First time here. Fun airport. Small and nice. Would recommend being early because even though it's a small airport, the line is long. I landed in the afternoon, and there was a long line to enter TSA as I walked out . I then arrived at 5am the next day, and there was already a long line to enter. Have a Peets here.

Nice little airport. Security can be slow before noon, pretty quick otherwise.
Easy car rental pickup, with a surface lot for all companies just outside the terminal. There's a Starbucks by baggage claim and a Peets past security.

To the airport employee who was aware and ready - well done!! I was waiting for my red eye flight sitting at a table doing some work on my laptop when I witnessed an elderly couple get on the escalator. They made it a quarter of the way up before the elderly man lost his footing and started falling back. His wife tried to hold him but they both started falling back. The airport employee noticed at the first instant something was wrong and was up that escalator, catching and then supporting them both before it was too late. Another second more and both would have fallen backwards down the escalator. They reached the top, thanked him, and he rode the other escalator back down to resume his duties. This could have turned out so horribly different for the sweet elderly couple. To the young man, I didn't catch your name, but you did an incredible job!! Incredible speed and awareness resulted in potentially saving the day and health of two sweet people! Amazing Catch!

Overall a pretty good airport. At times the airlines lack the customer service and compassion skills but overall always a good experience. If there is an issue with our outbound flight we don’t stand in line. We get on the phone with the airline customer service and sort it out faster. I do get tired of listening to the mayors welcome over and over. But it’s not just Jerry. I couldn’t stand listening to Ashley Swearingin over and over. Let’s work on that. :) The parking garage is a great addition and was long overdue

It's a cute little airport. Convenient in and out. Parking per day is $14. Has a Starbucks inside and another just outside security. Has one dining restaurant inside the gate area. Bathrooms at the top level are much roomier than the first level.

Super easy to get to. The just opened up a new parking structure so it's much faster to find parking. They have a Starbucks inside near the check in area and they're open late.

Not a bad little airport - I think I saw 17 gates. Even on one side, odd on the other. Starbucks before and after security. There's a restaurant and of course a place to buy books/magazines, snacks and souvenirs. Lots of local artists featured. It seemed clean. But I can't vouch for the bathrooms because I didn't use them.

Very small airport, would be great to have more options to eat before your flight. Security was SO fast mainly because I was the only one in line LOL
Airport Staff were nice. SUPER cool art of large trees as you enter and exit security check point.

cute little airport serving the Central Valley. make sure to get there early, especially during peak travel times. Slightly expensive to fly out of compared to LAX. good airport just needs more nonstop destinations to be considered an "international airport"

Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) is a charming gem. The gate area is impeccably maintained, and you'll find clean and tidy bathrooms throughout. Kudos to the custodial staff for being attentive to the cleanliness of the space. (I couldn’t get his name so I just took a photo of him).
FAT exudes a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, making it a delightful choice. If you're open to a short drive to your ultimate destination in the immediate vicinity of central California, this airport stands out as the perfect option.

Vincent Evans at the Fresno, CA Alaska Airline counter is the only reason I will, not only, continue to fly with Alaska Airlines but also continue to do business with Fresno’s Airport. All around fantastic experience. Vincent demonstrated outstanding customer service. He went the extra mile to make a customer feel valued.

Small airport that’s super easy to navigate. Renting a car from here for exploring Yosemite was easy as well. There aren’t a lot of food options, basically one coffee place and one place with a large selection of beer on tap and standard bar food - burgers, tacos, sandwiches, etc.

3/29/22 Had another great visit and flight. The bartender Kase was very joyful to chit chat. The airport was very clean. 11/2021 I travel through here quite often as I grew up and my family lives near Yosemite. I enjoy FAT as it's always clean, and usually pretty consistent with getting us through in a timely manner. The food is always delicious, if I have time, I usually stop and get something yummy or to snack on. It's a smaller airport, but one of the things I enjoy about it. The staff has always been friendly, no complaints here. The restrooms are usually not super busy either, so that's a plus as well. I flew on thanksgiving day, and it was pretty calm.

