Offering a range of public art exhibitions and programs, the Hammer is a popular museum and cultural center affiliated with UCLA. It’s located 14 miles east of downtown Los Angeles. Directions & Hours
The museum is three blocks from 405 Fwy; take the Wilshire exit to reach the building. If you’re using GPS, the address for directions is 10899 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90024.
The Hammer is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM, and admission is free.
Garage Parking at the Hammer Museum
The main Hammer Museum parking facility is located under the building, and the two entrances are on Westwood and Glendon Boulevards. All guests can use it for the following prices as long as they get museum validation.

Aside from standard self-parking, the museum offers the following services:
- Valet service on Lindbrook Drive is available for both museum and restaurant guests for $10.
- Accessible parking is obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis in the museum garage. ADA spots are placed across from the lobby entrance on P1 and next to the elevators on P3.
- Bike racks are on the garage’s first level.
Tip: If someone is dropping you off, they can use the Hammer Museum parking garage free of charge for up to 10 minutes.

Alternatively, you can take advantage of on-street metered parking. You’ll find several two-hour spots on Lindbrook Drive, right in front of the museum, as well as on other surrounding streets. If you come across a vacant spot, read the signs carefully to dodge getting a ticket.
Public Transportation Options
Wilshire Boulevard, Lindbrook Drive, and Westwood Boulevard have plenty of public bus stops. For instance, there’s one at the corner of Westwood Blvd. and Lindbrook Dr. (adjacent to the museum) served by Metro buses 233, 602, and 761. Multiple other routes pass near the building, including several LADOT and Big Blue Bus lines.
