No issues checking in and out. Also note to bring your car insurance information and policy number otherwise you’ll need to purchase theirs, and don’t go on toll roads unless you get the EZ pass from them (otherwise the charge will be high even if you didn’t mean to take the toll road).

Great selection and all the cars I saw were 2022 or newer. The guys were all very professional and knowledgeable. Amir is very good at his job and wants to make sure customer is satisfied.

Great experience! Shuttle picked me up from terminal quickly and registration was a breeze. The car was in immaculate condition and drove without issue. Returning was just as easy as picking up and the shuttle was waiting to return me to the airport and even dropped me off at a spot that wasnt nearly as crowded as the normal departure drop off, saving me time getting thru security. Couldn't have asked for more and will use them again.

Rented here a few times and never have any issues. They’re always super busy and Amir seems to usually be the person handling a lot of the work. The guy works very hard and never complains. Had a great experience with USave Orange County. Read the reviews and came prepared with a copy of my insurance card. Shuttle was there right away to pick us up, driver who was also the office staff, was very friendly. Read fine print of your contract so you know where to locate the shuttle and the number to call, because it is not on airport property. Last shuttle is at 4:00 pm so be aware of that for your return flight. Car was clean. Everything worked our perfectly, couldn’t have been happier.

Amir was WONDERFUL from the time we arrived at the airport (about a 15 min wait for their shuttle) to the time we dropped the car off. He personally took care of us right away when we arrived at the office and gave us a car with 14 miles on it. Then when we arrived back, he brought the shuttle to the car so we didn’t have to carry luggage all over. The ride to the airport was about five minutes and he inquired about our trip and was knowledgeable about the area. Will definitely rent from them again. A personalized experience and even though located off the airport, faster than the big names to get out of the gate and to the airport. Thanks!!!

It's a very small business, looked like it was run by a couple people, so don't expect super fast service. However, it only cost us about 15 extra minutes on each end of the trip compared to a major rental service. We rented a compact car for 2 days. What we got was a brand new car (literally, less than 20 miles on it) at a cost of about $35 TOTAL. The rest of their fleet looked good quality too.
Keep in mind this is for a local rental only. They will charge extra if you average more than 200 miles per day and/or leave the state. This is plenty for traveling around SoCal so long as you aren't making too many cross county trips. Most of the poor reviews are due to people not noticing this fine print and taking the car to Vegas. Do not do that.

Great car rates and great service! Once i arrived at the airport, I called for a shuttle to rental place, they arrived in minutes. The guy who picked me was very nice and even gave me a few suggestions of places to check out. Once i arrived at Usave (only 2min drive from airport) Amir helped me out, very friendly and great customer service, And was super helpful when I needed to extend my rental, no issues at all. There rates were WAY cheaper than other rental places at airport. Car was nice and clean when I got it. Wow! What great service at extremely competitive prices. Amir and Dorothy were so friendly, helpful and kind. I live in north OC but found myself needing to rent a car since my car was in a nearby repair shop and they discovered they needed it overnight during repairs. I checked prices and availability via Priceline and especially considering proximity to John Wayne Airport, I was incredibly impressed that the prices were so low. I booked a car for same day. Check out was very smooth. Amir was knowledgeable and helpful, plus super friendly. It’s great to deal with someone so nice when it could have been a stressful situation. Dorothy pulled the car up for me and walked me through the inspection. She is also a very sweet person. I know that car rental agencies can become super busy and some unscrupulous agents gouge you on price, but it’s apparent that these folks care about quality service and do their best to please. I highly recommend U-Save Costa Mesa without equivocation. Great job!

I rarely write reviews, but I had a really great experience with U-Save and I wanted to share.
First, the place had the best rates available. I usually don’t like going off airport because of the extra time, delays and inconvenience of shuttle busses. But to my amazement U-Save was faster than on site car rental. The place has the vibe of a family run business, and the service was attentive, personal and very efficient. There was no pressure to buy insurance, I got my car in just a few minutes, and after dropping off the car the guy personally gave me a ride to the airport, without me having to wait for a full van load.
Next time I’m in Santa Ana / John Wayne, I’m starting with U-Save.

Amir and Mark were perfect! All rental agencies at the airport were booked, so I came across this place just a half a mile away. They have a shuttle that picks you up from the airport between pillar 4 and 5 at John Wayne (by the taxis) every 10 mins. Amir is extremely friendly and courteous. And Mark tells you straight up what to expect on your pricing, he even guides you with toll road prices. I'm using them again when I return in January! I'm a non-local who came from Oregon.

The driver was friendly and knowledgeable and our car was clean and low mileage. Amir drove us to the airport on our return in our rental car which was efficient. We worked with Amir and Dorothy and they were amazing people with BIG hearts and all about their business and providing perfect customer service. They shuttle you from the air port to their business and then on return day they shuttle you back to air port. This is just a great spot. It is off the Air port campus But they most definitely pick you up in a very quick and timely manner! Choose them! We booked online, the price was exact.we booked twice with them and the only reason we paid more the initial time, (only $50 more), was because they Educated us on the tolls, online it didn’t tell us. He did give option to decline it, but for $12.50 a day for all the tolls, completely worth it. He saved us money and was very considerate.

Booked via Orbitz because the daily rate was SO competitive!! I rented Friday - Monday (compact car, no additional insurance for under $50!). Dorothy (shuttle driver) came to SNA within 15 min of calling (probably would have gotten there earlier if I hadn't arrived during peak rush hour) and was so friendly and cheerful! Shuttle mini van was very clean and the rental location was probably less than 10 min away from the airport.
Car that was assigned to me was Toyota Corolla, very new and clean as well. The breaks were in great condition. It was the perfect car for my weekend trip and the customer service at U-Save was great! Would rent with them again. Thank you!

This is a seemingly small off-airport car rental shop. It is close by...it's just on the other side of the airport runway. The BIGGEST thing to be aware of is the hours of operation. They close at 5pm, so you cannot pick up a car after 4:30, nor get a ride back to the airport after then. There is a key dropbox but you have to get a ride to the airport by cab after the office closes. They were upfront about this so it wasn't as much of a surprise and their hours are clearly listed. The van driver, Dorothy, was great! So friendly and helpful. The most important thing was that the car was fairly new, fuel efficient and worked perfectly. That's what you are paying for, and they came through on that part.

Great service from U-save! This was my first experience of renting a car. The person in-charge at the Costa Mesa site, Amir is a very friendly person. He gave me the best possible car that he had at that time. One more thing that I need to mention "SUPER RELIABLE". I forgot my wallet on the counter of the site and left the place. I reached home and Amir called me on my phone that I have left my wallet at their office. I rushed back and found all my cards in the wallet. I usually carry all the bank cards and cash in my wallet with my driving license. So getting it back was a huge relief! He also gave me a friendly suggestion of not to carry such a big fat wallet, which I am doing these days. Overall its a great experience and hospitality from the rental team. I would recommend everyone to get rental cars from the U-save Costa Mesa site. Enjoy!

A family owned business with incredibly friendly family staff. It was a pleasure to rent from them start to finish, with one of the staff members even giving me a ride to the airport after they had closed.
