They list airport parking all over the internet. Made a reservation and the guy completely denied/would not honor it after showing up. Can only imagine similar if staying here. Shady place, avoid.
I stayed with my kids here last year never had an issue. Recently I stayed over night and the blankets and pillows was dirty. When making reservations I was not told that I had to make a deposit of $200.00 for the room. When I got there the front desk auditor was rude and on the phone while I was checking in. She also asked to about me paying a deposit. I use to work at the quality in on broad Street and our rooms was much cleaner than at this location. Im very displeased with what I had experienced.
I've never seen like this hotel. Don't stay here. You can find bugs you can't use wi-fi. you can take shower hardly.
The place was nice but the they dont like like to let people. Get regular rooms they will give handicap room first then regular room after handicap is sold out
Good for a quick layover or a comfortable stay/vacation!!
I am a nurse Intern and stayed at this hotel. Where do I start I have stayed in quite a few hotels while quarantining after working on a unit. THIS hotel is by far my NUMBER 1 pick. Not only was my room clean and spotless, the housekeeper was finishing the last touches to my room she didn't know I was coming up and to see the detail she was taking even when someone was watching and she didn't know made me so happy about my stay. She was so polite and diligent with the cleaning. THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN SLEEPING AND SMELLING BLECH ON YOUR COMFORTOR "the power of clean". and the bed, tv, the space of the room was 100% perfect. the best sleep I had had in ANY room. Now lets talk about Ms. Brenda She was truly a Godsent. She checked me in even though I was a little early. She gave me a complimentary room for my service for the night after I have abruptly fell asleep sitting on the couch waiting for my room.(had a rough shift) Even if she had not done that, I would still say the same thing in my review. There is nothing worse than being away from your family but she you can be comfortable where you lay your head even if for a day or 9 hours. NOTHING is easier on your heart when it shows up this way. Thankyou to the staff and I will be staying again 1st choice.
I swear within 10 minutes of laying down with my hand under my pillow I feel a bite flip the pillow over and a very mature bed bug full of blood. Front desk was very calm but was told nothing can be done.
I had the worst experience here. Staff called the cops on me and kicked me out at 10 pm at night with nowhere to go, after 26 hours of flying. My story:
I had to rush home to VA from New Zealand where I live after my dad had a COVID19 scare and was rushed to the hospital in VA and was intubated and on a ventilator. As soon as I heard the news, I booked my flights and then searched for a place to stay. From New Zealand, I called the front desk of this hotel on Sunday 29 March 2020 at 12:11 and explained the situation in full. I talked to a guy who said it was totally fine for me to stay in the hotel after traveling from NZ (NZ --> LAX --> Cleveland --> Richmond).
I was a wreck when I arrived--it was 10 pm or later, I was by myself, had traveled for 26 hours sleepless hours during a pandemic, my dad was in the ICU and I thought he was going to die, my mom and sibling had probably been exposed to the virus too. All I wanted was to shower and sleep.
When I checked into the hotel, I again asked if it was ok to stay after explaining my situation. I asked them to make a note not to give me any maid service as I didn't want anyone in my room potentially infecting me. The woman at the front desk again said it was OK and they took my money.
I went to my room which, upon immediate inspection, had bits of hair in many places and dirty corners--they clearly do not clean thoroughly. I also could hear the people next door and their TVs clearly. I didn't care though--I was so tired. I wiped everything down I could with the cleaners and hand sanitizers I had brought and started my shower. This is where it got scary.
While I was in the shower, I thought I heard something at my door but I couldn't hear it very well. I just thought maybe someone had the wrong room--I wasn't expecting anyone and had told the front desk that I didn't want any visitors.
