Economy Parking - Tampa International Airport

Tampa International Airport is definitely one of the easiest airports to navigate. The airport offers one hour of free parking, which makes pickups and arrivals quick and easy. Additionally, there is a dedicated level for Uber and Lyft pickups, which helps to streamline the process. The lines for TSA and PreTSA are not very long, which is fantastic. The only downside is that the airport food is quite expensive, so it's recommended to eat before arriving.

Tampa international airport is a very nice and well-organized airport. Be sure to use the Tampa airport online app, it is easy to use and everything is outlined. The airport is divided by individual boarding areas called "Airside A", B, C, D... The terminals are bright and well-lit. Each one of the Airside terminals has a good selection of restaurants and amenities.

One of the most pleasant, easy, clean and convenient airport ever and I've been through many. From entry to plane loading , and even when busy it is truly a pleasure and a good beginning to wherever your destination may be. Love it and this is from someone who hates flying 😉

This is my home airport. I fly about 25-30x per year. I can’t rant and rave about TPA enough. The service is spectacular. They are always updating restaurants, restrooms, parking areas, and everything else you can thing of. The amenities and all of the terminals are top notch. In the main area that connects the different terminals has quick services and sit down restaurants and shopping and relaxing areas. They also have outdoor sitting areas if you want fresh air.

Big airport but run smoothly. Nicely decorated and plenty of eateries to choose from. When we landed and made it to baggage claim our bags were coming out. So we didn't have to wait forever for our bags. We rented a car and had to take the shuttle seemed like a ways away but good signage which made navigation a breeze to get to where we needed to go.

July 29, 2022- Cute airport with a couple of food and gift shop options. Bathroom was clean but handicap accessible bathroom had a broken lock on the door. There was a baby changing station located in the women’s bathroom. There are ATM machines. I flew through Frontier for the first time. Flight attendants had bad attitudes. Also, everything costs. Baggage carry on luggage was $89 at the gate. Drinks were $3.25. They had snacks available ranging from $4-$13 with a drink.

Attractive airport and laid out very efficiently. Easy in and out on my first visit to Tampa. I utilized the trains for both terminal and car rental facility connections; I never waited more than just a few minutes. Terminal C had great dining choices and excellent runway views to please this aviation geek.

Tampa International Airport is such a crisp and clean design! Very impressed with the cell phone lot—it felt like the drive-in with the 2 big billboards (just could use better snacks than vending machines). It would be nice if there was a big airport map (you are here and arrival/departure info) on the outside wall beside the washrooms. By the way, the washrooms were super clean too! Toronto-Pearson should take note!

I’m a big fan of this airport. Yes, it is a little confusing knowing where to go to find a shuttle to your terminal, but after a few times coming through the airport, it is really laid out well, kept very clean, and has plenty of space so that it never feels crowded.



There are plenty of really good dining options within the airport both inside the terminal as well as just outside the terminals. Inside the terminal, there are dozens of restaurants and shops to get snacks and food.



Outside the terminal at the main hub, there are more restaurants and there is even a full PF Changs inside!



To get to the rental car Center, it is a little bit complicated. You don’t go downstairs to baggage claim. Rather, stay on the main level and continue all the way to the other end where are you take an escalator up to get to a train. That train will take you to both the economy parking lot as well as the rental car center.



The rental car center is the best out of any of the airports I’ve rented a car at. It’s a massive building that has every car rental company you could think of. Giant signs for each company hang from the walls, and there is plenty of space to go get rental cars.

This is one of the cleanest and spacious terminals I have ever been in. The gate area waiting lounges are huge. You never have that crowded feeling you get in other airports. The shuttles to the gates are frequent and fast. TSA does a great professional job processing travelers.



One of the most efficient areas is the passenger pickup areas and the cell phone lot. The traffic folks really keep the “waiters” from hogging the pickup area. The cell phone lot is huge with large boards on arrivals. By comparison to Orlando several years ago where it was a nightmare in picking up baggage getting to the pickup area and seeing that area totally clogged with people that refuse to use the cell phone lot and just continue to circle around. Tampa is a dream come true. Keep up the good work Tampa!

Live this airport. Medium sized, easy to get in and out. Domestic and international flights. There is cell phone park Very convenient before the terminal. Short and long term parking and a few private companies operating private parking nearby.

Now if you don’t have luggage you can go to express exit area, not crowded and easy pick up.great signage and clean bathrooms. Recent huge renovation and extension.👍🏼

Not overwhelming, clean, bright, pleasant, lively. Great signage for directions. Love the tram saves alot of walking (or running). Great food at Hard Rock Cafe. Roomy, cozy, excellent friendly service. Not like a normal airport restaurant, great respite with large open setting area. Recommend the nachos and Buffalo wings. Shops have plenty of pricy choices. Parking is short, our Escallade barely fit height wise. Order food from app as soon as you get there

I always love flying through Tampa Airport. Things always seem to run smoothly! It is easy to get to any gate quickly with the shuttle. Renting a car is easy to access with the train shuttle that takes you right there. This morning, as my red-eye flight landed, I was greeted with a wonderful sunrise. The uber pick up place is a bit hard to find, but asking around I was able to find it. Perhaps better signage could help.

