Claire is an amazing person. Helpful, accommodating and professional. Answered all our questions. And helped ease the process of checking in and out. God bless her soul. We will be back.

The rooms are clean and well maintained but the overall customer experience is wanting.



To top things off they charge 5.00 per bottle for their house bottled water on the room. There is no indication of this anywhere so it’s a surprise at check out. I’m staying elsewhere next conference.

Had a wonderful time at this hotel! Great view from the window. Front desk was friendly. Great location close to beach and airport. Airport Shuttle was free and timely, and the driver was SO nice and friendly! They finished the lobby construction while I was visiting, and it looks wonderful. Still have construction going on restaurant and bar. One complaint: walls of the hotel are quite thin.

Room was clean and the staff at the front desk and restaurant were really friendly and accomodating. It's only a 15-20 minute drive to Newport Beach and Downtown Disney District, in a nice, quiet area. I would stay again!

Pet friendly hotel with kind service, cleanliness and convenience going for it. Be careful not to blind yourself with the bathroom lighting however-super harsh 😖! Rooms are actually serviced with regularity! Nice change from other places that cut back to minimums.

Not sure why there is a thread of bad reviews but I love this place. This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The property is INSANELY well kept and the staff was super friendly. The restaurant/bar is currently closed for renovations but will be open in two weeks. There is a marketplace with a variety of adult beverages, food, and snacks that can be charged to the room. Parking is $25 a night but it’s well worth the extra price with how amazing the property is. Very clean and welcoming room. 10 stars!

Excellent customer! We decided to stay a second night at the same hotel because of the great staff. We were helped by Martha and Lucy, and both were very kind and accommodating. The rooms were also clean and comfortable.

A very comfortable place! We had an excellent stay at your Hotel. We arrived at the train station and were pleased to know the hotel was only a few shorts blocks away. When we arrived, the receptionist greeted us politely. The place was also very beautiful and the staff was very helpful. What a nice hotel!

The truth about this Sonesta is that it's not your typical Sonesta. This is honestly a very high end hotel. One thing I want to point out is the property is within walking distance to numerous great restaurants, so I am not sure why it doesn't reflect that here. Outside of that, the restaurant at the hotel has great food. The bartenders and servers there are excellent and very enjoyable to speak to if you are dining by yourself. So I have dined in and out for my nine nights of staying at the property.



As for the rooms, completely remodeled and beautiful. The floors do night have carpeting which is very important to me. The most important thing about the rooms though is the bed. I have a high end mattress at my home that I routinely brag about, but this mattress is more comfortable than mine. I have had some of the best sleep of my life in this bed. That should do it alone to hear that the bed is comfortable, the room is super clean and updated, on-site restaurant is great and also within walking distance to a variety of highly rated restaurants. Right?



Now the real reason why I would recommend, or choose, this hotel over any other hotel in the area is the STAFF. I have never felt so welcomed at a hotel in my life. I travel a lot for both work and pleasure. Let first start by giving a shout out to Vanessa at the front desk. She could be one of the nicest, most helpful, humans I have ever met. She is just too sweet along with the rest of the front desk crew. Anything I have needed they have made sure I got it. The housekeeping crew was also incredible. I have a service animal with me so I kept my DND sign on most the time and the one time I asked her to just restock the towels and cleanup to floor while I walked my little guy Gucci, she literally did the entire room before I got back and it looked amazing, including little extras to make us feel special. I already raved about the service in the restaurant but again they are fabulous.



I hope this helps anyone having doubt about whether or not to book a stay at this property. It's a no brainer and you can feel confident that you will be treated special your entire stay at the Sonesta. They also treated my service animal so nicely. He really enjoyed his stay and made some new friends .

