Why Should You Visit Siesta Key?
Siesta Key, Florida, and its eight-mile-long shore offer everything you may need during a vacation: sandy beaches, dining options, shops, resorts, and vibrant nightlife along Ocean Blvd. The island comprises three beaches:
- Siesta Beach, one of the best U.S. beaches in 2020, according to TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards;
- Crescent Beach, with impressive sunset views and access to the Point of Rocks;
- Turtle Beach, the best choice for camping and picnics.
Enjoy sun and fun at Siesta Key Beach, which features concession stands, restrooms, outdoor showers, beach umbrella rentals, tennis and volleyball courses, and a large covered pavilion. It also has ample parking, and we listed all the options and other helpful information below!
About the Siesta Key Beach Parking Lot
The main Siesta Key Beach public parking area is huge—it offers over 800 spots, including limited accessible parking. Due to its capacity, finding a convenient parking space is rarely an issue, and early arrival is recommended during high season only.
The beach is open from 6 AM to midnight, and here is the Siesta Key public beach parking address: 948 Beach Rd, Siesta Key, FL 34242. Just like admission, beach parking is free! The map below shows the entire visitor parking structure and the locations of lifeguard stations, pavilions, restrooms, etc.
Public Parking at Siesta Key Beach Access Points
In addition to the main Siesta Key public beach parking lot, additional parking is obtainable on a first-come, first-served basis along the stretch of the beach. Nearly every beach access offers limited free parking—see all the relevant information below.

Note: No overnight parking is available at any beach access, and there’s no Siesta Key Beach parking fee.
Siesta Key Beach RV Parking
Siesta Key has a campground on the south side of the island. Turtle Beach Campground has direct access to Turtle Beach, and it’s a quick and free trolley ride away from Siesta Beach. Go through a few helpful pieces of information:
- A maximum stay at the campsite is 30 nights.
- You may make a reservation up to a year in advance.
- Aside from RV, one vehicle per campsite is allowed.
- Only service animals are allowed on-site.
- While open flames are prohibited, guests can use self-contained grills.

The only nearby alternative is Sarasota Sunny South, which is excellent-rated and placed approximately a 10-minute drive from Siesta Beach.
Additional Parking Near Siesta Key Beach
In addition to the main public beach lot and the smaller ones at access points, you have a couple of more options.
- Siesta Key Village Municipal Parking Lot on Ocean Boulevard also offers free parking. The lot is northwest of the beach, and the walk between the two locations takes about 30 minutes, but you can take the free trolley.
- Multiple hotels have complimentary parking for Siesta Key Beach visitors staying at their property. If you wish to spend a few days here, consider booking Tropical Beach Resorts, Siesta Key Beachside Villas, or Siesta Key Beach Resort and Suites.

Transportation to and Through Siesta Key
Instead of public beach parking, Siesta Key visitors may use transportation alternatives on peak days. If you’re flying into SRQ, we recommend renting a car through Easirent or booking a Sarasota Airport Shuttle. For other routes, use platforms like Busbud to find a suitable bus line.
Once you get to Siesta Key, hop on a free Siesta Breeze Trolley to Siesta Beach or Turtle Beach Park. Trolleys operate every 25 to 30 minutes from 8 AM to 10 PM or midnight. Alternatively, take advantage of other free transportation services, such as Jonny’s Original Free Ride, which runs on-demand between 10 AM and 2 AM.