Tampa international Airport is the perfect prototype for transportation. From the time you enter the door and go to the ticket counter to get your bag tags to the time you step on the plane, you get the best of service.



As a mobility challenged person it is not easy to go from city to city. Southwest airlines handicap assistance has been the best that I have encountered this summer at this location. I had no issues I was taken through TSA and to my gate with care. The attendant had conversation with me and even ask me did I need to visit the restroom before he took me to the gate.



The TSA agents were very careful when handling me. They took it to consideration my needs and accommodated me as best as possible. This Airport has a simple layout and it is easy to get to the gates. It's just a pleasant experience all the way around.

Probably one of the best airports ever!!! Easy to find your way around, restrooms everywhere. Stores, food court, lounging areas are all absolutely great !!! Definitely wanna get here a few hours before your flight so you can take a look around. Tampa has done an incredible job of making this place something worth exploring. Beautiful historic statues, amazing fish tanks to just sit and stare at. Parking is never an issue and there’s always something new to see.

As someone who has traveled through Tampa International Airport for the first time, I have to say that I liked it a lot. During our most recent trip, which was a connecting flight on JetBlue, we were particularly impressed with the airport's convenient layout and modern amenities.



One of the things that really stood out to me was how close my connecting gate was to my arrival gate. It was a huge relief not to have to rush through the airport to catch my next flight. Instead, I was able to simply walk over to the next gate, which made for a stress-free travel experience.



The airport itself is also clean and well-maintained, with a modern design that feels welcoming and comfortable. There are plenty of seating areas throughout the airport, which is especially important during longer layovers. And the variety of food options is truly impressive - whether you're in the mood for a sit-down meal or a quick snack, there's something for everyone.



All in all, I would highly recommend Tampa International Airport to anyone traveling through the area. From its convenient layout to its clean and modern facilities, it's clear that the airport has been designed with the traveler in mind.

This is a fantastic airport - I dare say the best I've been at of any I've visited in the country. It's clean and easy to get around. The recent renovations to the airport are outstanding. It looks beautiful and I really like how they've incorporated local eateries into the restaurant choices. TIA is always striving to make the best possible traveller experience. Well done!

Great airport.. Easy access. Still improving! I've been providing chauffeur transportation out of this airport for 27 years and seen it grown into just a wonderful hub of activity from the train to take people to long-term parking to the improvements to the lobby area it's bright to clean feel secure. The aviation authority works with us Livery companies to make sure that we can provide the best possible service to our clientele and turn they off and comment how nice Tampa international Airport is compared to other airports. Be looking forward to the improvements still to come.

Tampa international Airport is the best and most organized airport that I have traveled in so far. They have a baggage check-in after you return your car. That's before riding the tram going to the terminal, what a bug help that is. I wish international airport around the US would use this model for future airport improvements.

Tampa International is a world class airport. Friendly folks helping you get where you need to go. Good amenities. The most important thing is how easy it is to get from here to there. I use to love the rental cars being across the street from the main terminal, but I am getting use to the new confirmation. All in all it is always a good experience. Excellent planning and exaction.

Airport process was simple and quick to navigate from the gates to the rental car area via train and then also to shuttle to a rental car. Just be careful in renting rental cars that you are choosing one that is on the location of the airport. Ours did not have that option, which we did not know until we got there. But TSA and all of them kept us moving straight through. It was a very steady easy process.

Very clean, modern airport. Lots of individual desks for work and charging devices. The Delta area was well marked and had appropriate signage for departure.



Just be aware if you are renting a vehicle from the rental center it takes 2 different trains/shuttles, 3 different escalators and a bit of walking in between the terminal so give yourself enough time.

Little bit of a biased, opinion here. I'm Tampa born and raised, but even if I wasn't, I'd definitely leave this great review! Tampa international is one of my favorite airports that I've been to. First off, my favorite thing is the efficiency. The airport is designed and organized/ run pretty. Darn good. I feel very safe coming an hour early or even sometimes less knowing how quickly I typically get through TSA (I don't recommend coming with less than an hour. that's just my bad habit of running out of time). I also would like to remark on the cleanliness of the entire airport, Top notch! Going into food and dining, there are tons of amazing options. Before you get to your specific date the main gate area with the flamingo has lots of dining and shopping options. Next topic I would like to remark on would be the artwork. Lots of very cool art pieces throughout the airport, my favorite by far being the flamingo that was newly added a year or two ago I believe. There's lots more compliments than I could go on and on. But that's a good enough to get the point I believe.