Everyone was super nice and accommodating. We got in in the middle of the night and had to leave in the middle of the night, plus we extended our stay by a day, and no one made a fuss. The pool and spa were really nice. They are at the tail end of some renovations so there was only one working elevator which was inconvenient, but obviously to be expected. The location was really nice since we went to the beach and inland. Clean, smells new, and everything works well

What an awesome hotel! Rooms are super clean and the swimming pool and jacuzzi are fantastic! The wonderful ladies up front, specially Vanessa, Martha and Ashante, made us feel so welcome with greetings every morning and evening. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience! Amazing view and really clean rooms. The staff is awesome! We dearly appreciate Marissa and Ashanti for helping me make a birthday celebration even more special. We will definitely make this our first pick when staying in Irvine.

Excellent rooms and food. Nice place to stay if you just landed at John Wayne Airport after a long flight. The front desk is very accommodating and polite. The only downside is that overnight parking is $20. But other then that its a nice hotel.

Bill and the staff are amazing people. They go above and beyond to ensure all the guest needs are met. Bill sent Champagne to room as a gift to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. The kind gesture was not necessary but it was very appreciated. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean. The gym and pool area are very well maintained and cleaned properly. I’m excited to see what else they are adding to the hotel with current construction, we will definitely return.

I love Sonesta Irvine!. The hotel is gorgeous, the location is high end.

The people at reception and at the restaurant were at all times very friendly and helpful.I loved the fact that there's a Keurig coffee maker at the room, a big plus for me.

My only complain is that the A/C is quite noisy. I could hear the A/C going from the rooms next to ours, and it was a bit hard to fall asleep.

I will sure be coming back, since we enjoyed our stay.

Modern, updated luxury hotel that can be relatively affordable with seasonal deals. The staff are courteous and friendly, rooms have a fridge, walk-in shower and some neat stuff like a handheld steamer. Not a bad choice at all but can be a little tricky to find the entrance.

The front desk worker was very informative and kind. The beds were super comfy and the soap is nice with a nice scent. Wish the had an outdoor pool. The lobby was very neat and hotel was really quiet so I was able to get a great night's sleep.

Covid clean and sanitized. Speaking for myself the room I was in was so quiet I got some much needed rest and relaxation.

room was clean and roomy, but the shower was a shower head only which made for a mildly messy experience since the other door is next to the toilet.

This place was amazing 👏the rooms are spacious the view wow. Genevieve was helpful at check in she was so nice and friendly told about the restaurant in the hotel indoor pool and even gives us a free upgrade. I recommend this hotel for when you need to stay in a comfortable clean and quiet place.

Beautiful lobby and hotel. The employees were so kind and cheerful. We even did our family Christmas in the lobby and loved having a cozy decorated space. Very convenient to the airport.

Everything was awesome. The room, the staff, the vibes. I called asking about the pool being heated and a very nice gentleman by the name of Joe assisted me and let me know that the pool heater is going to be changed soon, just in time for my next visit. Love this place!

The check in and check out process was very easy, quick and seamless. The staff are very helpful and attended to my queries with a smile. The room was great and very clean. Everything was spot on and where it should be. My only comment is that the room is a bit on the smaller side, but other than that it was great. Also the parking fee $25/night is way too high. Last is that they charge a $100/night as a security deposit and when I asked for what, I was told in case I broke anything in the room as the hotel has been recently renovated. $100/night is too much specially if someone is staying long term. Overall the hotel is great and loved my stay there.

The staff are fantastic and were always asking how our stay was and making sure we had the best time possible. Will definitely be coming back. A TRUE GEM GUYS !

Comfortable and a pleasant stay.

The guest rooms was large spacious and modern. The amenities in room was above average and shower caps, definitely a plus.

The Wyndham Hotel has comfortable beds and fairly spacious rooms. AC in the room was cold. Water in the bathroom was hot. Only gripe was the lack of a refrigerator.

We had a wonderful stay at our hotel and the concierge service, to be specific David G was very helpful! Even though we did not use the valet, he was very kind and friendly to help us in the rain and windstorm.

Wow...after a long day of travel issues, missed conections and the usual travel nightmares we are all too familiar with, Claire at your Irvine location stepped up and turned a nightmare into the best travel experience ever. She totally understood what my day was like and made check in a true pleasure. It was late i was exhausted and she made the trip worth it just by her excellent customer service. We would all have better travel with a few more Claires in the world. Sonesta should be honored by her presence.

