Very tiny airport in Lexington, Kentucky. TSA took no more than 5 minutes from beginning to end. Checking in bags at the counter was super easy and fast. Has a big bourbon bar inside where u can drink and eat while you wait for your flight. There's also a gift shop where you can get snacks and last-minute gifts. Lastly, there's a specialty bourbon shop where u can purchase some bottles to take home. Staff is super friendly everywhere in this airport. Our server at the bar was really nice and friendly and extremely knowledgeable in all the different types of bourbon available for us to try. She recommended certain ones for those who had never had bourbon before. Overall, it was a great experience at this airport.

Smaller airport, easy to navigate with a bourbon library and Cork & Barrel. Self serve kiosk for drinks and sandwiches and a gift shop area for the normal duty-free items. Easy loading/unloading process. Clearly marked areas for car rentals, security and baggage claim. Very clean restrooms!

Great airport. It's a smaller airport so wasn't as busy at the time. Checked-In online to make the process go a lil smoother and quicker(not interested in standing in "that" line) 🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️ Staff seems to be very friendly. Just as much as you wanna get through the check point, they do too. Just gotta pack ya patience and arrive just about an hour early.

Small but clean! Pretty easy going! Been here some years ago but this time looks great! However I can tell the only Good thing to stop by before a flight is the Bar at the entrance 🍹🍻🥂🍸🍺 because even the local Sky Club is closed so is better just arrive an hour before flying. No big planes at all are used in the airport. ✈️

I always get through to my gate pretty quickly with no issues. Our flight with Delta was delayed due to a "maintenance issue" which happened to be a broken arm rest in the exit row. I don't know if it's the airport or Delta who contracts the mechanic but he was not in the airport at the time and waiting for him to get there and fix the issue had us miss our connection flight. Delta did get us on a new flight and we made it to our destination 2 hours late.

From start to finish, my experience at Bluegrass Airport in Kentucky was nothing short of exceptional. The moment I stepped into the terminal, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere and a sense of efficiency that set the tone for the entire journey.

The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, thanks to the helpful and courteous staff who guided me through every step. Security procedures were conducted with professionalism and speed, ensuring minimal wait times and maximum convenience for passengers.

As I explored the airport, I was impressed by its clean and well-maintained facilities. From the restrooms to the dining options, everything was immaculate and thoughtfully designed to enhance the traveler's experience.

Despite being a smaller airport, Bluegrass Airport offers a surprising variety of amenities. Whether you're looking for a quick bite to eat, a last-minute souvenir, or a comfortable spot to relax before your flight, you'll find it here. The shopping and dining options exceeded my expectations, offering a taste of local cuisine and culture.

Boarding the plane was a breeze, thanks to the efficient boarding process implemented by the airline staff. Once onboard, I appreciated the comfortable seating and attentive service provided by the flight crew.

Overall, my experience at Bluegrass Airport exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived to the moment I departed, every aspect of the journey was seamlessly orchestrated, making it a five-star experience in every respect. Small airport so you get through security quickly and it is extremely easy to navigate. Parking is super easy to navigate as well. Negative is that almost all restaurants/shopping closes around 6pm so there is a lack of variety. The airport does have a self serve food stand.

Airport itself is nice and so are the American Airlines, Delta, and Allegiant desks. Agents at the United desk are utterly horrible though and left a terrible impression on my departing Norwegian friend as she left and just told her to "run" when she was sure to be late for her flight home to Oslo.

I hate airports! However, it was super easy to get a parking spot less than 20 feet away from the entrance😃. There was a short line to get the ticket, and then my son went through the checkpoint. Super clean and super efficient. 👍👍

This review is about the air museum next to the airport.

It was nice, very quiet, and off the beaten path. I loved the Doolittle display in the back. The propeller design station was also very informative.

This is a lovely airport and right in the heart of the city. There is a good restaurant and Dunkin donuts at this airport.

We were dropping off for departure, and I first time here. This is a small airport. Took a minute to figure it out, but it was pretty simple to commute in and out of.

One of the smoothest and easiest airports that I’ve travelled to and from. Got there on Monday afternoon. It wasn’t very busy and it was easy to navigate. The car rental is by baggage claim and a short walk to it.

Travelled back on Friday around 10am and there was no line to go through the security. I walked in, showed my ID and got to my gate within 5 min. Everyone was very polite and friendly.

Nice airport, pretty small so super easy to navigate. Not a lot of food offerings, the Dunkin had quite the line for morning coffee.

Really enjoyed this airport. It was very clean and well organized. The shops there are great. One note worthy shop was the bourbon spirits shop. Just glanced around quickly but was impressed by the little bit if time i spent in there. Will explore and wrote about more in depth tomorrow. Also have not eaten at any of the restaurants but also will try a couple places and write abiut them tomorrow.

Fantastic airport for the market size it serves. Has a lounge. Good food options. TSA is well run and efficient. Very clean. Well operated. Rental car is right there as you hit baggage claim. Even has valet. Overall, this airport punches well beyond its weight class.

Cons - the airport has grown so quickly it can’t keep up with the parking garage needs. Constantly going to the top floor to see that even the top floor is almost full.

Further, it is an absolute dead zone for Verizon. Good luck getting more than a bar of service. Surprised that airport management hasn’t worked with Verizon to solve this, especially with Keeneland across the street. I have to sometimes take a conference call down the street before coming to the airport to avoid the awful cell phone service. Most airports cover cell coverage with providers since airports are such a business hub.

Grand airport in the midst of Horse Country, Keeneland and rural-urban routes to downtown Lexington. Long way from Fort Campbell, Kentucky!

Nice small efficient airport! And you can buy up to 5 litres of bourbon to carry onboard! From modestly-priced bottles up to over $1,000 per bottle!

This is a small airport that could use some updating but that's the only reason it's not getting 5 stars from me. I flew out of here the other night and there was no wait to get through security, not to mention the TSA staff was the friendliest I've ever encountered. They were all smiles, cracking jokes and starting friendly conversation. Even the woman in front of me said "I need to fly through here more often!". Travel can be draining sometimes and I've been in airports where the security is yelling and on edge the whole time, so interacting with people who seem to be happy and positive really made my night. Well done!

Genuinely the best airport I have ever been to. TSA was so efficient, the people were actually nice, and the entire process was so unbelievably quick. It took about fifteen minutes total. I only paid $13/day for garage parking that was 20 feet from the entrance. The only downfall is most flights you have a layover in Atlanta. They fly to about fifteen cities direct, but mostly seasonally and budget airlines.

This is always a pleasant experience for us. The airport staff is always hospitable and moving with ease through TSA is such a relief. I'm sharing this on Thanksgiving day, we are so thankful yesterdays travel back to Dallas was like butter.

Now this is an airport! Small and so friendly. TSA staff actually talked to you like nice! The car rental is so close to the exit. Free snacks and drinks by the gate. Wonderful experience. Very impressed other airports should look at this set up. The Delta sky lounge was so friendly, I was greated by a smiling happy face. Thank you !

I love this airport. I drive about an hour and a half to travel through Lexington Airport, but the drive is beautiful and relaxing. The airport is small and easy to navigate. Stress free from the ticket counter to the plane.
