I have stayed at Marriott properties for 25 years and over1,400 nights. NEVER, have I observed a GM more engaged with his guests. Charles Watts, GM, actually drove himself to pick me up off site in a shuttle to bring me to the property. This fine example of excellent leadership is obviously contagious as each staff member at this property has a similar outlook to create an excellent experience for each guest.

Pros: large, up to date, nice size room, friendly house keeping, restaurant inside hotel, bar & lounge available as well.

Cons: limited parking, Kevin at front desk is rude, they charge a 50$ deposit per night.

10/10 every day of the week. This hotel will be my first option when I visit Houston again. Service was absolutely exceptional from the front desk, housekeeping and restaurant.



Very clean with employees cleaning throughout the day. Rooms are spotless and bathrooms are updated with great showers and water pressure. The only issue I had with the rooms were the windows that visibly dirty but not a big deal at all.



Workout room(s) are brand new with new machines and the pool area is very clean with a heated pool.

I stayed here for a work trip and I have to say it was a very pleasant stay. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. And the rooms were spotless. The gym is small but has what you need for a quick hotel work out. The restaurant has a decent dinner menu. I would stay away from breakfast. It’s 18$ plus tax and it only has the basic stuff that a free continental breakfast offers.

Front desk was professional, respectful, appreciative. Restaurant/bar personnel were most pleasant and accommodating. Even the housekeeping staff that we spoke with were eager to wish us well. Lounge was well-stocked. Breakfast was delicious. Parking area was fenced, gated...seemed safe. We'll be back.

Flight got canceled so I ended up here for the night. Really close to Hobby. Lobby looks nice. Staff are pleasant and responsive. Room could have been a little cleaner. There were some odd bits of heck knows what stuck to the walls at just above eye level. Sheets smelled clean. Shower was nice. Beds are hard as a rock imho but I do like them softer than most so that's on me I suppose

This hotel is nicely renovated recently but still shows signs of significant age. Beds were a bit hard, curtains showing some signs of wear, and the room lighting was kinda dim. But good Marriott experience, lounge and breakfast was great. Good experience overall for a single night airport stay, not sure if I'd stay days at a time though.

Your entire staff was so friendly and accommodating. First time I’ve stayed at your location. My first interaction was with a the Assistant Manager that offered me help when I wasn’t even staying at your location. That really impressed me, so I thought I’d give your hotel a try. I wasn’t disappointed. You have an outstanding staff from my van drivers to front desk workers to the breakfast staff. Everyone was so pleasant. I plan to stay there when I’m back in Houston and will definitely recommend to everyone.

The rooms are very nice. Updated, comfy bed, nice bathroom, etc. But best part is their amazing staff. Ken the van driver was great, Lonee at the front desk was amazing. He should be a smooth jazz d.j. I even met the hotel comptroller Gloria. She is terrific and this properties finances are well cared for. And finally Yang and Judy were a great team in the bar. Bed good, food good, people good.

I did not stay here but each time I were travel out of Hobby Airport. I booked my parking here. The lot are self parking and they have a shuttle bus take you to the airport from and back. The price are right and I enjoyed parking here.The staffs are nice and friendly. The inside of the hotel are cleaned.

Desiree was my waitress and she was absolutely wonderful. She appeared to be the only one working the floor but that did not hinder her providing excellent service. She was very nice and friendly and she all six orders at the table correct the first go around!

It's a very nice hotel. Huge lobby and open view of the rooms from the inside. They are using a nice setup for their TV entertainment with options for free streaming and exclusive channels. Rooms were clean and orderly and the showers have an overhead and handheld sprayer. Large windows to let sunlight in in the morning.

Was only there for a two day workshop & everything was excellent. The concierge made sure we had all the extra support as needed. Copies, extra pens and note sheets, the coffee and tea pots stayed full. Works attendees were able purchase a good breakfast. We will have our next workshop there for sure!

This hotel is significantly better than most in the area. Extremely clean and updated, the entire staff seems completely focused on customer service and making sure everything you need is taken care of. The front desk team was exceptional and provided the quickest check-in time in recent memory. The restaurant provided quick and flavorful food at a very reasonable price for a Metro Airport Hotel. l The only comment I would make that is remotely negative would be the lack of a microwave in the room. Although this is relatively insignificant, it's slightly inconvenient to need to go to the lobby to utilize a microwave for popcorn.

Make this your Marriott of choice if you need to be close to the airport.

o we were assigned rooms right next to the elevator, but we didn’t hear the elevator at all nor were we bothered much by it, thankfully.

o the rooms should have been fit for four people per our reservation, but both rooms only had two sets of towels. However, the staff were quick to respond and bring up the other two sets for each room. (I wish they’d been fitted when we got there.)

o Also, we specifically needed the sofa beds for our reservation, but linens for both sofa beds were not included in the room at all. We had to request all those items, though the staff was able to bring them up to our room for us which was a great help. I do wish those linens had been included in the room, especially knowing our reservation required them.