Enjoyed our stay at Sonesta Irvine! Biggest pro is the comfy bed. We stayed in a Deluxe King Room on the High Floor. The bathrooms were not very clean. There was hair on the toilet seat, and the parking fee for $28 a night is crazy.. other than that, no major complaints. Very easy check-in and checkout.

Pros: This hotel is in a convenient location to John Wayne Santa Ana airport and restaurants. The hotel, lobby and rooms appear updated and modern. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathroom and shower very nice and clean. Room Air conditioning works well and comfortable. Cons: The 2 pillowcases on one of the beds were dirty and each had large stains on them. I called the front desk for new pillowcases to replace the soiled pillowcases. I waited 2 hours for housekeeping to deliver clean cases. No luggage racks in the room. Staff didn’t understand what a luggage rack was, we had to go to front desk and show them a picture. It took staff another 3 hours to deliver a luggage rack. The indoor pool area isn’t as nice as the pictures show online. The small 5 ft deep pool was not a desirable place to hang out. There weren’t any lounge chairs to relax on. Final review: Would I stay here again? Maybe, however, for about the same cost I might choose the Hilton by John Wayne airport instead because they have comfortable rooms and a nice outdoor pool. Note: Management did follow up with a call to me apologizing for any inconvenience they caused which was thoughtful.

Nice hotel, comfy beds, excellent service. The only negative was that the walls are so think you can hear everything going on next door. Otherwise, solid hotel near John Wayne Airport. If you’re looking to venture out they do have a shuttle that will take you within 3 miles.

First time staying at the Wyndham Hotel! Staff was friendly at Checkin. They answered all my questions in regards to my stay and parking! The room was just like I expected! The bed was very comfy and soft. Housekeeping was very nice and did a great job throughout the week I was there! I really liked staying in the area as it was centrally located to the places We needed to go!

Lucy was AMAZING, informative and gracious! We had a wonderful check-in. The manager upgraded us shortly after we became members. I always stay at Sonesta, beautiful rooms and the indoor pool is very nice. And ROMANTIC! ♡

This place is pretty nice and chic it's kept pretty clean the atmospheres pretty good. Of course the location makes it pretty pricey but you get what you pay for. They could work on the price some and make it little better for people I guess. Try telling that the corporate..lol.. it's got a good location with other shopping centers around it.

Agustín in the bar/restaurant was particularly excellent. He just demonstrated exceptional service and thoughtfulness. He was attentive and efficient with everything.

Beautiful hotel, bar, and restaurant on site. Happy Hour from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. Note no food but $6 drinks. We had a corner room, really spacious. First time I ever saw a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall that was not in front of the bed, but a nice couch. The latest you could order breakfast to be delivered was 8:30 am. We passed on this option to sleep in a little longer. Wyndham always does a great job. We have been staying with them for many years now. Check them out, they are a class act.

This Hotel is just ok. From the out side and from the pictures online it looks awesome, but once i stayed the night only thing that set it apart from a Holiday inn express is that it had a Decent restaurant. And staff was Cordial so that was good

Every time I’m in the area this is my go to hotel. They are clean, courteous, and great pricing for the service you get.

This looks like a tall office building but it’s actually a nice hotel with reasonable pricing. $110+tax on a Sunday. The rooms are remodeled with nice linen. And they don’t charge you for parking! Most hotels will charge about $25 for that.

First off customer service is great! Chrissy was super sweet, helpful, and welcoming! This is our second time staying here and she recognized us right away! The rooms are clean, aesthetically pleasing, and comfy! We will definitely be back soon and check out their new renovated area on the lobby floor :)

Commuting airline pilot. Very modern, clean and upper end hotel at a great price. Free airport shuttle. Location is in the larger building business area near the airport, which is just a couple minute van ride. I didn't explore the area much as I arrived late and left early, but definitely a very safe area. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially at the price.

