Accessible Parking
University of Michigan football parking has a limited number of single-game parking passes for physically impaired visitors. ADA parking spots are offered on a first-come, first-served basis in the Green Lot for a $50 parking fee. The Pioneer High School parking area also provides ADA spaces for as low as $55, while the Champions North lot requires football parking permits. Wherever you park, don’t forget to display a disabled parking placard! You can also make use of the courtesy shuttle service, which runs between the stadium and several lots before and after all home games and upcoming events.
RV Parking
Reserved RV spots are offered by the Pioneer High School lot and Blue Lot and must be purchased at least two days in advance. The reserved parking pass for RVs in the high school lot costs $405. However, you can head to the Brown Lot and pay $80 in cash. To additionally lower your costs, park in the Maize Lot, which provides convenient $60 spaces for oversized vehicles.
Cheap or Free Parking Near Michigan Stadium
Free street parking spots are available in the area but are extremely hard to find within a mile of Michigan Stadium. Your best bet is to go to Briarwood Mall, get a free parking spot, and then hop on a $1.50 shuttle that stops next to the Big House. The mall is placed at 100 Briarwood Circle, about 2 miles from the University of Michigan stadium.
Plenty of people in the vicinity offer parking in their yards at competitive prices. The closest neighborhood parking starts at about $50, but it drops by $10-$15 per block as you go farther from the venue. If you’re comfortable with taking a walk for 15 to 20 minutes, you may get a spot for around $10. These spaces usually get cheaper as kickoff nears, so you might be able to find a good deal even if you don’t come early. However, note that early arrival is recommended for all major Michigan football games.
Ride a Shuttle to All University of Michigan Games
The FootballRide shuttles run frequently starting two hours before game time and for another hour after it ends. They collect passengers on the south side of the venue, while the drop-off spot is at Michigan Stadium Gate 2. The shuttle service includes multiple stops in downtown Ann Arbor and all around the city; here are all the services and boarding locations:
- Downtown Shuttle has many stops, including the Bell Tower Hotel, Michigan Union, Residence Inn, Pizza House on Church Street, etc.
- West Shuttle collects passengers at the Wyndham Garden, Weber’s Ann Arbor, and Miller Road Park & Ride Lot.
- East Shuttle has one boarding location—at the Regent Hotel & Suites.
- South Shuttle picks up at the Sheraton Hotel, Red Roof Inn, Kensington Hotel, and U-M South.
- North Shuttle stops at the DoubleTree by Hilton North and Plymouth Road Park & Ride Lot.
A limited number of free spaces are obtainable in both listed Park & Ride lots. So, if none of the locations is within walking distance from your home, drive to one of these lots and park free of charge before you catch a shuttle. The one-way fare is $1.50. Guests with disabilities and people older than 65 are entitled to free rides!
Tailgating at Michigan Stadium
The Michigan Wolverines supporters who plan to tailgate can engage in such activities at several U of M football parking locations. Each RV pass allows four spaces for both the vehicle and tailgating equipment. A guest cannot occupy any additional spot or impede traffic. The best and most popular place for tailgating activities is the golf course, according to many football fans. The Pioneer High School lot is a great choice as well, but you can also look into third-party services.
