Other than the walk from the rental, which was actually needed after all the delicious eats this week, this airport is great!! United bag check was immediately next to pre-tsa, at 7:30a on a Friday, only 1 person in front of me to get into the scam line. And I was the only one in pre check thru scan. Literally one step out of security, there's a store for snacks and drinks. Then, guy fieri's immediately to the right of that. Everything you need from an airport in like 50? steps!
Well done, Burbank 👏

This airport is about as bare bones as they come. No fancy eateries, amazing lounge areas or fancy mall shopping. What you do have is a no frills transit hub to get to where you need to go with super easy long term and short term parking options. Freeway access is abundant. You will pay a premium for the easy access compared to LAX. Worth it most cases if you have experienced the hustle and bustle of other Airports.

My favorite airport to fly out of in Los Angeles. So easy to drop off and pick up. Easy access from the 5, 210, 134, 170 but I like that you can deplane from both ends of the plane when it's full. Still small enough to just have walk up stairs

I think the traffic people take it away to seriously and actually cause more congestion. There are crosswalks there and signal lights, it's amazing. When I drive through New York City nobody gets hit by a car yet Burbank Airport has to have four people directing traffic. It just seems like overkill

I love to fly into Burbank instead of LAX. It is never really crowded with easy access to the freeway. You do board the plane either by stairs or a ramp but I like that. You also retrieve your baggage outside which is different. Getting to the rental car places is a major walk so be ready for that. I wish there were a bit more choices for food and other items but that comes with a smaller airport. Definitely worth the trade off.

Small little airport but very easy to navigate to where you need to go. Rental car pickup with Enterprise was a breeze.Ellie with Enterprise was amazing and fun! Sent us off with a smile!!

Nice little airport. TSA Pre was quick... Merge into the regular line at the stainless steel table.
Couple of coffee shops and a restaurant in the B terminal.

Best airport experience I have ever had! Small regional airport, you land on the tarmac, you walk down the steps, you walk on the tarmac and you walk directly into the airport. They have one baggage claim area carousel! You walk out the door, walk across the street, walk across the bridge and you're at the car rental. Excellent! Enjoy.CAB😍

Update: There is a small restaurant at the front of Terminal A if you need a coffee or small bite before your flight. Keep in mind that you can't take beverages past security. There are plenty of self check in kiosks in the terminal, which makes getting to your gate much faster (unless navigating computer prompts confuses you). I've had the pleasure of coming here now at least 5 times, and, aside from the holiday rush (which wasn't close to the holiday hell of LAX), each time has been pretty much a breeze.
Nice regional airport with a decent amount of parking, curb space and staff. Great way to avoid the mess of LAX. It is quite small, so the amenities are very limited. There aren't even food vendors in the airport secured areas as of right now. However, the airport does seem to be growing with greater interest from "budget" airlines like Alaska, Southwest, and Avelo. The new rental car center is huge. There's a lot of new signage. Maybe more will pop up here in the future?

BUR. This place is classic. Like, real Hollywood classic. Love flying in and out of here, making connections or visiting the area. Southwest airlines is a great airline to fly to Vegas from here. You can leave on a Thursday or Friday and fly with all the working ladies commuting in for the weekend. The only issue here is lack of decent food. No flight bridges here.... They have ramps from the tarmac. Charming!
Update. They painted inside. It looks a little less run down now. Some new eats. Still charming!

A great gateway to experiencing the miracle of human flight. Here, you will be able to board any number of large metal canisters and be launched into the stratosphere, where you can REALLY look down on other people. Helps with personal confidence and is completely exhilarating. The food is what you would expect, though the hi ball bar seems to really get jumping around 6:30pm. I have been using this airport my entire life and have never once been disappointed…in all seriousness, this place is way better than LAX - it is faster, smaller, more efficient, not as fancy (but who cares), and they still offer pay phones, a shoe shiner, and classic vending machines. Additionally, the smokers lounge is exquisitely shaded & jaded - you can fill your lungs to the brim with tar to the excruciatingly sweet traffic controllers’ frequent and overlapping whistle blows. It is a divine symphony, a chaos-ode to traffic, a screaming hot, panicked introduction to the city of dreams. A place named for its angels both real and phony, in an airport that gets its beautiful namesake from one of the best silver screen travelers to have ever lived- bob hope, a ghost we all must suffer the world without. Last, and most importantly, you can board & exit planes both from the front and back door here. So when you’re coming to LA from NOT LA, you can get that beautiful hit of sunshine quicker if you sit in the back of the aircraft.

