This hotel is bomb!! I booked through Expedia and accidentally selected a smoking room but my wife is asthmatic so I didn’t realize this until I arrived at the hotel. They didn’t have any king bed non-smoking available so the manager here hooked me up with the honeymoon suite at the same rate as the smoking king!!! Dude is amazing this weekend just got a lot better because of him. Please come stay here the staff is great!!!
This was our first stay at a Red Roof Inn and if possible, it will be our last stay. Upon checking in and arriving in the room, we immediately smelled a strong scent of smoke in this non-smoking room. We immediately started disinfecting the room by spraying the curtains, all the cloth surfaces, pulled the linen back on the bed and disinfected each layer when we noticed cigarette burns on the mattress cover. We notified the front desk and they sent someone with some disinfectant that they claim was better than what we were using. He sprayed it in the vents and said the smoke smell probably came from other guests smoking in the rooms. I told him to remedy that problem, there should be no smoking in the hotel. Not feeling comfortable with sleeping in the bed and using the towels, etc., we went to the local department store and purchased bed linen for the, bed, the sofa bed, towels, washcloths, tub mat and other needed items. I actually stayed up until 2 AM trying to find other accommodations to stay for the remaining of our stay. It did not make me feel comfortable being greeted in the halls and elevators by animals, since this is a pet friendly hotel. It said that, “you only have one time to make a first impression”. Red Roof Inn ruined their first impression. Highly disappointed.
Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Red Roof Inn in Pooler, and wanted to do a quick review. I arrived late around 11 pm on 3/11 and was greeted by Patrick. I have met him on previous occasions and he goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and is very personable. Check in was quick and efficient. Upon arriving to the room (a suite) one of the remote controls didn’t work, so I went back to the front desk and was assisted by Henry. He like Patrick was very personable and polite. Both of these guys deserve a raise. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be that the A/C unit set on 61 (the lowest setting) doesn’t cool the room to my personal level of desired cooling. I’ve stayed numerous times and this seems to be in all rooms at this location. I look forward to my next visit here in May or possibly sooner. Keep up the good work Patrick & Henry!
Loved it. Clean room, clean sheets. Checked in on a Monday and got a great deal considering in CT., I would have paid double. No coffee in rooms tho only in breakfast area. I had to leave at 4am but breakfast is out at 6am. Understandable as I'm a super early bird but would have liked some coffee when I woke up. I asked the staff if there was a place I could buy coffee and luckily there's a Parker gas station with freshly brewed coffee that grinds beans per cup so I did enjoy. Overall I definitly recommend this location and will stay again if I'm ever around in the area again.
Was passing through the area spent the night. first time in a red roof. I was impressed it was clean and the staff was great Patrick was at the front desk he was very helpful. I will definitely stay here on my way back
Taylor was such a great help. Very courteous and funny. She went above and beyond to help me get settled in. I’ll definitely be staying here for the next few months for work. The suits are also very spacious. Staff always does a fantastic job with housekeeping.
Lots of traffic in and out, seemed sketchy. It was fairly uncomfortable going outside just to smoke. It served its purpose just barely.
The manager, patrick patel, was very professional and showed a level of trust and compassion with my wife, kids, and I. We are travel nurses so we bounce around quite often. Last night our mobile banking app froze and we wernt able to do any banking or transfer our needed funds. Mr. Patel checked us in and provivded accommodations with the simple promise that we would square away in the morning. What else can i say, the service was great, rooms are clean, and the staff goes the extra mile to provide top notch customer service.
loved it !!! clean and the customer service was the best. I would definitely recommend this property. I had never stayed at a red roof before , and I did have my doubts since I had an issue with a choice hotel, but the lady at the front desk let me see the room before I rented it and it was nice and clean. The location is great next to plenty of restaurants and stores. I will defiantly be back.
1- we saw this roach at middle of room !!!! I told the lady in front desk if we could see them in the second floor room, what about kitchen etc.....That is so nasty...Then I checked the other reviews and find out this isn’t a new issue unfortunately!!!!
2-The other issue, I saw people who didn’t care about wearing the mask at all....
3- bed wasn’t comfortable at all and so noisy
I could look past the alcohol on the streets, the lady screaming outside, and the weed smell in the hallway for the price/deal. My boyfriend and I wanted a cheap decent place and this place did well (nice bed, clean bathroom, room service).... HOWEVER, the owners and employees almost rarely wore their mask correctly over their nose and did not encourage customers to wear masks. Some of the employees didn't even wear a mask....it's 2020, it's important to make your guests safe ...they didn't do that.
The responses from "The Management" on the reviews for this place are a laughable attempt to try and convince people that they care about their guests and the quality of the hotel. They don't. The business practice being applied here is similar to that of a slumlord. The idea is to rely on the low cost and good proximity to the airport to keep it alive, while minimizing costs by cutting corners and ignoring sustainability (like by skipping routine maintenance). The result is a decrepit hotel that's in disrepair, with no sense of hygiene, and it will no doubt get worse with age.
The walls and ceilings were filled with bad plaster repairs, careless paint touch-ups, and water damage. The tub had also been refinished, and the coating was falling apart, which was a bit gross to look at. I would suspect that someone with a mold allergy would have trouble breathing here. Speaking of breathing, the entire place reeks of some kind of deodorant/air freshener that was thick enough in the air to taste. We had to air out the room using the window in order to be able to breathe ok (I don't totally have respiratory issues).
Regarding cleanliness, the place was a disaster. Other people's hairs were left in the sink, on the counter, in the shower, and on the toilet seat. Upon inspection, the toilet seat had lines from where the disinfectant dripped and dried, which means their cleaning practice is to spray the toilet but not wipe it up. I suspect they do this in every surface, which explains why everything looked filthy, even though it was hopefully disinfected. The floors were sticky and the corners of the rooms were caked with dirt and dust. It's clear that the maintenance staff here cuts corners on everything. I hope I didn't contract any disease from this place...
The only thing this place had going for it is that it had climate control and a mini fridge.
Room was well appointed in a convenient location off I95. I rented 2 rooms. The room I stayed in did have a very heavy deodorant smile. Went next door to Sam's and purchased some spray neutralizer that corrected the problem. Also found a couple of live roaches. Desk clerks were pleasant. I didn't ask for any compensation for the inconvenience but it was offered however I never did receive it.
The room was great!! Thanks for allowing our pet to stay!! It was clean and relaxing!! I recommend this place especially if you have pets and the staff was excellent!! Front desk staff and cleaning staff! Thanks so much
I called to book with them for the upcoming weekend , I questioned the young man on the phone & Asked him if the hotel has “mold” due to all the reviews stating that the hotel did. I just wanted a simple yes or no. However the young man on the phone tells me “No we don’t have mold but you should just stay somewhere else then” I didn’t appreciate the rudeness , who drives a customer away. He simply could’ve replied “No ma’am we don’t have any mold in the rooms & I will see you on your upcoming stay. I asked to speak with a manager he stated he’s the only one at work right now which I highly doubt. Terrible customer service wouldn’t recommend!
No masks, no distancing, it appeared no recognition that we are in a pandemic. Many corporations ignore the politics and mandate their businesses protect their customers, employees and their image. I guess none of that is important to Red Roof.
This is an inexpensive place to stay, pretty clean, helpful staff.
I,stayed there for just over a week! Very nice staff and also very comfortable and quite. Close to Shopping and Dining within walking distance from hotel.
Super nice staff. Pretty sure its haunted. Rooms smelled great and clean but still mid reconstruction on bathrooms i think