Overall, while I was here for a few hours, I couldn't really think of something to critique. Besides, maybe commenting on figuring out how to help your TSA employees smile a little bit more. I'm sure it's a very difficult and monotonous job. But they are also some of the employees that we see and watch the most.

I spend a lot of time at this airport. The set-up for entering, and exiting the airport is easy to follow. Just stay in lane assigned to your airline, and color picked for that airline, there are only two colors, red or blue. I love the curbside pick-up, drop-off option. BUT unless the person or persons your picking up are right at the curb, forget about parking they'll make you move or drive in a circle until they arrive. I suggest you go to parking garage which has free parking for the first hour. Park as close to an elevator as possible, in either red or blue section. Each elevator is named. So when your guest calls, or you call your ride. All you have to do is look for Example; Blue Earhart elevators, and give the level. Funny that's where I was yesterday. 😁 PS. If this is your first time flying in or out of this airport I hope it's a beautiful day! The view from above is breath taking!!

The airport is neat and clean with good connection within terminals, car parks and rental car return. There could have been more signboard from the skytrain to the ticketing place. The security check in C gate was cramped

We never had any problems flying in from Chicago. The airport is always clean & people are friendly, courteous, kind & helpful. Plus with SO many restaurants, bars & specialties stores offered, you could easily miss your flight! But the best was, SOUTHWEST OFFERED 2 FREE PIECES OF LUGGAGE PLUS A CARRY-ON & A BOOK BAG (KNAPSACK)!

This airport is beautiful and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. There’s a PF Changs and a Hard Rock Cafe amongst other restaurants. W Waldo spotted a Chick-fil-A. There are 8 floors total of parking. I live in Miami where the parking lot is a mess. It’s dirty, it smells and the elevators are often broken. Tampa is on the contrary -clean and renewed. There was no chaos which was refreshing.

It's a nice and clean airport. It's kind of big, so if your flight has a short layover (30min), you might have to run fast, especially if the previous is late.

I like that some chairs at some gates even have wireless charging.

I'm really thankful to the security staff or the AA airline that were able to give me back my phone that I left on the plane. I had to run from section c to e to get it back. (Inconvenience of bigger airports)

One of the most modern, efficient, and well-designed airports in the U.S.A. 🇺🇸 Entry to individual groups of gates is controlled by scanning your boarding pass at identified access points. A wide variety of restaurants with lots of space. Clean bathrooms! 🙂 At least one outdoor smoking area located at gate C-30. 💨💨 Announcements on loudspeakers are distinct and you can understand them! This was my first time at Tampa International. It is a huge airport. The only issue was that it was communicated we'll, especially for first time visitors, that you have to take a train/shuttle to baggage claim. Otherwise, it is a great airport to hang out in if you are early for your flight.

Love this airport! It’s so easy to navigate and everyone is always so friendly. Tons of seating in the terminals and there is a good selection of places to eat and shop while waiting for your flight.

A very modern airport.



My first impression a few years ago, was very pleased, and even a little surprised: functional, clean, pleasant.



A few years later, I still think it is.



Then yesterday on a pick up, I discovered it’s cell phone lot.



Wow - this is a whole new level of well designed public facility. As you going in, it’s to your right. It has a big parking lot, bathrooms, vending machines, dog bags, car charging stations, arrival info board…



THANK YOU Tampa.



My last time using JFK … urrrrrhhhh cars waiting to pick their loved ones up, were parked on the side of the roads into the airport, in the airport… it was just dangerous to all, and chaotic.



For this particular pick up, with Southwest: it landed as the schedule: 5:31pm. The passenger is off the plane by 5:39 and we drive off the airport at 5:45.

One of the most efficient, public friendly, and best airports in the nation. The facilities and common areas are very clean and secure. FYI - If you're going through the security general chek-in at American Airlines terminal, the very right line uses the newer CT scan, which means you don't have to take out your laptops or open bags or take off belts, makes it much faster. Ciao

This airport is good, especially after the work area is finished as for departures. There's a shuttle you have take to the gate areas, so if you're accompanying anyone you'll have to leave them on there own. Unless you ask for services to guide them to their gate. Short term parking is free if it's less than an hour, which is a plus! Other than that good airport.

Large and somewhat confusing if you are flying out of there for the first time. Very clean (including the restrooms), lots of shops and restaurants. Large covered parking area with people mover. Traffic in Tampa can cause delays. Fast security screening.

An airport I’ve been flying in and out of since 1995. They’ve improved it dramatically, with great art, better signage and lighting. It’s irritating to have to get on a shuttle, but it’s super efficient.

The airport was easy to navigate. It has a ton of variety for food. The restrooms were not real clean at all. Other than that I was pleased.

One of my favorite airports because it is so easy to navigate. Both arriving and departing. Big airport but does not seem big with trams. I enjoy the really high ceilings and size of terminals. Other airports seemed crapped. Bathrooms always seems clean.
