I’ve never been to an airport with bathrooms so clean. OK the little race car in the middle of the airport was eye-catching. It’s pretty spread out an open lots of food options and easy to get from point a to point B I like the little lights above your head when walking across the stair train.

Best airport I’ve visited. Very clean. And getting through security with pre-check was a breeze.

A wonderful airport, big, airy, well designed. We were there on a Monday, and there was hardly anyone there making everything efficient and fast. There are plenty of food options for all types of tastes. Keep the kids away from the big candy shops (you'll see the big spinning lollipops). There are a massive number of chairs, with power to charge your phones on almost all chairs. The wifi is straight forward, and fast.

Been through this airport many times, and I must say this airport is consistent. That’s something I cannot say about most airports I’ve been to.

The wait times at both check in and TSA are quite short, typically no more than 10 minutes.

The entire airport looks fresh, and even the bathrooms are kept constantly clean.

The airport’s small size makes walking around quick and convenient. So what if they change your gate? It’ll take you 5 minutes at most to get to your new one. It’s not like major airports, which are a hassle to navigate.

Seating areas are comfortable, with easily available power outlets and excellent views with all the glass.

Only thing bad I can say about this airport is the food is mediocre. Best places to get food are the snack shops, or the fast-food places before security.

So I have to say that the Indianapolis international airport is a really beautiful and new facility. I came in kind of late at night and left very early on a weekend morning so I cannot comment as to how it is during busy schedule times. I can say that the facility though is very bright and clean and like I said seems to be brand new.

The baggage claim and parking were also very easy to deal with and I really enjoy the simple layout also A gates are to the left and B gates are to the right when you enter in the front. Another thing that I enjoyed is the flavor of the town with the race cars and colts type memorabilia and the terminal. I was generally very impressed with everything there and I know you are probably not trying to make a decision whether or not to go through this airport, but it's good to know that it is a nice airport if you are headed that way anyway!

This was a nice and clean (as airports go).

TSA divided pre check and others in a way I hadn't seen yet. Pay attention to those signs but staff was there to direct people.

They have the newer system for x ray on your bag. You zip everything in your purse and throw it in the bin. I prefer these systems.

I wore button fly jeans and received quite a frisking... 😂. I've been patted down before but this fall was serious. A couple of men were laughing when my eyes widened which helped me make light of the situation.

Note to self, don't wear button fly jeans on travel days.

I have never had a bad experience at this airport. TSA is always quick & the technology seems to stay up-to-date with the latest things. The airport itself is always nice & clean. Compared to other airports that I've been to it is on the larger side so you will get some of your steps in.

I couldn’t ask for a better rental car experience. I used Budget and the ease of getting to and from the terminal to the rental car pickup/return was a positive experience. If you’re vegetarian, I’d suggest BYOF to the airport because IND has very limited “options.”

Highly Highly impressed!!! This is one of the cleanest, well laid airports ive ever been in. Ive traveled through several and Indy beats them all. TSA was fast, and you don't have to hike 100 miles to get to your rental car or ground transportation. Moving sidewalks in the terminal to speed you down to the further gates. Good job Indy!

I've been to a lot of airports around the country and this is one of the nicest and most efficient ones I've been to. It's well organized and doesn't require a ton of transport to get between sections of it. It has a nice, large food court right after ticketing, then you can go through security and get to the terminals to either the right or left. Super easy.

The bathrooms and other facilities are clean and never crowded. The shuttles to the parking lots and getting to the rental cars is also easy.

Flying with firearms has never been a problem for me here as well.

I like the new design of the airport. I used to get so confused and lost in the old Indy airport because was a Labyrinth. Now it's much more wide and open and I feel free to do as I please. The floor is also really soft if you're looking for a place to take a nap. 10/ 10 recommend. They also have nice windows to stare outside with. TSA is also extremely fast and i never have issues with them or luggage. I think this is the best airport in the Midwest/ US!!!

The staff is courteous and helpful, ensuring a smooth journey from check-in to security.

The airport's layout is well-designed, making navigation a breeze. Ample seating and charging stations are available throughout, catering to the needs of modern travelers. The variety of dining options is impressive, with restaurants serving delicious cuisine to suit all tastes.

The emphasis on local art and culture is a standout feature. The art installations and displays provide a unique sense of place, allowing travelers to connect with the city's identity even while in transit. The Indiana-themed shops offer a chance to purchase authentic souvenirs and gifts.

The airport's commitment to sustainability is commendable. The solar farm and other eco-friendly initiatives demonstrate a dedication to reducing the environmental impact of travel.

What sets Indianapolis Airport apart is its efficiency. Whether arriving or departing, the streamlined processes ensure minimal wait times. The flight information displays are well-distributed, providing up-to-date information and reducing stress for travelers.

Overall, Indianapolis Airport is a shining example of a well-run, traveler-centric hub. Its combination of functionality, aesthetics, and local charm make it a model for other airports to follow.

Travelled to this airport on a Monday afternoon. It was a bit busy, but it was clean and easy to navigate. The rental cars are inside the airport which was very convenience.

