Husky Stadium Parking Lots & Tips

Last Updated on October 24, 2023 by Usama

Opened in 1920, Husky Stadium is over 100 years old! It’s situated at 3800 Montlake Blvd NE, Seattle, WA 98195, a short drive northeast of downtown. As a home venue of the Washington Huskies team, the stadium has hosted many football games on the University of Washington campus. If you plan to attend an event soon, Parking Access will take you through the event parking process and help you find the best option. You’ll learn about Husky Stadium parking lots, ticket prices, off-site alternatives, and public transit services in the area.

Husky Stadium Parking Options

The Washington Huskies’ home stadium is surrounded by many visitor parking facilities, including both surface lots and covered parking garages. Public parking for guests without a Husky Stadium parking pass is offered on a first-come, first-served basis in several areas. The lots marked in beige on the map are mainly for full-season parking ticket holders, while the purple lots offer single-game-day parking for the general public. All campus parking lots open six hours before the scheduled Husky football game, and we suggest that you come early to obtain a suitable spot. Check out the map below—or look into the full campus map—to see the locations of all parking structures and south stadium lots.

Any vehicle that exceeds the width of a general parking space, such as utility trailers, must park in the E1 RV lot or E4 parking lot. Drivers of SUVs and trucks can head to the general E1 lot, while charter bus parking is available on Wahkiakum Road. You must purchase a bus parking permit ahead of time by calling (206) 543-2246 or contacting the office at icaevent@uw.edu.

How Much Is Parking at Husky Stadium?

The list below offers event rates for all types of vehicles. Note that an automobile is any vehicle that takes up one regular parking spot, including an SUV and a pick-up truck. RVs and motor homes are vehicles that include restrooms, and the prices for such oversized vehicles are higher.

Vehicle Type Event Parking Rate
Automobile (3 or more passengers) $30
Automobile (less than 3 passengers) $40
Charter bus $100
RV $120
Motor home $120

Cash isn’t accepted, and you can pay with a credit card or via the Pay-By-Phone app. The Padelford Parking Garage, Portage Bay Garage, and E2 Lot accept credit card payments. If you head to another lot, be sure to have the app ready and pay through it. >>Reserve on Vivid Seats

Accessible Parking

You can purchase a single-game ADA parking pass in advance at the Husky Ticket Office or by calling (206) 543-2200. Visitors who don’t reserve parking should head to the E1 parking lot and pay on the spot. However, since parking is limited, advanced bookings are highly recommended. To occupy a disability stall, a visitor has to display a disabled parking permit or Disabilities Parking Privilege card. The above-listed parking rates apply. Should you need any assistance, a parking attendant will help.

Free Parking Near Husky Stadium

Don’t want to spend $40 on the official Husky Stadium parking service? If you’re comfortable with taking a long walk and arriving early enough, you may come across free street parking. This isn’t a sure bet, but it happens from time to time. If you head to the Laurelhurst neighborhood, you’ll most probably get lucky, but note that the walk to the stadium can take over 20 minutes. Wherever you park, be sure to look for the signs and read them carefully to avoid pricey Seattle parking tickets.

Husky Stadium Park and Ride Options

Finding alternative transportation to Husky Stadium is a great idea if you want to reduce your expenses. We suggest that you make use of Husky Stadium light rail parking options! The University of Washington station is a minute away from the stadium, and it’s served by Sound Transit’s Line 1. This line is ideal for anyone who lives in or near Northgate, downtown Seattle, or Sea-Tac Airport. Parking is free at the following light rail stations: Angle Lake, Tukwila, and Northgate. Note that, even though you can park at no cost, you need to buy an ORCA card or get the Transit GO Ticket app to ride. Train fares vary from $2.25 to $3.50.

You have another option! Even though the Northgate Park & Ride service stopped operating, the Shoreline Park & Ride Express route is still available. The service is mostly reserved for season pass holders, but you can purchase a single-game pass for $15 online and ahead of time. Season bus passes are obtainable for $60. Park & Ride Express buses stop in Eastgate, Kingsgate, South Kirkland, Shoreline, and Redondo Heights.

Tailgating at Husky Stadium

Not only is tailgating allowed, but it’s also extremely enjoyable and unique! In addition to regular tailgating activities in all Husky Stadium parking areas, many visitors opt for tailgating. Due to the stadium’s convenient location next to Union Bay, some Huskies fans sail to the venue and tailgate in the boats. The campus also offers other entertainment options, and you’ll have a day full of fun wherever you choose to tailgate. If you bring a grill, be sure not to use it in a garage parking facility, and head to an open-air lot.
