I love staying here! I have stayed here dozens of times and I keep coming back. I have stayed in hotels all over Edmonton, several times over. The Stars Inn is newer, clean, with very large rooms, comfortable beds and a very good breakfast which is included. It also has a pool hot tub and a golf simulator. You can rent right handed clubs. Very close to the airport. I stay here even when I am doing business in the city because the quality for the price is unbeatable. The price is fairly low. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is always pleasant. I have never had a bad experience while staying here.
This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.
Service and accommodations are out of this world.
Stayed for only one night.
The complementary breakfast lacks a better vegan food menu.
Just fruit, which sufficed.
Hotel is nice and new with modern decor. Rooms are spacious and hotel has a nice pool/jacuzzi and great hot breakfast. Definitely recommend. Great value for the rate 😄
NOT CLEAN, UNDER STAFFED, DO NOT STAY HERE.
Long story short - our first room was DIRTY, our second room was better but still needed the bathroom cleaned (hair and dirt in the shower to mention only 1 problem). No staff to clean it, front desk lady showed up at our door at 10pm to clean the bathroom (we checked in at 7:30). The breakfast was EMPTY, and only a couple of people trying to take care of it while there were multiple sports teams staying the weekend from what I understand. They should have maybe prepared a little better for the amount of guests.
Went to iron a shirt - no iron in the room. Had to go to the front desk and give them my room number to get an iron... seriously??? The iron leaked water out through where the electrical cord comes out... had to get a second iron, meanwhile my son’s dress shirt was soaked.
Pool closes from 11-2 every day... really??
I guess it was a long story. In a nut shell, we will NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN and I would not recommend it to anyone. If I could give it no stars, I would.
Nice modern rooms, the lack of carpet in the rooms make for a noisy stay from rooms above. Cold feel to rooms due to black and grey decor and minimal decor on walls. Decent price. Will try another next time in town
My trip started off with calling for the shuttle. The guy at the desk said it would be there right away. When I called to ask about the shuttle 20 minutes later the guy mumbled something and hung up on me. Meanwhile the shuttles for the other hotels were on their second trip. I asked a driver if he was going to Stars Inn and said he would call my shuttle driver, which he did. He then said he would drop me off because my driver still wasn't coming. Thank God for him.
When I arrived at the desk and said the shuttle never arrived the guy at the desk told me that he has no control what happens outside the doors.
I finally get to my room which is wonderful BTW. Until 6am when the train horns from the nearby railway start blowing. For the next hour. I went to this hotel because they advertised soundproof rooms and I needed to get some rest. Soundproof doesn't apply to train horns.
The Stats Inn is fantastic value, especially for its price point.
The room was very clean when we arrived. Our suite included a desk, mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and television.
The bed was comfy with semi firm pillows that were quite comfortable as well.
The bathroom was clean with a lit mirror and large shower. Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were found in a dispenser on the wall.
The pool was a little small, but the hot tub was large enough to fit 6-8 adults in it. The gym looked like it had all the staples. The included breakfast was quite impressive with hot and cold items.
The only reason why the Stars Inn gets 4 stars is because of the false fire alarm that woke us up before the crack of dawn. Also, our safe didn't work, or wasn't included with our stay.