We landed at the Burbank Hollywood airport. The runway is short so the airplane makes a hard fast landing. It a very busy and small airport. The airport has full facilities with a great location to getting to a lot of places within the LA area. We were able to walk out of the airport and make it to Santa Clarita within 30 minutes.

Small simple airport. Go in and out easily.
Parking is affordable. I parked my car in Lot C, $15 a day. there is a shuttle that take me to and from the airport. The shuttle dropped me off directly at my car space number. Driver was friendly telling to pay at the exit. 1 week parking cost $120

Think of the airport (PIE) St Petersburg, Fl. Think of the airport (DAY) Dayton, OH. This is a smaller well maintained airport as well, with an island arrival feel. I love the outdoor baggage claim. And the mountain views are spectacular upon arrival. You can trade the overwhelming feeling of LAX for the consolidated peace of BUR. The flights can be pricier. Southwest flies there so keep checking for affordable fares.

5 stars for efficiency. It saves me an average 1.5 hr each way compared to flying into and out of LAX because it is a very small airport. No need to sit in traffic for 20 minutes in a bus shuttle to go to the car rental place because it is on site (10 minute walk). No airport lounges or other fancy shops like LAX but I prefer to spend the extra 1.5 hrs in the beach than going to the airport early. I can give myself 30 minutes before boarding and it always works well. 👍🙏
Only wish is to please upgrade your airport. It is dated 😂. It has lots of potential to be world class.

Great airport, Bob Hope would still love it! Smaller very nice and helpful people! A bit of a walk to car rentals but you get a great taste of the great Cali weather! Great signage to get where you need to go, rental car drop off, terminals ect too!

I always have a good time flying out from Burbank aiport. This is my go to airport because it's close to my house and doesn't take me long to get here. During the busy time, there can be issues finding parking or just going through the airport to pick someone up. The valet parking isnt too bad. I usually fly out of here to Las Vegas, Sacramento and Portland

This is a *GREAT* alternative to LAX - no traffic chaos, few gates, and easy to access the local freeways. The only real down-side to Burbank airport is the baggage claim area. If you’re flying with American, the baggage claim is *outside* and the wait can be extremely long. Every time I’ve flown into Burbank with checked bags it’s taken well over an hour from deplaning to being able to receive my bag. If you have the option to just take carry-on, I’d recommend you do so. At peak times the baggage claim can be crowded chaos.

Great little airport. This was my first time flying out of here. From now on, before I ever fly into or out of Los Angeles. I will look here before I look at LAX. The airport could use a little updating but it’s not too bad. It does smell like old carpet but that’s because it’s got a lot of old carpet.

It was entirely serviceable, if a bit dated. The terminals didn't have enough seating space when it was busy on our way out of town for the amount of people waiting, and it was a bit cramped, but it does at least have a couple restaurants and a shop.
Car rentals are a pretty long walk from the terminal, and a few of the moving sidewalks were out of service when we went. Then again, it did give us a nice photo op and some great views of the surrounding mountains.

Few of us really pick out an airport-we pick an airline, or a great fare. But having been in about three dozen airports, foreign & domestic, it isn't surprising that Bob Hope Airport is one of my favorites: Small, easy to reach & easy to use, it serves Avelo & South West, my favorite airlines. Oh, and Metrolink & Amtrack can bring you or take you away so nobody else has to be part of your travel plans. Biggest draw back is having to go through TSA screening BEFORE you can eat and your meal choice is limited to those places in your terminal. If you're in Terminal B, you'd better off to bring a sandwich, unless you don't mind spending a days pay for one meal.

have been hearing about BUR travel hack for years then finally had the chance to fly out of and back to this gen of an airport. historic and lovely and smaller than I expected (+++).
from drop-off to check in through security screening it is night and day difference in service and efficiency and more compared to our beloved LAX also where I am stuck right now. it's awesome standing in line for the Nth time today after running and sweating all morning around crowded terminal 6 and will likely be here many more hours until my re/booked flight. if LAX were one side of the airport experience spectrum, hassle free Burbank might be at the exact opposite end, at least in this decade. why don't they just rename LAX to SUX for what it really is and has been throughout my traveling life. and the secret is out there now but BUR is my new travel BAE.

A wonderful gateway to the San Fernando Valley and the greater Los Angeles area. It’s super easy and quick to get from your arriving flight to ground transportation.
The only issue is there is limited space for passengers waiting at baggage claim carousels, so during peak travel periods like Christmas you may have trouble finding a space to wait for your luggage or have to navigate through crowds to exit the airport.