Small airport but easy to get in. A little more in price however it is nice to have a nice airport right in town. They just built a new parking deck. Lots of room to park. Car rentals are also right next to the airport making it real convenient.

I love our airport, especially with newly expanded parking and the completion of the multi-story parking structure and the addition of Southwest airlines. It's right-sized for our needs and easy to get into and out of.

One of my favorite airports! The smallest airport I’ve ever been at! Impossible to get lost. Definitely do not arrive here two hours ahead. It is sooooo small! All gates are down one way! You definitely don’t have many options for food… but there’s Starbucks!

This airport is THE BEST I’ve ever been to in the world. Better than Ontario and John Wayne in CA. Better than XNAin Arkansas, Lincoln Regional in Nebraska. The car rental desk is inside by the baggage claim. I got my rental keys while I was waiting for the baggage to arrive. Literally in 12 minutes from deboarding the plane, I was hopping into the car and wheeling down the road to my destination. In 15 years of travel that has never happened for me.
The TSA here are actually pleasant, even cordial. I got a full pat down and they were dictatorial or high handed.

Small convenient airport. Wish there were a trolly to and from Economy parking. If you are waiting for a flight departure be sure to eat prior to arrival. Food at the bar area was ridiculous for what you get. I ordered a Caesar Salad. $22, no drink. It looked like they got from 7-11, if they carried a Caesar salad. 4 stars for staff at that airport. Cleanliness, and efficient with screening process. I was to my gate in 20 minutes after arrival. That included checking a bag at ticket counter.

It was a sunny day when I visited Fresno Yosemite International, which is a joint civil-military airport in Fresno, California, United States.
Had a great cup of coffee while lounging at the beautiful waiting area before boarding.
This is the primary commercial airport for the San Joaquin Valley and three national parks: Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon.
It offers scheduled passenger flights to several major airline hubs in the United States and international service to Mexico.
The facility opened in June 1942 as Hammer Field, a military airfield.
The airport is owned and operated by the city of Fresno and has two runways on a property spanning 1,728 acres.
Its airport code 'FAT' stands for "Fresno Air Terminal," a former name for the airport.
Facilities are awesome. Car park is great. Airport staff is courteous and forthcoming.

4. Giant sequoia tree
Wanted to see Sequoia National Park but couldn't see as it is closed currently because of fires...

I had not planned on writing a review, but I had a remarkable experience today. Unfortunately I am flying home with my father's ashes. The gentleman working at the security checkpoint was extremely professional, yet respectful and gentle with my items as he searched and tested my bag. I am writing this review because of him. I thank him for his service and for working hard to protect all flyers. As far as the rest of the airport... This is one of my favorite ones! It is small enough, so you don't get lost. Easy to find your gate. But big enough to have some of the most important amenities that flyers desire. And clearly they have exceptional customer service!

I’ve lived in Santa Barbara, San Francisco/Oakland, Los Angeles,/Burbank/Long Beach, and I’ve traveled pretty much everywhere. And I’ll say BY FAR! By a mile Fresno airport is the easiest smallest convenient airport next to Bob hope(Burbank) airport I’ve ever been in or to. Good friendly staff. It’s got it’s pain in the back side spots too such as parking. But overall it’s quick convenient clean and pretty close to everything in this city.

I missed my flight to Oklahoma in the morning with Southwest Airlines. The morning I woke up late because my alarm didn’t go off and my bag broke in the morning. I had to suffer for 6 months doing sales because the company didn’t pay me. I went through days without food and it was just all around a rough situation among other things so I was a little disappointed. There were workers that literally were so rude. I know it’s a hard job and I was mean as-well but bridging realities with others is so important. One day you may get someone who’s on the edge of life and what you say to them may just end up pushing them off the edge. I wouldn’t highlight it if it wasn’t something I lived imperfectly of course so I would give grace. I’ve flown through FAT tons of times and I’ve had a similar issue with the same type of issue but overall this airport is one of the best and it’s small so you have grace time to make it. There have been workers I’ve met who I want you to highlight because without these servers this airport would be desolate. The ladies at the Southwest counter served me beyond my wildest beliefs. They didn’t even know me but they cared for me like I was there own. 10/11/23. Francisco Salvador one of my favorite Tsa service men. It was such an honor to meet you! Being someone who can recognize good talent. I would expect FAT to compensate people who take ownership if not I hope every good employee I’ve mentioned goes elsewhere where their talent can be bestowed into someone great. God bless (check back December 31st at 11:59pm)