-The water pressure was mediocre, but the fixtures were nice.

-The cappuccino machine was broken in the M Lounge, which was a huge disappointment.

-The M Lounge was a bit of a disappointment in general. The vibe was nice, but all they offered was some pretzels, goldfish crackers, Chex mix, and gummy bears.. plus some waters and cans of Pepsi. I’ve been at M Club lounges that offer packaged snacks plus finger foods throughout the day. I was expecting the same kind of service, but was so disappointed.

-parking was supposed to be $11.99/day, but I was never asked to swipe my card.. I have to go back and check what they charged me. They told me I would have to pay two days worth per room ($25x2 rooms) just for our one overnight, which felt like robbery, to be honest. Why wouldn’t one vehicle be included in the price for each room? If they charged me extra, I will come back and remove an additional star.

o however, purchasing M Club access did afford us “free” breakfast buffet, so for our families of four, it was probably worth it.

- the breakfast buffet felt quite a bit lacking. No waffle machine—only toast, bagels, muffins & croissants. The cantaloupe tasted fermented, like it’d been left out too long. The yogurt & cereal options also felt limited. We couldn’t have chocolate milk from the cappuccino machine, so we all had plain water.. I didn’t see juice offered anywhere.

-the pool was closed the day we stayed “for cleaning.” We stayed Saturday-Sunday, and they were cleaning it on a Saturday. Maybe reconsidering the schedule so it is cleaned in advance for guests on the weekend.



One entire star removed for breakfast. Half a star for the other items.. I’ll come back after I review my bill. Otherwise a good stay.

Hotel shuttle runs 24/7 every 30 minutes! Never found that benefit at any other hotel I stayed during my travels. That's an excellent feature!



Personnel are first class at the front counter and breakfast room!

I spend a lot of time at this hotel, mostly for work. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The recent renovations in the building have kept this with a modern look. The beds are comfortable and the location is great if your'e traveling out of Hobby Airport. A quick shout out to my favorite staff members: Yang and Judy at the bar are fantastic. Sandra at breakfast in the morning always has a great smile with her great service. Kingsley and Lonnie at the desk always make me feel at home away from home. I would recommend this hotel for any occasion you have in Houston.

I don't know if words can express how pleased I am with this hotel, but I'm going to try. After landing at Hobby International Airport I called the original hotel I was booked with (Days Inn) for a shuttle only to be told they canceled my reservation hours before my check in time and then sold the rooms I had booked to someone else. Talk about a moment of panic and anger. I then called this Mariott, and Lonnie answered. I told him our situation, and he understood the stress we were in and reassured us he would get us taken care of. He let us know the shuttle was on the way to get us, and when we arrived, he immediately greeted us. He got us checked and to our rooms and truly went above and beyond, showing he genuinely cared. We still had other people coming in the next day still booked at the other hotel but because of the situation we had and how well Lonnie handled our situation we canceled the other bookings still at the other hotel and re-booked them for this Marriott. On top of it, Charles, the manager, was also super helpful, and they both did way more than I would ever expect just to make us feel welcomed. They stepped up for an issue that wasn't even theirs, an issue from another hotel, and treated us with nothing but kindness. Thank you for taking a situation that filled us with stress and turning it into an amazing start to our groups vacation. If I could give more stars, I would because you all are absolutely amazing.

Very clean and quiet. Exceptionally nice staff...every person I encountered including front desk, manager, restaurant staff, shuttle drivers, housekeeping...were friendly and helpful. Even the hotel guests were super nice!

The rooms were clean, but need an update (including outlets on either side of the bed). No water bottles in the room, but I was told that would soon be changing. The breakfast buffet is very expensive for the quality (they have plenty of food, but it is basically the same as what is offered for free at other Marriott brands I've stayed at).

I stayed here for a convention held in the hotel. The staff from pickup at the airport to drop off at the airport is exceptional. Everyone is courteous and generous with helping you feel right at home. Every time you see a staff member you are greeted with a smile and a can-do attitude. Because the hotel is a bit of an oasis (ie: not much in the immediate area) they have good food service on site. The "kitchen" is a bit limited (no bathroom supplies) but it's good for a quick snack. I had the buffet for breakfast and lunch with a reasonably good selection of food.



I stayed here a couple of years ago and the hotel was renovated very recently. The updated rooms are exceptionally comfortable. The shower was amazing, great flow of water...



If you need something near the Hobby airport, this is a good one to go with.

Was in Houston for a quick business trip and stayed at the Marriott Houston South at Hobby.

Everything about my stay was fantastic. I utilized the airport shuttle, the drivers prompt and courteous. The front desk staff was amazing during check-in and check-out. Very professional and efficient staff.