This is a small airport and really nice. Has lots of flights each day which is great. The only issue I have with it is the distance between the terminal and the rental car location. It's a long walk, and you need to make sure you arrive in plenty of time before your flight boarding.

I have never really had a bad experience here. It’s a small airport so it’s usually not crowded with cars in the front or going through security, which is fantastic. Everything is usually quick. At 5am in the morning most if not all their shops are open.

Small but busy and convenient regional airport that has many flights. No lounges. Not a lot of food choices but at least you can grab a bite. $18 burgers, Starbucks bottled coffee for $9.70. pretty pricey but people are still willing to pay for these. TSA precheck was empty and super fast to get through. Facial Biometrics used.

This was such a nice airport experience. I usually fly into LAX however decided to try a new airport and I was pleasantly surprised of the convenience of this airport. The best part is the rental cars are located at the airport no inconvenience of taking a shuttle. Highly recommend!

Pretty smooth arriving and boarding. I'm impressed how they keep such a smaller airport moving so efficiently. My flight has been delayed an hour and a half (which is rare) but I prefer going here rather than the experience of LAX...

UPDATE - Recently flew out of this airport.
They now have energy drinks (Ghost Energy)! A Starbucks is on-site and takes mobile orders. There are several Hudsons with a lot of merch and snacks. Signage is visible and clear. Restrooms are clean. Food is still expensive, about $25 or so for a Guy Fieri burger. However, many fast food restaurants are now conveniently located outside of the airport within walking distance. We grabbed Panda Express to-go and passed through TSA without any issues. Glad the airport read reviews and made changes !
Great location ! Airport is small and convenient. Unfortunately, once you get through security they only have Pepsi products. 0 energy drinks. Food is a bit overpriced ($15-$18 for a sandwich or burger) compared to other airports. Staff is okay. Restrooms are small and not up kept, very strong urine odor in the men’s restrooms. They do have several family restrooms. Water fountain and bottle refill station are positioned outside. They have free wifi but it takes a while to connect. Nursery cubicles are available, several charging stations and a few ATMs. Men’s restrooms include a changing table.

Small efficient airport . Security is so professional , moving people through with teamwork. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes. Tuesday night workers were the best! What is wrong with other airports? Just remember the snack store closes early bring your own for evening flights

It's my first time going through this airport. It is very small, perhaps somewhat bear, but from what I understand, flight to and from here might be cheaper than through LAX. Especially when in university and college students' travel season.
I arrived here from San Francisco, flying United, otherwise I'd go through LAX as always.
There's restrooms but airport wifi doesn't work

Probably one of my favorite airports. It costs a little more to fly out of here but it’s not too crowded and it’s a small airport.
A small selection of restaurants, snacks & coffee spots also. I think it’s small enough where pre check doesn’t really matter for the wait.
I’d definitely fly out of here again. I wasn’t able to rate the parking because I uber’ed here.

Burbank airport is my first preference whenever flying domestic. Parking is easy. If parking overnight, there's various lots with varying rates. At the structure, it's $34/day. We opted for the valet/long term, which is $27/day. They have $15/day, which is a little distant. I checked in online, and with TSA pre-check, I just went straight to the gate. No airport rush and hassles involved in travel.

Wow 🤩 this was my first experience flying into an small airport in CA. Burbank Airport is very airport friendly. Small enough for you not to get lost with an big airport feel.
This was the first time I stepped off an airplane onto an outdoor ramp. Thank goodness it’s always sunny 😎 in California 😂. Overall nice experience clean, friendly airport.

Honestly, don't know why I ever flew into LAX for years. Burbank Hollywood airport is small, but mighty. Everyone from the check-in people to security to gate agents were nice and super friendly and it was an incredibly enjoyable experience to fly out from there. Absolutely none of the stress you get from flying through LAX. I will be flying into Burbank from now on.

Hollywood Burbank Airport is an amazing small little airport. That is Way easier than taking the big airports. The staff is professional and I find it very clean. It is also amazing because they still do the old fashion way of walking on the tarmac to the plane. And boarding the plane outside so overall a good airport.

One of the best things about living in Burbank, or near Burbank, is that you can use the Burbank Airport instead of LAX. Whether I'm parking, picking up or dropping off - it's always super quick and easy. The terminals are clean and comfortable. Traveling is so much more enjoyable when it starts with a great airport experience, and that is what you'll get here.