It's fun to be greeted by this large Redwood forest inside the airport as you make your way from the gates to baggage claim. I've flown here about 5 times, and I've never yet had a long wait checking bags or getting through security. If you use a rideshare (Uber or Lyft), the pickup area is now way down away from baggage claim and the pick up zone for taxis and hotel shuttles. This wasn't clear to me at first, but when you walk to the correct spot, there is a sign (turn left out of baggage claim).

If you're not worried about food options and just need to get to your flight in record time, this is a great airport. For the number of travelers coming and going, this airport has always had ample parking, and going through security is a breeze compared to other higher-traffic airports. If you have no bags to check, you can use the self-check-in kiosks, or airline phone apps to get your boarding pass and head straight to security. As with all airports, this one does experience higher traffic and wait times during the holidays.

Visited the valley will out for a work trip. Within a 3 hour hike I got to see several incredible views of the park. The upper falls hike is hard but we'll worth it. Lower falls are packed but a must go. Especially if you are willing to get out on the rocks below the falls to feel the pier of the waterfall.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport (FAT) serves as a vital gateway for travelers in the Central Valley to domestic and select international destinations. My experiences flying through this airport have consistently highlighted its convenience, efficiency, and user-friendly services.
One of the most notable advantages of FAT is its manageable size, which facilitates easy navigation and short walking distances. This is particularly beneficial for those who value quick access to gates and minimal hassle when transitioning from check-in to boarding. The airport's compact nature also means fewer crowds and generally shorter lines compared to larger hubs.
The facilities at Fresno Yosemite International Airport are clean and well-maintained, with a range of amenities that cater to the needs of travelers. These include a variety of dining options, from fast food to sit-down eateries, and several retail shops for last-minute travel essentials or souvenirs. The free Wi-Fi is reliable, allowing travelers to stay connected and productive while waiting for their flights.
Customer service here is commendable, with staff members across various departments demonstrating professionalism and a willingness to assist passengers. Whether it's help with luggage, navigating the airport, or requiring special assistance, the employees at FAT are accommodating and attentive.
The airport also features convenient parking options, with reasonable rates for both short-term and long-term stays. The proximity of the parking lots to the terminal is a significant plus, adding to the overall ease of use of the airport.
However, the range of direct flights is somewhat limited, especially to international destinations, which may require some travelers to connect through larger airports. Additionally, while the dining options are adequate, there could be a broader selection of healthier or more diverse food choices to enhance the airport's offerings.
In summary, Fresno Yosemite International Airport offers an efficient and pleasant travel experience, particularly for domestic travelers. Its ease of access, friendly staff, and clean facilities make it an excellent choice for residents and visitors to the region. While there is always room for improvement, particularly in expanding flight routes and dining options, FAT remains a commendably efficient and convenient airport for the Central Valley area.

I'll admit, I'm a bit biased because this is my home airport. That said. I love flying out of here. 90% of the time, you can breeze through security, and they seem to enjoy their jobs. There are exceptions, but hey, even Taco Bell has disgruntled workers.
I always use the app so I can bypass the counter, which makes life even better.
Once through security, I head upstairs and grab a bite at the restaurant. Everything is good, but my favorite is still simple toast and OJ (not Simpson, juice) for a quick pick me up.
There is a hidden restroom (iykyk) that is the best place to change if needed or take care of children. The other restrooms are typically a bit dirtier, but all in all, it's not bad.
A few things to consider:
- Be in a good mood. This helps others be in a good mood and lifts the experience.
- Don't rush. Arrive early and be relaxed. This will help with your mood.
- Pay attention. Announcements are gate centric, and you don't always hear them if you're not near your gate.

Moderately quiet airport with one food stop and a few shops beyond TSA. There is a lovely wooded section outside of TSA! I felt there was a good amount of charging outlets as well.