The room I had was modern and everything was in good working order. Everything was very clean inside my room and all throughout the hotel.

Highly recommend if you’re in the Houston area!

But most of all...I love the immediate attention I got from the General Manager when I did have a need. He was on it and quickly resolved everything. The entire staff at the Marriott Hobby Airport hotel are amazing. Lonnie and Mr. Kingsley always checks us in and accommodates us with no problems. Ms. Julia and Desiree have been our waitresses for the past 3 years and they're so sweet. Yang makes the best drinks at the bar too. The hotel is super clean, nice and quiet. The food is great as well.

Love love love this hotel where do I start .there is plenty of parking so you don’t have to worry about not having a spot and mister Jo The security guard is the best he’s nice and friendly Definitely makes you feel safe parking there. Then when you go inside, you’ll be greeted by the sweetest lady and gentlemen, they mack checking in a breeze they are very welcoming and friendly, and answered all my questions And the manager even helped out at the front desk when they are Busy, which you don’t see Often in a hotel shows that he is a great manager and cares about his team I stayed there Friday night and the room was amazing super clean and the bed was very comfortable and the view from our room was fabulous. Definitely wish I could’ve stayed longer, but as they were sold out the next night so I came back Sunday night. Instead And I thought It couldn’t get better than that it but it did Sunday was even better The amazing staff was there smiling and welcoming everyone in will recommend this hotel to everyone I know staying in Houston or nearby and this is our favorite hotel. We come once a month to Galveston to the beach and we will be staying here for now on. thank you to all the staff and everyone for making our stay amazing we definitely appreciate y’all and all the hard work y’all do :) :)

I really enjoyed my stay at the Houston Marriott South at Hobby Airport on Father’s Day! My favorite experience was definitely at the hotel restaurant. Darlington, Desiree, and Ruby were great! Ruby even let me change the channel to watch the game I wanted to watch while I enjoyed my meal.



They were a lot of fun and I’ll be booking another stay very soon because I enjoyed them so much! Blame it on the Tito’s!

The Marriott South at Hobby Airport is a good location, even if you are heading downtown for a convention. Although it's a 20 minute ride with traffic, it goes quickly and parking is free so you don't feel like you're paying twice. The staff are extremely helpful and so nice that I would stay here again just for that aspect of the hotel. This Marriott has an M-concierge lounge which was very nice and open 24 hours. If your rewards membership offers a free breakfast, they provide you the regular buffet which was awesome and really good. Overall, I stayed with another coworker and although we were skeptical about location when we booked we ended up both saying we would definitely stay here again.

I attended a conference at the Houston Marriott Hobby. First, location is perfect only minutes away from the airport and the hotel has a shuttle that travels to and from the airport at the top of the hour. The rooms are newly renovated, and I am picky with the cleanliness, but was very happy with the entire room. It was pristine! The best part of the visit was definitely the staff- especially the ladies at breakfast and the coffee shop. Sandra learned my drink of choice the first time I ordered it, and I was floored when she repeated the drink the second day without me having to ask for it. She was AMAZING. I have not encountered someone who has that kind of memory and is so engaging and sweet. If you think of hospitality, you think of Sandra. The other two ladies Jennifer and Imelda were also fantastic, very cordial and thoughtful. Even though I was traveling for work, I still enjoyed my time there. The General Manager was constantly walking around and you could see his commitment to making every guest feel welcome. Fantastic hotel!

A very pleasant stay. We typically stay around 200+ nights at a Marriott each year. This property stands above most others in the same price range.

The hotel is a bit dated, but only enough to offer a vintage feel. Which I absolutely loved.

Check in experience was fabulous, I actually felt appreciated as an Ambassador Elite. We were offered lounge access and found it always stocked with complimentary snacks, they have the BEST gummy bears 😋

Our suite was clean. When our a/c decided it didn't want to shut off and was too cold, engineering was there quickly to fix it for us.

We were driving a branded vechile for work, so previous reviews had me a bit nervous but the lot was extremely secure and offers Lot Cop cameras.

The general manager took time to reach out and personally thank us for our stay.

I stayed here with a friend over the weekend and when I say I had a blast. TRAVIS at the front desk took good care of us every step of the way! He provided great service and the guy is funny. He kept us very much entertained and works his tail off making sure every guest was taken care over the weekend. I saw him working in the restaurant and the front desk going back and forward helping everyone! Great service I will be returning! Everything was great!

My stay at this hotel for my best friend‘s wedding was truly amazing experience. Madison Everett was an incredible help facilitating the event and weekend. Anyone considering staying there or hosting an event or party should definitely reach out to her as I believe she is the best sales manager on site.