I went back to MCI on Friday from Indy airport. I went 2 hours before my flight. And I’m glad I did. The security check is slow. It took me about 20 min to go trough it and about 30 min for them to go through my bag. I travel for work so I have a work laptop, personal laptop, iPad, and a cellphone. They spend about 5-8 min and looked into each electronics carefully. Not sure why, because I travel with them at least twice a months for work. It was the first time that this happened. That didn’t bother me at all, I understand it’s their job. I just mentioned it, so you might consider going in earlier if you travel with a few electronics on you.

There are many art pieces displayed through the airport. So it’s a good idea to come a bit earlier yo see the pieces. Arts are all over, from ceiling to the windows.

The airport is very clean. One of the cleanest I d been. Many places to sit and relax and there are many restaurants and fast foods to choice from.

State of the Art Airport. Sleek, refined, plenty of Open court areas. Shops, gifts, a variety of food choices in Main Welcoming Hall. Short, efficient Security screenings. Larger airports should adopt more of these traits.

A welcome change from our normal "busiest airport in the world." Thanksgiving holidays and still uncrowded and relaxed. We literally had a dozen people wish us well when we returned the rental car. Where are we??

Clean, efficient and new airport offering many eating spots as well as the Delta club lounge.

Security lines are almost always short and you get quickly processed.

Plenty of seating in departures whether you're looking for business call quiet areas or more open space, there is somewhere for everyone.

Toilets are clean and spacious.

Rental car pick up and drop off is very close to the main terminal so there is no transfer via bus.

Easy to get to. This airport is easy to park unload drop off and anything. The whole property is smoke free. If you smoke get it in before you get there. This is a strict policy. The lines aren’t bad. Drop off of luggage is easy. There’s a small food court before security. There’s not much after that anymore. I’ll update if I see anything this time. There is a place to grab a drink before and after security.

It was my first time flying into Indianapolis, and I was very pleased with my experience. It was such a huge and spacious Airport. I like that it was not so busy and if it were, I bet it's not gonna be too crowded because of how wide it is.

It also looks very modern and sleek inside, the interiors were great and I liked how it was a short walk from my gate towards the exit. The driveways were also straightforward and easy to find.

This airport is more "regional" than "international" as you may notice on the flight information panels and also in the average aircraft sizes. It has unique items on display, such as some vintage racing cars promoting the Indianapolis Raceway Park, not far from the airport and visible on most landings or takeoffs. Restrooms are clearly indicated, stores and restaurant options are abundant. The facility is comfortable and not crowded. Beautiful art glass is visible from most seating areas. The interior light seems dark, providing a sunset experience even around noon.

The airport displays an ambitious architectural design in a medium-small scale, reinforcing the idea of regional service (rather than international).

I love this airport. With the use of valet parking it is so easy to get in and out. The airport is walking friendly with its small footprint. There are plenty of great vendors, too.

This trip we experienced the new scanning equipment at the security check. I'm not a big fan yet. It actually took longer than with the prior scanning equipment.

You are required to put everything in a plastic bin and wait for the automated system to move your bin in line. If you use more than one bin, it is possible they will get separated.

There were more than the usual number of people standing around waiting on their bags to get through the scan.

Cool airport full of the newest tech for TSA only thing I wish they had was a McDonalds in the terminal. They have one in the waiting area but it's before you walk through TSA so you gotta finish your coffee and sodas before entering. It's still better than most airports I fly into and around the US and there is a bunch. It's a cool place. 😎 🆒️

One of the best airports I’ve ever been to. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived and leaving was the same experience. I love the way everything is laid out with many shops and restaurants just before the security checkpoints and then a good variety within the terminals as well. I hope to be back someday soon. TSA was also very pleasant for the most part as they have the new scan machines. You could tell everyone was really trying to do their best and be as helpful as possible!

Amazing airport. Good restaurants and good workers. Very clean and easy to navigate due to it being smaller.

I had to pick up a friend at the airport and I waited at the cell phone parking lot. What a wonderful idea. This is the best thing that I've ever had happened with the airports.

If you arrive at the pickup area and the person that you're picking up is not out ready to be picked up, they will make you do lapse around because you cannot sit there.

So they are very strict on the loitering at the pickup areas because I was only there for a few seconds and I was asked to make a lap around before my friend was able to get into the car.

So make sure you take advantage of the cell phone lots and wait for your arrivals there and have them call you when they're out the door in the pickup area.

Live music in the main hall at IND! It was fun to see the atmosphere. This is one of my favorite airports to travel through. It’s well laid out, easily accessible, and has a good variety of food and drink options both behind security and in the main terminal. It’s on the smaller side as far as airports go, making it easier to navigate and not too much walking required to get to your gate.

I have been to many airports in USA and what really stands out with Indy airport is spacious, impeccable and never too crowded. It supports the right amount of people and does not make me feel I am in a congested spot with no breathing space. I do like how the flights are planned which leaves good room to enjoy the beauty within the airport. I have taken multiple flights from Indy and it has always been the most efficient airport overall. Long term and short term parking are available at pretty good prices.
