Not only were the security and fight attendants were nice and helpful. The lady at the restaurant Sheri was amazing. She made me feel welcomed and also helped remind me of the upcoming flight but it was her demeanor with her staff that spoke volumes. Her positive attitude and her friendly manner made me want to stay longer and miss my flight. I would love to to work under her leadership with her encouraging attitude and pushing her team to to point of success. Thank you Sheri for making my 1hr and 45 min wait seem like 20mins.

Cute little airport without the hustle and bustle of a big city airport. Only returned a car here, and the young lady at Avis was a pleasure to deal with. Pleasant atmosphere.

Within the last 2 years they have made some awesome upgrades to the building inside and out. Very clean and bright. Friendly Airport staff.

Love flying out of my local airport. Easy in, easy out. Always the best gate agent ever, so friendly and joyful.

Super great airport with the kindest staff ever, you’ll be through security in 5-10 mins. Only problem is that it takes them over an hour to get checked bags off the plane and onto the baggage pick up belts every. single. time. No other airport I’ve ever been to takes this long to get bags from the plane into the airport. I think it would be an amazing idea for this airport to partner with local artists to get more artwork in it, there’s a lot of great space for creative Fayetteville related art that is currently just blank walls and empty floors

Ok, so there’s both pros and cons to this place, but overall, the airport was the best part about my week here.
Pros:
TSA is actually cheerful and polite here. I actually got patted down for the first time in a while (and hand swabbed), but it wasn’t that bad based solely on the personable demeanor of the agents.
Tailwinds is a small grill and bar at the airport, I think the only one here. I was pretty happy with the food, the bartender was friendly, and the drinks weren’t watered down (at airport prices, that’s important to me).
Now this next part will probably not be important to a majority of people, but to those of us that care, it’s huge. They have an open air smoking balcony in the secure area! It’s caged off with stout metal, but it is open. So not only do you have the rare convenience of a smoking lounge, it’s also not stale and musty like the closed in ones. I always wondered why this wasn’t a thing in other airports in most countries. They don’t have to pay for marginally effective ventilation systems, and smokers and capers do t have to smell like they just spent 10 hours in an 80s bowling alley. Just wonderful.
Cons:
Only 1. When you arrive, go to the baggage carousel and stay there no matter what else happens. Seriously. Even if the place catches fire. Handcuff yourself to the carousel. Unlike any other airport I’ve ever been to, they run it for about 5 minutes, then they pull all the baggage off back in the secure area. And then every delta employee disappears. There’s no one to talk to, no one to call, no nothing. A handful of us didn’t know this, and we were effectively held hostage at the airport for almost an hour until we cornered a local police officer and convinced him to go back into the employee area to get someone. Otherwise, we would have been stuck there for about 5 hours until check in for the next flight. So ye be warned, and all that.
We all know that regionals have limited staff. That’s why bags are pulled off the belt *forward of the wall when they stop running it at every other airport.
But overall, I’d recommend.

flight for deplaned … at 12 o’clock the bar opened and that was the saving grace of everyone’s day. We had sheri as a bartender . yes she was very busy with all the passengers that got delayed for beyond three hours but she was very proficient, professional and courteous during her service hours. She should definitely get a raise because it was definitely chaotic today at the airport. She served everyone with happiness and patience and everyone got their food and drinks on a timely manner. Thank you for making my and the ther miserable experience exquisite .

Update: A great experience! Still the same size it was 18 years ago when I left! 🤗 Though it was under construction, it was still easy to check in and the staff were courteous. Also I watched how efficient the runway workers were and that they handled the luggage carefully!

We consistently have positive experiences at FAY. Specifically, today, customer service was 5 stars from the moment we walked in until we boarded our plane. Sara, at the American Airlines counter, was super helpful and went the extra mile to help us with our baggage. Sherry, at the new bar and grille, was absolutely wonderful. From start to finish she was personable and attentive. The folks at security were equally as pleasant and helpful!

Great Regional airport! No need to drive to a larger airport. The ease of access & friendly and helpful staff made flying with our bicycles super-easy! Can't wait to see what's in store with the expansion. Go FAY!

Clean, friendly staff and on time.
My flight was at 5:18a so I arrived at the airport at 3:45a.
The checkin process was very quick and staff was really friendly. Even the police were helping people get to their locations.
I took off half a star for the out of order self checkin kiosks and a half a star because elevators were visible. It's a very small airport with only two floor so it didn't kill me to walk up the steps.
