Perfunctory regional airport. Surpassingly nice inside but way too small for the number of people in it. TSA is a breeze here and moves people through quickly. I haven’t been to an airport where you board from the tarmac in a long time. It is kinda of fun to do it this way, but admittedly this would have been a less enjoyable experience if it were raining or icy. Overall, a good experience.

Tiniest airport I've been through. Has less than 10 terminals. I'd so much rather go through security here than to have had my friends drop me off at the Atlanta airport. Easy breezy.

Nice little airport we use from time to time. Easy drop off and pick up but like most airports this size the arrivals and departures seem to all happen at the same time. Parking is plentiful and there is a cell phone lot. Getting to the airport is a different story as I 26 has construction both coming and going so plan ahead especially depending on times for flights. There are some small dining facilities at the airport. The displays inside are reflective of the area with photos of things to see.

Regional airports that service large carriers at an affordable price get 5 stars every time. Thank you AVL for what you do for travelers.
Now Relatively speaking, it's just an okay Regional airport. Very cramped and feels really crowded even though it's not actually busy.
Again, this airport is EXCELLENT. It's small and easy to get around but the small size makes it "feel" like a big busy place.

AVL is a bustling airport that serves the local area. The air carrier termin is a little small but has plenty of seating. No jetbridges and all boarding/deplaning is done via stairs/ramps.
There is plenty of ramp space for corporate jets too. It has 2 ILSs and 2 RNAVs. There are mountains that surround it but the runway lies in a valley.

Great airport!
Be prepared for horrible traffic entering airport. Traffic backed up due to right turning traffic and one lane to terminal. Traffic gets stuck blocking lanes in all directions.
Cell lot is open has no restrooms nope not even a Porta John. 2 hour delays aren't fun with no relief.

Nice and quiet airport, it's clean and maintained but you can tell it's old. Security lines are short as they have just a few scheduled flights departing and arriving at 7 gates.
It serves general aviation too and you can see exec jets take off and land.
Not many shops and no lounges.

Asheville Regional Airport is a very nice airport. I like that it is on the smaller side, yet offers a lot. We generally fly Allegiant which is a very economical way to fly. The airport also hosts other airlines, if you want to use them, including DELTA and AMERICAN AIRLINES.

A great regional airport located in a perfect mountain town! The airport is less than 30 minutes from almost everything you want to do in Asheville. The terminal has adequate seating & is comfortable. Food options are a little lacking but, that's to be expected with the size of the terminal. I'll definitely be flying here again in the future!

We fly out of here a lot, as we live in a nearby town. Asheville regional has that small airport feeing while still servicing lots of destinations, and medium bodied aircraft. But, the airport can get very very busy on the weekend, and parking is expensive. I would recommend arriving about 45 minutes to an hour before your flight, depending on what day it is. A lot of the times, the parking lots are completely full, or almost full. This is a great airport!!

I love this Airport 🛫. Small in size, everything is laid out right so you do not have to walk far to get to your gate. TSA is thorough but yet kinder than most agents I’ve had to deal with in my travels.

Undergoing a major renovation of the entire airport so everything can be chaotic at times. All jetways are not being used at the current time so there is makeshift walkways onto the tarmac to board. Decent selection of snacks and last minute needs. Very cool new security screening machines. Since the airport is small at peak travel times it can get crowded easily.

An extremely small airport and somehow the checked luggage took longer to get to the baggage carousel then it takes an Atlanta (ATL) or Tampa (TPA). But it is a very nice "homey" or "comfy" airport. Its nice to have these smaller airports because the drive from the nearest larger airport would be a 60 minute drive.

First time flying into Ashville. It's a nice little airport. It wasn't very busy and we were through security in a few minutes. Had a couple of overpriced drinks at the bar but what would you expect. I would fly through here again.

Airport small but nice. Security great. Sundry shop great. Need more dining options. Cleanliness needs to be improved. R
Women’s restroom needs to be twice as big as the men’s. Toilet seat covers must be provided. Towel dispensers were empty at 7:00 in the morning so they were not filled overnight. General cleanliness of Lou gs need improvement.

As others have said, undergoing renovations. This is a very small airport, all gates the same direction after security. Lines are small for security when we passed by. For most flights, you have to walk on tarmac to get to plane. Luggage pickup is literally right next to car pickup line, so divide and concur because car line gets busy.

What a quaint Regional Airport! Only 7 gates! Nice full service restaurant with bar. The food was good, the server was very nice and knowledgeable, even with many tables to tend to at once. Lovely snack and souvenir shop. Also has an Auntie Ann's and Cinnabon. I will enjoy it when we fly back home.

UPDATE 8/24: This airport is currently growing and under construction. Typically, this is a very friendly, efficient, cute little airport. I would expect that in the future, but I would anticipate potential delays (from what I'm seeing from other reviews. I've had no delays or issues). They just added this awesome little feature where volunteers walk "comfort pets" around to help people with their anxiety or nerves about flying. There is a coffee bar with snacks, baked goods, a few types of coffee.. there's also a full bar facing the runway, a gift ship, Auntie Anne's, and now a new wing with another little bar serving alcohol. They also have brand new bag scanners and body scanners at security. So, I left my hat on, watch on, and the lady behind me kept her laptop in her bag. I guess they are the latest greatest.
I had nice service from security, especially, and everyone else was chill! I do love this airport, and it'll only get better.

Check in service is always fast and effortless regardless If I am traveling solo, with a friend, or with 48 students. Security was very thorough and we got through it fairly quickly. Everyone was super helpful and friendly for it to be so early in the morning. The Asheville Airport is one of the better airports to fly in and out of. Less stress and a more enjoyable travel experience.