I have absolutely enjoyed my stay at this fine Hotel ! Accommodations have been awesome, service has been wonderful, the location is perfect .. 👌 of course we didn't leave the Hotel for anything as everything we needed has been right within reach. The staff has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were pampered.

We are here for a Christian conference and the staff has literally made themselves available for all our needs as well as questions !

I feel like I could just live here and never leave, that's just how at home I have been ..

Great hotel! The rooms are brand new, stylish, clean and modern. Very comfortable beds and king size pillows. Great bathroom, shower and large amenities.



I arrived after midnight and the shuttle was prompt, friendly driver and quick ride to the hotel. The front desk staff was friendly and my check in was fast.



Each day housekeeping cleaned my room very well. It’s great to come back to my room after a long day of work and find the bed impeccably made and fresh towels in the bathroom.

I recently stayed at the Houston Marriott South at Hobby Airport for my mom's birthday wish to see Joel Osteen, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The customer service was phenomenal—everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful.



The shuttle service to and from the airport was always dependable, making our travels seamless. The drive to downtown was quick and convenient.



What truly surprised me was the dining experience. The food was better than any restaurant I tried in Houston—each dish was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. Our rooms were clean and spacious, providing a perfect retreat after a long day.



I’m so thankful for the wonderful hospitality that made our stay memorable! I will be back again

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Houston Marriott South for a business conference and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made me feel right at home. The staff went above and beyond and their personable and attentive nature truly set this hotel apart. Every interaction, from the front desk to the banquet staff (shout out to Lucia for being such a kind soul!), was met with a genuine desire to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was evident that the entire team took pride in their work and genuinely cared about the guests' experience. The hotel itself was immaculate. It has recently undergone a remodel, and the lobby is simply stunning. It is clear that the hotel management takes great care in creating a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment for their guests. One standout feature of my stay was the presence of the General Manager, Charles. It was refreshing to see a manager actively engaged with his team and guests. Charles was not only approachable and friendly but also incredibly attentive to every need. My sincere thanks to the entire team at the Houston Marriott South for making my visit so special. I cannot wait to return in the future!

First time staying at his hotel. I was here 2 days for our company training. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff very friendly and personable. Meeting rooms were really nice, food presentation was beautiful! Loved everything about my stay. I will definitely stay here when I come to Houston outside of work. Great Hotel

Was there for a two week period and, admittedly, had a very nice stay. The one call out was the hotel food. I’ve been a Marriott member for many, many years and, although the food isn’t bad at the hotels, it isn’t what I would define has really good. I was pleasantly surprised during this stay as my meals were really very good! Well done Marriott and thank you for the enjoyable stay!

I stay here at this hotel quite a bit for work. So much that a lot of the staff have felt like a little family away from home. I can not express enough how wonderful all the staff are at this place. Big shout out to a few specific people. Julia in the restaurant is such a joyful, energetic, caring and sweet person. She has a laugh & energy that contagious! Luis, also in the restaurant, is always so kind and quick on his feet. Kingsley, works the front desk, has always been so helpful, very sweet a has one of the greatest souls. Being away from home all the time is hard, but everyone here makes it better. The beds are always super comfy, showers are nice and the breakfast is on point! Thank you to the staff for always being comforting during my stay.

I have spent nearly two months (off and on) here for work in the last 6 months, staying in the hotel and using the conference center. Every single staff member has been amazing, often going above and beyond for us. Everyone - front desk, sales, custodial staff, food service, maintenance. I’ve had literally hundreds of interactions with staff and they all deserve glowing reviews.



The meetings rooms are always clean and organized exactly how we need them.



The hotel rooms are beautifully remodeled and comfortable, even for extended stays.



The food is fantastic, but if you want to eat outside of the hotel, there are also tons of places a short hop away.

My family and I had a flight cancellation and ended up here for 5 days. The city was freezing the power was out for most the stay. General Manager Charles and his staff did an incredible job taking care of us and the other guests. I’m so impressed with the crew for helping us through a very difficult time. Charles went above and beyond helping guests while dealing with a flurry of issues at the hotel. Good job guys THANK YOU

My experience was fabulous and I am forever grateful for the staff at this hotel!



I was in such a pickle with no vehicle and not sure if the area was safe to walk ,but nearest store was 3 miles. I had forgotten my iphone charger and phone was about to die. I went downstairs and the GM Charles was by the front desk and I asked for help. He was so generous and let me use his personal charger! Without my phone I would not have been able to line up my ride for my business meeting.



Also, the front desk representative the night I arrived was superb. I got in late and as soon as I walked in my room I noticed the maids had not finished and there were no sheets on the bed. I called down and said if I could get sheets I would make the bed but he would not allow that. He immediately placed me in another room and gave me a complimentary breakfast.



I have no complaints. It again was a great experience and I will definitely be back when I come to this area.