When I got out of the shower, I knew something was wrong. Someone was banging on my door like they were trying to bust it down, yelling, and opening the door with a key card (I had the emergency lock on so they couldn't get in all the way, though). Mind you I was undressed, a woman, alone in my room, and not expecting anyone, and someone was opening my door. I heard "Henrico Police, open up!" and, in my towel, immediately asked what was wrong, if they had the right room. The police said that the hotel manager was trying to get ahold of me. The manager told me I needed to go to a hospital to get tested or leave. Again, I was alone, I had no car, had just traveled 26 hours worried about my dad dying, and here I was undressed and getting kicked out of my hotel room. I said I didn't have a way to get to a hospital (plus it takes 5-7 days to get results, so what was that going to do?!?).
New Zealand has always had fewer COVID cases then the US . At the time, we had less than 50 cases while the US had over 100,000. As such, I was a much lower risk than almost anyone, especially other Americans.
I tried to explain the above, and that I had called and asked before booking the hotel, and had asked at the front desk upon check in, and they said they didn't care. Hospital or leave, near midnight, with 2 heavy suitcases, no car, and nowhere to go except the streets.
I left. This was easily one of the worst times of my entire life and they made it so much worse. I was lucky that the hotel next door (the Fairfield) understood that I was low risk compared to any other guests from other countries (including other Americans) and let me stay. I was and have stayed healthy, but they have lost a customer for life.
Shame on you, Quality Inn!
Ugh. So noisy! I think locals must come here to party on the weekends; no regards for the folks who have early flights. AND my daughter got bedbug bites. Not surprising since the room was really dirty. Some else’s dirty washcloth and towel were still in the room when we checked in. And an old kleenex was under the chair. Not ever staying here again.
They were all helpful and friendly. The place is nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. They also have good breakfast.
Things can always be better, but do to the gentleman at the front lack of knowledge who owns the Quality Inn, plus his attitude, wow. The person at the front desk make your stay more inviting and warm and welcomed.. Ather having over 18 years of Hospitality experience, in three and four star hotels, I believe this statement is important in many different work environments..
Nice and neat hotel that doesn't break bank.
Loved it. Everybody is nice there
Enjoyed my stay! Friendly staff! Great breakfast! Centrally located by shops and many eateries.
Clean, but old and dark. Closet door stuck halfway. Tears in carpet. Breakfast was amazing though.
So I happened to need to stay the night for an early morning flight without realizing that it was the weekend of the Richmond Marathon. That said; everything was booked completely full everywhere I checked. I stop at this hotel which was also booked and could not be more impressed with the extra mile the management went in order to find a room to accommodate my wife, my son and myself. I will spare the details but will say I'm certain I would not have gotten a room anywhere remotely near the airport had I not came by this hotel. Thank you again for going above and beyond.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, fast service, convenient location, very affordable! It’s always scary making reservations in a new area because you never know what you may get however, I can tell you, book here and you won’t be disappointed. I was so pleased by this location, on the next stop of my trip, I booked another Quality Inn. BOTH were excellent. The ONLY negative is there was no elevator, but don’t worry there’s only two floors 🙂
Very nice and accommodating. Comfy beds, good tv selections. Great shuttle service.
Wonderful lady at the front desk, staff was outstanding.. A great experience, breakfast was awesome. Hope to see the same staff, when we.visit again. God bless them.
Mediocre at best; definitely not worth what they're charging for a room. The hotel was clean overall, but I honestly felt as though the bed made me itch. Staff were friendly and helpful
They just finished renovations when we got there, so there were some minor things that I didn't like. They were still repainting some of the chairs in the lobby and the railings in the stairwell, and they didn't have an elevator for guests to use for big luggage or for bigger guests that aren't able to take the stairs. There was no elevator at all. But overall, I had a GREAT weekend at this hotel!! The housekeeping staff was great and very thorough with their cleaning, the staff always welcomed us with a smile and positive attitude, the continental breakfast was surprisingly very good, yet basic but also very satisfying. I would just suggest getting an elevator to accommodate all of your guests and also to expand your parking lot.
For the price, I can’t complain much. Our night at the hotel was good, although not exceptional. The room was kind of clean (kind of in we found a hair of two in the bed but everything else was a above 2* hotel grade cleanness.) Our king size bed was okay and the room was good.
The staff working over there is great.