Had a great stay. Stayed here for two weeks and it was cheaper than most Airbnb’s in the area. They offer room service and have a bar inside the hotel that closes around 11. Didn’t really interact with concierge much. Parking is offered but it’s around $15-20 a day. I didn’t really notice to be honest. Beds are pretty comfortable and it’s in a central location. Everything that you need is pretty close. Many restaurants, bars, breweries, places to shop that are close by

The staff at this hotel was very accommodating and polite. I have always stayed at this hotel and have never had a bad experience. The food was also great and worth giving every food a shot. Overall my experience in this hotel was an unforgettable moment and would definitely recommend other people to try it. Sure enough, I would love to return here. Thank you!

Nice and clean, new resort with a heated indoor pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are quite large and the beds as well as the bedding is so comfortable that once your in it you'll be asleep before your head hits the pillow! Quick check in wih the friendly staff and your at peace in aye matter of minutes.

Overall very safe and nice hotel! Vanessa was very sweet and attentive at the front desk. Helped with any issue and was very knowledgeable. Rooms were nice and spacious anything that was wrong with the room was fixed within 10 minutes.

A quiet and comfortable hotel experience. I'd like to especially recognize Adella and Maribela, EXCEPTIONAL servers at the lobby restaurant. I ate breakfast there every day for 6 mornings of my stay. They are the BEST!

Stayed for 3 nights. Was amazed by its modern decor (by North American standard). The cleanness was a plus.



Breakfast - i am not a fan of buffet and they offered only a la carte now. Great idea. I didn’t have to pay for something I didn’t eat.

Coffee machine however was not working properly.



Big difference to my stay at Four Point Sheraton LAX the night prior.

Best hotel in Orange County! The staff has the nicest customer service and front desk people, I mean everyone from Bill the manager , Maleena at front desk to Big Joe the building engineer! Beds are comfy, rooms are clean and the basketball ball court is the best!!! I recommend if you're ever in the OC you stay at the Sonesta!!!

Solid for an airport hotel. A little off the beaten path from SNA in a very quiet business park type of area (google maps takes you past it, turn in on Morse St). Big and clean, not a ton of amenities, but the staff was friendly.



Self Parking is $20, but it’s easy and close, while the gym is apparently closed. Pool deck looks good, and the rooms are comfortable but would be nice to have some USB plug support.



Overall totally great for a 1 night stay before or after a flight but anything longer isn’t serviced well by lack of upper amenities or location off Von Karman.

Chrissy is the one to see. She helped me at the front desk her customer service was outstanding. she went above and beyond employees like this are what make companies better.

Reasonable price, clean and quiet place, great location, not too much traffic, great views from the room, easily the best parking accommodations for a building that tall. Staff doesn't interfere too much, get your room-cleaning scheduled upon request. It's been a comfortable stay so far

The Sonesta hotel is beautifully decorated and has a very serine vibe to it. The rooms are very nice and have the basic amenities. The food in the restaurant is excellent even though the service is a little slow, but the wait staff are professional and friendly. Only complaint right now is the elevators are being serviced and there are two big company groups staying here so moving throughout the hotel is a little annoying.

My favorite hotel in the city! This establishment is a really nice place to stay, because it's really amazing. The staff are very polite, and everything else has been provided, especially the amenities. I really had a great time here, and I'm sure I'm going to stay at this hotel again for my next visit. Highly recommended to all of you!

Great food at the restaurant/bar. The staff is amazing and so friendly. Check in was quick and the hotel does an excellent job keeping the place clean and disinfected during the day. You can see/smell housekeeping maintaining commonly touched areas like the elevators and hand rails. It really helped to calm my stay COVID free mentality during these unpredictable times! Definitely obtain a travel pass to take advantage of their discounts and points if you stay especially if your stay is extended. Because of my stay here I’ve stayed at several other Sonesta locations, since!

Sami and Andrew at the front desk were great! Shout out to Andrew for sure! Great hotel, parking is $20 a night which I was not told originally. But great hotel! No fridge, microwave by ice machine, and just tv. But great experience thanks to the two I mentioned!
