The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and neat. They offer a hot breakfast and it is delicious. You just don't find that in most hotels. Also the CSU campus next door is a great place to take a walk beautiful surroundings I would stay here again and again!

The rates were already high because we booked on a holiday weekend so I won’t fault the establishment for the high rates; however, I will say the quality of facility or service did not come close to justifying the rates. I’m actually confused about how this hotel has a 4.3 overall rating at the time I’m writing this review. We don’t complain and are more gracious than most. I’m highly disappointed with this particular establishment. I would absolutely not book a room here a second time.

Lovely accommodations & staff was wonderful. Only complaint, which was MY OWN FAULT, was this wonderful facility was ONE HR EACH WAY from I-95. I was traveling between 4 states & didn't NEED extra drive... 😣

Enjoyed our three night stay while our child attended "Accepted Student" Weekend! Clean, comfortable, quiet hotel at edge of campus of Charleston Southern University. Tasty breakfasts were available each day! We WILL be back, probably multiple times, as we live 400 miles away! Great hotel that we can HEARTILY recommend!

This hotel was nice, but never again. Our guests arrived in town at 2 AM, so I met them at the hotel to pay. The girl at the desk (appearing to be from India-nothing negative, just for identifying) made sure to make eye contact with me when she said, "...and there is a $250 fee if you're ""caught"" smoking." The emphasis put on "caught" is what got me. We stay at hotels quite a bit, but I have NEVER felt this way when told the rules! My daughter later told me that she smelled marijuana there, but I couldn't imagine this girl acting this way to all their guests. And sure, I came in wearing sweats and a ball cap (at 2 AM), but people should be comfortable wearing whatever they wish!...especially since they're paying the same money as everyone else!! The other issue was their authorization hold. There were 2 charges on my account for the whole (2 night) stay! And the girl I spoke with when I called in even mentioned there being a note stating not to take this charge! I am thinking maybe the site I used for the reservation doesn't allow extra charges to be taken, I don't know. *DOUBLE CHARGES FOR BOTH NIGHTS LOCKED UP MY FUNDS FOR SEVERAL DAYS!!* Never again.

Thanks for your response. My son's friends stayed 10/16-10/18, I was there after 2 AM to pay, I have already confronted the girl at front desk after check-in, and have spoken with Hailey (hope I spelled that correctly) on 10/18-who offered for me to leave a voicemail for you regarding the issue with charges-and you were present when I spoke with Hailey, so I hope the additional info helps for confirming.
