I've flown into this airport for work over the past few years. Here and ABE are about the same distance from my destination, but this airport is my preference.
No need to remove laptops at screening. TSA lines are always short and agents are friendly. Super easy rental car pick up and drop off. LOVE that there is a hotel that literally adjoins (you can just check out and walk a very short distance right to the airport doors).
Sure, food options aren't plentiful but better than expected for the airport size.

This would be a 5 star if they would just improve baggage claim. Every time I return from any trip, I always wait a crazy amount of unreasonable time for my bag...longest 45 minutes, but average is 25-30 minutes.

Wonderful little airport. No crowds. No hassle. Great/speedy bus service from long-term parking.
I don't fly much, but my one complaint is that the airport doesn't have direct flights to enough cities. (For example: I've used the direct flight to Boston a couple times. Would love to see a direct flight to Albany so I don't have to drive to BWI for that. )

Very small airport with only about 12 gates, but no crowds or long lines anywhere. I felt like was only one at the airport From time to drop-off, was at gate within 5 minutes. There's a few souvenir shops and a Seafood restaurant in terminal A. There's no Airline lounges, but has free Wi-Fi through the airport.

It's a pretty easy airport to navigate in, and getting checked by security was fast and painless. People are courteous, and flights are almost always on time. The only downside is that the food is pricey, but that's to be expected from any airport you go to. Other than that, no issues!

Overall great airport and military friendly staff but avoid that parking garage. Left my car there for 1 day in a spot that looked to be open by the door and had to pay $750 for towing and still had to pay for parking. If you park there just park 300 feet from the door and handicap spots or Cockers Towing will cancel Christmas

I live in Lancaster and it’s a short 25 minute drive you can park and walk to the gate in minutes. So convenient. Parking is easy and affordable at a daily rate of $20. They have a great little massage store in the Terminal by the Delta Gate. Also to note they have a Phillips Seafood Restaurant and a Subway.

Clean and very efficient airport serving the central PA area. Terminal opens at 5:30am but the TSA lines are pretty quick so you should have limited issues getting to your 6:15am flight (small number of gates).
Food options at the airport are limited.
Prices are generally higher than going to Philly since it is a regional hub airport and not a major airport. Ample parking is present and the off-site economy parking lot is well serviced by good staff and frequent buses.

The airport itself is small and very easy to navigate. My family and I were able to get through security very quickly. We did have to wait for a long time in order to drop off our bag since no one was at the baggage drop off due to our flight getting delayed by 30 minutes. There are only three terminals which are all pretty small since they have about 6 gates each. There are also only a handful of food options available. We ended up choosing a bagel sandwich place which was good, but definitely fell into the classic overpriced category that airport restaurants tend to be in. Otherwise our trip went very smoothly

The airport is small which makes it easy to drop off for departures as well as picking up arrivals. It's a quick check-in process an getting to your gate isn't a long walk. Ots not overly crowded at least the couple times I flew in an out of there. They have a cell phone lot to park in which is maybe a half mile from where you pick up passengers. Great place to get in an out fast. It's a shorter drive to our house also instead of Philly or BWI.

Here I am traveling on Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving at 11am. I have to say this is the first time in ANY airport in the world that I am so relaxed and chill! Never have had any issues flying out of HIA. Security lines are minimal which makes it so much nicer of a process to fly. Centrally located and decent prices depending on where your destination is obviously. We enjoy the direct flights to Denver.

Convenient and quaint. Easy in/out and friendly, helpful staff. I give it 4.5 stars. .5 star deduction for the time it takes to get your luggage. Since this hasn't gotten better in the last 40 years, they should at least put chairs down there. I can only spend so much time looking at a tractor, but I do appreciate the variety of tractors I've seen there. Delta has a sign there guaranteeing luggage in 20 minutes, though no contact info to let them know how they are doing. There's a flaw.

Harrisburg International Airport was a great experience! The airport was clean, and we had no trouble finding our boarding gate quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the process smooth. It was also easy to locate the rental car area and grab our checked luggage without any hassle. Overall, a well-organized and efficient airport—I’d definitely fly through here again!

Easy airport to maneuver around in. Easy to greet arriving passengers during disembarkation and easy to get to baggage carousels. The car rental locations are a little weirds to get to from the upper level, but overall not too bad. Airport is clean...they could use more food courts or choices of places to eat. Parking is like most others however, since the airport isn't absolutely huge it isn't too bad. Bus service from long term parking runs seemingly well. Ultimately its a good airport. Also....you might get to see Air Force One taking off from the Air National Guard base located adjacent to the airport as they refuel there before heading back to Andrews Air Force base.

The airport itself is small, clean, fairly laidback as in not too busy all the times I’ve gone through here.
Rental cars are open until midnight, sometimes later depending on flights coming in. No pres circle though since they can’t secure their cars here.
C gates have a cool room for doing laptop stuff or lounging

Line at TSA can get long, but they work through it fairly quickly. You can get off your flight, walk through the terminal, grab your luggage & be on your way in easily 15 min or less! Love the staff here and the location, as it’s only a 20-30 minute drive from my house in Lebanon County. I will ALWAYS fly in to HIA over PHL, they win in a landslide!

HIA is a small airport, but they do a good job keeping things running smoothly. The parking garage is adequate, with off-site parking available for those rare times it is needed. My only complaint is that the luggage takes forever to reach the carousel.

Update: 6/24/2022...this is a super easy airport. In and out. As of note though, Long Term Parking is available at $10 per day, vs the $15 per day in Short Term. Website that I reviewed before our 12 day trip said Long Term not available and I could not find a phone number to call and verify. Just spent $60 more than I needed to; Long Term Shuttles are running, I saw them with my own eyes. 😎

There is a free cellphone parking lot, where waiting for plane arrivals of travelers is great space. Then the traveler can call or text you while waiting. Let's you drive up when ready so as not be holding up traffic waiting for arrival.

This is my first time at Harrisburg Airport, it was really nice and nice change from the big ones that you go crazy trying to find anything including the exit it took like 5 minutes from off the airplane to my daughter's vehicle and people there were very helpful because I need wheelchair assistance because of my age and my disabilities or my other than abilities. I will recommend this place for sure to everybody. Matter of fact I'm going to go home I'm going to fly out of the Harrisburg Airport to my home.
