Flew in my family and elderly parents for a wedding. The staff were very helpful getting my mom a wheelchair and getting baggage. The airport is clean and modern with a nice selection of food and merchandise. Budget Rental car agency was okay but couldn't provide a rental agreement due technology issues but did email the documents.

Anchorage metropolitan area has half the Alaska population of 730k people. Anchorage has a small but neat airport. No long line at check-in, security check or bathrooms. Clean and quiet, the last frontier!

Happy to call AK home. The best airport in the globe. Never busy and all staff are amazing. Large parking structure right across the street from the arrival terminal. Loads of Taxis, Shuttles to hotels and public transport as well. The best airport in the globe.

Very nice airport. Most of the flights are cargo. A couple nice places to get food and drinks. Not too busy, easy to find my gate. Overall a pleasant experience.

The South Terminal airport is not too crowded, has Starbucks, couple of restaurants, gift shop, and lots of signs, but I’m sure people will still get lost.

Also has a separate line for TSA pre-check.

We had no issues parking, getting through TSA (quick!) or getting a seat at our gate. It's clean in the terminal and the staff are efficient and professional. All in all a positive experience, especially compared to other airports we've been in during our trip from Newark to Seattle to Anchorage.

I left phone in Gate entrance with Alaska Airlines and was notified on flight, offered to fly it out to me. I requested I pick it up on return flight, no hassle, thank you very much!

Very friendly from start to finish.

10/02/23- I loved landing to the scene of wildlife. I met friendly airport staff and officer's who were helpful in directing me to where I needed to go for my Lyft driver.

They have a visitor's center onsite. I travel tons and never been to one with one at the airport.

Great experience!

Absolutely beautiful airport. One of the best in the country. Easy to navigate as it is smaller in size. Water filling stations are helpful to stay hydrated. There are cool things to see in the airport, including a taxidermy moose, mosaic ceiling, sculptures, and even a small airplane.

Awesome views and so much to see. Inside one of the stairwells of the parking garage, if you make it to the top you will see an amazing tribute to the fallen of 9/11. Powerful and very touching to see and read about the events of that tragic day. Way to go Ted Stevens for showing respect for brave first responders.

Absolutely love this airport!! Always tidy and clean, and has a good air about it. I accidentally left my favorite water bottle on a flight, and thought it was gone forever. I’ve had it for years and many of the stickers on it are from fond memories I’ve made through those years. That same water bottle has been from South Africa, to Amsterdam, and all across the US! I went to Alaska Airline’s baggage claim with little hope, but an incredible employee named Breanne helped me look for it. After looking in the lost baggage area, it couldn’t be found. She asked me to leave my name and number, and I almost didn’t just because I figured it was futile. Breanne said she might know where to find it at some other place deeper in the airport. I left feeling sad, but knowing it was worth the drive just to know it was gone. Then, less than 2 miles from the airport I got a call!! Breanne asked again what it looked like, and happily reported she had found it! I rushed back and am now in possession of my lucky travel companion again.

Huge thanks to Alaska Airlines and Breanne both!! Love you guys!!

It's a good airport. Easy to navigate. Lots of food choices. Prices are reasonable for being in an airport. Lots of "Alaska" stuff to look at. Car rental pick up is easy.

Layover here for about two hours! Space and cool place to relax, refuel, and embark for long trips! Traditionally you will see hunted wild mouses displayed in the buildings which is amazing!

Nice airport in Alaska! It's clean, organized well, has a good amount of restaurants and shops, and nice views of the mountains. I especially like that there are water bottle filling stations next to all of the bathrooms.

Also, when I went here (Tuesday evening), it wasn't too crowded, and there were no lines. I'm not sure if this is the normal, but it seems like it's a pretty simple and efficient airport where you don't need to go there super early to make your flight.

Also - make sure to get a picture with the big moose if you're visiting Alaska!!

Flew out of Anchorage on Sunday. I was impressed at how quickly the lines moved. Very efficient. Couldn’t figure out why we had to show boarding passes so many times but despite of that we moved quickly.

A pretty big international airport that has some of the alaskan culture and a taste of what you will find during your trip or stay in here. Signs and advertisements od either buses, train or flights are really well advised.

SMALL Airport. They are on only two levels. Not possible to get lost like big ZI airports. Everything is right there. Cute displays & stuff.

PAY PHONES!!! I haven't seen a pay phone in Airport in 15 years! Easy to find your luggage, easy to get transportation. Nice airport.

Love this airport so far.

Decent wifi. Lacking on working power outlets. Wifi resets periodically.

Massage chairs are great for a 15min massage for $5+,if you can find a working one.

Lots of seats without armrests if you need a nap.

24 hour flight activity.

Nice little kids play areas and free libraries.

A reasonable airport for a sparsely populated state. It is a good size and it is not super busy. Easy to get into with transportation and easy to get out. Certainly not a large as some airports in the lower 48, but still well organized. Definitely the best place to fly into Alaska and would recommend Alaska Airlines.

Beautiful airport. Clean and taken care of. All gates were crowded but OK.

They're obviously proud with the wildlife of Alaska.

The outdoors are beautiful too.

I had a loooong layover after a red eye from Honolulu and waiting for a puddle jumper to Valdez. I enjoyed exploring the airport’s art, taxidermy, train depot, sports hall of fame, and flower beds. I appreciated banks of seating without armrests to attempt a nap (many others were doing the same). I did not realize that you cannot go back through TSA security to the main gates and their amenities if your next flight is on a regional airline. My plan had been to pay to use the lounge for Delta (it’s $50) but I couldn’t get to it.

Alaska and Hawaii may seem wildly different but both have a low key friendliness that made wandering the airport for almost 10 hours bearable.
