanks to Vanessa she upgraded our VIP Guest El Pirata Morgan. Famous Wrestler from Mexico.

Great food at the restaurant/bar. The staff is amazing and so friendly. Check in was quick and the hotel does an excellent job keeping the place clean and disinfected during the day. You can see/smell housekeeping maintaining commonly touched areas like the elevators and hand rails. It really helped to calm my stay COVID free mentality during these unpredictable times! Definitely obtain a travel pass to take advantage of their discounts and points if you stay especially if your stay is extended. Because of my stay here I’ve stayed at several other Sonesta locations, since!

Sami and Andrew at the front desk were great! Shout out to Andrew for sure! Great hotel, parking is $20 a night which I was not told originally. But great hotel! No fridge, microwave by ice machine, and just tv. But great experience thanks to the two I mentioned!

we stayed this hotel before 4 week.. Staffs are friendly ,room is clean ... staff and visitors weared masks... I recommend it.
