When it comes to air travel, securing the right parking spot can significantly enhance your journey. This guide offers a detailed overview of the various parking solutions available at the airport in Redmond, ensuring you have all the information needed to make informed decisions.
Understanding Your Parking Options
RDM Airport provides a range of parking choices tailored to meet the diverse needs of travelers. Whether you're dropping someone off, picking them up, or embarking on a long trip, there’s an option that fits your requirements.
1. Short-Term Parking
Short-term parking is designed for quick visits, making it ideal for those who need to drop off or pick up passengers. Located conveniently near the terminal, this option allows for easy access without the hassle of a long walk. Rates are typically charged by the hour, making it a practical choice for brief stays. For example, if you're just running in to grab a friend, this is the most efficient option.
2. Long-Term Parking
Planning a vacation or a business trip? Long-term parking is your best bet. This option is perfect for travelers who need to leave their vehicles for several days or even weeks. While these lots may be situated a bit further from the terminal, complimentary shuttle services are available to transport you directly to your departure gate. This means you can relax knowing your car is safe while you’re away.
3. Budget-Friendly Parking
If you're looking to save money, budget parking offers the most economical rates. Although these lots are generally located farther from the terminal, they provide excellent value for travelers willing to use a shuttle service. This option is particularly advantageous for longer trips where cost savings are a priority. For instance, if you're planning a week-long getaway, this could save you a significant amount compared to other options.

Landed, got checked luggage, went on to my destination.
Actually - We met the most pleasant TSA and Alaska Air gate agents during our cross country trip this Fall. The relaxed atmosphere beats the larger airports on our trip. One of our group is blind, and they took special care to be respectful and helpful to her.
Thanks Redmond!

Great small town airport with local charm. Commercial side all gates are loaded outside via ramps (bring your coat) and there are two baggage carousels inside. (served by major carriers Delta, Alaska, United etc) On GA side there is a nice jet center (see Leading Edge) with all GA services.
The good - Make it from the car to the gate in 10 mins most days. Small town charm.
The bad - So small, if something little happens it can take 1 hour to get through (ie computer issues, people call in sick etc) - Parking is $15 a day.
and always mountain views!

Love this airport--it's super clean, spacious, well-organized, easy to get into and out of, and the staff are efficient and friendly. So wish more airports were like this! Makes traveling a pleasure.

For a small airport, it’s pretty nice. Easy to get a ride share to and from. Security line is easy and quick. If you go upstairs, the Avalon Aeropub has a good selection of local beer and surprisingly excellent hamburgers. My only complaint was that the AC wasn’t great. That said it was 100° and it usually isn’t that hot in the area.

Very nice regional/municipal airport. Seems small for the amount of travelers coming and going but everything ran smoothly when we were there.
My only complaint is the outdoor jetways. It was breezy and chilly waiting in line to board the plane. Just thankful it wasn’t raining or snowing.

This is one of my favorite airports. It is super user-friendly and accessible, easy to navigate, and all of the staff from TSA to airline agents to the car rental agents are friendly and helpful. It is very easy and affordable to park with just a short walk to the terminal. Gates are limited, so be aware that your departure gate may not be on the screen until 20 minutes before boarding. No worries though, all the gates are in one place. Plenty of seating while you wait, and a small convenience store is also right by the gates. Happy flying!

It's a great little airport. I went to pick up my car there, too! Eight am was a bit too early for most. The flight there was easy from Seattle, but getting there in a previous night at midnight was an experience. My friends were nice enough to pick us up at that Godly hour. All was good and our car was just down the way in their parking lot.

Small regional airport with a great second floor space. There isn't much to the airport but they do have a toddler play area across from the baggage claim which is nice when traveling with little ones.
The 4 star is only because TSA was surprisingly slow given how few people there were in line.

Small airport. United, Delta, American, and Alaska airlines. Very fast moving through TSA check point. I arrive 30 minutes before boarding and never had a problem. Fly in and out once a month. Because it's small, weather can impact the airport and delay flights. It's home for me, so of course I like it.

