Welcome to Salt Lake and the Salt Lake City, Utah State Capitol. We have so many things seem to hear some people say with a most accessible city in the western United States often called the crossroads of the West. Not only are we ten minutes in a solid international airport we are 10 minutes from some of the most incredible mountain experiences as you know we hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics and one of the reasons that we were chosen as the Olympic city is the proximity for the mountains of the Wasatch mountain range and that makes it very easy for one day go out into the mountains and experience all the various activities that are available hiking, mountain biking trail, walking trail, running in the winter, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, obviously people know us for having the greatest snow on earth here in the state of Utah and Salt Lake is no exception within an hour there are seven ski resorts the ones that visit from Salt Lake.

The Good Side of SLC

Salt Lake is also home to Utah's number one tourist attraction which is Temple Square it's an incredible gift to the community from the Latter-day Saint Church and something that so many of our visitors are excited when they get there the grounds the care that is taking on to prepare the grounds for this is is incredible. The architecture that is available the ability for you to have respite from the day to day and go to an area that allows you to reflect on what's important and is something that is not to be missed. We here in Salt Lake Salt Lake has long been a center of a regional center for shopping. We have a wonderful renovated warehouse and an industrial area called the Gateway that is home to incredible shopping, theaters, restaurants activities for the entire Family.

The Bad Side of SLC

Obviously, Salt Lake gets its name from the Great Salt Lake it is the largest inland body of water in North America. Something that is really something one should experience heading to Antelope Island and experience the Great Salt Lake and what it has to offer a visitor from a unique geological perspective is not to be missed. Our Airport is an international airport you can get here from Europe you can get here from Asia and then the the potential to use Salt Lake is that gateway to the west and experience all of the incredible things that you have again from Yellowstone National Park being very close to Salt Lake and then our own Utah national parks with Bryce Canyon Science National Park, Grand Escalante Staircase National Monument and so many opportunities that one has within a very short five to six hour drive from Salt Lake. We hope you'll take a chance to come and visit Salt Lake and see why we're truly different by Nature.
