The airport is small but very good. They design an airport like a museum with the stuffed Alaskan animal like reindeer muskox and moose. It has good photo spots and time passes for the ones waiting for their flight.

Flew in my family and elderly parents for a wedding. The staff were very helpful getting my mom a wheelchair and getting baggage. The airport is clean and modern with a nice selection of food and merchandise. Budget Rental car agency was okay but couldn't provide a rental agreement due technology issues but did email the documents.

Very clean and have never had any issues here. Friendly staff. There's a really cute bookstore with lots of nice souvenirs. For food...McDonald's and a number of brew pub type restaurants but they're not always open.
My family always enjoys the animals that you can take photos with and the views are spectacular!

One of my top 5 favorite airports in the country. Very few places have a better view. Its nice, small, convenient to get in and out of, and its not located way outside of town. Anchorage is a special place and the airport reflects that.

The South Terminal airport is not too crowded, has Starbucks, couple of restaurants, gift shop, and lots of signs, but I’m sure people will still get lost.
Also has a separate line for TSA pre-check.

We had no issues parking, getting through TSA (quick!) or getting a seat at our gate. It's clean in the terminal and the staff are efficient and professional. All in all a positive experience, especially compared to other airports we've been in during our trip from Newark to Seattle to Anchorage.

Very beautiful airport reflecting the Alaska nature. The airport is definitely big and very busy as well.
The good part about this airport is you don’t have to take a shuttle for the car rental just below the baggage claim in walkable distance the car rental companies are located. Most of the car rental companies opens at 05:30 so plan or be prepared accordingly.

I didn’t realize this airport would be so big. It’s very easy to navigate. Very clean hallways and rest rooms. Easy to get in and out of. Quite a hike to the train and car rentals but it’s easy with the tunnel and all inside!

Our family owns and operates Oz Lodge in Seward AK and whether we are hosting and advising guests on how to make travel arrangements, or we are making personal trips to see family, we REALLY appreciate the Ted Stevens Airport and all of their staff. It is consistently clean, staff are friendly and it’s not overwhelming to navigate. Wait times for dropping baggage off and TSA are notoriously reasonable and once through security, there is a nice little variety of Alaskan shops and restaurants to choose from while waiting for your flight. Thank you Ted Stevens Airport for faithfully serving us Alaskans as well as those we love who make the trip to see us! We appreciate you!

Absolutely beautiful airport. One of the best in the country. Easy to navigate as it is smaller in size. Water filling stations are helpful to stay hydrated. There are cool things to see in the airport, including a taxidermy moose, mosaic ceiling, sculptures, and even a small airplane.

Awesome views and so much to see. Inside one of the stairwells of the parking garage, if you make it to the top you will see an amazing tribute to the fallen of 9/11. Powerful and very touching to see and read about the events of that tragic day. Way to go Ted Stevens for showing respect for brave first responders.

Absolutely love this airport!! Always tidy and clean, and has a good air about it. I accidentally left my favorite water bottle on a flight, and thought it was gone forever. I’ve had it for years and many of the stickers on it are from fond memories I’ve made through those years. That same water bottle has been from South Africa, to Amsterdam, and all across the US! I went to Alaska Airline’s baggage claim with little hope, but an incredible employee named Breanne helped me look for it. After looking in the lost baggage area, it couldn’t be found. She asked me to leave my name and number, and I almost didn’t just because I figured it was futile. Breanne said she might know where to find it at some other place deeper in the airport. I left feeling sad, but knowing it was worth the drive just to know it was gone. Then, less than 2 miles from the airport I got a call!! Breanne asked again what it looked like, and happily reported she had found it! I rushed back and am now in possession of my lucky travel companion again.
Huge thanks to Alaska Airlines and Breanne both!! Love you guys!!

Nice airport in Alaska! It's clean, organized well, has a good amount of restaurants and shops, and nice views of the mountains. I especially like that there are water bottle filling stations next to all of the bathrooms.
Also, when I went here (Tuesday evening), it wasn't too crowded, and there were no lines. I'm not sure if this is the normal, but it seems like it's a pretty simple and efficient airport where you don't need to go there super early to make your flight.
Also - make sure to get a picture with the big moose if you're visiting Alaska!!

Flew out of Anchorage on Sunday. I was impressed at how quickly the lines moved. Very efficient. Couldn’t figure out why we had to show boarding passes so many times but despite of that we moved quickly.

A reasonable airport for a sparsely populated state. It is a good size and it is not super busy. Easy to get into with transportation and easy to get out. Certainly not a large as some airports in the lower 48, but still well organized. Definitely the best place to fly into Alaska and would recommend Alaska Airlines.

I had a loooong layover after a red eye from Honolulu and waiting for a puddle jumper to Valdez. I enjoyed exploring the airport’s art, taxidermy, train depot, sports hall of fame, and flower beds. I appreciated banks of seating without armrests to attempt a nap (many others were doing the same). I did not realize that you cannot go back through TSA security to the main gates and their amenities if your next flight is on a regional airline. My plan had been to pay to use the lounge for Delta (it’s $50) but I couldn’t get to it.
Alaska and Hawaii may seem wildly different but both have a low key friendliness that made wandering the airport for almost 10 hours bearable.