It’s great that this airport is here. You can only spend so much time in central Oregon without going crazy, and that’s why cheap flights to LA exist. Hopefully more flights to and from California in the future.

All the people here are incredible. Especially Stuart Jackson who went ABOVE and beyond to help us with weird technical issues and get on new flights in time to make it to our babymoon destination in the same day. Seriously. Amazing. Give that man a raise.
Best airport in America.

Good airport passed through security in only about a minute because I was the only one there. Efficient and has a decent amount of flights to places around the us. Chill and not at all stressful.

I've been to this airport twice and it is a really small regional airport. Coming from Hawaii I'm quite use to seeing small airports.
When you land and step out of the aircraft you are greeted with a ramp vs a jet bridge. Be ready to brave the elements if it's raining or snowing.
The best part is how fast the bags come out on the carousel. I'm sure it's mostly based on the airline carrier that you are flying but I must say it was quick. I flew Delta and I noticed that the oversized bags came out first. The regular bags came out only a short while after.
The walk to curbside pickup/drop-off is quick and isn't nearly as far as other airports. This is a huge plus especially if you are running late.
I would caution you that if you are bringing certain types of food as carry on then be ready to get screened by TSA like you have never been before. The TSA group here probably does one of the most comprehensive screenings I've seen.

As airports go this is a well managed and spacious small airport. There is only a few gates and waiting area is bright and expansive. There is an excellent restaurant this family owned on the Mezzanine level inside security called Avalon Aeropub. They have several top notch local brews on tap and the food was delicious. The fish tacos were amazing, a great way to pass the time waiting for a flight. Th

Simple and pleasant municipal airport. All of the staff was friendly, including TSA. The layout is super easy to navigate and it's practically spotless cleanliness wise. The $200 million upgrade 2023 will be interesting, hopefully that entails a few more shops and places to eat.
An area to learn about the surroundings, culture, and history of Central Oregon would be kind of neat, you know in case a flight is delayed 👀

This is a super small airport with friendly employees, making it easy to navigate. There is only one small shop for snacks and coffee, so there can be a line, but it moves quickly. They also have a water bottle filler machine, so bring your reusable bottles!

Nice small airport. Security is very fast and there are only 5 gates. There is a bar/restaurant upstairs with reasonable prices. Menu is in the picture and a small bend/Oregon gift shop that serves to go coffees and sell books and magazines as well.

Any time that I travel I always prefer leaving from the Redmond Airport even if I have to connect at a different city. It's a small airport but I don't have to worry a whole bunch trying to get through the gates and have the stress if missing the flights like the bigger airports. Everyone is friendly and I've never had any issues with any of the flights from here.

A bit of an odd duck. Most people (107,000) live in Bend, 30 minutes away, but the airport is in Redmond (35,000 pop). The morning rush hour for departures is also around 5:00 am.
Also, no jetways, so dress for the long walk along the tarmac to get into the terminal.
On the upside, A320 and 727 class jets now go to central OR.

The gate agent Georgia gets 5 stars. She was awesome on a tough travel weekend. She quickly got us another connection from Denver to our destination after our rdm flight was delayed. The main thing was She saved our original flight reservation just in case something happened and it was also delayed.... well it was delayed just enough that we actually made it to the original flight and we got to our destination only 1 hour late on Christmas eve vs 1 day late....

Small but efficient airport. Easy to rent a car and plenty of gas stations nearby to refuel yourself.

Pretty snippy and rude agent woman at check-in who refused to help us change our flight as we were going to miss our connection, even though there was a flight available. She also snapped at her poor colleague for no reason who simply offered to help her book us on the flight we needed. She’s in the wrong job if she can’t be friendly and deal with a pretty reasonable request.
5 stars for the legend who stepped in and got us on the flight we needed at the gate. He was kind, friendly and professional. Give him a raise!
